Opening/Littlefoot, Ash and friends meeting Big Mama[]
(Gunshot was heard twice which startles the heroes. Big Mama was shocked upon seeing this. Littlefoot sees a baby fox and walks up to see it.)
Littlefoot: Hey, guys, you better come here quick.
(The other heroes come up to see a baby fox.)
Patrick Star: Hey, what's that little red furry thing?
Misty: Why it's a baby fox.
Patrick Star: I'll take care of this! (about to step on the baby fox)
SpongeBob SquarePants: No, Patrick! It's totally helpless!
Brock: Yeah, you pink brainless, doofus! Don't step on it! It's just a defenseless, little, baby fox, for Pete's sake!
Patrick Star: (now feels remorseful upon seeing how scared the little fox is and lowers his foot) Sorry.... 'Guess I got a litte carried away.
Cera: (sarcastically) Sure you did, Patrick.
Velma Dinkley: So, what's a baby fox like this one doing out here by itself?
Daphne Blake: And where's its mother?
Shaggy Rogers: Like, I don't know.
(Big Mama flies down.)
Big Mama: I'm afraid his mother had been shot.
(The heroes turn to see her.)
Littlefoot: Huh? Who are you?
Big Mama: Don't be afraid, honey. I mean you and your friends no harm.
(The heroes sigh with relief.)
Ash Ketchum: How did you know about his mother?
Big Mama: I saw everything. By the way, my name is Big Mama and what are your names?
Littlefoot: My name is Littlefoot.
Ash Ketchum: I'm Ash Ketchum and this is my partner Pikachu.
Pikachu: Pikachu.
Ash Ketchum: The rest of them are all our friends.
Heroes: Hello.
Big Mama: Well, pleased to meet all of you.
Scooby-Doo: Likewise.
(Ash tries to pet the baby fox, but fails when it flings out of fright.)
Ash Ketchum: (gently) Hey, don't be scared, little guy. We're good guys.
Big Mama: You poor little fella. It's all right. Big Mama and your new friends are here.
Bagheera: He won't remember that his mother got shot once he grows up.
Baloo: Poor little guy, he must be so scared.
Shaggy Rogers: Like, that poor little needs some caring.
Big Mama: You know something? You're right, Shaggy. He needs um...
(A little baby fox affectionately nestles Big Mama.)
Big Mama: (chuckles) Oh, no. No, no, no. Not me. Not Big Mama now.
Princess Eilonwy: Then, who will take care of the baby fox, Big Mama.
Big Mama: Patience, darling. Now, I'm thinking now.
(Just then, Big Mama, the heroes and the baby fox hear the woodpecking sound.)
Big Mama: Oh, ah-ha! Now, don't you move, honey.
Ash Ketchum: We'll stay here and watch over the baby fox.
Big Mama: Very good, Ash and Big Mama's gonna right back.
Shaggy Rogers: Like, don't worry, little guy. Big Mama will be right back with back up.
Boomer: Oh, poor little guy.
Littlefoot: Uh-huh, that's why we need your help.
Bagheera: Yes, the little baby fox is orphaned.
Boomer: Say, what's this little yellow fella?
Dinky: Yeah, what's this little guy's name?
(They're about to touch Pikachu's cheeks and Ash stopped them.)
Ash Ketchum: Careful, guys. Pikachu's got 100,000 volts of electricity stored in his cheeks.
Boomer: Oh, sorry, Ash.
Dinky: Thanks for the warning, Ash. By the way, where you from?
Ash Ketchum: I'm from Pallet Town.
Littlefoot: And, Cera, Ducky, Petrie, Spike and I are from The Great Valley.
Bugs Bunny: Daffy and I are from Looney Tune Land.
Widow Tweed takes care of Tod[]
Ash Ketchum: What did you have in mind?
Big Mama: (chuckles) Just watch, Ash.
Dinky: Yeah, you'll see. Hey, Boomer, you know what to do.
Boomer: Yeah, leave it to me! Leave it to me, kids!
(Boomer flies over to the door and pecks on it.)
Widow Tweed: Who is it? (opens the door) Hmm, well I was sure I heard someone knocking. (gasps upon seeing Big Mama and Dinky holding one of her clothes) Oh, dear! My laundry! Oh, here, stop it! Oh, you pesky birds! Will you come back here?! Oh, stop! (Big Mama and Dinky dropped the bloomers onto the baby fox) Well, I wonder what got into those birds? (sees the fox and felt surprised) Well, bless my soul! Why, it's-it's a baby fox. Oh, hello, little fella. I wonder where it's mother is?
Ash Ketchum: Uh, pardon us, ma'am. We found this little baby fox and we heard his mother had been shot.
Misty: Yeah, without a mother's care he would soon perish.
Widow Tweed: Oh, dear, me. Leave it to me, children. Come on, now. I'm not going to harm you.
(The scared baby fox swats his paws at her.)
Brock: He looks kinda scared.
Widow Tweed: Oh, isn't that-- (picks up the fox) Oh, my, my, you're a feisty little rascal, aren't you? There, there, now, calm down. You know I can't just leave you out here all alone. (to heroes) Why don't you darlings come in with me?
Bugs Bunny: Why thank you, ma'am. That's very kind of you.
(The scene changes where the fox drinks his milk from the bottle.)
Widow Tweed: Now, not so fast. Now, no, not so fast. (the fox gets hiccups)
Shaggy Rogers: Like, you'll give yourself a belly ache if you drink too fast.
Littlefoot: We forgot; my name is Littlefoot.
Ash Ketchum: My name is Ash Ketchum and these all are our friends. What's yours, ma'am?
Widow Tweed: I'm Mrs. Tweed. I'm very pleased to meet you to all
Bugs Bunny: Likewise, Mrs. Tweed.
Widow Tweed: You darlings made my day.
Daffy Duck: We have?
Widow Tweed: Mmm-hmm, I've lost my husband years ago.
(The heroes are saddened to hear this.)
Brock: We're so sorry to hear this, Mrs. Tweed.
Widow Tweed: Oh, that's all right, Brock.
Ducky: So, what are you going to name the fox?
Widow Tweed: Hmm, the baby fox is a little toddler. Tod.
Heroes: Tod?
Widow Tweed: Mmm-hmm. That's what I'm going to call him. Tod. You know, everyone, I'm not going to be so lonesome anymore. (Pikachu nestles Mrs. Tweed's leg then chuckles) What's he doing, Ash?
Ash Ketchum: I think Pikachu wants to be your friend, Mrs. Tweed. But I must warn you Pikachu has 100,000 volts of electricity stored in his cheeks and he can be hostile towards anyone who crossed him or any of us.
Widow Tweed: I'll definitely treat him nicely. So, you're all welcome to stay with me at my place.
Heroes: Thank you, Mrs. Tweed.
(Big Mama, Dinky, Boomer watch them as they smile warmly. Suddenly, the doorbell rings.)
Mrs. Tweed: Oh, I wonder who that could be.
Misty: I'll get the door.
(Misty answers the door and it was Delia.)
Ash Ketchum: (surprised to see her) Mom?!
Pikachu: Chu!
Delia Ketchum: Hi, honey. (comes in)
Ash Ketchum: So, what brings you here, Mom?
Delia Ketchum: I came here to tell you that I was informed by the police on the telephone. They said there was a bunch of nasty poachers running around this area with horrible looking dogs. They appeared as if they were chasing a fox while also trespassing and destroying other people's property in the process. And according to the police, several residents said that some of their livestock were found dead this morning. They might have assumed that the poachers shot them while trying to hunt the fox.
Mrs. Tweed: Oh, my!
Grandma Longneck: Goodness gracious...
Eilonwy: Shooting livestock while hunting a fox? How awful! That's destroying people's property.
