Touya Todoroki or better known by his villain name, Dabi is a major antagonist in the manga/anime series My Hero Academia. He is affiliated with the League of Villains and the leader of the organization's Vanguard Action Squad until he joined the Paranormal Liberation Front. He is voiced by Jason Liebrecht.
Apperance[]
Dabi is a tall, slender 24-year-old young man with spiky black hair and blue eyes. His most noticeable features include a set of burnt, purple, scarred skin that are present underneath both his eyes (which cannot cry due to his tear ducts being burned up), on his ears and below his jawline all the way down to his collarbone, as well on his torso and all the way down both of his arms, and on his legs as well. These scars are attached to the remainders of his skin with metallic staple piercings.
His outfits seem to vary from time to time. In his initial debut, he had more of a rough and baggy appearance, wearing a loose belt, a torn jacket and pants that barely reach to his ankles. In later appearances, he seems to wear a slightly different jacket that appears to be stitched together with coattails and rolled up sleeves. He also wears boots now and baggier pants.
Around the time of the formation of the Paranormal Liberation Front, Dabi acquires a new outfit to complete his status as one of the nine lieutenants of the organization. Dabi wears a darkish blue long coat with the same white cuffs similar to his previous one. In addition, he dons a white V-necked shirt with white outlines. His stitches not only extend to his shoulder pads but also the kneecaps of his pants. The only things he retains are his silver belt, black boots, and his dark-colored pants. He also has three buttons on both sides of his coat.
As Phantom Blaze, his apperance stays the same except his outfit is black and green with two black and green gauntlets, black and green kneepads, a black and green mask, and knives on his sides. As Scarlet Phantom Blaze, his outfit is the same as his Phantom Blaze apperance, but everything is red and purple. As Firejackal, he has a pair of black and white jackal ears along with a with a black and white tail, a black and white outfit, and black and white gauntlets. As shown in Killer Plume (MHA) (Miraculous Days Part 2), he requests his akumatized villain outfit to be his scarlet (or in that episode case's rubellite) akumatization outfit due to him not liking his normal Phantom Blaze outfit. As Blue Blaze, his outfit stays the same. As a knight, he wears dark blue knight armor. As Darkfire, he wears the same outfit like his normal self, but it is all black with black long sleeves on his coat and black gloves with claws on the tips of his fingers. Instead of a mask, he has black makeup that covers the areas near his eyes. As Betraitor, his outfit is purple with a spike collar and spike wristbands.
Personality[]
Dabi is a rude and argumentative person who has no sense of respect. Neverless he is a calm-minded person, who is always focused and determined to complete his given tasks. Underneath his calm-minded personality, he is actually a pyschopath who is willing to get rid of his family and anyone who stands in his way just to see Endeavor suffer. He is also shown to be very sadistic and cold towards many heroes. He is also shown to be a very bad liar, due to the fact that Experiment 032 (aka Fibber) constantly buzzed on him, which lead to his downfall and some of his minions betraying him.
Powers and Abilites[]
Quirk[]
- Cremation: Cremation allows Dabi to control and manipulate extremely hot blue flames, which are able to set forests ablaze and can burn large groups of people to a crisp. He can also use his flames to propel himself upwards and hover in the air. Dabi's Quirk is said to allow him to produce flames even stronger than Endeavor's. His flames are powered by his emotions, seemingly his rage, so the greater his anger, the hotter his flames are.
Abilities[]
- Keen Intellect: While not very strategic, Dabi is very observant to everything around him. With just a glance, he easily identified Tomura's instability and effortlessly saw through Aizawa's stoic nature, even knowing that Hawks was a traitor from the moment he met him. Had it not been for Twice stopping him, he would have found and killed Aoyama. Later he identified Snatch’s quirk, and understood it’s limits.
