Elmyra Duff is one of the two main antagonists in Tiny Toon Adventures (alongside Montana Max) and one of the three main protagonists in Pinky, Elmyra & the Brain.
She is a sweet and affectionate 12-year-old girl with orange hair, long eyelashes and wears a light blue short puffy-sleeved blouse with frilly white cuffs and a collar, a light blue bow with a tiny animal's skull, a white knee-length pleated skirt, a matching training bra, white ankle-length socks and black strapped Mary Jane shoes. Despite her being an unintentional villain, she actually had her episodes where she was the hero. She is obsessed with pets, and can be so loving to them that it hurts them. But there are times where she does demonstrate proper pet care.
Biography[]
She is an unintentional villain in the fact her crazed affection for animals leads her to capture them to keep as pets (often against their will), as he has no clue how to look after them and as such often causes them more suffering than good.
Her mentor at Acme Looniversity is Elmer Fudd and she is in many ways a female version of him, though she hunts animals down out of misplaced affection rather than for sport. Elmyra also has manic affection for the other villain in Tiny Toon Adventures known as Montana Max.
Though for some reason when Elmyra became a character in Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain she lost her apparent love for Montana Max (though by this time she had also apparently lost most of her connections with the Tiny Toons crew and was raising Pinky and the Brain as pets).
Although Elmyra is usually a recurring villain, in the "Can't Buy Me Love" segment of "Fox Trot", she is the main protagonist.
Appearance[]
Elmyra is a twelve year old girl with fair skin, short orange hair in a reverse bob and wears a light blue short puffy-sleeved blouse with frilly white cuffs and collar, a matching hairbow with a skull, a white pleated knee-length skirt, frilly light blue, pink or white panties, a matching training bra, white ankle-length socks and black strapped Mary Jane shoes.
Personality[]
In most of her incarnations, Elmyra is a simple-minded child, who hurts animals due to not knowing her own strength and not through direct malice. As The Baroness in Toonenstein though she is re-imagined in a much darker, cunning and intentionally sadistic manner.
Heroic Acts[]
- In an episode when she was locked in a mall, she had Arnold the Pit Bull who was a security dog on a leash and had him running when she made him see the dress that she put on him. The leash tied up two cat burglars, and made them fall when Arnold couldn't sustain the weight. The next day, Elmyra was celebrated as a hero for capturing the cat burglars, and the manager of the mall rewarded her by taking anything of her choice. She chose Arnold, and took him home on a stroller.
- She had an episode where she enforced a rule that an animal cannot eat another animal and that she would kick them out if they tried.
- In the episode, Can't Buy Me Love, she refused to give up Furrball to Rhoda Queen after all the abuse she has put her through and said she'd rather lose a friend than give up her Furrball-head.
- She was kidnapped by Arthur Jabba in an episode for ransom of her father's secret formula. While kidnapped, she drove his goons crazy with her TV show to the point where they confessed everything to the police.
Trivia[]
- In a promo of Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain for Cartoon Network, she holds the Brain tightly so he does not escape from her anger and she starts using the clock to hit his head.
- Her animal cruelty is similar to Darla Dimple's from Cats Don't Dance, except it is unintentional where as Darla's is intentional.
- When the revival series Tiny Toons Looniversity will be come out, Elmyra won't return in this new series.