Delia Ketchum: That's what everyone was thinking, Eilonwy. I was originally coming here to visit a friend. But after receiving the phone call from the police about the poachers being on the run, I thought about you kids. Wondering if any of you were alright.
Ash Ketchum: It's okay, Mom. We're fine. Honestly, we are. Mom, this is Mrs. Tweed, she's a very kind woman and she likes kids.
Delia Ketchum: Nice to meet you, Mrs. Tweed. I'm Delia.
Widow Tweed: It's very nice to meet you too, Delia.
Chief meets Copper[]
(Just then, everyone hears a noise from outside.)
Heroes: Huh?
(They go to peak outside and see an old man driving his truck home next door. His hunting dog, an elderly Irish Wolfhound named Chief, is awakened from the truck's noise.)
Misty: Oh! Who is that old man living next door, Mrs. Tweed? Is he a certain friend of yours?
Widow Tweed: Hmm? Oh, that's just my grumpy neighbor, Amos Slade. He's a lonely mountain man who spent most of his days hunting for food and fur. He's hardly spoken to anybody because he doesn't have any friends. So, if I were you, kids, it's best if you don't interact with him at all.
Ash Ketchum: Why?
Widow Tweed: Because he doesn't want visitors. So, watch out for Amos.
Heroes: We will.
(Back next door, Amos is moving stuff around in the back of his truck. Chief stretches and yawns from his slumber.)
Amos Slade: (holds up a bag) I got a surprise for you, Chief, old boy. (laughs; Chief, becoming excited thinking it was treats, barks happily) Now, now, now, take it easy.
(Chief sniffs the bag to see what it is. The bag begins the move and something inside makes a yelping sound. Amos pulls out a small, hound puppy.)
Amos Slade: Well. How's this for a huntin' dog?
(Chief's excitement fades since his "surprise" wasn't what he'd expected.)
Amos Slade: He's just a little runt now, but he'll grow.
(The puppy affectionately licks Amos and is placed on the ground. Chief sniffs the puppy who responds by giving him a lick on the nose, much to the latter's chagrin. Chief gives Amos a disgusted look.)
Amos Slade: You may as well get used to him, Chief. (the puppy whines and paws on Chief's legs) He's for you to look after from now on. (heads into his house)
(Chief, a little grumpy, heads for his barrel. The puppy heads in with him. Chief is startled and backs out. The puppy prances out playfully. Chief bowls the puppy over. He tries to go back to sleep, but is distracted when the puppy walks underneath his head, falling asleep on one of his front paws. Chief looks around, a little embarrassed. He then places his head down beside the puppy. He half smiles then goes to sleep.)
Tod causes mischief in the barn[]
(The scene changes to inside the barn where Widow Tweed milks her cow Abigail. Then Tod comes and playfully swats Abigails tail which caused her to moo in annoyance.)
Widow Tweed: Tod, stop pestering Abigail. (chuckles) Abigail, you're going to have to be patient with Tod. He's one of the family now. (Tod barks) (chuckles) Oh, of course, now I know. (squirts milk into Tod's mouth) I declare I never will get my chores done.
(Tod curiously walks over to the hen and her baby chicks. The mother hen squawks in shock upon seeing Tod trying to touch one of her babies and chased him.)
Widow Tweed: Oh, mercy! Tod! Tod, stop it! Abigail! Abigail! (Abigail knocks down the pail of milk) Oh, no, there goes my milk! Oh, no! Easy, easy, Abigail! Steady, old girl, steady. There, there. (then she turned to glare at Tod furiously as he shamefully walks) (sternly) Tod, you come here! I said come here! (Tod reluctantly does so then she picks up Tod) Just, look what you've done!
Bagheera: What on earth is going on here?
Baloo: Yeah, what happened here?
Widow Tweed: Tod scared my cow Abigail and made her spilled my milk.
Bagheera: Tod, did you do this?
(Tod shook his head then looked at the spilled milk and smiled innocently at Widow.)
Widow Tweed: Now, don't try to butter me up. (Tod licks her face and she chuckles) Oh, Tod, I can't just stay angry with you. You little imp. Now, run along and play with Ash and Littlefoot, go on. And try to stay out of mischief!
(Tod goes outside the barn.)
Bagheera: Come along, Tod. You must leave Mrs. Tweed to her chores, she's really busy.
Tod: Okay, Bagheera. So, where's Littlefoot and Ash anyway?
Baloo: They're hanging out in Mrs. Tweed's yard.
Dinky and Boomer attempt to eat Squeaks[]
Tod: Hey, it's Dinky and Boomer. Maybe, they want to play.
Baloo: I don't know, Tod. They might be busy too.
Tod: Hi, fellas. Whatcha doing? Wanna play?
Dinky: (sternly, to Tod) Stay out of this, kid. This don't concern you.
(Tod goes to Littlefoot and Ash who are hanging out.)
Tod: (to Littlefoot and Ash) I guess they're not in the mood to play with me.
Littlefoot: No, they're too busy.
Ash Ketchum: Yeah, sometimes we're busy which means we don't have time to play.
Tod: But you guys aren't working or anything.
Ash Ketchum: No, Tod. We're in the mood to hang out with you.
Tod: What happened to you? Golly!
Littlefoot: Are you hurt, Boomer?
Boomer: Oh, shucks. I think I bent my beak.
Dinky: Now, see what you've done!
Ash Ketchum: Hey, what's going on here?
Dinky: Well, Ash, Boomer missed our target: which is the little worm, Squeaks! And it was all his fault!
Boomer: My fault?!
Dinky: Yeah, you cost us our breakfast!
Boomer: I cost us our breakfast?! It was your fault!
Dinky: What are you talking my fault?!
(Bagheera, Baloo, Littlefoot and Ash rolled their eyes upon listening to their argument while Squeaks on the other hand sighs in relief.)
Eilonwy: (upon listening the argument, she sighs in embarrassment and facepalms) Boys will be boys.
Misty: Tell me about it.
Bagheera: (groans) Good grief.
Baloo: We better not butt into their argument.
Bagheera: Mmm-hmm.
Tod: A worm for breakfast? Yuck! Blech!
Ash Ketchum: (chuckles) Oh, not for you, Tod. For Dinky and Boomer.
Tod: Oh. Right.
Littlefoot: Come on, guys. We better not bother Dinky and Boomer.
Ash Ketchum: Hey, I know. Why don't you play with us, Tod?
Tod: Gee, Ash, I would love to!
(Littlefoot, Ash and the other heroes play with Tod, then the camera pans to Amos' yard where Chief and Copper drink water then the scent catches Copper's attention and he started sniffing.)
Chief: Hey, there, Copper, whatcha sniffing at?
Copper: Something. I never smelled before, Chief.
Chief: Heh, let me see. (sniffs the air) Ah, shucks, that's easy. The master's just cooking grits and fatback you ought to know that.
Copper: (shakes his head) Mmm-mmm, that's not what I smell. I don't know Chief, it's something else.
Chief: (chuckles) Sonny, you got alot of learning to do about a sniffing and a smelling, heh. Hey, where you going?
Copper: I want to find out where that smell is
Chief: Okay, Copper, but the master ain't gonna like you wandering off.
Copper: I won't get lost, Chief. I can smell my way back.
Chief: Heh, can't tell these whippersnappers anything.
Tod, Littlefoot, Ash and friends meet Copper[]
(Tod and the heroes play with each other just then Copper arrived smelling their scent. Tod leans in and felt startled as he sees Copper's nose.)
Tod: Whatcha smelling?
Copper: I'm on the trail so.
Tod: Trail's what?
Copper: I don't know, yet. Why, it's you. (howling)
Tod: What do you do that for?
Copper: We're supposed to do that, when we find out we're tracking.
Tod: (runs over to a bush and calls out to our heroes) Hey, guys, come over here.
Ash Ketchum: Hmm?
