Iris is one of Ash's friends. Her goal is to become the world's greatest Dragon Master. As of Pokémon Journeys, Iris is revealed to have become the Unova Champion some time prior to "Thrash of the Titans!"

- In the English dub, she was originally voiced by Eileen Stevens and is now currently voiced by Anairis Quiñones in the anime. While in the games, she is voiced by Cherami Leigh in Pokemon Generations, and voiced by Cassandra Lee Morris in Pokemon Masters.
- In the Japanese dub of the anime, she is voiced by Aoi Yuki.
- Iris will make a cameo appearance where she will sing the Star-Spangled Banner in Pooh and Ash's Adventures of An Extremely Goofy Movie.
- She was once akumatized by Hawk Moth in Liam's Adventures of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir into ???.
- She will meet Ryan and his team in Ryan's Adventures of Pokémon: Black & White.
