ALF (real name "Gordon Shumway") is the main protagonist in ALF and ALF: The Animated Series.

Trivia

• He hails from the planet Melmack.
• Like most of his species, eats cats. However, when acquiring a new cat, intending to eat it, he actually grows fond of it and allows it to be adopted to the Tanners (his adopted human family), even though he does admit that he's become the worst kind of Melmackian, a "cat lover".
