[It is pre-dawn. Giraffes graze peacefully.]

Chorus: Ingonyama nengw' enamabala.

[A breeze carrying milkweed floss blows by. One giraffe looks up and begins to walk away.]

Ingonyama nengw' enamabala.

[The breeze continues to blow. Elephants trumpet and begin to walk away.]

Ingonyama nengw' enamabala.

[Monkeys chatter and swing through the trees.]

Ingonyama nengw' enamabala.

[The silhouettes of birds fly past the moon.]

Lebo M: Night

[Below the birds, several animals march in a straight line.]

and the spirit of life,

[A baby okapi bounds after its mother.]

calling...

[The Pride Landers march in a line across the savanna.]

Pride Landers: Oh, oh, iyo!

Lebo M: Mamela.

Pride Landers: Oh, oh, iyo!

[Rafiki stands on the promontory of Pride Rock, gesturing to the crowd below.]

Rafiki: Ubukhosi bo khokho. We ndodana ye sizwe sonke.

[The sun rises, silhouetting the marching Pride Landers.]

Lebo M: Wait!

[Flamingos fly past Mount Kilimanjaro.]

There's no mountain too great.

[Several topi join a line of marching Pride Landers followed by Ash and his friends.]

Hear the words and have faith.

Chorus: Oh, oh, iyo!

Lebo M: Oh!

Chorus: Oh, oh, iyo!

Lebo M: Have faith!

[Several lines of Pride Landers march toward Pride Rock.]

Chorus: Hela, hey mamela. Hela, hey mamela. Hela, hey mamela. Hela, hey mamela.

Lebo M: He lives in you.

[Rafiki lifts his arms to the sky, where Mufasa's spirit watches, smiling.]

Chorus: Hela, hey mamela. Hela.

Lebo M: He lives in me.

[The breeze stirs Rafiki's mane. He smiles, his eyes closed.]

Chorus: Hela, hey mamela. Hela.

[Rafiki gestures to the Pride Landers, who are gathered below Pride Rock.]

Lebo M: He watches over...

Chorus: Hela, hey mamela. Hela.

Lebo M: Everything we see.

Chorus: Hela, hey mamela. Hela.

[The breeze carries across a stream.]

Lebo M: Into the water...

Chorus: Hela, hey mamela. Hela.

[The Pride Landers including two giraffes, two okapis and two zebras bow.]

Lebo M: Into the truth...

Chorus: Hela, hey mamela. Hela.

[A giraffe lifts its head. Zazu flies up to the promontory of Pride Rock.]

Lebo M: In your reflection...

Chorus: Hela, hey mamela

[Simba and Nala approach Rafiki. Nala holds an infant Kiara by her scruff.]

Lebo M: He lives in you.

[Rafiki embraces Simba and Nala.]

Chorus: Ingonyama nengw' enamabala.

[Rafiki gently takes Kiara into his arms.]

Ingonyama nengw' enamabala

[Zazu bows. Rafiki holds Kiara up in the air. Below, Ash his friends and the Pride Landers erupt into cheers. The elephants trumpeted, the monkeys chattered, the zebras stamped their hooves, the cheetahs growled and the birds all tweeted with joy. Mufasa smiles down on the ceremony. Kiara grins playfully. The breeze stirs Simba's mane. He closes his eyes and smiles.]

Lebo M: He lives in you.

[Nala smiles.]

Backgrounder singer: Oh, yeah!

Lebo M: He lives in you!

[Kiara swats at the milkweed floss that is being carried on the breeze.]

Chorus: Hela, hey mamela. Hela.

Lebo M: Woo!

[The breeze stirs Rafiki's mane. He smiles and closes his eyes.]

He lives in me.

Chorus: Hela, hey mamela. Hela.

[The Pride Landers continue to cheer down below. The giraffes and zebras brayed, the cheetahs growled and the elephants trumpeted.]

Lebo M: He watches over...

Chorus: Hela, hey mamela. Hela.

[The Pride Landers continued with their cheering as a group of antelopes bow.]

Lebo M: Everything we see.

Chorus: Hela, hey mamela. Hela.

[A topi and an okapi bound into a nearby stream.]

Lebo M: Into the water...

[Two elephants rear onto their hind legs.]

Elephants: (Trumpeting)

Chorus: Hela, hey mamela. Hela.

Lebo M: Into the truth...

[The elephants slam back down to the ground, startling a flock of birds out of a tree.]

Birds: (Tweeting)

Chorus: Hela, hey mamela. Hela.

[The birds fly past Pride Rock.]

Lebo M: In your reflection...

Chorus: Hela, hey mamela. Hela.

[Rafiki lowers Kiara and marks her forehead with red paint.]

Lebo M: He lives in you.

Chorus: Ingonyama nengw' enamabala.

[Nala nuzzles Kiara.]

Ingonyama nengw' enamabala.

[Simba nuzzles Kiara.]

Lebo M: He lives in you.

Chorus: Ingonyama nengw' enamabala.

Ingonyama nengw' enamabala.

Timon: (sighs) Pumbaa, look at the little guy. A chip off the old block and you gotta know who's gonna raise him.

Pumbaa: His parents?

Timon: Okay, sure, get technical. But who's gonna teach him the really important stuff? Like how to belch? (belches) Dig for grubs? (jumps off Pumbaa) I'm telling you, buddy. It's gonna be like old times. You, me and the little guy.

Rafiki: (chuckles) It is a girl.

Timon: Girl.

Pumbaa and Timon: (suddenly become shocked) Girl?! Oy!

(Timon and Pumbaa faint.)

Meeting Kovu/Zira's introduction

Pumbaa: Ooh, don't worry, Kiara! Uncle Pumbaa's coming! (jumps into the water)

Timon: Oh, no! (nervously) Let's see, uh. Gee, Simba, the good news is we found your daughter. The bad news is we dropped a warthog on her. Is there a problem with that?

Pumbaa: Kiara? Kiara?

Timon: Pumbaa! Let me define babysitting!

(Pumbaa instantly stands up and Kiara coughs and sputters then she looks at him.)

Pumbaa: (sheepishly) Sorry. (firmly) Now, Princess Kiara, as Simba's daughter you know better than to go off all alone. You could've been hurt.

Kiara: But, but.

Timon: Hurt? Oh, Simba would kill us. You didn't slip a disc, did you?

Kiara: But, but.

Timon: Catch a fever? Get a hangnail?

Kiara: (annoyed) Timon!

Timon: I had one once.

Pumbaa: Very painful.

Timon: (disgusted) Oh! You always do that! You take a bite out of every one and then put it back! It drives me crazy!

Pumbaa: But you can't tell from the outside which are real slimy ones.

Timon: Slimy? Pumbaa, my corpulent compadre, it's the crunchy ones that make the meal.

Pumbaa: Slimy!

Timon: Crunchy!

Pumbaa: Slimy!

Kovu: What are you guys doing?

Ash Ketchum: What does it look like we're doing?! We're defending ourselves!

Pikachu: Pika!

Kiara: My father says to never turn your back on an outsider.

Kovu: You always do what Daddy says?

Kiara: No!

Kovu: Bet you do. That you're Daddy's little girl! (laughs) An outsider doesn't need anybody I can take care of myself.

Kiara: Hello? You run. I tag. Get it? What's the matter? Don't you know how to play?

Ash Ketchum: Yeah, it's fun! If I was it, I'd be like, "Look out! I'm gonna catch you!". And you chase her. It's very simple. (Kovu still doesn't understand) Or better yet. (growls like a lion; laughs)

(Kiara giggles; gets down, growls, and playfully bounces around while laughing. Kovu was able to recognize this new game and crouched down to do the same. But all of a sudden, out of nowhere, Simba appeared, towering over Kovu and roaring loudly.)

Ash Ketchum: (screams in fright and falls backwards) Simba, what are you do-?

(Suddenly, the lioness lurking in the grass leaped out of and roared at Simba in defense of her son, scaring Ash in the process. Simba appears to have recognized the lioness and glares angrily at her.)

Simba: (menacingly) Zira...

Zira: Simba?

Ash Ketchum: (confused) What the?! Simba, you know her?!

(But before Zira could fight, she found herself surrounded by the rest of Simba's pride. Nala, Timon, Pumbaa, and most of Ash's team were also there. But Nala, Timon, and Pumbaa just stood there and glared at Zira. Ash's team also arrive at the scene, but they stood there looking puzzled, wondering what all the resentment is about while also feeling worried about their leader's safety.)

Zira: Nala.

Nala: (menacingly) Zira.

Timon: Timon. Pumbaa. Great. Now that we all know each other. GET OUT OF OUR PRIDE LANDS!

Zira: Your Pride Lands?

(Zira roars viciously at Timon and Pumbaa, making them back away in fear.)

Ash Ketchum: (becomes incredibly confused) Would someone please explain to me what exactly is going on here?!

(Zira growls angrily at Ash, scaring him to the bone. Pikachu comes to his defense, sparking its electricity.)

Zira: (growls viciously) Huh! You're pretty anxious. Aren't you, puny human? Well then, since you're dying to know, we'd be glad to tell you what this is about. I used to live in Pride Rock along with the rest of my pride where we once lived under Mufasa's rule. But after Scar took it over, we pledged our allegiance to him. That is until he was killed by Simba and took what was rightfully ours.

Ash Ketchum: Rightfully yours? But Simba didn't steal anything from you. And he had nothing to do with Scar's death. From what we've heard from him, he just simply threw him off the cliff on top of Pride Rock during his great battle against him. And then the hyenas surrounded him and ate him up while the fire engulfed the desolated Pride Lands.

Zira: (pins Ash on the ground and growls angrily at him, making him scared and his team frightened) That's not what I've been told, you two-legged pipsqueak! (snarls for a bit before releasing him and continues telling her story but in a calm tone) The prophecy said that Scar was the rightful heir to Pride Rock after Mufasa died in an accident from a wildebeest stampede.

Brock: (steps up) No, Zira, you've got it all wrong. Scar staged the stampede to make it look like an accident and then he murdered Mufasa by pushing him off the cliffside after he saved Simba.

Misty: (steps up) And the prophecy actually said that it was Simba who was destined to be the next heir of the throne of Pride Rock, not Scar. And he fulfilled it just as his father wanted him to.

Zira: (growls viciously) Ha! Well, he did get that! But it wasn't how Scar wanted it to be. Go ahead. Deny me all you want. None of that is going to change after what Simba has done to me. Because, right now, I've got a score to settle with him.

Serena: (helps Ash up) Well, whatever it is you want to settle with Simba, I'd suggest that you'd better do it somewhere outside the Pride Lands without hurting anybody else. None of us here are interested in starting a fight. Not even your own cubs.

Ash's team: (agreeing with Serena)

Ash Ketchum: And, for one, I suggest that we all stop fighting, go back to Pride Rock, and continue the Circle of Life peacefully.

Ash's team: (agreeing with Ash)

Zira: Foolish humans! Running away from a fight is the worst mistake you'll ever make! For these lands belong to Scar!

Iris: Scar, Schmar! He was never the rightful ruler of Pride Rock to begin with! Even if you are one of his most loyal followers, what makes you think he's so great after all the terrible things he's done during his life?!

Ash and his Adventure Team: Yeah!

Cilan: All he's ever done while being king was turn the entire Pride Lands into a desolate wasteland and made the hyenas overhunt until there was nothing left for the pride to eat.

Clemont: That's right! Simba's the real rightful king and anybody who says he isn't otherwise would answer to him!

Dawn: And we're not running away from a fight, Zira. We're not cowards and we're not here to pick a fight. We're just simply trying to settle things here without any violence.

Simba: I banished you from the Pride Lands! Now you and your young cub GET OUT!

(Kovu and Kiara hid underneath their parents in fright, but also shock. They could not believe their parents were sworn enemies of each other.)

Zira: Oh, haven't you met my son, Kovu? He was hand chosen by Scar to follow in his pawprints and become king.

Ash Ketchum: (shocked; quietly) What?!

(Simba angrily growls at the terrified Kovu.)

Misty: (tries to calm the angry lion king down) Easy, Simba. He may have been hand chosen by your evil uncle. But that doesn't mean he poses a threat right now. Besides, he is only a cub.

May: And for a cub, he sure doesn't look like a king to me.

