Kaa often shows affection for his young trainer by wrapping her up in his coils. He saw a nervous Ben who had his legs shaking in fear, Miki told him that he has a bad case of ophidiophobia (a fear of snakes). Ben revealed he gained his fear of snakes when he was a little boy.

Kaa wraps Miki up in his coils as his own affectionate way. Sometimes, it is to keep her warm, especially since Miki is sensitive to extreme cold. Miki snuggles in his warm and comfy coils.
Kaa will especially protect Miki from any kind of danger or the cold, by wrapping her small fragile body securely in his coils.
