- In the anime, Ash Ketchum caught a Aipom in the Battle Frontier. He used it a lot of battles until he traded it for Dawn's Buizel due to it having a huge liking to Pokemon contests when Buizel had a huge liking to Pokemon battling. Dawn had it until it evolved into a Ambipom.
- In the episode, In the Pink, Dora previously owned a male Aipom, nicknamed "Boots", after he revealed to have learned Double Hit, he later evolved into an Ambipom during a confrontation against Team Rocket in TBA.
- Diego owns a male Aipom.
- Makie Sasaki previously owned a female Aipom, when she learned Double Hit, it evolved into an Ambipom.
- In Yoshi's Adventures Series Ash caught two Aipom, so he traded his extra Aipom to Dawn for Buizel.