Max: Yeah, May. He sort of looks more like a petrified, but fuzzy maraca. Or something. I don't know.

Zira: Kovu was the last born before you exiled us to the Outlands, where we have little food, less water.

Simba: (furiously) You know the penalty for returning to the Pride Lands.

Zira: But the child does not! However, if you need your pound of flesh, here.

(Zira pushed Kovu ahead, letting Simba decide whether he should kill Kovu or not. Simba looked at the frightened cub and then Zira. This heinous action angered Ash and his adventure team.)

Brock: That was a pretty sick move for a crazy lioness like you, Zira.

Misty: How dare you put your own son in danger like this?! This is not how parenting works, Zira!

May: A real mother would defend and protect their children, not the other way around!

Ash Ketchum: You really make yourself a very bad mother, Zira.

Zira: (giggles wickedly) You foolish humans can't do anything about it though. After all, none of you are from the Pride Lands nor from the Outlands. So, you don't get to make this sort of decision except for me.

(Ash goes to fight Zira but is halted by Brock and Misty. Zira giggles for a bit, ignores them and turns her attention back to Simba.)

Simba: Take him and get out. We're finished here. (goes over to his daughter and picks her up by the scruff)

Zira: Oh, no, Simba. We have barely begun. (giggles wickedly)

(Zira looked down upon Kiara with an evil look. This lioness intimidated Kiara, but Ash stepped in front of Simba, defending her.)

Ash Ketchum: (draws his sword and points it directly at Zira) Lay one single claw mark on the rightful king and his daughter or there will be severe consequences for you, Zira. Because if you're messing with Simba, then you're messing with me and my friends.

Pikachu: (sparks electricity) Pikachu!

Zira: Hmm... (smirks wickedly and pushes his sword aside) Very well, young human. If you want a fight, then we'll give you a fight. But I'm pretty sure that it will soon very much be your last.

Ash Ketchum: We shall see, Zira.

(Ash glared at Zira as the evil lioness turned to Kovu and picked him up by the scruff. As Zira started walking away, Ash puts his sword away and turned to Simba. But Simba gave him a disappointed look before walking back to Pride Rock with Nala. This made Ash sigh sadly because he didn't want Zira to hurt Kiara nor Simba. He is then joined by the rest of his team whereas Serena comforts him and smiles warmly at him. Pikachu runs up on Ash's shoulder and cheers his trainer up with a smile. Kiara and Kovu looked at each other as their respective parents were taking them away.)

Kiara: (quietly whispered) Bye...

Kovu: (quietly whispered) Bye...

(As everyone heads back to Pride Rock, Ash turns his head to Kovu with a sad and worried look, wondering if what Zira said is true or not. Is he really gonna destroy everything Simba worked so hard to accomplish since he defeated Scar and ascended the throne of Pride Rock? That's when we'll soon find out.)

We Are One

Simba: Kiara, what did you think you were doing? You could've been killed today.

Kiara: But, Daddy, I-I didn't mean to diso-

Simba: I'm telling this is because I love you. I don't want to lose you.

Kiara: I know.

Simba: If something happened to you I don't know what I'd do. One day I won't be here and I need you to carry on in my place. You are part of the great circle-

Kiara: Circle of life. I know.

Simba: Exactly and you need to be careful. As future queen-

Kiara: What if I don't want to be queen? It's no fun.

Simba: That's like saying you don't want to be a lion. It's in your blood as I am. We are part of each other.

Kiara: Hmph.

Simba: Ash, though I appreciate you standing up for me and my daughter, this isn't your fight.

Ash Ketchum: But Simba-

Simba: Ash please, I need to deal with this fight on my terms. (Leaves)

Ash Ketchum: But I just wanted to ask you, if the Outsiders were part of your pride.

The Outlands/My Lullaby

[Meanwhile in the Outlands, amongst the termite mounds Zira's pride were everywhere, trying to find whatever scraps of food they could find and even fighting each other for it.]

Mufasa's plan/Kovu's mission

(At Rafiki's tree we find him painting Kiara's picture while speaking to Mufasa (in spirit))

Rafiki: Oh, Mufasa, every day Kiara grows more beautiful, into a queen that will someday make us all very proud. (paints Kovu's picture) But this cub Kovu grows stronger, and Zira fills his heart with hate. I'm very worried Mufasa. Things are not going well, no.

(Then Mufasa began having his wind whistle to Rafiki)

Rafiki: Mmm? You have a plan?

(Mufasa's wind caused one of his fruits to fall down and crack in two halves)

Rafiki: What? (picks up the two halves and arranged them to where the paintings of Kiara and Kovu are upon realizing what Mufasa's saying) Kiara? Kovu? Together? (puts the two halves together) This is the plan? (shouts) ARE YOU CRAZY?! This will never work! Oh, Mufasa, you been up there too long! Your head is in the clouds!

(Mufasa has his wind blows hard at Rafiki till he submitted)

Rafiki: Okay, okay, okay. Okay, alright, okay! (the wind stops) I don't think this is going to work, but I trust you. I just hop you know what you are doing.

(Mufasa's wind blows upwards to the night sky. The scene transitions to the termite mounds. Zira grins deviously.)

Zira: You are ready! (chuckles) (She circles a full-grown Kovu, who is sitting atop a rock.) Nice. Very nice. (chuckles) You have the same blackness in your soul that Scar had. What is your destiny?

Kovu: I will avenge Scar. Take his place in the Pride Lands.

Zira: Yes! What have I taught you?

Kovu: Simba is the enemy.

Zira: (emphatically) And what must you do? (She juts her head at Kovu.)

Kovu: I must kill him!

(The Outsiders gather around Kovu and roared.)

Kiara's First Hunt/Kovu Saves Ash and Kiara

(The next morning at Pride Rock everyone is getting ready to cheer Kiara for her first hunting. Nala walk up to Simba has sigh with worried)

Ash Ketchum: Don't worry Simba, She'll do great.

Lion#1: This is Kiara's first!

Lion#2: There she is!

(Kiara emerges at the top of the trail. Rafiki stands on a nearby rock.)

Rafiki: Kiara.

(Zazu alights on a branch and smiles.)

Timon: Aha! (Hugs Pumbaa)

(Rafiki gestures to the trail. Kiara strides in-between the rows of lionesses.)

Lion#1: You can do it.

Lion#2: It's your day.

Lion#3: Good luck, Kiara!

Lion#4: It's your time.

Lion#5: My, how you've grown!

(Kiara walks up to Ash and his friends as they all gave her reassuring smiles)

Tracey: You can do this Kiara!

Iris: We all believe in you!

Kiara: Thanks, guys.

Nala: [Nuzzles Kiara] You'll do just fine.

(Simba looks down in concern.)

Kiara: Daddy? [Simba looks up.] You have to promise to let me do this on my own. Promise?

(Nala, Ash and his friends stare at Simba.)

Simba: All right. I promise.

(Kiara nuzzles her father)

Timon and Pumbaa: (Crying)

(Kiara breaks her embrace with Simba, and they exchange one final look. She bounds to the edge of the trail and overlooks the Pride Lands, where a herd of topi grazes peacefully. She squints excitedly at the herd, then looks over her shoulder at Simba. He nods, and she bounds away. He strides to the edge of the trail and watches her go, clearly worried. Timon and Pumbaa approach.)

Simba: (whispering) Make sure she doesn't get hurt.

Timon: Ah!

(Timon and Pumbaa looked each other started to sneak at Kiara again humming.)

Ash Ketchum: Where are those two going? (Then realises something's up) Oh for crying out loud Simba, you can't trust your own daughter for a single hunt! I'd better go and follow them. (Sneaks off without his friends noticing)

(The scene transitions to the open savanna. Kiara stalks a herd of grazing topi, but steps on a twig and gasps. The topi look up at the noise and start to run away. Kiara chases them in desperation. The scene transitions to the Elephant Graveyard. Several geysers steam. A full-grown Nuka and Vitani walk to the edge of an overhang and overlook the Elephant Graveyard. Vitani is carrying shoots in her mouth. Nuka winces.)

Nuka: Eurgh. (Nuka scratches his arm.) This place is even creepier since the hyenas ran off.

Vitani: Oh, sheesh.

(She rolls her eyes and hops over the ledge)

Nuka: (scoffs) I'm not scared, okay? (From offscreen, a geyser steams. Nuka leaps after Vitani in fear.) (whimpers) (Vitani deposits the shoots on a geyser. Nuka walks toward Vitani, then pauses in front of a geyser.) I just don't know why we have to be here, that's all. If Kovu is so (Nuka arches his back downward.) special, why does he need us? (Nuka starts to walk off, but flips around when a geyser steams.) I never even had a chance! (Behind Nuka, the geyser explodes. He leaps into the air.) (yelps) (Nuka races away and cowers next to Vitani.) (whimpers)

(Vitani rolls her eyes. The geyser next to her explodes, igniting the tips of the shoots.)

Vitani: That's it! (Vitani picks up a fiery shoot in her jaws.) Now, come on. Kiara has started her hunt. We have to move quickly.

(Vitani strides past Nuka. He holds a shoot close to the geyser. It explodes in his face.)

Nuka: Ooh! Fire! (Nuka and Vitani bound away as he cackling)

(Meanwhile out on the savannah Timon and Pumbaa were looking for Kiara.)

Kiara: (sternly) Timon, what are you doing here?

Timon: Uh, shopping. We bought a nice pelt for the pen some throw pillows a little potpourri.

Kiara: My father sent you! I thought he promised to let me do this on my own! He lied!

Timon: (clasps his hands) No... He just doesn't want you to get hurt.

Kiara: I should've known he'd never give me a real chance. (Kiara leaps over Timon and Pumbaa, who watch her go.) (sighs and charges off into the savannna) I'll do this on my own, away from the Pride Lands!

Timon: Hey! Wait! (Timon jumps onto Pumbaa's head.) Come back! (Timon and Pumbaa run into the grass.) Oh, who can keep track of her?

Pumbaa: Come on, Kiara! Kiara!

Timon: Kiara, come back! Oh... (Timon and Pumbaa pause in the grass) She's gone again! (Timon spreads his arms in exasperation.) Somebody's gotta get a beeper for this kid!

(As Timon and Pumbaa run on, Kiara races across the savanna with her expression stormy.)

Kiara: (pants)

(Kiara pauses and looks wistfully over her shoulder before moving on. On a nearby ridge, Nuka and Vitani survey her progress with the fiery shoots still in their mouths. They bound off the ridge toward the open savanna.)

Nuka: Let's light fires!

(Vitani cackles as uses her shoot to set fire to the grass while Nuka uses his shoot to set fire to the grass.)

Nuka: (laughs maniacally while setting the Pride Lands ablaze) Roasty toasty princess! Roasty toasty princess! (Nuka pauses.) Hey, is it hot in here, or is that just me? (Nuka looks around in concern and sees he's surrounded himself in a fire circle. He shoots into the air and screams.) Fire! (Nuka lands outside the circle of fire. He turns back and crouches low to the ground and laughs.)

Vitani: (growls and grabs Nuka and pulls him offscreen.) Come on!

(The scene transitions to the open savanna, where Kiara is stalking a herd of topi. Suddenly, the topi lift their heads, look around, and run away. Kiara races after the herd. Kiara grunts and pauses, her nostrils flaring. On the ridge ahead of her, the herd doubles back and starts running toward her, pursued by flames. Kiara's expression turns to horror and gasps. Then turns around and runs away from the flames with the topis and birds following her as the flames start to catch up to them. Not too far away from them, Ash was still looking for Timon and Pumbaa, but had lost track of them.)

Ash Ketchum: Where'd Timon and Pumbaa go? They have to be around here somewhere. (Sniffs the air) Wait I know that smell. (Looks up at the ridge ahead and sees all the animals running and flying away in fear, then he sees black smoke and flames behind them and gasps) Fire! This is bad! I've gotta find Kiara and fast! (Turns around and runs) KIARA! KIARA! Where are you!

(Zira and Kovu survey the fire from a nearby ridge.)

Zira: The plan is in motion. Go!

(Kovu runs off. Meanwhile back at Pride Rock Ash's Friends were wondering how Kiara's doing on her first hunt and when Ash was gonna come back, while Simba was pacing restlessly as he was concerned for his daughter.)

Zazu: Don't worry, Simba. She'll be fine.

