Story[]
As Ralts[]
She met Ryan as a wild Pokémon. Seeing that she likes him, he noticed that she is
She even remains a Ralts for some time as Nodoka revealed that the reason why Emily hasn't evolved yet was because she revealed that she unintentionally grabbed one of Ryan's Everstones and was unsure if she was ready to evolve yet. Instead, she learned Thunderbolt.
In the episode The Bonds of Evolution!, when she learned that Gardevoir can Mega Evolve, she trained herself so she can train up to that goal.
In the same episode, Nodoka leaves her Ralts to train with Ryan, as she thought it was the best thing for her, and she had a lot to learn. Her trainer, Nodoka decided to come with her and tells her that she can let Ryan train her to become stronger like Diantha's Gardevoir and telling her that she will be her friend after Ryan quoted a line from Toy Story "No one is getting replaced". She is given the nickname "Emily" by Ryan because it is for a protective friend.
As Kirlia[]
In The Bonds of Evolution! (RAoP:XY) After some words of encouragement by Ryan, Meg and then Nodoka and her Alakazam, Emily finally evolves into Kirlia, thanks to Ryan's training but before she fully evolves she tells Ryan as a Ralts that she is thankful to him. And tells Nodoka that even if she evolve, she is the same Ralts in her heart.
In The Right Hero for the Right Job! (RAoP:XYZ), Emily tried to protect Ryan, Meg and their friends from an attack with Kath. She felt tired of using her move and Nodoka takes her somewhere to rest. Later, Nodoka's bond with Emily allowed her to use her powers to protect Liam and Nodoka from Team Flare's attack. After Team Flare's defeat, she is helped by Ryan to rest. With Nodoka and Ryan nursing Emily, she regained her strength and touched by their kindness, Emily gathered enough energy to evolve into Gardevoir.
As Gardevoir[]
After evolving, Emily demonstrated her new move, Moonblast. Ryan knew that Emily was storing energy so she could evolve, because he trained her when Nodoka wasn't looking. As shown in Forming a More Perfect Union (RAoP:XYZ), Nodoka and Emily assisted Ryan and Liam by Mega Evolving, and was shown to have learned Hyper Voice.
In Keeping Your Eyes on the Ball!, she was seen joining in the dance as well as Lana's Brionne's singing, as Ryan's, Meg's, Miki's, Nicole's, Liam's, Negi's students' and the Light Music Club's Pokemon started joining the singing.
In PJ090, Emily got forced to devolve into Kirlia, and then devolved again into Ralts, due to Dialga and Palkia's fighting, Nodoka Miyazaki later deaged and Emily turned into an Egg. After the duo had calmed down, She was reborn again.

- She has a Timid nature and her characteristic is "Highly curious".
- Her ability is Synchronize as Ralts/Kirlia/Gardevoir, and Pixilate as Mega Gardevoir.
- Up to this point, she is by far the longest Pokémon to evolve into its middle stage, spending over 1,000 episodes as Ralts, and an unknown number of episodes as Kirlia.
- Before evolving into a Kirlia and later Gardevoir, she decided to nickname her "Emily" as in a protective partner.
