Summary[]

People need more information, so 4, Clyde McBride, and Lincoln Loud go out there to battle the Puzzler.

Script[]

Agent 27: Agent 27 here. There's something going wrong!

3: But not for long!

6: Tell us the problem.

Agent 27: It's at the cafe!

Numberjacks & Heroes: 4, 3, 2, 1, 0!

[4 sees some little orange bubbles float past him

4: We're noticing something quite strange - little bubbles!

5: Looking closer. [sees some bubbles on a child's shirt]

Thomas: Uh oh! There's only one Meanie we know who makes bubbles and trouble!

Luna Loud: Who's that?

4: I know - look!

[The Puzzler is spitting bubbles]

Howard McBride: Great good heavens!

Harold McBride: A floating head!

Edward: That's no ordinary floating head - that's the Puzzler!

Lucy Loud: So creepy... I like it.

5: We know all about the Puzzler!

[Puzzler's Song]

Let me tell you what I'm talking about....

The Puzzler, The Puzzler, he's got a twisted mind

His bubbles mean trouble if you get trapped inside

You'd better start thinking if the Puzzler has got you

Cause if you can't sort the Puzzler out, the Puzzler will sort you

Oh yeah

4: Puzzler, up to your tricks again?

Puzzler:

Yes, I have got a puzzle for all 3 of you,

You've got some finding out to do!

What is the problem for the waitress?

You'd better come up with a great guess.

It's the same problem for the teacher,

Find what it is, or I will beat ya!

[The Puzzler laughs and floats away]

5: Agents! Why is it the same problem for the waitress and the teacher?

[AGENT 44 calls in]

Agent 44: The thing is, they both don't know enough. The waitress doesn't know who has ordered what food, and the teacher doesn't know how many children want football and how many want television.

6: I get it! Both of them need the right information. The waitress needs information about the food people want.

5: And the teacher needs information about what the children want to do.

3: And the Puzzler's bubbles are making everything go wild, so getting the information is impossible!

5: Oh, dear! Without the right information, anything can happen!

[A 2D animation of a zookeeper feeding seals leaves.]

5: [Voiceover] At the zoo, if they didn't have the right information about what the animals liked to eat, they might give leaves to the seals, and throw fish to the giraffes!

[The Seals splash the leaves outta their enclosure, and fish are thrown to some surprised looking giraffes. A man and a woman pile a shopping trolley full of things, even putting a man in an apron on the top of the pile]

5: [Voiceover] Or, you might go shopping, and not know what things you need, and what you don't need. You might buy anything!

[2 Factory workers watch as robotic arms decorate a car with all sorts of wheels, horns, steering wheels and lights]

5: [Voiceover] Or people in a factory might not have the information on how to make a car - and make it completely wrong!

[the crazy-looking car goes off the conveyor belt, and then collapses shortly after. Fade back to reality]

5: People definitely need the right information to know what to do.

Rita Loud: Did you get all that, Lincoln? The waitress and the teacher both need the right information.

[4, Clyde, & Lincoln are in the cafe.]

Lincoln Loud: Certainly did, Mom.

4: OK. That's worked out the first part of the Puzzler's puzzle.

[The Puzzler appears]

Puzzler:

Oh, so you've worked it out, have you?

OK, boys, just tell me, do!

Clyde McBride: It's simple, Mr Puzzler; The waitress and the teacher both need the right information to help them do their jobs.

Puzzler:

Correct. [groans]

Now here's challenge number 2;

How can the waitress know what to do?

[The Puzzler laughs and floats away]

Lincoln Loud: Yes, but...

[a view of a pen and a notepad in an orange bubble. The Puzzler laughs offscreen]

4: The Puzzler's bubbled her pad and pencil!

Thomas: Bust my buffers! The Puzzler's certainly not making this easy!

5: Is there any other way she can remember what food is needed?

Agent 27: I know! the teacher can use the cards for voting!

Percy: Voting?

Henry: Of course! That sounds like a very fair way to decide what the children want to do.

James: But what do the cards have to do with it?

Agent 27: The ones who want football can show a round card.

5: Putting it on screen. [puts a picture of a round card on the screen] A round card means you want football.

Edward: And those who want to watch the television can show a rectangular card! [an image of a rectangular card is put on the screen]

6: A rectangular card means you want television.

Lynn Loud: Alright! 3, send the message loud and clear.

3: OK, Lynn! [jumps around in the Brain Gain Machine] Use cards to show what you want to do!

[the Brain Gain strikes 4, Clyde, and Lincoln]

4: Use cards to vote!

[they zap the teacher, who looks at the cards on the table. 4, Lincoln and Clyde get off]

3: She's getting things sorted.

5: She's going to get the information!

4: They're going to vote.

[One by one, the children take either a rectangular card or a circle card from the teacher's hands, and put it on the table]

4: That's 1 vote for television, and 1 vote for football.

[Soon, all the cards are gone]

3: Who's going to win?

Clyde McBride: So now, we've got a record of what EVERYONE wants.

[4, Lincoln and Clyde hop onto the table with all the cards on it. There are more circle cards than rectangle cards.]

Lincoln Loud: And, as you can all see, there are more votes for football.

[The teacher points at the children who want to play football, and they cheer excitedly.]

4: Yes, Lincoln. The teacher has the information she needs.

[The children who wanted television shake hands with the children who wanted football]

Thomas: And the ones who wanted television don't mind, because they can see for themselves that there's more votes for football. Voting is ALWAYS the fairest thing to do.

3: We've beaten the Puzzler's challenge!

Puzzler:

Oh, once again, you're out of trouble,

So off I go, me and my bubbles!

[the Puzzler knocks his bubbles away, and floats off, laughing]

Gordon: Good riddance!

6: Come back now, 4, Lincoln, and Clyde.

[4 dematerializes, and Lincoln & Clyde jump through the portal. 4 flies back into the sofa]

Numberjacks & Heroes: 1, 2, 3, 4!

[4 arrives in the control room via the spring, and meets the others]

3: Well done, 4, and Lincoln and Clyde.
