Trader Johann is the secondary antagonist of the How To Train Your Dragon franchise.

He is the main antagonist of the DreamWorks Dragons TV series, appearing as a recurring character in Dragons: Riders of Berk, Dragons: Defenders of Berk and its video game Dragons: Rise of Berk, the main antagonist of Dragons: Race to the Edge appearing as the overarching antagonist of the first and five seasons and the main antagonist of the sixth and final season and a posthumous antagonist in How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World.

Biography

He was a seafaring trader who visits the Isle of Berk from time to time, offering goods to barter for. However, in Dragons: Race to the Edge, he was revealed to be the true leader of the Dragon Hunters, having secretly been working against the Dragon Riders by pretending to be their ally for years.
