Forretress is a Bug/Steel-type Pokemon evolved from a Pineco. In the anime, Brock's Pineco evolved into a Forretress in order to protect Pokemon in the hot springs from Team Rocket. Since then, it traveled with its trainer throughout Johto and came back in Hoenn to help Brock save Ash Ketchum, May, Pikachu, and Max from a flock of angry Taillow.