Brock: Yeah, what could happen?

Simba: (suddenly Simba pauses abruptly in his pacing and stares at a distant column of smoke and becomes horrified) No! No! Kiara! Ash!

Tracey: Oh no! There's a fire near the border of the Pride Lands!

Misty: A fire! Oh no, there's lots of animals living there!

Bonnie: We've gotta do something to help them!

Iris: What's the plan Serena? (Notices Serena missing) Serena?

Serena: (Running) Ash is out there! I've gotta find him!

Pkachu: Pika Pi!

Clement: Wait for us Serena!

(Simba runs off. Zazu flies into the air and stares in consternation at the smoke.)

Zazu: (Gasps) Oh!

[Simba bounds down Pride Rock.]

Simba: Zazu! Fly ahead! Find them!

Dawn: We're coming Ash and Kiara! Hang on!

Brock: Lionesses! Spread out into teams! We'll find them faster!

[Simba and Ash's friends races past the lionesses, who move to follow them.]

Lionesses: (Snarling)

[The scene transitions to the middle of the fire. Zebras bray and flee the inferno. Kiara runs after them, her face full of terror. Ash was looking for higher ground and looking for Kiara.]

Ash Ketchum: (Shouts) KIARA! KIARA! (Coughs) Where are you?! (Looks around but only sees flames and smoke) I've gotta find her fast, (Coughs) before it's too late!

(Kiara pants then whimpers. She pauses, her path blocked by flame. Kiara pants and looks over one shoulder at the fire behind her. She screams) and runs into an area of thick smoke as she coughs. Kiara notices Ash up ahead.)

Kiara: Is that Ash?

Ash Ketchum: (Looks behind him) KIARA! (Races towards her)

[Kiara and Ash meet and Ash hugs her.]

Ash Ketchum: Kiara! I was so worried I couldn't find you!

Kiara: Ash, what are you doing out here!?

[The flames from the fire get bigger.]

Ash Ketchum: We can talk about it later! Right now we need to find higher ground!

Kiara: [Kiara notices a ridge that is high above the flames.] Huh? Ash! There's a ridge over there!

Ash Ketchum: (Sees the ridge) I see it! Come on!

[Ash and Kiara race towards the ridge dodging several flames.]

Ash: We've gotta have to jump for it!

[Ash and Kiara leap for the ridge and grab onto it with their hands/front paws, they struggled to pull themselves up, they nearly fell into the flames.]

Ash Ketchum: Come on! (Grunts) We can do this!

(With one final effort, Ash and Kiara manage to pull themselves up onto the ledge and away from the fire. But they had inhaled too much smoke and they collapsed on the ground. Behind Kiara and Ash, a dark shape with glowing eyes approaches through the smoke. Kiara looks up at the stranger weakly. He bares his teeth. Ash and Kiara fall unconscious again. Kovu circles around to Ash and Kiara's heads and lifts their chins with one paw. They are unresponsive. He looks both ways before seizing them by the scruff. Then Kovu lifts Kiara and Ash onto his back as he snarls. Kovu adjusts Ash and Kiara so they are riding him full-body. Kovu climbs down the ridge, the fire blazing behind him. Kovu races through a burning forest. A tree falls and blocks his path. Kovu leaps over the tree and heaves himself over a ridge. Kovu, Kiara and Ash fall down a steep cliff into a lake below. Kovu emerges above the water. He notices Kiara and Ash sinking underwater and plunges after them. Kovu emerges above the water, gripping Kiara and Ash by their scruffs. Kovu swims toward shore, towing Kiara and Ash.)

(Zazu flies overhead. He notices Kovu, Kiara and Ash in the river heading to shore.)

Zazu: (gasps) I must tell Simba! (Flies off)

(Kovu drags Kiara and Ash onto dry land and lets go of their scruffs. Now out of the smoke, Ash and Kiara regained conscious.)

Ash Ketchum: Hey, what happened?

Kiara: Where are we?

Kovu: You guys are safe in the Pride Lands.

Kiara: The Pride Lands?

Ash Ketchum: What?!

Kiara: (suddenly becomes angry) No! Why did you bring us here?! Who do you think you are?!

Ash Ketchum: Yeah, we demand an explanation from you!

Kovu: (scoffs) I think I'm the one who saved your lives, kid.

Ash Ketchum: (sarcastically) Oh, really?

Kiara: Look, I had everything under control.

Kovu: Not from where I'm standing.

Kiara: Then move downwind! Come on, Ash, we're leaving!

Ash Ketchum: Right behind you!

(Kiara and Ash attempt to leave but Kovu blocks their way. They try again but Kovu blocks them again, they try for a third time, but still Kovu blocks them, as Kiara prepares to pounce him)

Kovu: (confused) What are you doing?

Ash Ketchum: Hey, wait a minute. I feel like we've done this before!

(Ash and Kiara look closely at Kovu before they recognise him)

Kiara: (surprised) Kovu?

Ash Ketchum: (surprised) Is that really you?

(Kovu smirks and Ash and Kiara knew the same smirk from the cub they met all those years ago.)

Simba: Kiara! Ash!

(Ash and Kiara looked and saw Simba approaching them, he growled and snarled at Kovu. Ash's friends quickly arrived and Serena was the first to check on Ash.)

Serena: Ash! You're okay! (Hugs him) Are you alright?

Ash Ketchum: Yeah, I'm okay babe.

Pikachu: Pika, Pi! (Jumps onto Ash's shoulder and nuzzles his cheek)

Ash Ketchum: Pikachu!

Misty: Where were you?

May: You had us worried sick!

Ash Ketchum: Sorry I worried you guys.

Nala: (arriving) Kiara! You're alright! (nuzzles Kiara)

Brock: She's just fine Nala, just a few scratches nothing too serious.

Kiara: (angry) Father! How could you break your promise?

Ash Ketchum: Yeah, Simba why did you send Timon and Pumbaa to keep an eye on Kiara when you promised to let her do this on her own?

Simba: (Sternly) It's a good thing I did, I almost lost you! No more hunts for you! Not ever!

Dawn: What?! Simba you can't do that!

Iris: Stop treating Kiara like she's still a cub! She's a teenager now!

Tracey: Yeah and you breaking your promise to your own daughter was the wrong thing to do!

Max: If you hadn't sent Timon and Pumbaa to keep an eye on Kiara then she never would've been in danger in the first place!

Kiara: And I was doing just fine, even before Kovu-

Simba: (Surprised) Kovu?!

[Everyone gasped, as Simba roared at Kovu, and Kovu responded by roaring right back.]

Nala: (Shocked) Simba!

Iris: (Angry) Stop acting like a little kid Simba! You're a grown up so act your age!

Nala: What did you say, Iris?!

Iris: Nothing.

Nala: All right. Never ever call anybody a kid in my presence!

[Simba glances quickly at Nala and glared at Iris, then continues glaring at Kovu.]

Rafiki: [from offscreen] Hey! You! [Rafiki appears on a nearby ridge. Kovu and Simba look at him questioningly.] How dare you save the king's daughter and his best friend?

Max: Did he say save them?

Ash Ketchum: Yeah, after we pulled ourselves up that ridge, we fell unconscious 'cause we breathed in too much smoke. If Kovu hadn't found us then we would've been done for.

Simba: (to Kovu) You saved her? Why?

Kovu: I humbly asked to join your pride.

Simba: No! You were banished with the other outsiders.

Kovu: I have left the outsiders. I'm a rogue. Judge me now, for who I am. Or am I to be blamed for a crime I didn't commit.

[Simba begins to snarl as he paced back and forth.]

Nala: Simba you owe him your daughter's life.

Serena: And we owe him Ash's life Simba! If Kovu didn't save Ash and Kiara when he did, then they probably never would've made it out!

[Zazu lands in front of Simba.]

Zazu: Hmm, yes, sire. Clearly, we are in his debt. And royal protocol demands that all debts be paid. [Zazu puts his wings on his hips.] Though, in this case, you might want to make an exception.

(Simba turns back at Kovu who postures himself straight. With nothing else he could think of, he decided to do the only thing he knew he could do.)

Simba: My father's law, will prevail. For now, I reserve judgement, [turns and starts walking away] we'll see who you really are.

(Kovu smirks at Kiara, Ash and their friends and Kiara, Ash and their friends grins in delight as Zazu turns his back on Kovu.)

Zazu: Hmph! Riffraff.

(Zazu flies after Simba. Kovu smiles sinisterly.)

(scene changes to Pride Rock, where the pride is heading to the cave to sleep for the night.)

Simba's Nightmare

(Simba grunts and moans in his sleep and is having a nightmare about his father, the stampede, and Scar)

Mufasa: (clinging on the cliff above the stampede) Simba! Simba, help me!

Simba: Father!

(Scar is maliciously laughing at them as he walks down to them)

Simba: No! Dad! (goes to reach for his father's paw) Just a little further!

Scar: (grabs Simba's paw) Gotcha! Trust me.

Mufasa: Simba! (loses his grip and slides down the cliff before falling to his demise)

Simba: NO!!!! (turns to Scar) Scar!

(Much to his surprise, Scar's appearance changes into Kovu)

Simba: (gasps) Kovu? (gets pushed off the cliff by Kovu and meets the same fate as Mufasa) NO!!!!

(Simba gasps and wakes up from his nightmare)

Kovu Teaches Kiara/Rhino Chase

(Morning came and Simba walks out of Pride Rock and stretches himself. Then he walks off Pride Rock and stops at a lake to get a drink. Unaware Kovu is behide a rock is ready to attack Simba, utill Kiara jumped out).

Kiara: Good morning! [Kiara laughs and hops around Kovu playfully.] I'm ready for my first lesson! Surprised ya, huh?

(Kovu looks back at the watering hole to see that Simba is gone. The Heroes arrived)

Ash Ketchum: Morning, you two!

Kiara: Good morning, everyone. Come on, let's go!

Serena: Okay, we're coming.

(They follow Kiara, but Kovu looks back and growls then follows the others. Later at the savanna in the afternoon. Kovu and the Heroes lies in an open patch of dirt. Behind them, something moves through the grass, making the stalks wave).

Kiara: Ow! Ow!

Ash Ketchum: [Wispers to his friends] Can you hear her?

Brock: Yep, any second now.

Kovu: In 3, 2, 1...

Kiara: Gotta!

(She leaps over Kovu and the Heroes, then tumbles over to the ground. Kovu and the Heroes walks over to her, and looks out at her).

Kiara: You can hear me, huh?

Kovu: Only... a lot.

Misty: You're really terrible at hunting.

Kiara: I know, I get the picture. Daddy never gave me any pouncing lessons when I was growing up.

Kovu: Then allow me to be the first. You're still breathing too hard. [Kovu smiles.] Relax. [Kovu flexes his claws in the dirt.] Feel the earth under your paws, so it doesn't shift and make noise.

(Kiara does the same thing with his claws, then Kovu hears and see a float of birds flying on the top of a hill.)

Kovu: Shh. Watch the master... and learn.

Max: This will be good.

May: I can't look.

[Kovu stalks toward the hill, wiggles his haunches, and races up the hill. He leaps roars. Timon, who is eating a grub, turns around in time to see Kovu lunging at him. He spits out the grub]

Timon: (Screams) [Timon falls onto his back in-between Kovu's extended paws. He waves his arms appealingly.] Don't eat me! [Kovu stares down at Timon in confusion.] Please! I-I-I never really met your tyrant. I mean, uh, Scar. Scar. Oh, heck of a guy. [Timon scoots away from Kovu.] A little moody, but–

Kiara: Timon? What are you doing here?

Timon: Kiara, thank goodness.

Dawn: Did Simba send you two keep your eyes on Kiara again?

Timon: Hey for once, we ain't following Kiara this time.

Iris: Then what are you up to?

Timon: This This just happens to be the best smorgasbord in the Pride Lands! [Kovu, Kiara and the others survey a grassy area, where birds are pulling worms out of the ground.] Bugs everywhere!

Misty: Bugs?! [jump into Tracey's arms].

Tracey Sketchit: Relax, Misty, they won't bite you!

Serena: Yeah, the birds are eating some of the bugs.

Timon: Yep. But you don't call a reservation and yeesh! (angrily, marching towards the birds) Get out of here, ya scavengers! Go on, shoo, shoo! (the bird glares angrily at him and pecks his nose) Oww! (holds his nose and it turns red) Oh! (Kiara, Kovu the others laugh 😆 at it) What’re you laughing 😂 at?