Pikachu: Pi?
SpongeBob SquarePants: Well, who do we have here?
Roger Rabbit: Why it's a puppy.
Patrick Star: Hey, let me see him! (pushes SpongeBob and Misty aside) Aww, he's really cute!
Tod: I'm a fox. My name's Tod. What's your name, kid?
Copper: Mine's Copper. I'm a hound dog. (to heroes) What about you, guys, what are your names?
Littlefoot: My name is Littlefoot.
Ash Ketchum: My name is Ash Ketchum, and this is my partner Pikachu he's a mouse electric type Pokémon.
Pikachu: Pikachu.
Copper: Nice to meet you, guys. (climbs onto Ash's lap)
Ash Ketchum: (pets Copper) It's nice to meet you too, Copper.
(Copper playfully tugs Ash's shirt which caused him to laugh. Then, Copper playfully takes off Ash's hat, shakes his hat and throws it to the ground.)
Copper: I got your hat, Ash.
Ash Ketchum: (laughing) Oh, Copper!
Taran: Aww, hello there, little guy. (pets Copper)
Eilonwy: (giggles) Oh, aren't you just a darling? (pets Copper as he licks her hand)
Misty: Hey, Copper, have you played tug-a-war?
Copper: No, I haven't. Maybe we can play tag.
Misty: Sure, a game of tag.
Scooby-Doo; Tag, you're it! (taps Copper)
(Copper runs after them as they laugh joyfully.)
SpongeBob SquarePants: You gotta catch us first!
Copper: (taps Eilonwy) Gotcha!
Eilonwy: (giggles) You got me! Hmmm.... (slyly; taps Taran) Tag, you're it!
Taran: Wha-? Hey, no fair!
Eilonwy: (giggles) Try to catch us, Taran!
(The kids laugh as Taran run after them and play the game. Taran comes up with an idea. He hides behind the bushes and sees Copper wandering around.)
Taran: (playfully grabs Copper) Got you! (laughs as he gets licked by Copper)
Copper: My turn. (taps Ash) Tag, you're it!
Ash Ketchum: (laughing, running after him) I'm going to get you! (taps Copper) Gotcha!
(Copper licks Ash's face which caused him to laugh.)
Tod: Gee, I bet you be good at playing hide and seek. Wanna try, Copper?
Copper: Can I use my nose?
Tod: (giggles) Sure.
Ash Ketchum: Wow, I haven't played hide and seek since I was little.
Misty: Me neither.
Eilonwy: (sighs) Those are the good old childhood days.
SpongeBob SquarePants: I wanna play hide and seek too.
Scooby-Doo: Me too!
Tod: Okay, now, go ahead and close your eyes and count.
Copper: One, two, three. (peeking)
Iago: No, no, no, Copper, you can't peek like that.
Littlefoot: Yeah, silly. It doesn't work that way.
Copper: Oh.
Tod: Now, start again.
(Copper begins counting again while Tod and the kids among with Scooby and SpongeBob go to their hiding places as Big Mama, Bagheera and Baloo watch them play.)
The best of friends/Amos orders the heroes to stay away from Copper[]
Big Mama: My, my, look at that. A fox and the hound playing together with the children.
Baloo: Well, how about that, Baggy? Tod's found himself a playmate.
Bagheera: Yes, I've noticed.
(Copper sniffs around to find Tod until he finds him on top of a stump. Then, he sniffs to the tree.)
Ash Ketchum: (jumps from behind the tree) Boo! (laughing) Gotcha!
Copper: (laughing) You sure did, Ash.
(Copper finds the others from their hiding places. Big Mama began to sing as Copper, Tod and the kids play together.)
Big Mama: (singing) When you're the best of friends
Having so much fun together
You're not even aware, you're such a funny pair
You're the best of friends
Life's a happy game
You could clown around forever
Neither one of you sees, your natural boundaries
Life's one happy game
(Copper and Tod laugh joyfully along with the kids.)
Amos Slade: Copper! (whistles)
Ash Ketchum: (gasps) Uh-oh. It's Mrs. Tweed's cranky neighbor.
Copper: Gee, I gotta go.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Aww, already? But you just got here.
Copper: Sorry, guys, my master's waiting for me.
(Copper leaves)
Scooby-Doo: Hey, Tod, let's play some more.
Tod: Okay, I guess I'll see Copper tomorrow.
(Amos orders Copper to go into his barrel. Both the hunter and Chief glare at Copper with angry looks.)
Big Mama: (singing) If only the world wouldn't get in the way
If only people would just let you play
They say you're both being fools
You're breaking all the rules
They can't understand, the magic of your wonderland
(Littlefoot and Ash sigh sadly at Copper, feeling sorry for him. But suddenly, Amos, with a corn-cob pipe in his mouth, comes by, and looms over them, and gasps while Chief scares them by growling and barking angrily at them.)
Amos Slade: (growls and glares angrily at them, scaring them) You kids get off of my property!
Littlefoot: (scared) Uh-oh, we gotta get out of here!
(Our heroes run off next door, terrified.)
Amos Slade: Heh! Mangy little brats.... Sometimes whippersnappers like them don't know how to mind their place.
(Amos goes inside his house. The heroes pant as go into the barn.)
Shaggy Rogers: Like, sheesh, what a grumpy old man!
Scooby-Doo: Yeah, a grumpy old man.
Petrie: That old dog is really mean.
(The next day, Tod runs out to call for Copper.)
When you're the best of friends (Tod: Copper!)
Big Mama: (singing) Sharing all that you discover
When that moment has past, will that friendship last?
Who can say? There's a way!
(Copper, though happy to see Tod, tries to go to him, but doesn't want to wake Chief.)
Oh, I hope... I hope it never ends
Tod: Come on, Copper!
Big Mama: (singing) 'Cause you're the best of friends
(Copper tiptoes over Chief's rope and joyfully runs over to play with Tod.)
Tod: Copper, you're my very best friend.
Copper: And you're mine too, Tod.
Tod: And we'll always be best friends forever. Won't we?
Copper: Yeah, forever. (climbs onto Ash) Littlefoot, Ash, you guys are my friends too. (affectionately licking Ash's face)
Ash Ketchum: (laughing) You bet.
Littlefoot: We sure are, Copper.
SpongeBob SquarePants: What are we gonna do now, Tod?
Tod: Hey, let's go swimming.
Patrick: Oh, boy, swimming!
Copper: Give me a head start and I can beat ya!
Ducky: Hey, wait for us!
(Tod and Copper among with the heroes jump into the water and they splashed each other. Big Mama looks on smiling then, she exclaimed when a splash hits her. Back to Amos' house he and Chief are not happy since Copper wandered off again.)
Amos Slade: (frustrated) Dagnabbit! That Copper pup's gone straight off again. Come on, Chief. Ever that little rascal's gonna make me a good hunting dog, he's gonna learn to mind.
(As Copper and Tod have fun, Amos and Chief arrive.)
Littlefoot: Oh, no. Not him again.
Amos Slade: (whistles) Copper, get over here! (whistles; louder) COPPER!!
Copper: Uh-oh. I gotta go home.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Again?
Tod: Do you have to? We're having too much fun.
Copper: I gotta. He sounds awful mad.
Tod: We'll see you tomorrow and don't forget.
Copper: I won't! Bye, guys!
Heroes: Bye, Copper!
(As Tod and the heroes go back to Mrs. Tweed's house they run into Amos and Chief who angrily glared at the heroes. Tod quickly runs off. Chief growls angrily at them which scared them. )
Spongebob and Patrick: Mr. Slade!
Bugs and Daffy: Uh-oh!
(Gurgi, Petrie, Scooby and Roger gulp fearfully.)
Shaggy Rogers: (chuckles nervously, to Chief) Nice doggie.
Heroes: (nervously smiling) Hello, Mr. Slade.
