Buneary is a Normal-type Pokemon. In the anime, Dawn obtained a Buneary and uses it in Pokemon Contests. It also has a crush on Pikachu.

- Azusa Nakano owns a Buneary nicknamed "Lola" which she caught after rescuing it from Team Rocket. She evolved into Lopunny.
- Alix Kubdel owns a Buneary, which she later evolved into a Lopunny in her defense, during a battle against Chloé Bourgeois.