(Pumbaa attempts to scare off the birds by charging towards them but to no avail. Kiara laughs upon seeing this.)

Pumbaa: Oh, Timon. (with the birds on his back) I'm getting tired I gotta lose some pounds.

Timon: (scaring off the birds) Shoo! Come on! Shoo, shoo!

Pumbaa: Hey, maybe he can help. Do you think?

Timon: (to birds) Shoo! (to Pumbaa) Oh, yeah. There's an idea. Right, let the vicious outsider- Hey, wait! I have an idea! What if he helps?

Pumbaa: What?

Timon: (to Kovu) You want a lend a voice? Huh? Grrr-grr. Roar! Work with me!

Kovu: Huh?

Kiara: Like this.

(Kiara roars loudly which scared off the birds.)

Ash Ketchum: Yeah!

Pikachu: (cheering) Pika!

Brock: All right!

Tracey: Way to go!

Misty: She did it!

Serena: Good going, Kiara!

Kiara: Thanks, guys.

Timon: Whoo-hoo! Come on! Do it again! Do it again! (Kovu roars loudly) Yee-haw! (blows raspberry)

Brock: Good roaring, Kovu!

Kovu: Thanks, I guess.

Iris: Come on guys! Let's chase these birds!

Max: I'm with you Iris!

Bonnie: Me too! Me too!

Dedenne: Dedenne!

(Kiara, Kovu, Ash and his friends run behind Pumbaa and Timon.)

Kovu: What are we doing this? What's the point of this training?

Kiara: (laughs) Training? This is just for fun.

Kovu: Fun?

Brock: Yeah, you haven't had any fun in a long time.

Misty: So let loose and have fun Kovu!

Timon: Yeah. [Timon catches onto a bird's legs and gets lifted into the air.] Kid, ya gotta get out more often. Fun! Yeehaw!

(Timon and Pumbaa run ahead of Kiara, Kovu, Ash and the others.)

Timon: Woo-hoo! [Timon falls, landing on Pumbaa's back.] Yeehaw!

Ash Ketchum: Yahoo!

Max: Yeehaw!

Dawn: Get along little birdies!

Piplup: Pip, Pip, Piplup!

Clement: Wahoo!

Tracey: Yeah!

Misty: Yippee-kai-yay!

Bonnie: (giggles) Come on Kovu! You try!

Kovu: Okay. (slowly getting the idea) Yeehaw! (brightening up) Yeehaw! (laughs) Yeehaw!

Dawn: That's it Kovu!

Iris: Now you're having fun!

May: He's getting it!

Kiara: Yahoo!

(Kovu, Kiara, Timon, Pumbaa, Ash and his friends laugh in amusement but they suddenly become scared upon seeing the rhinos glare angrily at them as they skid to a halt.)

Kiara: Uh-oh!

Ash Ketchum: Oh, boy.

Pikachu: Pika.

(The birds blew raspberries at them sticking out their tongues while the rhinos snorted angrily.)

Serena: Nice rhinos. Pretty rhinos, stay. Just stay calm.

Cilan: I think now would be a good time to, [turns and sprints away] RUN!

Max: Good idea!

May: RUN FOR IT!

Kiara, Timon and Pumbaa: Woah!

[Kiara, Kovu, Timon, Pumbaa, Ash and his friends quickly turn around and run away, with the rhinos chasing them]

Looking at the Stars/Upendi

(The scene transitions to the open Savannah at night. Kovu, Kiara, Ash and his friends lie on their backs, stargazing.)

Brock: You know, I never realised how beautiful the Pride Lands are at night.

Tracey: Yeah, this is the perfect night to do stargazing.

Max: Look those stars look just like a Ralts.

Bonnie: You're right Max. And those stars look just like a Flababe.

Kovu: Didja see that? Didja see that?

Kiara: What?

Kovu: (chuckles) Oh, wow. [Kovu points at the sky.] Look at that!

Kiara: What?

Kovu: It's really pretty.

Misty: That looks just like a Horsea. [Points at the sky.] See over there?

Dawn: You're right Misty, and hey. [points at the sky.] Those stars look just like Azelf, Mesprit and Uxie.

Kiara: Oh, yeah! (laughs) You're right. [Kiara points at the sky.] Oh, look. There's one that looks like a baby rabbit. [The stars above form the shape of a rabbit.] See the fluffy tail?

Kovu: Yeah... Hey! [Kovu points at the sky.] There's one that looks like two lions killing each other for a scrap of meat! [The stars form the shape of two lions on their hind legs.] (laughs) [Kiara flashes Kovu a concerned look. He doesn't notice.] Ah, I've never done this before.

Cilan: Really Kovu, you've never done this before?

Kovu: No.

Ash: Well stargazing's the best, you can see all kinds of things in the night sky.

Pikachu: Pika, Pika.

Kiara: Really? My father and I used to do this all the time. He says all the Great Kings of the Past are up there. Hm.

Kovu: Do you think Scar's up there?

Clement: I don't think so Kovu.

Iris: Scar was one of the worst lions, not one of the Great Kings like Mufasa.

Serena: Why'd you ask anyway?

Kovu: I don't really know. [Kiara looks pointedly at Kovu. After a moment, he stands and walks away. She sits up in concern. He sits at a distance from her, his shoulders hunched.] He wasn't my father, but he was still...part of me.

[Ash and Kiara stands and strides toward Kovu.]

Kiara: My father said there was a...a darkness in Scar that he couldn't escape.

Kovu: (becomes sad) Maybe there's a darkness in me too.

Ash Ketchum: I don't think you have darkness in you Kovu. I agree that you feel Scar's still a part of you, but it's what you choose do do with yourself, and only one can decide that in no one but yourself.

Pikachu: Pika, Pikachu.

(Kiara touches one of Kovu's forelegs, then nuzzles him, as she purrs. After a moment, Kovu nuzzles Kiara back. On a nearby hill, Simba surveys Kovu and Kiara. He looks up at the stars.)

Simba: Father, I am lost. Kovu is one of them. [Simba bows his head.] Scar's heir. [Simba looks up at the stars.] How can I accept him?

Nala: [off-screen] Simba?

[Nala comes up to Simba.]

Simba: I was seeking council from the Great Kings.

Nala: Did they help?

Simba: (sighs) Silent as stars. My father would never-

Nala: Oh my, Simba. You want so much to walk the path expected of you. Perhaps Kovu does not.

Simba: (eyes widen) What? (turns to Nala) How do you know what-

Nala: (chuckles) I can see them down there just as easily as you can. Get to know him and see. Isn't that how you and Ash became friends?

Simba: Well yes, but still.

Nala: You gave Ash and his friends a chance so you should do the same for Kovu.

[Nala turns and strides away. After a moment, Simba follows her.]

Rafiki: And where are you going?

Kovu: Uh, nowhere.

Simba accuses Kovu for Zira's ambush/Nuka's Death/Kovu gets a scar

(Scene changes to Kovu exiting Pride Rock, with a worried look on his face)

Kovu: Okay, I have to tell her today. Oh but where do I start? Kiara, Zira, had a plot, and I was part of it, but I don't wanna be anymore, it's because, it's because I love you. (Groans) She'll never believe me. [Turns around] But I gotta try. Kiara? I need to talk to you.

Ash: What's up Kovu?

Pikachu: Pika?

Kovu: Ash, there's something I need to tell you and Kiara, I-

Simba: (stern) Kiara! Ash! I don't want you two talking with him! (smiles) I want to talk with him.

Zira: Scar, watch over my poor Nuka. (turns to Kovu, furiously) You!

(Kovu looks up. Zira slashes him in the face.)

Kovu: Ah! (Kovu turns away.) (breathes heavily)

(Kovu looks back at Zira angrily, revealing a scar over his left eye. Both of them inhale and then they exhale, as they stare at each other.)

Zira: (Angry) What have you (Zira juts her head at Kovu.) done?

Kovu: (Stammers) I didn't... I-I didn't mean to. I... It wasn't my fault. I... [steeling himself] (breathes heavily) I did [Kovu juts his head at Zira.] nothing!

Zira: Exactly! [Zira paces around Kovu.] And in doing so, you betrayed your pride. Betrayed Scar!

Kovu: (Angry) I want nothing more to do with him!

Zira: You cannot escape it. [Zira strides toward Kovu, who backs away. Kovu slips on a rock and falls on his backside.] Nuka is dead because of you!

Kovu: (Softly) No.

[Zira and Vitani glower at Kovu.]

Zira: (Furious) You've killed your own brother!

Kovu: (Shouts) No! (Gets to his feet and runs off past the Outsiders and villains)

[Kovu runs away from the villains and heads off in the direction of Pride Rock.]

Outsiders: (Roaring)

[Zira holds up a paw to halt Vitani.]

Zira: Let him go. [Zira climbs a pillar of rock and stands overlooking the Outsiders and villains.] Simba has hurt me for the last time. [The Outsiders and villains gather below Zira, grinning.] Now, he has corrupted Kovu! Listen to me. Simba is injured and weak. [Zira lifts a paw.] Now is the time to [Zira slams her paw into the ground.] attack! We will take his entire kingdom...by force!

(The Outsiders rear onto their hind legs and roar as Zira cackles triumphantly)

Not One Of Us/Ash and Kiara's argument with Simba

(The scene transitions to Pride Rock at sunset. Kiara and Nala tend to Simba, who is lying on Pride Rock.)

Kiara: Daddy it can't be true. (All the animals turn around to see Kovu)

Animal #1: It's Kovu.

Giraffe #1: It's Kovu. (Everyone look at him while he's walking)

Ash Ketchum: Hey, Kiara, it's Kovu!

Misty: Oh, thank goodness he's alright.

Clemont: I wondered what happened to him.

Kiara: Kovu! (Kiara run to see him, but Simba stops her) (All the animals continuing talking to see Kovu while he is walking)

Timon: (Gasp) Why I yoda! Lemme at him, Lemme at him! (He grab his tail) He hold me back.

Pumbaa: (Grabs Timon's tail) Okay.

Timon: Lemme at him, Lemme at him!

Pumbaa: Okay (He lets go of him)

Timon: I think your missing the basic point here.

Pumbaa: Oh. (The animals continuing talking to see him as he made it to the Simba who is on top of pride rock)

Simba: Why have you come back?!

Kovu: Simba I have nothing to do with...

Simba: You don't belong here!

Kovu: Please I ask your forgiveness.

Kiara: Daddy please, listen to him.

Ash Ketchum: Your daughter's right Simba. At least give him a chance to explain. He couldn’t have been responsible for the… Circle of Life takeover?

Simba: (He turn his head to his Daughter and Ash) Exactly! (Simba's response shocks Ash as he turns to Kovu) When you first came here you asked for judgment. And I pass it now! (Everyone is shocked to hear this while the animals begin to arguing at him)

Brock: Simba, you can't.

Cilan: Don't do this, Simba.

Simba: EXILE!

Kiara: NO!

Ash Ketchum: SIMBA!! (The Animals begin to make music and their sounds)

Kiara: No! (Two Lionesses Block her) Kovu!

Serena: Simba, stop this!

Bonnie: This isn't right, Simba! (The Animals begins to look at Kovu as two Antelopes came in front of Kovu)

Animals: Deception

Disgrace (As the Antelopes block him very closer Kovu jumps away)

Evil as plain as the scar on his face

Zebras: Deception

An outrage!

Giraffes: Disgrace

For shame! (Kovu lands with the Hippopotamus and a bunch of Pythons)

Hippo: He asked for trouble the he came.

(The Pythons strike at Kovu but he avoid them and runs off)

Animals: He can't change his stripes!

Zebras: Deception

An outrage!

Giraffes: Disgrace

For shame!

Animals: You know these outsider!

Evil as plain as the scar on his face!

See you later, agitator!

Just leave us alone!

Zebras: Deception

Hippo: He asked for trouble the moment he came

Chorus: Born in grief (A group of birds came and fly towards Kovu)

(Ash and Kiara are finally out of the two lioness blocking them as they try to run to catch Kovu, two more lioness block them again)

For we knew he would do what he's done (As Kovu made it, he walk on the rock and see Pride Rock again)

Rafiki: (Sad) Oooh. (As the song is over, Kiara and Ash run at Simba)

Kiara: Father, please reconsider.