Amos Slade: (yelling) Don't you "hello" me, you little brats, stay away from Copper!
(The heroes are shocked upon hearing this.)
Littlefoot: What?! That's not fair!
Cera: Yeah, you can't do that!
Ash Ketchum: (hurt) Why should we stay away from Copper?! We didn't do anything to him!
Misty: Yeah, we were just playing with the little guy!
Taran: He's only a little puppy, Mr. Slade.
Princess Eilonwy: Yes, Mr. Slade, there's no need to shout.
Amos Slade: Well, Copper is not for you kids to play with. He's my dog, not yours! He's for me to train a future hunting dog. A hunting dog is not bred to be a child's plaything! It is only bred to just hunt! Nothing else! Now, I'm telling you for the last time, stay away from my dogs and keep off of my property! (to Chief and Copper) Come on, boys. Copper, you are forbidden to play with those kids from now on, ya hear? (Copper whimpers hurtfully)
(Amos leaves with Chief and Copper. The heroes were stunned.)
Princess Eilonwy: (deeply hurt and offended) Oh, what a horrid old man!
Misty: You can say that again.
Squidward Tentacles: Don't waste your breath, girls. Let's just go back.
(They all agree and head back to Mrs. Tweed's home. Back at the barn, our heroes are a bit sad about Amos spoiling their playtime with Tod and Copper. They're deeply hurt over Amos' harsh order to stay away from Copper. Just then, Dinky, Boomer and Big Mama arrive.)
Brock: (sadly) Hi, guys.
Dinky: (worried) What's wrong? Are you all okay?
Ash Ketchum: (on the verge of tears) We're fine.
Boomer: You don't sound fine to us, Ash.
Big Mama: Why don't you tell us what happened, honey?
Roger Rabbit: (sighs) Okay, well what happened just now. Mr. Slade told us to stay away from Copper.
Big Mama: Is that what happened?
Misty: Uh-huh. Mr. Slade also called us brats.
Dinky: Oh, we're sorry for what happened today.
Boomer: Yeah, we know just how you feel.
Roger Rabbit: Yeah, Boomer. Just because you and Dinky hunt for that worm all the time we never do anything together especially with Tod.
Littlefoot: And do you guys know how boring it is when there's nobody else around here to play with?
Big Mama: Look on the bright side, children. You've played with Tod.
Dinky: And you hung out with him while Boomer and I were busy.
SpongeBob SquarePants: (sighs) I can't believe Mr. Slade cut our fun short.
Patrick: Yeah. The nerve of that guy being such a sourpuss.
Daffy Duck: Or better yet: total fun police.
Ash Ketchum: Hey, Big Mama?
Big Mama: Yes, Ash?
Ash Ketchum: Who was that old dog with Mr. Slade?
Big Mama: That old dog, you say?
Ash Ketchum: Mmm-hmm.
Big Mama: That's Chief and like his master he hates visitors and he's very grumpy. So, I wouldn't interact with him if I were you.
Littlefoot: (in his thoughts) Him too?!
Dinky: Yeah, you kids better watch out for Chief because he didn't like his nap to be disturbed. If you go near Chief, you'll wake him up and he'll be awfully cranky.
Daffy Duck: Now, that's not a friendly dog.
Bugs Bunny: Yeah, Chief is as grumpy as Mr. Slade.
Tod: Hey, guys, you can play with me it'll cheer you all up.
Littlefoot; Sure, Tod, that'll get our mind off that grumpy old man and his mean old dog.
Big Mama: Well, there you go, kids.
(The heroes go play with Tod in Mrs. Tweed's yard then the camera fades to black.)
Chief chases Tod/Amos Slade swears revenge[]
(The next day, Copper is tied on a leash, and sighs sadly since Amos forbids him from wandering off again and playing with the heroes. Just then, Tod arrived.)
Tod: Hey, Copper. What happened to ya? Why didn't you-- Golly! You're all tied up.
Copper: Yeah, and it's no fun either, my master says I gotta stay home.
Tod: Well, we can play around here then.
(Tod attempts to play with Copper, who is worried that Chief is asleep in his barrel.)
Copper: Oh, no, not with old Chief over there.
Tod: Is that him making that awful noise?
Copper: He keeps me awake at night. (Tod walks over to Chief) Oh, don't go in there, he's gonna get awful mean. He's cranky.
Tod: Gee wilders, is he ever big? His ears aren't as big as yours, Copper.
Copper: That's not the part you're gonna worry about.
Tod: (looks at Chief's teeth) Wow, look at those teeth.
Copper: That is the part you're gonna worry about. (Chief mumbles in his sleep as he starts to get scared) He's waking up! (gets kicked) Oof! Get out, Tod!
Tod: (ignoring him) No, he's having a dream. He's chasing something.
Chief: It's a big old badger.
Tod: (giggling) Copper, he's chasing the badger?
Chief: (sleepily) No, no, it ain't a badger. It's a-(sniffs in his sleep) It's a-(sniffs, wakes up, and sees Tod in front of him) It's a fox.... A FOX!!! (immediately gets up but bonks his head inside his barrel) Oof!! (barks viciously)
(Chief began to chase Tod.)
Copper: Run, Tod, run!
(The heroes, who are eating breakfast, start hearing the noise They peek out to look to see what's going on. Bagherra, who is sleeping in the barn with Baloo, Rex and his dinosaur friends, Aladar and his family and friends, and Grandma and Granpa Longneck, also hear the loud noise.)
Bagheera: (abruptly wakes up from his nap upon hearing Chief's barking) Wha-?! Huh?! What is that infernal racket?! Keep it down out there, will you?! We're trying to get some sleep here! (gasps upon seeing Tod being chased around) Tod?!
Baloo: We gotta help Tod and fast!
(The heroes come outside to help Tod as Amos shoots several times at Tod.)
Littlefoot: Mister, stop shooting Tod!
(Amos ignored him as Pikachu tried to stop him.)
Amos Slade: (annoyed) Hey, get out of my way, you little freak! (kicks Pikachu aside)
Ash Ketchum: (angrily) Hey, mister, that's my Pikachu! (picks him up) Pikachu, are you okay, buddy?
Pikachu: Pika.
(Ash carries Pikachu safely and Delia comes outside.)
Delia Ketchum: What's going on out there?
Ash Ketchum: Mr. Slade's shooting Tod and he kicked my Pikachu!
(Tod kept on running and Chief fell into the stream with his barrel. Tod pants out of breath and Chief growls angrily at him. Tod sees Widow driving away with the milk. Amos shakes his pants off and drives off with his gun. Copper barks upon knowing that Tod got away safely. The heroes get in the Mystery Inc van to drive after him.)
Shaggy Rogers: Like, step on it, Freddy!
(As Amos kept on shooting Tod and Widow sees him behind him.)
Widow Tweed: (shocked) Tod!
Littlefoot: There he is! He's right behind Mrs. Tweed!
(Tod jumps into the back of Mrs. Tweed's car and pokes his head while Amos shoots the milk bottles which caused them to leak. The heroes and Widow block Tod protectively while glaring at him furiously as Amos halts his truck.)
Littlefoot and Ash: Stop right there, mister!
Widow Tweed: (furiously) Amos Slade, you trigger-happy lunatic! Give me that gun! (she grabs the gun and shoots Amos' truck)
Amos Slade: My radiator! Why, you blasted female, I'll--
Widow Tweed: (stopping him) Hold it right there!
Amos Slade: Watch it! That thing's loaded!
(Widow shoots into the sky.)
Widow Tweed: Now, it ain't loaded! (shoves the gun into Amos)
Amos Slade: (angrily) Dagnabbit, woman, your thieving fox was after my chickens!
Widow Tweed: Rubbish and poppycock! I don't believe it, he wouldn't hurt a thing!
