Karai (Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

Hamato Karai is the overaching protagonist of Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. She is the founder of the Hamato Clan as well as the daughter of the leader of the Foot Clan, Oroku Saki, till his soul got consumed by the sentient cursed armor the Kuroi Yōroi who possessed his body to become its host and become known as The Shredder.

She was voiced by Gwendoline Yeo, who also voiced Shinigami in the 2012 TV series.

• Unlike her 2003 series, 2012 series, counterparts this version of the character is an actual heroine instead starting off from an anti-villainess to an eventual anti-heroine.
