The Dark Star, later known as Dark Bowser is the overarching antagonist of the 2009 Nintendo video game Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. It is an ancient artifact of terrible power that was sealed away beneath Toad Town. After it was reawakened by Fawful, it absorbs Bowser's DNA and transforms into Dark Bowser.
