Ernie is a main character on Sesame Street. He is an orange person with a red nose and a red and blue striped sweater. His first Sesame Street series began with an even deeper voice, larger eyes, and yellow and purple stripes on his sweater. Ernie is very playful and friendly, and sometimes teases his best friend Bert, but he can do a lot of things, such as playing with his rubber duckie, and rock hunting.
