Brer Bear is Brer Fox's dimwited sidekick who is one of the characters in Disney's Song of the South. He always tags along with Brer Fox wherever he goes. His first appearence in a Pooh's Adventures film was Winnie the Pooh Meets Tom Sawyer.

• Brer Bear guest starred with Brer Fox in Pooh's Adventures of Home on the Range, and Winnie the Pooh Meets The Fox and the Hound.
• Brer Bear will guest star again in Pooh's Adventures of Winx Club Season 2, Pooh's Adventures of BraveStarr: The Legend (and its TV Series), Winnie the Pooh in Fantasmic! (Tokyo Disney Sea) and Winnie the Pooh in The Adventures of the American Rabbit.
• Brer Bear will make his first guest appearance in a Winx Club crossover film to get revenge on Bloom and her friends in Bloom's Adventures of Sleeping Beauty, where he and Brer Fox will team up with Icy, Darcy, and Stormy to work for Maleficent.
• Brer Bear will encounter Pooh and pals again in Pooh's Adventures of Song of the South.
• Brer Bear returned in Winnie the Pooh vs The Mummy.