Simba: You will not go anywhere without an escort from now on.

Kiara: No that's not...

Simba: (Cuts Kiara off) He used you to get to me!

Ash Ketchum: Simba, it wasn't Kovu's fault! If he really was trying to kill you, he would never have come back to beg you for mercy! I told you to give him a chance to explain, but you wouldn't listen to me!

Simba: Ash, I am not going back on my word! Young man, I can't believe you suggested to have him stay in my kingdom in the first place! You said it would make things right! But instead it brought us nothing but trouble! I thought you were supposed to be my friend. But after what has happened, I was wrong. For you are now considered a threat to not only my daughter and my family, but also my kingdom!

Ash Ketchum: WHAT?!?!

Serena: Simba, how could you talk to our friend that way?!

Iris: That was totally uncalled for!

Kiara: She's right, Father! And Kovu loves me for me.

Simba: Because you are my daughter, you will not leave Pride Rock! All of you can stay where I can keep an eye on you, away from him.

May: (Gasps) Simba that was very cruel for what you said!

Max: Yeah, he said he knew nothing about the ambush!

Simba: He's blinded Kiara and all of you!

Dawn: No, [points her finger at him] YOU'RE the one who's blind!

Misty: Dawn's right, you're so consumed by the tragic events that happened in the Past as a little cub, you only see what you want to see!

Simba: Oh c'mon!

Bonnie: How could you be so selfish, Simba?!

Serena: Yeah, you don't even see or care for what you're doing! You're treating Kiara like a prisoner and a child! You can't do that when you're being king!

Kiara: And you don't know him!

Ash Ketchum: You know, Simba. Just because you're trying to protect the Pride Lands from Scar's legacy and Zira's wrath, doesn't mean you have to act like both Scar and Zira.

Simba: Don't you ever compare me to them, Ash! I know he's following in Scar's paw prints. And I must following my father's.

Kiara: You will never be Mufasa!

(Everyone, including Simba was shocked at hearing this. Kiara runs into Pride Rock, crying).

Brock: You sure have made your own daughter very upset!

Simba: I did what was best for her.

Cilan: You mean you did what was best for yourself!

Simba: It wasn't quite that...

Tracey Sketchit: For a great king, you're such a big mean overprotective jerk!

Simba: My friends, I told you all...

Clemont: [Cuts him off] You should have given Kovu a chance to explain!

(They stare disapprovingly at him).

Simba: [Growls] Face it! I am the king and i can do whatever i want!

(Everyone is frightened, but Ash).

May/Max: Please don't. Don't eat us!

Simba: It's okay, guys. I didn't want to harm anybody. I just wanted you to listen to me, yeah?

Ash Ketchum: You're heartless! You've always been a heartless! Strangers from other lands try to be nice to you, but you can't ever see it. Because you're too busy protecting those you love and keeping the Pride Lands for yourself!

(Simba is shocked to hear what Ash just said).

Simba: I... I did it for Kiara, for the Pride Lands.

Ash Ketchum: You did it for yourself! And Kiara's right, you're nothing like Mufasa, you're just like Scar! And you always were and always will be!

(Simba is more shocked).

Simba: Ash... we're all on the same side, remember?

Ash Ketchum: Things change, people change! It's all over Simba! I'm done being your friend.

(Simba gasps in horror then Ash begins to walk off Pride Rock).

Simba: [Runs up to him] Ash, [grabs Ash's hand] wait! You don't understand!

(Ash then pulls his hand back from Simba as his claws inadvertently slashes through the skin on his wrist, making him yelp in pain and making the pride, his friends, and the animals gasp in horror.)

Nala: Simba!

Zazu: Your majesty!

(Ash looks at the claw marks on his wrist bleeding. Simba looks at everyone who stare at him in complete shock at what he just did).

Simba: Ash, I didn't...I'm sorry, I...

(Ash loses control of his temper and snaps back at Simba even more).

Ash Ketchum: I don't want to hear it! You've done quite ENOUGH!!!

(Ash punches Simba in the face which him to fall)

Simba: [Gets back up] But let me explain! I didn't mean to...

Ash Ketchum: Don't even bother me! I'm leaving! I don't care what you say, no matter what you do, and right now I don't care if I ever see you again! I HATE YOU!!!

(Everyone is shock and frightened, as Ash runs away from Pride Rock).

Pikachu: Pika, Pi! (follows after him)

Simba: Ash! Ash, come back!

Ash Ketchum: LEAVE ME ALONE!!!

(Ash summons Charizard from his Pokéball then jumps on Charizard's back and flies off. The Heroes give Simba a cold angry stare and all turn their backs on him as they head into the cave, without saying a word).

Simba: Come on you guys. You all know I didn't mean to hurt Ash. Don't do this, please. Misty? Brock? Everyone, please don't be... mad at me.

(It was no use, they all ignored him).

Simba: Nala, you know I didn't mean to hurt him.

(But she sadly turned her back on him too)

Simba: Nala...

Nala: I just can't talk to you right now.

(She went into the cave with Zazu, Timon, Pumbaa and the lionesses following her).

Simba: Please...

(All that's left is the Pride Land animals who all witnessed the argument after they helped Simba drive Kovu away. Simba turns to the animals, hoping that they would add some defense on what he'd just did. But all he got from them were cold, angry stares after the way he treated his human friend, and they could only respond by turning their backs on him. Once all of the animals were gone, Simba is now all alone, sad, remorseful and heartbroken for what he has done).

Simba: (sighs) What have I done? I shouldn't have been too hard on her. What am I going to do?'

Search Parties/Ash meets Mufasa's Ghost

(In the cave)

Serena: I've never seen Ash so angry like that.

Tracey Sketchit: No one has ever seen him that angry.

Brock: But he's right, Simba has made thing worst for everyone in the Pride Lands.

Misty: First Kovu's banishment, then Kiara's now upset & now Ash has turned against Simba!

(Kiara is sobbing about what her selfish father did. Then the others walks over to her).

Serena: Kiara, are you alright?

May: What happened?

Kiara: I heard what happened between you and my father. [Drys up her tears] And I also heard what Ash said to him.

Cilan: We're sorry Kiara, we're sure he didn't mean it.

Kiara: No, you and Ash are right. My father is a heartless.

Iris: Sorry about Kovu. Is there anything we can do to help?

Kiara: No thanks.

Misty: I wish there was a way we could get you out of here, and away from Simba.

Brock: So, you can be back with Kovu.

Tracey Sketchit: Uh, there's only one problem, Kiara's not going anywhere.

Iris: Tracey's right! How are we going to get her away from Simba?

Max: [Notices some light shining through a hole in the wall] Hey, there's a hole in the wall.

May: Now's not the time Max.

Max: No, watch! [Pushes the wall making the hole bigger] Ta-Da!

Clemont: A secret exit, of course!

Kiara: Yes! [begins to leave]

Bonnie: Where are you going?

Kiara: To find Kovu.

Serena: Don't worry Kiara, we won't tell anyone, especially your father.

Kiara: Thank you all. You're such trusted friends.

(She sneaks quietly off Pride Rock, then ran off. Meanwhile, she tracks the same path Kovu took while she fled from Pride Rock, but cannot find him).

Kiara: Kovu? Kovu...

(She walks through the stream Kovu walked through, looking down at her reflection. Curiously, only half of her body is clear. She continues looking through a cave, calling his name)

Kiara: Kovu..

(Kiara huddles outside the crevice. Back at Pride Rock).

May: Wow, I can't believe we just busted Kiara out of her own home.

Max: Let's hope Simba doesn't find out that Kiara escaped, or there's going to be more trouble.

Iris: Unless we keep it our little secret.

Misty: We better cover up the hole, before Simba finds it, and we're all in trouble!

Clemont: Leave it to me!

(Clemont takes out a fake 2d wall from his backpack, then uses it to patch the hole in the wall)

Bonnie: You're a genius, Big Brother.

Clemont: Thanks a lot, Little Sis.

(Cilan sees Serena looking very worried).

Cilan: What's wrong, Serena?

Serena: I-I'm just worried about Ash.

Brock: I'll give [takes out his phone] him a call. [phone rings, but no answer back] Oh, I forgot there's no signal in the Pride Lands.

Cilan: We should go find him.

Misty: But Ash's always disappearing. He could be anywhere.

Serena: Come on, let's go find Ash.

(They began to walk off from Pride Rock and into the Pride Lands. After they left, Timon and Pumbaa went up to Simba).

Timon: Hey Simba, what's up? Don't worry, we're not here to check on you, after you kicked Kovu out of the Pride Lands, putting Kiara in a bad mood, and hurting Ash.

Pumbaa: Yeah, we're taking you out for grubs! What do you say?

Simba: Did you hear the hurtful things they said to me? (sighs)

Pumbaa: Uh... I'll take that as a "no".

Timon: Is there anything you want up to do?

Simba: Just... make sure Kiara doesn't leave.

Timon: Okay.

(They went into the cave).

Pumbaa: Kiara, is it okay if we talk to you?

Timon: Yeah, it will only be just a few mins. Kiara?

(Kiara isn't in her den).

Pumbaa: She's gone!

Timon: Disappeared!

Pumbaa: Oh boy, Simba's not going to like this. We better tell him that Kiara snuck out!

Timon: Hold on Pumbaa! If we tell Simba about this, he'll be more angry than ever.

Pumbaa: Oh, you're right, Timon.

Timon: We'll track down Kiara ourselves.

(While Kiara is searching for Kovu, Serena and the others are searching for Ash & Timon and Pumbaa are searching for Kiara. Rafiki is back in his tree feeling disappointed that the plan didn't work)

Rafiki: Oh Mufasa, I told you that the plan won't work. And now Simba is really overprotective of his kingdom and he had lost a good friend he ever had. [Then the wind blow around Rafiki that he got another plan] Hmm? You have another plan? [Gasps] What's that? The human boy? You want to talk to him?

(Later that night somewhere in the Pride Lands, Ash is under a tree trying to clean the claw marks that Simba accidentally made during his argument. But he's still mad about the cruel and unfair punishment he gave to Kovu and the selfish treatment he inflicted to his own daughter just because he's caught up from the pain from his own past).

Ash Ketchum: [grunts in pain] That really stings. [groans and kicks a rock] I can't believe that Simba did that. First, he exiled Kovu out of the Pride Lands without letting him get a chance to explain. And then he considered me a threat to Kiara, his family, and his kingdom! And then he did this to me! Well, who needs Simba anyway?! Not me! I don't care! And I'm never going back ever!

Pikachu: Pikachu!

Ash Ketchum: No, Pikachu! I've made up my mind! I'm not heading back to the Pridelands! Not after what he's done! I mean what will it do anyway? It won't change anything. You can't change the past! [looks up at the sky and stands up for a moment; shouts] You said you'll always be my friend, Simba! But you're not the friend I knew anymore. [sighs] It's all because of what I said. [falls to his knees and starts to cry] I'm sorry. I'm so sorry! [cries]

Pikachu: Pika. [sadly]

(Pikachu comforts Ash to make him feel better. Then they heard someone singing as they look behind them and they see it was Rafiki singing but Ash took no notice but dry up his tears and walks away. Rafiki laughed as he watches Ash walking following by Pikachu. Ash walks cross a log over the stream, but he stops to looking at him on water. Then Rafiki throw a rock in the stream and began to sing again).

Ash Ketchum: Come on, now. Would you please cut it out?

Rafiki: Can't cut it out. It'll grow right back! [laugh]

Ash Ketchum: Crazy old monkey. Will you quit following me? What are you even doing out here?

Rafiki: The question is what are you doing out here?

Ash Ketchum: [Sighs] I thought I knew why I'm out here. But now I'm not so sure anymore.

Rafiki: Well, I know what it is. Shh, come here, it's a secret. [began to sing]

Ash Ketchum: [Groans while covering his ears] Stop singing already! What does that even mean anyway?!

Rafiki: It means you're a baboon, and I'm not. [chuckled]

Ash Ketchum: I think you're confused.

Rafiki: Wrong! I'm not the one who's confused. You don't even know what you are doing! And you don't even know who you are anymore!

Ash Ketchum: Oh, sure. [walks off] And I suppose you know.