Amos Slade: You calling me a liar, muddle-headed female?! (Chief growls angrily at Tod and the heroes which scared Petrie, Scooby and Gurgi) I saw it happen!
Widow Tweed: Amos Slade, that temper of yours is going to get you into a lot of trouble someday!
Amos Slade: Temper?! Temper?! Woman, you ain't seen my temper! (angrily stomps his hat on the ground, making Squidward and Mr. Krabs afraid) If I ever catch that fox on my property again, I'll blast him, and next time I won't miss! (to Littlefoot and friends, menacingly) And, as for you, you little brats, try to stay out of my way!
(This threat made Littlefoot and his friends nervous. Pikachu's cheeks spark with anger.)
Amos Slade: (to Ash) Mark my words, boy. (points to Pikachu) Your freaky little rat will be next after the fox.
(Ash becomes scared)
Amos Slade: (loads his gun, aims at Ash and Pikachu) In fact, I think I’ll do it right now!!!
Delia Ketchum: (off-screen) Stop it right now!
Misty and Brock: It’s Ash’s Mom!
Ash Ketchum: (surprised to see her) Mom?!
Pikachu: Chu!
Amos Slade: Delia! We meet again!
Delia Ketchum: How dare you come and do such a thing?! Everyone was having such a good time! Take your bullying elsewhere!
Amos Slade: (angrily) Dagnabbit, woman, stay out of this or I’ll…
Delia Ketchum: (points gun at Amos) I said, take your bullying elsewhere!
Amos Slade: Watch it! That thing's loaded!
(Delia shoots into the sky.)
Delia Ketchum: Now, it ain't loaded! (shoves the gun into Amos) Now you listen to me, you twisted, old codger, if I see you with that gun near my son and his friends again, I'll call the police, have them strap you in the electric chair and your dog will be thrown in a pound! DO YOU UNDERSTAND!?
Amos Slade: (gulps hard)
Chief: (whimpers in fear)
(Our heroes are stunned at what Delia just said. And so was Tod.)
Ash Ketchum: (slightly embarrassed) Uh, Mom?
Delia Ketchum: (calmly) Not now, dear. Mom's in the middle of a confrontation right now. (turns back into anger towards Amos) I'm warning you, mister. One little slip up like that again, and you're gonna be a real sorry old man! So, keep that violent temper of yours under control and keep that gun away from my son and his friends! Or else.... Hmmph! (walks away)
Widow Tweed: Oh, dear....
Ash Ketchum: (laughs in embarrassment) 'Guess my mom just showed you what real temper is, Mr. Slade.
Amos Slade: (calmly, but still angry) You and your friends just watch yourselves, kid. Your mom won’t always be around to save your hides.
(screen fades)
Amos, Copper and Chief leave for hunting[]
(The scene changes where Tod, Littlefoot, Ash and the gang are inside Widow's house. Ash frets over Amos' threat to shoot Pikachu.)
Ash Ketchum: Man, I don't know what Mr. Slade's problem was.
Pikachu: Pika.
Daffy Duck: Well, let's just say he's a mean old grouch.
Bagheera: Maybe he doesn't know how to control his temper.
Petrie: Oh, me so scared of Mr. Slade. He's cranky.
Gurgi: Gurgi's scared too.
Patrick Star: I'm scared of Chief.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Me, too. Chief is cranky too.
Yar: (sarcastically about Amos) Since when do we take orders from the likes of him?
Widow Tweed: (giggles)
Ash Ketchum: Mr. Slade also threatened to shoot my Pikachu after Tod.
Widow Tweed: (to Ash) Don't worry about that. I'm sure he didn't literally mean that. He was just trying to scare you and Pikachu off his land.
Ash Ketchum: You see, Pikachu, you shouldn't let Mr. Slade scare you.
Pikachu: Pika.
Ash Ketchum: Hey, Mom?
Delia Ketchum: Yes, Ash, dear?
Ash Ketchum: Thanks for your help yesterday, but you seriously didn't have to do that.
Delia Ketchum: Oh, nonsense! You're my son! I'd never let anything happen to my own friends and family. Just don't let anything that cranky old coot does or say get to you. You understand?
Ash Ketchum: Uh-huh.
Korra: I have to admit Mrs. Ketchum. I am impressed the way you stood up to Amos Slade back there. I never seen you like this before.
Velma Dinkley: By the way, how does Mr. Slade know you anyway? It appears like you both have a really bad history with one another.
Delia Ketchum: It’s true, Velma. Well, Amos, like me and Ash’s father was one of Professor Oak students. Until one day, he and Ash’s father went out on a Pokémon exhibition and spotted a hurt baby Kangaskhan. Ash’s father went to get the medical supplies from the lab while Amos got to watch it. But just as Amos was about to comfort it, the baby’s mother appear and violently attacked Amos. Amos tried to convince it that he wasn’t hurting the baby, but the mother kept attacking him. Finally, Amos made the biggest mistake of his life. He grabbed a gun and tried to kill the mother Kangaskhan.
(Littlefoot and the gang gasp)
Grandpa Longneck: What nerve!
Misty: What happened next?
Delia Ketchum: Unfortunately for Amos, Ash’s father returned and stopped him in time. Furiously, he took Amos to Professor Oak and told him everything he saw. Professor Oak was angry at Amos’s plot that he banished him from the Pokémon World forever. Then Amos vowed that he’ll kill any wild animal for trophies and food even Pokémon. Especially Pokémon who are even owned by Pokémon trainers. (sighs) If there’s one thing I can’t stand, it’s heartless hunters.
Widow Tweed: I totally agree with you, Delia. (about Tod) Oh, the poor little tyke, it's a shame we have to keep cooped up.
Misty: That's for Tod's own safety.
Widow Tweed: Mmm-hmm. (Tod scratches for the door and looks at her) Tod, stop looking at me like that. It's not my fault, you know. You caused a lot of trouble yesterday.
(Just then, the heroes hear Chief barking. Tod, Mrs. Tweed and the heroes see Amos packing up his truck.)
Widow Tweed: (exaggerated) Oh, now what are they up to?
Littlefoot: I don't know. It looks like Mr. Slade's going somewhere.
Brock: But where?
Widow Tweed: Why, it looks like Amos is going on a hunting trip. A long one from the looks of it. Hmph, well good riddance.
Ash Ketchum: Does this mean Mr. Slade's gonna be gone for the whole winter?
Widow Tweed: Yes, Ash. That's exactly what it means.
Squidward Tentacles: Well, who cares if he's going on a hunting trip for the winter? At least now that cranky old grump will finally leave us alone.
Bagheera: (sternly) Now, Squidward, don't even start. The same goes to you too, Mr. Krabs.
Aladar: (sternly) Now, look, just because Mr. Slade is a grumpy man doesn't mean we should treat him the same way he treated us. Even if he did treat us poorly, we could at least show some respect to the poor, old man. So, don't do anything dangerous, silly, or stupid that'll make him angry again. Understand?
Squidward & Mr. Krabs: (through their teeth) Yes....
Aladar: Good.
Bagheera: Very good.
(Tod sneaks out of the window as the heroes go out the door.)
Ash Ketchum: Tod, wait, we're not supposed to be on Mr. Slade's property. And, Pikachu, stay off of Mr. Slade's property, understand?
Pikachu: (agreeing) Pika.
Misty: Yeah, he'll be angry if he sees us again.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Chief will be angry too.
Patrick Star: Yeah, I'm not going near that mean old dog again.
Tod: I'm just going there to say goodbye to Copper before he leaves. But don't you worry, you guys. I'll be very careful. I promise. (runs off to go say good-bye to Copper)
Amos Slade: Dog gone meddlin' female! Shootin' up my radiator! And that Delia Ketchum. Call the police, strap me in the electric chair, and put my dogs in a pond, will she? Ha! I tell ya Chief, one of these days, I'm gonna show her who's the boss around here. Someday, but not today. When her kid and that rodent are asleep, I’m gonna grab my gun, and then… (The car backfires stopping his monologue) Dad blame it! (Kicks the car) Get goin'! (The car motors smoothly) (relieved, chuckles) Well. That's more like it. Keep runnin' old girl.
