Doctor N. Gin (N. Gin for short) is an insane cyborg lackey who stands in for giving assistance to Doctor Neo Cortex when he starts, replacing Doctor Nitrus Brio after the events of Crash Bandicoot as his right-hand man. As of Crash: Mind over Mutant, he has been replaced (without his knowledge) by the very person he succeeded. He is considered to be one of Cortex's most loyal henchmen, often commiting to whatever heinous task Cortex commands him to do. It is implied in Crash of the Titans and Crash: Mind over Mutant that he has a crush on Coco Bandicoot.

- Doctor N. Gin is voiced by Brendan O' Brien, Corey Burton and Nolan North.
- In the earlier Crash Bandicoot games, N. Gin is shown to have tan colored skin with bright orange hair. However, later in the series, he became almost zombie-like in terms of not only a black and white color scheme, but also movement, and personality. This has been completely undone as of 2019, though, as Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled features N. Gin in his classic design, and with his original personality and character traits.