Rafiki: Sure do. You're a friend of Mufasa's boy. [Ash stops when he heard that and turn around at Rafiki] Bye.

Ash Ketchum: Hey, wait a minute! Stop!

Pikachu: Pika pi. [follows Ash]

(Ash chase after Rafiki and he caught up to him sitting on a rock)

Ash Ketchum: You know about Mufasa?

Rafiki: Correction. I know Mufasa.

Ash Ketchum: I hate to say this, but Simba told me Scar killed him, a long time ago.

Rafiki: Nope! Wrong again! [laugh] He's alive. And I'll show him to you! You follow Rafiki, He knows the way. Come on!

(Ash follow him into the forest and claw through the branches and vines to chase up)

Rafiki: Don't dawdle. HURRY UP!

Ash Ketchum: Hey wait, hold on a minute.

Rafiki: Come on, come on!

Ash Ketchum: Will you slow down?!

(As he races through the branches trying to catch up).

Rafiki: Stop!

Ash Ketchum: Whoa! [falls over] Hey, what gives? Why did we st- [Rafiki covers Ash's mouth to silence him]

Rafiki: Shh! [whispering] Look out there.

(Ash walk slowly towards Rafiki and look him then walk slowly towards the pond and looks down at it and sees his reflection which made him more disappointed)

Ash Ketchum: [Sighs] That's not Mufasa, it's just my reflection.

Rafiki: No! Look harder. [Point to the water Ash looks that his reflection on the waving water. He looks closer and harder and see Mufasa's face] You see he lives in you.

Mufasa's Voice: Ash..

Ash Ketchum: Mufasa?

(A cloud with an image walks towards to Ash up in the sky and show it's Mufasa)

Mufasa: Hello, Ash Ketchum.

Ash Ketchum: You're Mufasa? Simba's father? King of the Pride Lands?

Mufasa: Yes, I am Mufasa, Simba's father, and King of the Pride Lands before him.

Ash Ketchum: I don't understand. How can you be here? And how did you know my name?

Mufasa: Because I have been watching you, Ash. Ever seen you first met my son.

Ash Ketchum: You've been watching me this whole time?

Mufasa: Yes, and I also heard the mean and hurtful things of what you said to Simba before you ran away from Pride Rock.

Ash Ketchum: [looking down feeling sorry] I- I'm sorry, I really didn't mean to say any of those things to Simba. It's just that after what he did to Kovu, I got so mad at him because he wasn't being fair to him nor Kiara.

Mufasa: I understand, Ash. But you shouldn't lose your temper when someone makes you angry. Besides, you're not the only one who is mad at Simba for what he did. After Kovu's banishment, I was deeply disappointed in him as you were. His angry grudge against Scar and Zira clouded his better judgment. His actions let his family and friends grow apart and in doing so, he had broken the Circle of Life.

Ash Ketchum: I just don't understand your son, Mufasa. Why would he banish the Outsiders since they were part of the Pride Lands? What did they ever do to him that made him so angry that all of a sudden, he sends them away? It's just not fair for Simba to do such things without showing any consideration.

Mufasa: Yes, Ash. It's true. But after Scar was destroyed and Simba became king, Zira told him that he could not rule the Pride Lands because Scar as choosing her son Kovu to be the next king. Simba tried to tell Zira that Scar was never a real king, but she would not listen. Then Zira attacked him out of vengeance. But he outsmarted her and after that he had no choice but to banish Zira and her family to the Outlands forever. And since then, he vowed that he would always protect everything and everyone he loves.

Ash Ketchum: (shocked in realization) So that's it. That's why Simba was being so overprotective to his family and judgmental towards Kovu and the Outsiders. Scar and Zira's evil influence on taking over Pride Rock along with your death must've traumatized him for life. He's basically paranoid of losing his home and his loved ones again.

Mufasa: That's exactly right. When I thought about Kiara and Kovu growing closer and falling in love, it would help Simba bring the two prides together again. But after what has happened, Kiara ran away from home and now Zira is preparing a war that will destroy the Circle of Life, for good.

Ash Ketchum: WHAT?!?! You mean there's going to be a war?

Mufasa: Yes. And you, Kiara, and Kovu are the only ones who can stop it. Look inside yourself, Ash. You are more than what you have become. You must mend the two prides together and heal Simba's heart in order to restore the Circle of Life.

Ash Ketchum: But how can I go back? What power do I have to stop this war? I'm not who I am anymore.

Mufasa: Remember who you are. You are my son's good friend and the one true leader of your team. (Ash begins tearing up as Pikachu looks at him in sadness) Remember who you are... (began to fade away)

Ash Ketchum: No, wait, please, come back! Don't leave! (begins to chase him and Pikachu follows)

Pikachu: Pika Pi.

Mufasa: Remember...

Ash Ketchum: Mufasa! Mufasa, wait!

Mufasa: Remember...

Ash Ketchum: Don't go. Please...

Mufasa: Remember...

(Ash and Pikachu stop following Mufasa as he vanished as the wind blow while Rafiki came up)

Rafiki: What was that? [laugh] The weather! [stutters] Very peculiar. Don't you think?

Ash Ketchum: Yeah. Something tells me that big changes are about to what happened tonight.

Rafiki: (nod) Ah, change is good.

Ash Ketchum: Yeah, but it's not easy though. I know what I have to do but going back means I face what I have done. [Rafiki whacks Ash in the head with his stick] Ouch! That really hurts! What did you do that for?!

Rafiki: It doesn't matter! It's in the past. [laughing]

Ash Ketchum: Yeah, but it still hurts pretty bad.

Rafiki: Ah, yes. The past can hurt. But way I see you can rather run from it or learn of it. [swing his stick at Ash but this time he dodged it] Ah, you see! So, what are you going to do?

(Ash looks down with awe for the moment but then he smiles and looks up)

Ash Ketchum: I'm going to find Kiara and Kovu and tell them what's happening, but first... I'll be taking...[snatches Rafiki's stick] this!

Rafiki: No, no, no! That's mine! Give it back! That's not a toy!

Ash Ketchum: [laughs] You want it? Go get it! [throws the stick and laughs] Come on, Pikachu! Let's go!

Rafiki: [Picks up his stick] Hey, where are you going?

Ash Ketchum: I'm going back! [runs back to the Pride Lands] I'm going to mend the prides together and heal Simba's heart for the better!

Rafiki: Good, go on, get out of here! [laughing] Whoo! [laughs] Whooo! WHOOOO.....!

Love Will Find A Way/Kiara's Decision

(Kiara walks slowly through the grass. As she walks, two doves suddenly emerge from the grass and take to the air, causing her to pull up short).

Kiara:

♪ [Kiara watches the doves fly away, clearly wistful. She continues walking.] In a perfect world, [A herd of gazelles frolics by.] one we've never known, [A gazelle couple bounds away from the herd, then stops to nuzzle.] we would never need [Kiara watches the couple for a moment before turning and striding away.] to face the world alone. [Kiara walks into a forested area.] They can have the world. [Kiara stops and watches as two butterflies flit over her head. In a nearby tree, a monkey couple nuzzles.] We'll create our own. [Kiara follows the butterflies out of the forest.] I may not be brave or strong or smart, [Kiara leaps up onto a tree branch and looks up at the stars.] but somewhere in my secret heart, I know [Kiara looks between the star formation of a rabbit and the star formation of two lions fighting: the same ones she and Kovu had spotted earlier.] love will find a way. [Kiara lowers her head sadly.] Anywhere I go, [Kiara lies down on the tree branch.] I'm home if you are there beside me. [Kiara looks down at her reflection in a pool. Half of her reflection is missing. A leaf falls into the pool, distoring her reflection.] Like dark turning into day, [Kiara stands.] somehow we'll come through [Kiara notices a bush on the far shore moving, as if someone is hiding behind it.] now that I've found you. [A frog jumps out of the bush and lands in the pool.] Love will find a way. [Kiara frowns and walks away with her head bowed. The frame changes so that she is walking on a hill covered in ash. She sits.] ♪

Kovu:

♪ [The camera pans out to reveal Kovu standing on a hill behind Kiara. He watches her with a frown.] I was so afraid. [Kovu bows his head and closes his eyes. After a moment, his eyes snap open again.] Now, I realize [Kovu lifts his head and smiles. Kiara sighs silently.] love is never wrong, [Kovu strides down his hill toward Kiara.] and so it never dies. [Kiara's eyes open in shock.] There's a perfect world [Kiara turns around, and her mouth falls open in delight. She smiles affectionately.] shining in your eyes. ♪

Kovu and Kiara:

♪ [Kovu and Kiara smile at each other.] And if only they could feel it, too, [Kiara bounds down her hill toward Kovu. He rushes to meet her.] the happiness I feel with you, [Kovu and Kiara meet halfway and nuzzle.] they'd know love will find a way. [Kiara licks Kovu's cheek, then walks offscreen. His eyes widen in shock before he smiles.] Anywhere we go, we're home [Kovu chases after Kiara, who flicks ash at him. They walk side-by-side up another hill.] if we are there together. [Kovu and Kiara sit.] Like dark turning into day, [Kovu uses one paw to scrape away ash on the ground, revealing a green shoot.] somehow we'll come through [Kiara stares in wonder at the shoot. She smiles at Kovu, who waggles his eyebrows.] now that I've found you. Love will find a way. [Kovu and Kiara embrace. Around them, a wind carrying milkweed floss stirs the ash into the air.] I know love will find a way. ♪

(Kiara and Kovu were running and laughing with joy that they have found each other, they nuzzle each other. Then Kovu looks down at the water)

Kovu: Hey Look! We are one.

(Kiara looks at Kovu's and her reflection and then she realized that what her father meant that We are one)

Kovu: Let's get out of here! We'll run away together! And start a pride all our own.

Kiara: Kovu. We have to go back.

Kovu: You're kidding, but we're finally together.

Kiara: Our place is with our pride. If we run away, they'll be divided forever.

(Kovu was thinking about that. He didn't want to go back to his pride or Simba's pride, but then Ash appeared.)

Ash Ketchum: Kovu! Kiara!

Kiara: Ash?

Kovu: Ash, buddy! What are you doing out here?

Ash Ketchum: I came looking for you two. We have to go back. They're going to start a war.

Kiara & Kovu: What?!

Kiara: Are you sure?

Ash Ketchum: Yes, Mufasa just told me so.

Kiara: You saw my grandfather, Mufasa?

Ash Ketchum: Yes.

Kovu: Who's Mufasa?

Ash Ketchum: Simba's father who used to be the king of the Pride Lands.

Kiara: Until Scar killed him and took it over.

Kovu: [gasps] Oh, yeah. Now I remember. Simba told me that story before Zira ambushed him.

Ash Ketchum: Anyway, Mufasa said to me that Zira is not only planning to kill Simba, but also take Pride Rock and permanently destroy the Circle of Life. And we are the only ones that can stop it.

Kiara: Really?

Ash Ketchum: Uh-huh.

Kovu: But how are we supposed to stop this fight?

Kiara: Yeah, even you, Ash. I heard for what you said to my father and then you ran away.

Ash Ketchum: I know, Kiara. But I didn't mean to say those things to Simba. It's just that I got so angry at him because of what he did. I couldn't bear it any longer so, I had to leave Pride Rock. Even after (holds up his hand and partially shows the claw marks Simba accidentally made) he did this to me.

(Kiara and Kovu gasp upon the claw marks on Ash's hand.)

Kiara: My father did that?!

Ash Ketchum: Uh-huh. (wraps his wounds) And it still hurts. (Kiara attempts to nurse the wound by licking it) Thanks, Kiara.

Kiara: It won't help much, but it'll at least help you feel better.

Kovu: So what made you come back?

Ash Ketchum: Let's just say I finally got some sense knocked into me. (then he rubs his head) And I got the bump to prove it, which still hurts to be exact. Besides, our friends and families back in the Pride Lands need us. We have to convince Simba and Zira reform themselves and reunite the two prides together or Zira will destroy everything. And Mufasa's plan of peace will end up in ruins.

Kiara:  Then we need to stop them before it's too late. Are you with us Kovu?

Kovu: I don't know.

Ash Ketchum: Kovu, we need your help to stop the battle between the Outlanders and the Pride Landers. 

Kovu: But how? They're both enemies to each other. They will not listen.

