Barney's Adventures of The Princess and the Frog is a Barney/Disney crossover film. It'll be released in 2024 and possibly on Black History Month, in honor of Tiana's upcoming Disney Plus series and the film's 15th anniversary.
Plot:[]
Barney the Dinosaur, Kermit the Frog, Ariel, … travel to New Orleans and meet an old friend of Barney's named Tiana, a young waitress who dreams of having her own diner to make her late father happy. One night, they meet a frog who's actually a prince named Naveen, who has been turned into a frog by voodoo man Dr. Facilier. When Tiana kisses him to break the spell, it only turns her into a frog. When they try to escape, Barney, in hopes of ending the madness, instead turns the rest of the gang into frogs due to his voodoo allergy, except for Kermit since he's already a frog. So they go in search of Barney's old friend, Mama Odie, in hopes she'll turn everyone back to normal unaware Dr. Facilier is searching for them.
Trivia:[]
- Ariel appears for three reasons:
- She's responsible for the King Triton float.
- In honor of her live-action remake the year before, where she too was black.
- Her film's 305th anniversary is this year.
- Barney and the others aren't turned back to normal until the wedding.
- Ariel figures out the wedding climax ahead of the others by referencing the one from her own movie.
- Production began on 9-29-22, the day after the Nostalgia Critic review of the movie.
