Aku Aku [Mind over Mutant]

Aku Aku is an ancient spirit that lives within a mask that guides Crash, his sister Coco, and their friends as they defeat the forces of evil. He has appeared in every Crash Bandicoot game (although one of them is just a cameo). In the platformer Crash games, from the original up until Crash of the Titans, if 3 masks are found Crash becomes invincible for a limited amount of time, with Aku Aku being placed on Crash's face during this period. He is the deuteragonist of the series.

In every Crash game he appears in, he is seen to be the guardian of those who are considered to be good. In Crash Team Racing and Crash Nitro Kart, he is able to be summoned by heroic characters. When this is done, he will create a rainbow shield around the character for a limited time, and will also knock other racers away.

Trivia

• He later appears in Liam's adventures with Yo-Kai Watch where he needed help with Coco who was inspirited by a Yo-Kai.
• He is the father figure to Crash, Coco and their friends.