Kiara: Then we'll make them listen. Through my father's own words of wisdom from long ago.

(Kovu thought for a moment but he made his mind up.)

Kovu: Come on, let's go. Race you back!

{They run off together, laughing.}

Prepare for the Final Battle

(Back in the Pride Lands, Serena and the others still looking for Ash).

Serena: Any sign of him?

Brock: No, not yet.

Cilan: But we'll keep searching for him.

Bonnie: I still never seen Ash that angry before.

Iris: You mean how Simba hurt Ash?

Max: That's just it! But Ash could be right.

Misty: Yeah, Simba made things worst for everyone after he forced Kovu out of the Pride Lands!

Clemont: You are also right about that, Misty.

(Just then lightning clash).

May: Looks like there's going to be a storm.

Dawn: And it's getting late.

Tracey Sketchit: You're both right, we better head back to Pride Rock.

Serena: But Ash is still out there somewhere!

Misty: I'm sure he's alright, Serena. We'll find him in the morning.

Serena: Ash....where are you?

(They start heading back to Pride Rock. Scene switches back to the Outlanders, crossing a river on the way to attack the Pride Lands).

Timon: I can't believe it we lost her again. This is the eighth thousandth time!

Pumbaa: [Whimpers] Ooh!

Timon: I thought you were gonna watch her!

Pumbaa: Me? You were gonna watch her!

Timon: I thought you were gonna watch her!

Pumbaa: No, you were gonna watch her!

Timon: You're were gonna watch her!

Pumbaa: Ah! Watch this! [Pumba belly-flops on top of Timon].

Timon: Ow! [Timon flips Pumbaa onto his back and tugs at his lip.] Take that, you creepy warthog! Say it!

[Simba strides into Pride Rock and shakes rainwater from his mane.]

Pumbaa: [from offscreen] Fat!

Timon: [from offscreen] Say it!

Pumbaa: [from offscreen] Fat! [Timon holds Pumbaa by the leg.] Fatty! Fat! Fat!

Simba: What are you doing?

Timon: [Timon and Pumbaa snap to attention. Pumbaa grins innocently, while Timon lands on his stomach.] Ah! Good question. [Timon sits up.] Uh, lemme ask you one.

Pumbaa: Hippo-thetically.

Timon: [Timon hops onto Pumbaa's snout.] Very hypothetical. There's this guy...

Pumbaa: [Pumbaa shakes his head.] But he's not a lion!

Timon: [Timon waves his hands in denial.] No! No! [Simba smirks knowingly.] He's not a lion. Sheesh. [Timon wags a finger at Simba.] Definitely not a lion. And, ah... Ah, his daughter, um, [Timon holds up both his arms.] say... [Timon crosses his arms.] vanished?

Simba: [angrily] Kiara's gone?!

(Just then the Heroes came into the cave).

Simba: Where have you all been?

Serena: Searching for Ash, but we couldn't find him anywhere.

Simba: Have any of you seen Kiara?

(The Heroes looked at each other, then began to tell lies).

Brock: No, we thought she's been grounded.

Simba: She was, but she's gone. She snuck out!

Misty: Oh, Kiara ran away, huh?

Tracey Sketchit: That's terrible.

Iris: Very terrible.

Dawn: I bet she's out there somewhere looking for Kovu.

Simba: I told her not to go near him again, but she just doesn't listen!

May: Do you know why Kiara snuck out?

Simba: Because Kovu played us all for fools!

Max: No, it's because you were so mean and arrogant and you won't stop thinking about the tragic terrors from your past! And you all do is act like Scar!!!

(Simba is greatly shocked)

May: Max's right, ever since you become king you've become overprotective to your family and friends, selfish to strangers and heart hated to your enemies!

Clemont: And you don't even care about what you do!

Bonnie: If you did, you could have just given Kovu a chance to explain.

Simba: Everything is better for the Pride Lands my way.

Iris: No, things for the Pride Lands are better their own way! And if you were a real king, you would see that!

(Simba is more shocked)

Cilan: Ash was right, you're nothing like Mufasa, you're just like Scar!

(Simba is more shocked than ever)

Brock: Looks like you're nothing like your father after all.

Simba: First I banished Kovu from Pride Rock, my good friend has abandoned me, and now my only daughter has disappeared without a trace. That's why I become a tyrant. How could this possibly get any worse?

(Then Zazu flies in)

Zazu: Sire! The Outsiders are on the attack! Heading this way! It's war!

Simba: Zazu, find Kiara and Ash! We'll assemble the lionesses! Move now!

(We then see the clouds raining and thundering, then we find the Outsiders marching down as some guineafowls were seen running away from them. Then we see the Pride Landers and Simba marching up. Herds of Zebras and Antellopes noticed the two warring prides and runs off. We then find Ash, Pikachu, Kiara, and Kovu running their way as fast as they could).

Ash Ketchum: Hurry!

Kiara: Don't worry, we'll make it.

Kovu: We're glad you came back Ash.

Ash Ketchum: Someone gotta keep you two overgrown alley-cat together and forever.

(They continued to run towards the warring prides as they begin to close in on each other. Three Giraffes and a group of Okapis run off to avoid the battle of the prides as they both stood their ground growling. Vultures were soaring and circling the sky as the camera moves down to the warring prides standing tall).

Final Battle/Kiara Confronts Her Father

Timon and Pumbaa: [both shake their behinds to mock the Outlanders] Nah-nah-nah-nah-nah-nah!

Misty: [slaps her face in disgust] Oy-vey!

Zira: It's over, Simba! I have dreamed of nothing else for years.

Timon: Boy, does she need a hobby.

Serena: Zira! You and Simba don't have to fight! You can end this peacefully!

Zira: SILENCE HUMAN! You have no idea what we've been through! I have dreamed of doing the only thing I know that is right, and that's getting rid of Simba and all of you once and for all!

Iris: It's no use trying to reason with her, Serena! She's too blinded by her loyalty to Scar to see the truth!

Dawn: She really needs a new hobby.

Simba: Last chance, Zira. Go home.

Serena: You heard Simba! JUST GO HOME!

Zira: I am home.

Bonnie: We're not letting you take Simba's kingdom!

Zira: Oh, is that so?

Clemont: Yes, you and your Outsiders won't win this time!

Zira: We'll see about that. [thunder claps] ATTACK!

(The Outlanders, Simba and the Pridelanders both charge and begin to fight brutally).

Zira: Go for the eyes! (An Outsider hits a Pridelander's eye with her paw) Break his jaw! (Another Outsider strikes another Pridelander under her jaw) Hit him low! (Another Outsider attacks another Pridelander from underneath her) Get them! Do what you must!

(Sooner or later, Kiara, Ash, and Kovu arrive at the scene of the battle).

Ash Ketchum: Look! Over there! [points at the battle between the Pridelanders and the Outlanders] We're too late! They started the battle!

Kiara: No, Ash. There's still time. [sees the pile of logs in the middle of the gorge] Come on! We can go across there!

(They race towards the log pile as the battle continues. Timon and Pumbaa are too scared to fight).

Pumbaa: What do we do? What do we do?

Timon: There's only one thing we can do, Pumbaa. "When the going gets tough, the tough get going". That's our motto!

Pumbaa: I thought our motto was, "Hakuna Matata".

Timon: Pumbaa, stop living in the past. We need a new motto. Yee-ha!

Pumbaa: Yah!

Timon: Whoo! [One of the outlanders roars at them and scares both Timon and Pumbaa out of their wits] Like I said, let's get going!

(Timon and Pumbaa ran for their lives as the Heroes looks at them pathetically).

Brock: Chickens.

Clemont: There's too many of them, Brock! We can't keep this up!

Brock: I know, Clemont! I know! I just wish there's a better way to put a stop to this. Mostly, Ash is the one who comes up with a plan.

Serena: Oh, guys, I sure wish Ash was here to help us.

(Kiara, Kovu, and Ash struggle to get across the log pile. Ash trips over a loose log).

Kovu: [grabs him] I gotcha!

(Kovu pulls him in safely as Kiara helps by pulling Kovu's tail).

Ash Ketchum: Thanks, Kovu.

Kovu: Don't mention it.

Kiara: [leans in front of Ash] Quick, get on!

(Ash hops on Kiara's back and they continue to cross. Nala confronts Vitani).

Vitani: Where's your pretty daughter, Nala?

Nala: Vitani!

(Vitani pounces on Nala and fights. Timon and Pumbaa are cornered to a boulder by the Outlanders. Timon quivers in fear but thinks of an idea. He takes Pumbaa's tail and makes it look like a gun).

Timon: Don't anybody move! This thing's loaded! I'll let you have it! [The Outlanders shriek and run away as Timon laughs] Talk about your winds of war.

(The Heroes are getting worn out, for they knew there was nothing they can do to stop this).

Misty: Brock, what do we do? There's no point in stopping this!

Brock: I don't know, Misty. I think there's nothing we can do. We can't stop this on our own.

Dawn: Yeah, and these guys are tougher than we thought.

Iris: You're telling me, Dawn.

Tracey Sketchit: If only Ash was here, he would know what to do.

May: Yeah, he's our leader.

Max:  We need him.

Serena: Please come back to us, Ash. [grasps her hands together]

Cilan: Guys, look! [points at Zira] Zira is going to fight Simba! [everyone gasps]

Clemont: But how can we halt the battle?

Brock: By charging?

Iris: Maybe we should…

Misty/May/Dawn/Iris/Bonnie/Serena: CHAAAAAARRRGGGGGE!!!! (They charge and bowl the Outsiders.)

Serena: Whew! There's too many of them, Misty!

Zira: [laughs evilly as Simba is getting swarmed by the Outlanders] Simba, you're mine!

(Simba struggles against the Outlanders but Zira struck him in the face, catching the attention of both prides. The Heroes could only watch in horror as Simba is about to fight to the death with his arch enemy he has hated since he became king. Zira and Simba glared at one another in deep hatred and anger as they get closer and circle around).

Serena: [talks quietly as she grasps her hands tightly in fear] Please Ash, [Then they both roared loudly and raised their claws as they prepare to strike] help us!

(Things are about to get bloody, when suddenly).

Ash Ketchum: EVERYBODY STOP!!!!

(Both Simba, Zira, the Heroes, and the two prides look and see three figures leaping into the battlefield as lightning flashes in the sky. Two of the figures landed in between Simba and Zira and landed in a short distance away from them. It was Kiara, Kovu, and Ash. Ash jumped off Kiara's back, pulled out his sword and points it directly in front of Simba. Ash's Pikachu hops off of his shoulder and gets in front of Zira as it prepares to use Thunderbolt on her. Ash's Adventure Team are surprised to see their leader is back and Serena laughs in joy upon seeing that her wishes have been granted).

Simba: Kiara? Ash? [Kiara and Ash glare at Simba]

Zira: Kovu! [Kovu stands bravely] Move.

Simba: Both of you, stand aside.

Kiara: Daddy, this has to stop.

Ash Ketchum: You both have caused enough trouble.

Zira: You're even weaker than I thought! Get out of the way!

Kovu: You'll never hurt Kiara or Simba. Not while I'm here. [Zira gasps in shock]

Simba: Stay out of this.

Ash Ketchum: No! Not until the two of you stop this fighting and listen to reason! And if you're so desperate to kill Zira, then you'll have to kill both me and Kiara first! [Simba is surprised at hearing such words from Ash's mouth]

Simba: Ash, how could you do this? How could you side with Zira? [Ash is confused Simba's protests] Do you have any idea what she'll do if she wins? Do you?

Ash Ketchum: Simba, I did not side with Zira! I am fully aware of what she's planning, and I don't want it to happen as much as you! But in case you have forgotten something. The Outlanders aren't just some random, villainous pride trying to take over Pride Rock. They were part of your pride too. And you only banished them because of their loyalty towards Scar! The lion that killed your father, lied to you about his death, banished you, and took your kingdom out of his own selfishness, jealousy, hatred, and greed! [The Outlanders and Pride Landers look at Ash in confusion as Ash's Adventures Team stare in worry, Serena puts her hand over her heart in concern for Ash] Besides Simba, even if I did turn against you, would I be standing here talking some sense into you right now?! Huh?! Would I?! All I've been trying to do was to make things right and obey your father's command by helping him find a way to unite the two prides together! Because that's what they are!