- Enhanced Stamina: In spite of his disheveled body and Quirk drawbacks, Dabi is fairly effective at enduring battles wherein heavy injures are eminent. Most notably, when his own flames begin to eat away at his body from overuse, Dabi continues to battle and use his volatile Quirk, ignoring the probable self-cremation he could face.
- Cold Resistance: Dabi is resistant to extreme cold or ice-based attacks, a trait he inherited from his mother. This gave Dabi an advantage during his fight with Geten.
Weaknesses[]
Despite his Quirk's power, Dabi's flames begin to eat away at him and burn his body should he use them for too long, which prevents him from fighting prolonged battles. To counter this, Dabi tends to rattle his opponents and engage in psychological warfare in order to buy himself time to cool down. He is also capable of saving firepower for more devastating attacks.
Super Moves[]
Cannon[]
- Flashfire Fist
- Jet Burn
- Prominence Burn
Fanmade[]
- Dragon Breath: Using his quirk, he can shoot flames out of his mouth like a dragon. This was first used in the Tabby's Pokémon Journey episode: Meet Little Miss Sunshine!.
- Spiritflamtion: Similar to Tabby Darklight's Spiritation Quirk, he can create a fire spirit version of himself in order to cause more chaos or to scare people.
As Phantom Blaze[]
- His powers are boosted by 50%, plus he gains the skills of a ninja.
As Blue Blaze[]
- His powers are boosted by 100% and his giantification quirk is activated the entire time when he is in his Blue Blaze form.
As Firejackal[]
- He is able to create replicas of anyone he wants.
As Darkfire[]
- He is capable of creating hellfires at will, and whoever is engulfed in it is killed instantly. His stamina, speed, and abilites are increased by 50%. He also gains the abilites of a ninja making it harder for him to be defeated.
As Betraitor[]
As Dark Moth[]
- He is able to akumatize anyone he wants.

Trivia[]
- He serves as the central antagonist of Tabby's Adventure Series and The Tabbic Forces' Adventure Chronicles but he is later shown to be the bigger bad in A Firey Twist (TTFAC).
- However, it is foreshadowed many times in Tabby's Adventure Series and The Tabbic Forces' Adventure Chronicles such as him constantly shoving Takehito out of the way so he can do something that he wants to do rather than following Takehito's orders.
- It also foreshadowed with the amount of times that Dabi is seen which he is seen in almost every episode where as Takehito is not seen often.
- He will face Tabby Darklight in Tabby's Pokémon Journey and many other projects.
- In Tabby's Adventure Series, he is slightly more powerful thanks to Dr. Zomboss giving him a bit of Takehito's Giantification Quirk along with Takehito's Bloodcurdle Quirk. Plus he is immortal thanks to Takehito giving him immortality. He is also very smart when it comes to thinking of plans for getting rid of Tabby and his friends along with anyone who stands in his way of ruling the Tabbyverse. Plus, he is shown to have a Hot-headed temper whenever he gets mad.
- His true secret was revealed by Tattletell when Liam commanded her to reveal his secret. Dabi revealed that he was Touya Todoroki, the eldest son in the Todoroki Family. He later revealed why he wanted revenge.
- Dabi is the fourth character to have released a Fire type starter, the first being Damian, second being Paul, and the third being Shamus. Unlike this release, it was the Pokemon who abandoned him and not the Trainer. Cinderace later crushed his Pokeball, officially releasing the Striker Pokemon, the first to do so was Jessie from Team Rocket who released her Dustox the same way, and the second was Grookey releasing itself by breaking its Pokeball from Team Rocket's ownership before joining Goh.
- He has abandoned more Pokemon than Paul did with a total of eight named Pokémon and many unknown Pokémon.
- As shown in Malamar Mayhem, Dabi is revealed to have a soft side, as he deeply cared for Midnight a lot, this surprised the group, even Agent Ben and Tabby Darklight which they thought that Dabi was always cruel to everyone. Although he has nearly came close to sheding his care for Midnight at times, but he still does care for him. However, it is revealed A Firey Twist (TTFAC) that Dabi doesn't care for him and was only using him for his own goals.