Copper: (howls)
Amos Slade: Well Copper, me and old Chief are gonna teach ya all about hunting, yes sir. And it's about time, too.
Copper: Woof.
Amos Slade: Attaboy! (chuckles) You're really gonna like tracking down those varmints for me.
Copper: (barks)
Chief: Uh-uh. Get in the back, half-pint. You gotta earn your right to sit up front. (chuckles)
(Copper gets in the back while Chief sits proudly)
Amos Slade: Well boys, we're getting out of here till next spring.
(Tod arrives too late and sees Copper driving away while they see each other one last time)
Copper: (howls sadly)
Lack of Education/Winter[]
(The heroes are saddened over Copper's departure.)
Ash Ketchum: He’s gone
Misty: We were too late.
(Big Mama arrived)
Big Mama: Tod. Kids? What are you doin' over here?
Littlefoot: Tod just wanted to say goodbye to Copper without getting caught.
Tod: Yeah. But I’m too late.
Big Mama: Well what did you plan to do if you kids ran into old Chief?
Tod (confident): Aw Chief. I can outfox that dumb old dog any time.
Ash Ketchum: Yeah. And remember what my mom said? If Mr. Slade comes near us again, she’s gonna…
Big Mama (preachy): Kids! Now hold it just one minute! Didn't you learn anything yesterday? Now you listen good, darlings. Because it's either education or elimination!
SpongeBob SquarePants: What’s that supposed to mean?
Big Mama: Now if you're so foxy and old Chief's so dumb, then why does the hound get the fox and kids on the run? Because he's got the hunter, and the hunter's got the gun. Kablam! Elimination. Lack of Education.
Patrick Star: I don’t get it.
Big Mama: If you pal around with that Copper hound, you'll wind up hangin' on the wall. Keep your nose to the wind, and you'll keep your skin. ‘Cause you won't be home when the hunter comes to call!
Tod: Oh Big Mama. I know Copper would never track me down.
Cera: Yeah, Copper's our friend!
Big Mama: Ho ho! Your best friend! Now Copper's gonna do what he's been told. Suppose to chase a little fox into an old foxhole. Then along comes a hunter with a buckshot load. . .
Boomer: (imitates carrying a gun) Ka-ka-kablam!
(Dinky acts out being shot)
Big Mama: Elimination!
Dinky: (falls to the ground) Lack of Education.
Big Mama (sternly): You'd better believe it, kids. Yes sirree.
Tod: You mean Copper's gonna be my enemy?!
Pikachu: Pika, Pikachu.
Ash Ketchum: What is it, Pikachu?
Dinky: I think Pikachu is trying to tell us something, Ash.
(Pikachu leads the heroes, Dinky and Boomer to the shed.)
Pikachu: (points at shed) Pika. Pika-pika-pikachu.
Petrie: What that?
Dinky: We were afraid you guys would find that.
Littlefoot: What is it?
Dinky: Hey kid! You guys better step over here and take a good look.
(Dinky and Boomer fly over to the shed and push it open. Inside are many different kinds of fur skins. A look of horror forms on Tod's face.)
Tod: Why...why, that's awful. Those poor things.
Big Mama: (hugging Tod) I'm sorry, Tod. Honey, Copper's gonna come back a trained hunting dog. A real killer.
Tod: Oh, no, not my friend Copper. He won't ever change.
Big Mama: I hope you're right, Tod.
Littlefoot: Big Mama, if Tod can't play with Copper anymore, who's he supposed to play with now?
Ash Ketchum: Yeah, they are no other foxes around here to play with Tod.
Big Mama: Yes, but you're Tod's friends.
Tod: And Copper and I will keep on being friends forever. Um, won't we, Big Mama?
Big Mama: Darling, forever is a long, long time and time, has a way of changing things.
[Tod looks back at the barrels. The leaves start to fall. The camera moves around the farm, The season slowly changes to hard winter]
[The camera moves in on a patch of snow, Squeeks slowly crawls out of the snow. A cold wind blows, and he starts to shiver. He then looks over and spots the widow's house. He crawls in its direction]
[The camera moves over to a makeshift scarecrow, Dinky and Boomer are inside the scarecrow's coat, freezing]
Dinky (shivers): Jiminy. It sure turned cold!
Boomer: I'm freezin' my b-b-b. . .
Dinky: Hey! (Sees Squeeks) It's that fuzzy worm! Let's get him. Charge!
Squeeks: (sees them coming) Aah!
(Squeeks tries to dive into a snow bank, but hits his head on something. He dives in again and succeeds. Dinky and Boomer dive in after him)
Boomer (from inside the snow): Hey Dinky! Dinky quick! Over here!
(Boomer lifts his head out of the snow. Something is in his beak)
Boomer: I got him! I got him!
(He pulls out something wrapped in snow. The snow falls away. It's Dinky.)
Dinky: Do I look like a worm? (Points) That's who we're after!
(Squeeks crawls up the door and disappears into the keyhole.)
Dinky: Come on!
(They fly up to the keyhole and perch on a shovel. Dinky peers inside. Squeeks is warming himself by the stove.)
Dinky (glowered): Look at that little creep. Warm and cozy by the fire.
Boomer: Let me take a look!
(Boomer looks into the keyhole.)
Boomer: Now how do you like that g-g-guy?! Snug as a bug!
(Squeeks pulls a sock over his body and lies down in a plant pot.)
Boomer (snorts): While we're out here freezin' our b-b-beaks off!
Dinky: Brr. Well yakin' and shiverin' ain't gettin' us anywhere. We'll get that no good worm when we come back!
(Dinky takes off.)
Boomer: Ooh sh-sh-shucks!
(Boomer flies off too. They fly over to Big Mama's tree.)
Dinky: So long, Big Mama.
Boomer: Yeah. We're goin' south for the winter.
Big Mama (fondly): Goodbye boys! See you next spring!
(As Dinky and Boomer fly south for the winter, snow keeps on falling. A depressed Tod is looking out the window and misses Copper. A sympathetic Misty pets and comforts the sad little fox. Meanwhile, inside Amos' house, everything is dark and quiet. But the wintry wind pushes the window open, knocking over a picture of Amos and Chief, breaking the frame. However, there's another paper in back of the picture. The wind picks it up and blows the paper out of the broken picture frame. The paper is then blown out through the window and is blown into the air.)
SpongeBob SquarePants: (sighs) That old man just doesn't understand it, Littlefoot. All we were doing was just playing with Copper. But he thinks it's a bad thing.
Littlefoot: Yeah, I know, Spongebob. (sighs) He just wants to take anything we want to do to have fun with Copper and-and-and-and smoosh it.
(Just then, the paper that was blown out from Amos' house flew into Ash's face.)
Ash Ketchum: (removes the paper off his face) Wha-What's this? (looks at the paper and sees it as an old photo of Amos standing with several people) Hey, isn't that Mr. Slade?
Littlefoot: Looks, like it, but who are these other people with him?
Ash Ketchum: I-I don't know. (hides the photo) Let's keep it hidden and maybe ask him when the time is right.
(scene fades to montages of Amos, Chief and Copper’s winter hunt)
Copper grows up/The next spring[]
(Next spring, Big Mama comes out of her tree and throws out her leaves.)
Tod: (laughs as leaves fell on him)
Littlefoot and Ash: (laughs) Big Mama!
(Big Mama looks down and sees Littlefoot, Ash, and Tod, now as a fully grown fox, covered in leaves.)
