- In the anime, Chansey is mostly seen with Nurse Joy helping other Pokemon get better and recover from their wounds. Brock also owns a Chansey which evolved from a Happiny.
- Mio Akiyama owns a Chansey nicknamed Lucky after it evolved from a Happiny (prior to Ryan F-Freeman's Adventures of Pokemon). In the Johto Region, (in both Liam's and Ryan's version) Chansey eventually evolved into Blissey.