- He is later cursed by Foiletta in A Firey Twist (TTFAC). He tried to kill Liam, Tabby and his friends but utterly failed due to the effects of Foiletta's curse which was worsening, and his powers were completely kaput, as a result, he was taken away by Tomura Shigaraki in order to get healed from the curse that Foiletta placed on him. The curse was so powerful that even Tomura can't even heal it and both Midnight and Slice had had enough of him trying to kill more people, Dabi tried to kill them too, but the two Pokemon were saved by Hawks and Tabby, they were both abandoned as the two were both fed up with him, and were released by Tabby. He was later banished from the Pokemon World by Arceus itself, and he along with his other villains were blasted by its Judgement attack back into their own world and was permanently banned from that world as Foiletta requested that. As it turns out, Dabi still had some more Pokemon under his possession being Flare, Tomura, and a few others despite his banishment and banned from the Pokemon World.
- He first appeared in the movie in Liam's Adventures of Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us. He will later return to get revenge in Liam's Adventures of Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle, only to be defeated by Juleka's Gothitelle who used a Z-Move, defeating his Marshadow after Incineroar and Mightyena were defeated earlier, and tried to attack himself but was stopped by its Psychic attack, to prevent him from moving, unable to free himself from Gothitelle's Psychic, Dabi was soon arrested along with his other Pokemon for his crimes.
- He has murdered numerous people including Takehito "Goto" Himura, Hunter J, Rico,, Volo, and many others.
- He had lied numerous times, after Fibber constantly buzzed on him, which lead to some betrayals in doing so. This also caused a lot of his potential recruits from the Pokémon world to either betray him or they would fear him thanks to Fibber forcing Dabi to reveal his true intentions. It also caused Flect Turn to know about it as well.
- In Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us, he tried to badly hurt Nodoka Miyazaki after he followed Tabby to the campsite, Negi was about to use magic to stop him but Asuna Kagurazaka and Chamo wouldn't let him since that would expose him as a wizard, leaving Negi and her friends powerless that they can't save Nodoka without magic. However, his plan was foiled by Nodoka's Kirlia who evolved into a Gardevoir and repelled back by the glow from its evolution, he was defeated by Nodoka's Gardevoir thanks to Mega Evolution, but fled soon after stating that he would be back with company.
- In Season 5, After Dark Moth akumatized Liam's friends, which is the miraculous form of Dabi. As karma, he meets his downfall by the hands of Swiper, which was planned out by Master Bug, Kuronyan and Dora, as he had swiped his Miraculouses and hid it in Liam' s yo-yo, he also swiped his Miracle Box. Thanks to Swiper, his former akumatizations turned against Dabi who had no longer possessed the Peacock or the Butterfly due to Swiper swiping it and hid it in Master Bug's yo-yo. Dabi got struck by Traumio's traumatic ray and left him traumatized for a while, giving Master Bug time to give Tabby the Butterfly and the Peacock Miraculous to use for the greater good. This allowed Tabby to transform into his new form, due to this, all of the akumatized forms turned into Tenshified forms. He summoned his minions for a final showdown but he and his minions were eventually defeated which Dabi then told his team to retreat and vowed to get his miracle box back.
- However, prior to his downfall and prior to the events of Marinette's Miraculouses being stolen by Felix whom he gave to Hawk Moth to become Monarch, it irked him to say this to Tabby and his allies but it was revealed that he needed their help.
- In The Firey Fiend of Tabbic City, he disguises himself as The Firey Demon in order to scare off Tabby and Hawks from Tabbic City so that way he can continue attacking the city without them standing in his way.
- He met his ultimate end in Rise of The Nightmare Nine at the hands of King Tempest until he was revived in Bringing Back a Legend.
- He later returns in The Dragon vs. The Jyamashin and becomes a member of The Jyamato Warriors as he trains Michinaga to become a more powerful villain than Blood Voltage.