Kiara: A wise king once told me, "we are one". I didn't understand him then. Now I do.

Simba: But they...

Kiara: Them? Us! Look at them. They are us. What differences do you see?

Ash Ketchum: Your daughter knows what she is saying, Simba. The pride was never meant to be separated and fighting would only make things worse for both sides. Yours and Zira's. Think about it, Simba. What would you gain if you fight? Would you really earn peace? Through violence? Through war? Through hatred and anger? Through useless bloodshed? Kiara, Kovu, and I, as well as your father, Mufasa, are trying to tell everyone here that you are all supposed to live together as one big unity. Because your pride and Zira's pride are one in the same. So, there's no point in the two prides going against each other anymore. [Ash puts his hand on Kiara's head] She has proven that she is ready to become the next heir Simba, and this is the path she's chosen. What will yours be?

[Vitani and the Outlanders ae slowly beginning to understand their speech. Just then, they break into a song.]

[Ash Ketchum] Would you say I'm a hero Glorious and brave If I told you something you wouldn't believe? That sometimes I'm scared And I can make mistakes And I'm not so heroic, it seems But if day can turn to night And the darkness turn to light Then why can't we imagine Outlanders can change?

[Kiara] No two creatures are exactly the same No two snowflakes ever match their design

[Ash Ketchum] And I thought I was strong But I was nothing but wrong When I forgot to be friendly and kind

[Ash and Kiara] But if day can turn to night And the darkness turn to light Then why can't we imagine Outlanders can change?

[Ash Ketchum] Would you say I'm a hero Glorious and brave If I told you something you wouldn't believe?

[Kiara] Kovu, here, it seems Knows the real me And would stay by my side 'til the end

[Ash and Kiara] So, if day can turn to night And the darkness turn to light Then why can't we imagine Just why can't we imagine Then why can't we imagine Outlanders can change?

[Simba looks at both prides for a few moments then stares at his daughter and his friend. Simba did not know what to say, for he was loss at words. Simba slowly but surely realized that his daughter, who he had been overprotective for such a long time, is repeating the same exact words he told her when she was a cub. He even realizes that Ash is being true to his father's plan of uniting the prides. Then a small beacon of light shines through the clouds. Simba looks up and senses Mufasa's presence and saw that he was acknowledging both Kiara and Ash's courage and wisdom. Simba then looked at Ash and Kiara and smiled at both of them, no longer having the intention of fighting. Kiara and Simba embrace and nuzzle each other as Ash puts away his sword. Serena runs up to Ash and hugs him. The entire Adventure Team walk up to Ash, relieved that their leader is back and were proud of him for saving the day.]

Zira: Vitani, now!

Vitani: No, Mother. [Everyone looks at Vitani in worry] Ash and Kiara are right. [walks up to her brother] Enough. [The Outlanders look in confusion]

Zira: If you will not fight, then you will die as well. [The Outlanders are shocked at Zira's threating words and turn against her] What? Where are... Where are you going? Get back here!

Simba: [calmly] Let it go, Zira. It's time to put the past behind us.

Zira: I'll never let it go!

Brock: You have to, Zira!

Iris: This is wrong and you know it!

Cilan: Let the past be the past, Zira. It's OK to move on. And besides, it will makes things easier for all of us.

Bonnie: Staying stuck in the past won't bring you happiness. It will only make it worse for you.

Misty: Fighting like this is pointless now, Zira. And it wasn't Simba who killed Scar. It was the hyenas who ate him alive after being defeated by Simba.

Clemont: Simba ended Scar's reign of terror to continue the great circle of life on Mufasa's behalf and that's all we want from him.

Tracey Sketchit: Simba did what was best for his kingdom. Get it through your thick head.

Zira: Shut up, you insolent brats! This doesn't concern you! [A loud bang is heard. Which is revealed to be the log dam that is about to break apart] This is for you, Scar! [Zira leaps at Simba, but Ash runs towards her with Kiara behind him]

Ash Ketchum: No! Simba, look out! [Both Ash and Kiara ram into Zira and knocked her forward. However, this cause them to fall over the cliff.]

Simba: Ash! Kiara!

[Ash and the two lionesses continue to fall].

Misty: Oh no! They're falling!

Serena: Ash! [Serena tries to follow, but Simba stops her].

Simba: No, Serena! Stay up here where you're safe! I'll go and get them! [Simba jumps down the gorge in hot pursuit to rescue his daughter and his friend] Ash, hang on! Kiara, I'm coming!

(Ash, Kiara, and Zira tumble down the gorge, but Kiara manages to save herself by clinging on a wall with her claws. Zira and Ash are now clinging for their lives over the river below. Ash struggles to hold on for he doesn't have any claws to help him support. Kiara was also frantic about this danger).

Nala: Hold on, Kiara! [notices the log dam breaking and a massive flood of water starts to rage through the gorge] Simba. Simba, the river!

Serena: Hurry!

(Simba notices this and jumps on another rock in a quicker attempt to save them. The river rages on as both Ash and Zira struggle to hold on).

Ash Ketchum: [his fingers start to get sore] Kiara, help me! [Kiara, who is standing above the ledge, reached her paw out for him]

Kiara: [grunts as she struggles to reach Ash] Ash, here! Take my paw! [Ash tries to reach]

Ash Ketchum: I can't reach!

Kiara: Try harder! [Ash tries to reach but Zira swipes her paw in front of Ash scaring him. Ash slips a little but quickly grabs on the ledge before he can fall even further. She decides to help Zira before she can save Ash.] Zira, give me your paw. [But Zira, unable to let go of her hatred, swipes her paw but it makes her lose her grip] Zira, come on. [Zira slips even further] I'll help you. [Zira continues to slip] 

(Zira falls into the raging river, which drowns her. Kovu is deeply saddened at the loss of his mother, but was relieved that she can no longer cause any harm. Kiara pulls Ash to safety).

Simba: Kiara.

Kiara: Daddy.

Ash Ketchum: Simba.

Kiara: We tried.

(Simba reaches his daughter's paw. Moments later, Simba and Kiara climb back up. Ash rode on Simba's back while climbing up and when they reach the top, Ash climbs off).

Nala: Kiara. [nuzzles her daughter]

Pumbaa: Wow, that was really brave!

Timon: Yee-haw!

Serena: Ash!

Ash Ketchum: Serena! [they hug each other]

Pikachu: Pika! Pi!

Ash Ketchum: Pikachu! [laughs as he hugs Pikachu]

Brock: Thank goodness you're OK!

Cilan: That was a close one!

Iris: You had us all scared!

Ash Ketchum: It's OK, everyone. I'm fine. Really. [Pikachu leaps on Ash] Pikachu! [laughs for a bit] Well, guys. We did it. We united the prides and brought peace.

Misty: You bet we did, Ash.

Tracey Sketchit: But we couldn't have done it without you, Ash.

Ash Ketchum: Aww, shucks, Tracey. [laughs]

Kiara: Kovu.

Kovu: [nuzzle each other] Oh, Kiara.

Simba: [feeling remorseful about his selfish action from before] Kovu, I was wrong. You belong here. [Kovu smiles at him]

Kiara: Hey, Daddy. I think you owe a certain friend there a big apology too. [points at Ash as he is talking to his friends]

Simba: Oh. [Simba walks up to Ash] Ahem. Uh, Ash?

Ash Ketchum: Huh? [Turns and sees Simba next to him] Oh, Simba. [starts to feel nervous] Simba, I... I...

Simba: No, Ash. I just want to say, I'm sorry for the way I acted towards you. You were right about Kovu. You were right about the Outlanders. You were right about my daughter. And you were right about me. I still have a lot to learn about being king and I still have a long way to go. I know I can ignorant and stubborn at times, but that doesn't mean I'm a terrible king. And I probably shouldn't have accused you for something you never do. I was filled with so much hate and anger I've had from the past, that it blinded me from the truth for so long. All of that hatred got the better of me. I was out of control. Can you ever forgive me and still be my friend?

Ash Ketchum: Well, I can definitely do that, Simba. But I have something to say as well. I'm sorry too for the way I acted. I never meant to anger or disappoint you at all. And I especially didn't mean to snap at you in such an angry way. I was only trying to make things better for you and your family by carrying out your father's plan of uniting the prides, but I truly didn't want to lose my friendship with you. Can you forgive me as well?

Simba: Of course I will. Even if I was mad at you, you're my best friend and you'll always will be. And as much as I hate to admit it, Ash. Scar, Zira, and I are kind of alike. But there's one thing different about the three of us: Scar and Zira never had real friends just like I do. Besides, for what you and Kiara did, I owe my life to you and I am eternally grateful for it. So, thank you. [The two embrace each other with a hug. The two prides, Kiara, Kovu, Nala, Timon, Pumbaa, and Ash's Adventure Team looked happily as Ash and Simba forgave each other and rekindled their friendship] Let's go home. [turns to the newly reformed Outlanders] All of us.

Ending/Bonus Ending

Serena: We're about to leave Pride Rock, Ash. Something wrong?

Ash Ketchum: Simba and Nala are having a little quality time with their daughter and their new son-in-law.

Serena: Really?

Ash Ketchum: Yeah. And you know what?

Serena: What?

Ash Ketchum: I can't help but feel sorry for Kovu. Despite Zira's madness, she was still his sister's mother.

Serena: Oh, I understand. Even if she did try to kill Simba and take over Pride Rock by force, she did show some care for her children.

Cilan: (shows up next to Serena) Yeah, but we all know and understand that if Zira wants to stick to her hatred and remain loyal to Scar, so be it. Kiara can be happy that at least she convinced Kovu not to follow in his mother's evil pawprints.

Brock: (puts his hand on Ash's shoulder) You don't have to worry about Kovu, Ash. As long as he's with Kiara, he'll be fine.

Ash Ketchum: You're right, Brock.

May: By the way Ash, why did you come back and how did you know about the battle?

Ash Ketchum: Well, Mufasa appeared to me and told me about it.

Misty: You mean his g-g-ghost?

Ash Ketchum: Yep! (thought of something) But you know what? I think I might have an idea on how to resolve Kiara's hunting problem. Listen up. (whispers his resolvent to his friends)

(Outside of Pride Rock we find the Pridelanders (including the reformed Outsiders who now joined the pride), Ash and his friends, coming out for Kovu and Kiara's wedding. Simba gives a smile of approval to Rafiki which he understood as he shook his staff over Kiara and Kovu now a married couple. Simba smiled to his daughter as she smiled back and nuzzles her new mate, Kovu, while Nala nuzzles Simba.)

Pumbaa: I love moments like this!

Timon: Yeah!

Timon and Pumbaa: Love! Not like! Love!

(They both cried with tears of joy while an annoyed Zazu gets soaked by their raining tears. Ash and his friends laughed over their tearful moment, except Brock.)

Brock: Laugh all you want! If they think it's romantic, so do I.

(The royal family of Pride Rock then walked their way passed some of the bowing lionesses as they reached the edge of Pride Rock. Simba then gave out a loud roar, with Kovu doing the same. Then both of them, as well as Nala and Kiara gave out a big roar across the Pride Lands, with the rest of their pride roaring along as well. All of the animals cheered for the family as they look down upon their subjects then Simba looks up the sky.)

Mufasa: Well done, my son.

(Simba smiled while feeling the breeze from Mufasa blowing through his mane. Ash and Pikachu look up and gives a wink and smiles to Mufasa, and Rafiki simply smiles and nods to Mufasa as their plan has worked out after all. Simba's Pride had at long last finally been reunited)

Mufasa: We are one.

(The End)

Bonus Ending: A Successful Hunt

Ash Ketchum: Okay, here they go.

(Kovu starts off the hunt by stalking the prey while avoiding the watchful eye of the guards. And when the time was right: ambush! He starts chasing three of the gazelles away from the herd. He drives them towards Kiara and her mother, Nala.)

May: Wow!

Max: Look at him go!

Misty: Go Kovu!

(Then Kiara and Nala take over as they pop out of the bushes and join in the chase. And then, for the moment of truth, Simba jumps out and pounces one of the gazelles. He bites down on its neck and kills it, earning their meal.)

Ash and his friends: (cheering)

Ash Ketchum: They got it!

Pikachu: (happily) Pikachu!

(All four lions let out a might roar of triumphant.)