Big Mama: Well, look who's here? (Tod shakes the leaves off him) Oh, my goodness! (laughs as she flicks the remaining leaf off of Tod) I'm sorry, boys.
Ash Ketchum: (giggles) That's okay, Big Mama.
Brock: (laughs) Good morning, Big Mama. Beautiful spring day, huh?
Big Mama: Good morning, Brock and yes, it is indeed beautiful.
(Just then, Dinky and Boomer arrived.)
Dinky: Hiya, Big Mama! We're back! We flew all the way!
Boomer: Oh, yeah. Uh, we did. We did.
Big Mama: Welcome home, boys! You know? It's been kinda lonesome around here without you little rascals.
Littlefoot and Ash: Hi, Dinky. Hi, Boomer.
Pikachu: Pika, Pikachu.
Boomer; Hi, Littlefoot.
Dinky: Hi, Ash. Hi, Pikachu. How you boys been?
Ash Ketchum: We've been great.
Tod: Hi, fellas!
Boomer: Hey, who's that? Who's that?
Princess Eilonwy: It's Tod, remember?
Dinky: Hey, this can't be this scrawny little squirt there we found by the fence post, can it? Come on.
Littlefoot: We found Tod by the fence post when he was a little baby.
Cera: Yeah, he used to be. But not anymore.
Big Mama: That's right, kids. I was there and I helped.
Dinky and Boomer: Us too.
SpongeBob Squarepants: Yep, he's now a fully grown fox.
Boomer: I can't believe my eyes.
Tod: (chuckles) It's me, all right.
Dinky: (sees Tod's collar) Hey, looky, guys. He's got himself a fancy collar.
Ducky: It was a birthday present that Mrs. Tweed gave him this winter.
Dinky and Boomer: Really?
Ducky: Yep, yep, yep.
Boomer: (looking at Tod's tail) Hey, hey. (wraps himself with Tod's tail) Just look at this bushy tail. (laughs) B-Beautiful.
(Big Mama, Dinky and the heroes laugh in amusement.)
Tod: Aw, come on, cut it out. You guys are always teasing me.
Littlefoot: We love you, Tod.
Tod: I love you guys too.
(Just then, Mrs. Tweed comes out.)
Dinky: We'll see ya later, guys. We gotta take care of some unfinished business.
Misty: Oh, boy. Let's see if they'll mess it up again like they did the last time.
(Our heroes giggle. Mrs. Tweed examines her plant.)
Widow Tweed: I can't understand it was so healthy.
Daphne Blake: I think your plant needs water, Mrs Tweed.
Velma Dinkley: Yeah, and lots of sunshine too.
Widow Tweed: Oh, yes, you're right. Thank you, girls. (Squeeks gasps upon seeing Mrs. Tweed pour water on her plant) There, that ought to perk it up.
(Squeeks sneezed and sends him flying into the drain pipe.)
Boomer: Now where'd he go? (looks inside the drainpipe) Where'd he go?!
Dinky: (looks inside the drainpipe) He's goin' up the drainpipe! I'll head him off! (flies up to the top) Okay, Boomer! We've got him trapped! Let him have it!
(Boomer starts hammering into the pipe with his beak. It vibrates like crazy, and Dinky becomes dizzy. Squeaks appears from within the pipe, slightly stunned. He then spots Dinky, screams and escapes. Dinky regains consciousness as Boomer reaches the top of the drainpipe.)
Dinky: Did you get him?
Boomer: Get him?
Dinky: No, I didn't.
Boomer: Neither did I.
(Squeaks has crawled onto a telephone line,)
Dinky: Come on! Look!
(Squeaks sees them coming and squeezes his body under some kind of glass cap.)
Boomer: Hoo hoo hoo! A caterpillar under glass. Oh boy! (taps at the glass and both he and Dinky get zapped themselves by electricity, making the glass explode in the process)
(Squeaks is also electrocuted as well. Boomer climbs up and his feathers are charred from the electricity.)
Boomer: Holy!
Dinky: (smoking from the electricity) Smoke! (coughs)
Tod: (gasps upon seeing Boomer and Dinky completely fried from the electricity and starts to laugh) Hey, guys, look at that! (laughs)
Neera: Oh, good grief! (laughs alongside with Aladar)
(Everyone else start to laugh hysterically at Boomer and Dinky for their silliness. For they find their electrifying misfortune extremely funny.)
Ash Ketchum: (laughs) That sure gave them a major shock treatment! Didn't it, Littlefoot? (laughs)
Littlefoot: It sure did! (laughs) Boomer and Dinky, you guys are the funniest birds we've ever seen! (laughs)
Pikachu: Pika! (laughs)
Taran: (laughs) I guess those two silly birds don't know a thing or two about electricity! (laughs)
Brock: (laughs) Probably not, Taran! (laughs)
Baloo: Those birdbrains sure got quite an electric personality. Huh, Baggy? (chuckles)
Bagheera: (chuckles) I have to admit that was pretty funny. (chuckles)
(Our heroes continue to laugh at the two birds' silly misfortune. Squeaks, having enough with Boomer and Dinky, turns and leaves with a huff. As he wiggles away, he begins glowing.)
Boomer: Hey, hey! How's he do that, Dinky? How's he do that?
Grandpa Longneck: (chuckles warmly as he grabs them and lowers them down to his grandson and friends) Alright, you two, that's enough silliness for today. We think it's better you leave the little critter alone for now.
Ash Ketchum: Are you guys, okay? (chuckles)
Boomer and Dinky: (dazed as their bodies are smoking from the electricity) Yep.
Littlefoot: (chuckles) You guys are so funny. (he and Ash laugh)
[The camera fades to a shot of the road in front of the farm, Amos is driving down the road]
Amos Slade: (singing) I ain't got no job. I'm a huntin' man. And I'd rather have a dog than a dollar. So, let's go banjo ring-a-ling-a-ding ho! Give a little hoot and a holler! Ha ha!
("A Huntin' Man" stops playing. Chief looks grumpy)
Amos Slade: Aw come on, Chief. Just 'cause you're not sittin' up front, that ain't no reason to be a sore head. Shucks. If it weren't for you, Copper'd never turned into a good huntin' dog. Yes sirree. Now I've got me the best two dogs there is. Right, Copper?
Copper: (barking)
Amos Slade: Ha ha! Isn't he somethin', Chief? (Laughs)
(Amos starts howling along with Copper, Chief covers up his ears. Littlefoot and his friends stop and hear Copper's howling.)
Littlefoot and Ash: (excitedly) Copper's home!
SpongeBob and Patrick: Yippee!!!
(They run up to the fence near the road.)
Tod: Look, guys, Copper's back.
Pikachu: Pika.
Misty: We know, Tod. Isn't this exciting?
Bagheera: My, my, how Copper has grown.
Ash Ketchum: Yeah and look at that huge pile of animal skins he helped tracked out during his trip. Pretty impressive, wouldn't you say?
Jack Skellington: Indeed. Very impressive.
Tod: I know, Ash. He's a huntin' dog now.
Big Mama: You're right. And you're a fox.
Tod: Oh, that won't make any difference. Copper's gonna be glad to see me.
Big Mama: Well, honey. Just don't get your hopes too high.
Tod: Look, don't worry. I'll be careful. I'll go over tonight when Chief and the hunter are sound asleep.
Amos Slade: (sighs) Home sweet Home. Let’s see if everything’s in one piece. Hmm..... All the furniture seems to be in place. Not a scratch on anything. That's good. Huh? What the? (sees the broken picture and picks it up, groans) The picture broke. Must've been a really bad storm that winter. (closes the windows) Cheap windows. Let’s see what those meddling kids are up to. (Grabs binoculars and sees our heroes) Still hanging at Widow’s. (sees Tod, then whistles) Boy, did that fox grow. (sees Delia Ketchum) Oh, boy. Looks like Delia’s hanging around with those kids. (puts binoculars down) Well, watch out kids. Next time we see each other, it’s game over for you and that fox.
