This Electivire is one of Liam's Pokemon he owns, and is also his first Pokemon that hatched from an Egg.
Story[]
As its egg[]
Liam recieved its egg in Pallet Party Panic by Professor Oak as he had some trouble hatching it. Liam looked after the egg before eventually hatching into an Elekid in The Lost Lapras.
With Liam[]
As Elekid[]
Upon hatching in The Lost Lapras, Elekid instantly took an interest in Liam due to being the one who hatched him, Liam showed him the outside world since it recently hatched. He was later shocked with the others when Tracey decided to join their group. Elekid gave Liam his Pokeball so it can return to its ball.
He was later seen in Fit to Be Tide where it almost fell overboard. In Pikachu Re-Volts, he was one of the Pokemon who fell victim to Drowzee's spell and turned against its Trainer, but later returned to normal after Cassidy and Butch were defeated.
In Bye Bye Psyduck, he was later seen playing with Miki's Pichu. He was used as part of the sledding race against Danny in Navel Maneuvers to earn the Sea Ruby Badge.
In A Way Off Day Off, Yui accidentally hugged him instead of Azusa, causing him to promptly shock her with Thunderbolt, paralyzing her, though he apologized afterwards.
He was used in Hello, Pummelo! in its battle against Drake but was shown to have been defeated due to being a baby, he was brought to Johto in Don't Touch That 'dile.
He reveals that his dream is to evolve into Electabuzz someday, as shown in The Double Trouble Header, Casey gushed over him after Liam showed her that he had an Elekid.
He later teamed up with Casey and her baseball bat, he was shown to have learned Brick Break, but Ben and Casey stopped him from using it due to it may break some of the baseballs if it did that, Casey suggested to swat some of the baseballs made by Team Rocket by swinging with his arms, which he agreed to do. He then blasted Team Rocket with his newly learned Brick Break.
He made his first gym battle debut against Whitney in A Goldenrod Opportunity where he battled about Wigglytuff and won by overpowering its Ice Punch with its Thunder Punch attack. He stayed in against Bibarel, but despite putting up a good fight, he was defeated by Bibarel's Dig, but not before paralyzing it with its Static Ability.
In Current Events!, Liam brought Elekid with him alongside Azusa who brought Snowbelle, he guided everyone to escape where he met its evolved form, Electabuzz, but it attacked them. He got trapped in a cage along with Liam, Azusa, Ace and their Pokemon, he tried to break the cage with Fire Punch but to no avail.
He assisted Liam and Azusa to help them with their guitar lessons in Turning Over A New Bayleef!
He was present in The Mystery is History!, and he tried to fight Cassidy and Butch, but lost after Hitmontop's Rapid Spin knocked him out. He was seen captured along with Sparky and Ash's Pikachu by Nanba in A Parent Trapped!.
In A Promise is a Promise!, Elekid then had a rematch against Hitmontop who was powered up, but took too much damage that he got severely hurt, but Liam saw that he was not done yet, he then encouraged Elekid to get back up and fight til the bitter end, this motivated him so much that he evolved into Electabuzz.
As Electabuzz[]
In Here's Lookin' at You Elekid!, He was sent out to reintroduce himself to Casey, to which Casey confirmed that his Elekid had evolved since the last time she saw him and was now named "Strike" thanks to Casey's idea for Liam. Electabuzz reminded her that his baseball swinging abilities had improved since its evolution, where he performed an Iron Tail to swing the baseball to allow Xatu to use Psychic to soften the baseball's landing to allow Casey to catch it, impressing Casey how well that his Electabuzz had grown since evolving.
He was used in Love, Pokémon Style! as Liam's final Pokemon against Jason and his Mothim, Strike utilized his baseball strategy by deflecting any projectile attacks with Iron Tail which he learned from Casey during its time as an Elekid. Thanks to this new baseball strategy he learned, he defeated Mothim with a powerful super effective Thunder Punch, winning the match for Liam.
By Gotta Catch Ya Later, Liam left Strike along with everyone else at Oak's Lab, so that he can make a fresh start for Hoenn, with the exception for his Xatu who stayed by Liam's side.
He was later brought to his team for Sinnoh in Home is Where the Start Is! where Liam was planning to evolve it after seeing Gary's Electivire.
In Throwing the Track Switch!, he was temporarily traded to Azusa while still holding the Electrizer, and evolved into Electivire. He refused to tell them what he and Azusa traded.

Personality and characteristics[]
When Strike was an egg after hatching into Elekid. He was just a newbie when he first came to Orange Islands and Liam hardly ever used him in any of his gym battles at all, he finally made his Gym battle debut against Whitney, despite being newborn and during his time with Liam and Azusa whom he knew about the Liazu couple, he is shown to be a strong battler despite being a baby Pokemon. Strike often hangs around with Pikachu as they were both Electric types, before Larvitar evolved, he had a strong bond with him even after Larvitar evolved into Pupitar. In The Mystery is History!, it is shown that Strike gets angry when someone calls him a little kid, his temper was shown when Guru refused to take orders from him and only listens to Liam.
After it evolved into Electabuzz, it lost all its baby traits and matured a lot since its evolution. However, he is also shown to get angry when it sees the color red. Despite being angry about the color, he doesn't get angry at other red things like Pokemon and humans wearing red, just his vision when he sees red. Electabuzz loves to battle much like its Trainer does, as shown in Love, Pokémon Style!.
He was brought to Sinnoh, and evolved into Electivire after a temporary trade while holding the Electrizer. Since his evolution, Electivire had grown into a fierce strong battler, and is shown that he hates to lose, much like Liam's Typhlosion, he's very determined and is willing to take hits that he thinks he can take, as shown to have absorbed the power of Wake's Floatzel who had used Aqua Jet.
