Chiro is an average teenage boy, with no confirmed age, but has a birthday in episode ten of season 1. His last name is never seen or revealed. His hair is black and his eyes are blue. He is initially hesitant in accepting his role as leader of the Hyperforce, but gradually comes to accept his destiny of becoming a defender of Shuggazoom and later the universe. He pilots Torso Tank Driver 1, which forms the torso and limbs of the Super Robot. His girlfriend is Jinmay and the pair remain together throughout the series. Chiro's powers come from the Power Primate entity inside him. In the final scenes of Season 4, Chiro leads the Monkey Team and their allies against the army of the Skeleton King.
