Arbol, Dora's Torterra

This Torterra nicknamed Arbol is Dora's first Pokemon she owns, and is also her starter she got way when she first came to Sinnoh before coming to the Orange Islands with Liam and friends.

With Dora[]

As Turtwig[]

Arbol debuted as Turtwig in Pokeball Peril where it was sent out to locate Professor Ivy, Dora told the story how she first met Arbol as a wild Pokemon when she found him hurt by prickles and thorns. Once she nursed him to health, he joined her team. He was sent out off-screen in The Lost Lapras as he was seen as a Walking Pokemon.

He was victim to Drowzee's hypnotic controllable waves in Pikachu Re-Volts, but after Drowzee was defeated, he returned back to Dora.

In The Crystal Onix, he was sent out to assist Marill and locate the crystal Onix. He later battled Team Rocket to stall the heroes so they can escape, he began to feel exhausted from the battle with Lickitung and Victreebel, he then used Synthesis to regain energy and while doing so, he evolved into Grotle.

As Grotle[]

With his new form, he learned Seed Bomb. Eventually, he later teams up with Liam's Poliwhirl and Azusa's Hattrem, as they worked together to stop Team Rocket and even Poliwhirl used the King's Rock to evolve into Politoed, Team Rocket escaped, but Arbol counted it as a win.

In A Tent Situation, Dora sent in Arbol to stop Team Rocket, but none of Grotle's attacks were working, but when Lilo and Stitch got pulled in, Arbol used Rock Climb to pick up speed and evolved into Torterra to save them.

As Torterra[]

Arbol reveals the reason why he knows Rock Climb was because he had lost its Speed as Turtwig after evolving into Grotle and unable to dodge due to its larger size and increased weight, so it resorted to absorbing and taking hits, similar to Paul's Torterra and later Ash's Grotle.

In The Grass Route!, he was used against Liam's Skiploom, despite putting up a good fight, he was eventually defeated when Skiploom evolved into Jumpluff.

In PJ102, Arbol was sent out for the Raid Battle against Articuno, but only for him to be quickly defeated by its Sheer Cold as soon as it came out.