A difficult reunion/Chief injured[]
(Cuts to nighttime, Copper is drinking water and Chief is sleeping in his barrel.)
Copper: (sits down and scratches his ear) Boy. It's great to be back home. Isn't it, Chief?
Chief: (unamused) Hmph.
Copper: Aw come on, Chief. You aren't still sore. Are ya? (Pause, then becomes excited) Hey! Hey come on! Let's scuffle! We ain't scuffled in a long time! (climbs onto Chief and starts wrestling with him) Come on, Chief! Let's have some fun!
Chief (amused): Oh, lay off, Copper. You overgrown pup, you. (chuckles then tries to go back to sleep until Copper grabs his ear and playfully tugs it; this time he gets real angry and serious) Oh, let go! Dagnabbit! (pushes Copper off) Let go, I say!
Copper: (hurt) Okay, okay.
Chief: (rubs his ear) You know that was your trouble on the hunt.
Copper: Aw come on, old timer! You treat me like a pup. You know that? (scratches his ear) I think I've done real good trackin' down them varmints for you.
Chief: Smellin' and trackin' ain't enough. You gotta think nasty! Heh! (goes back to sleep)
Copper: Okay, okay. I know. Heh. I know. (lays down and goes to sleep in his own barrel)
(Then a few hours later, Littlefoot, Ash, Genie, Roger Rabbit and Tod peak through the bushes.)
Genie: (whispers) Tod, are you sure you know what you're doing?
Littlefoot: (whispers) Yeah, what if you'll end up waking Chief and Mr. Slade up? You could get into serious trouble.
Tod: (whispers) Look, I'll be fine. It's only for a little bit. I'm sure Copper will be happy to see me.
Genie: (whispers) Alright, if you say so.
Tod: (whispers) Hurry and get back to the barn before they find you here.
Ash Ketchum: (whispers) Okay....
(Ash, Littlefoot and Genie go back to the barn. Copper, who is still sleeping, hears a noise in the bushes and sniffs.)
Tod: (whispers) Copper? (whistles; whispers) Hey, Copper? It's me, Tod.
Copper: (whispers) I thought that was you, Tod. I heard you coming. Boy, you've really grown.
Tod: (whispers) You have too, Copper. I saw you coming back with Chief and the hunter.
Copper: (whispers) It's great to see you, Tod. (warily) But, you know-- You shouldn't be over here. You're gonna get us both in a lot of trouble.
Tod: (whispers) Look, I-I just wanted to see you. We're still friends, aren't we?
Copper: (whispers) Tod...those days are over. I'm a hunting dog now. You-You better get out of here before old Chief wakes up.
Tod: (whispers) Oh, Chief. He doesn't worry me.
Copper: (whispers) Tod, I'm serious. You're....You're fair game as far he's concerned.
(Suddenly, Chief wakes up and hears the conversation. But when he sees Tod as a fully grown fox entering Amos' property again, he barks at him real loudly, scaring both Tod and Copper out of their wits. Littlefoot and Ash, while entering the barn, hear Chief's loud barking.)
Littlefoot and Ash: (surprised) Huh?!
Littlefoot: (gasps) Tod's in trouble!
Ash Ketchum: Oh, no! Not again! (groans) We knew this was gonna happen. Let's wake the others!
Littlefoot: Okay!
(Amos comes out and becomes angry as he sees Tod.)
Amos Slade: It's that fox again!
Widow Tweed: Boys, what's going on?!
Ash Ketchum: Mr. Slade and Chief are after Tod!
Littlefoot: This is bad, Mrs Tweed! Really bad!
Widow Tweed: Then, we better help Tod!
Amos Slade: After him, boys! Go get him!
(Tod runs as fast as he can. He leads Chief through the wood to a tall railroad trestle. The fox hides as Chief goes by. Tod pants, but hears Copper, and hides when Copper passes by, but turns around, then spots Tod, who gasps, only to hear Amos coming.)
Amos Slade: Copper! Copper! Copper! Copper!
Copper: (softly) Tod, I-I don't want to see you get killed.
Amos Slade: Track him down, boy!
Copper: (softly) I'll let you go this one time. (howls)
Amos Slade: Don't lose him!
(as Tod creeps from the wild pile, escapes, and runs onto the train tracks for home, but gasps when Chief comes out growling at him and chasing him.)
Amos Slade: There they are! Old Chief's got him on the run! (suddenly, a fast moving train appears, and as Tod instantly ducks down underneath the speeding vehicle, Chief just freezes in deep fright) Jump, Chief, jump!
(Chief does so, jumps, and falls into the stream below, but breaks his leg in the fall. As the engine and rolling stock sail over, Tod gets up and looks down in deep shock upon seeing Chief injured. As Chief struggles to get up, but fails, Copper appears checking to see if he's okay.)
Copper: Chief! Chief? (nudges him and he doesn't respond) (horrified) Oh, no! No! (pants anxiously then looks up at Tod and growls furiously) (bitterly, shouting) Tod, if it's the last thing I do, I'll-I'll get you for this! (Tod felt deeply hurt upon hearing this)
(The scene changes where Widow and the heroes are out in the woods looking for Tod.)
Widow Tweed: Tod!
Littlefoot: Tod, please come out!
Ash Ketchum: Tod, where are you?!
Widow Tweed: Tod? Tod!
(Tod arrives)
Littlefoot: There he is!
Ash Ketchum: (hugs him) Oh, Tod, you're okay.
Widow Tweed: Oh, Tod, thank heaven you're safe.
(The camera fades to black.)
Goodbye may seem forever/Tod's first night in the forest[]
(The scene changes to Widow's barn Tod explained about the train accident.)
Tod: You see, guys, I went over to see Copper, but then he announced that his days with me are officially over since he's an official hunting dog, Chief and the hunter woke up and they went after me. Copper didn't want to see me get killed and he'd let me go this one time and Chief broke his leg after he fell off the tracks. And Copper got mad at me because he thought I was trying to kill Chief.
(The heroes are deeply shocked upon hearing this.)
Cera: Copper and Mr. Slade believed that you almost killed Chief on purpose, Tod?!
Tod: Yes. But I wasn't trying to hurt him. In fact, I had no intention of hurting him at all. I had to dodge the train. It was coming up so fast while I was being chased. I didn't have a choice. But Chief was unable to move. He just stood there and froze.
Misty: And they pinned the blame for what had happened to him on you, Tod? That's impossible!
Ash Ketchum: How on Earth could they believe in something like that?! It was an accident!
Brock: Yeah, that doesn't make any sense! You would never do anything to hurt or kill anyone in a malicious manner, Tod! Never!
Littlefoot: And they don't even have any proof about it either!
(We cut to Amos' yard where a really angry Amos stalks up to Widow's house as Copper felt guilty for letting Tod go.)
Copper: Poor Chief. It's all my fault. (suddenly becomes angry) I should've let Tod go!
(Dinky sees the really angry Amos going to Mrs. Tweed's house.)
Dinky: (wakes Big Mama up) Big Mama, wake up! Wake up! There's trouble!
(Pikachu senses something as his cheeks begin to spark.)
Ash Ketchum: What's the matter, Pikachu?
Pikachu: Pika!
Ash Ketchum: (looks out the window and sees Amos coming) Oh, no. Guys, it's Mr. Slade! Pikachu, go hide and don't let Mr. Slade see you.
Pikachu: (agreeing) Pika.
(Pikachu finds a safe place to hide.)
Daffy Duck: What does that old grump want now?!
Bugs Bunny: I think he's coming right at us!
(Tod senses that Amos is coming and hides behind the stove.)
Widow Tweed: Tod, what is it? (hears a bang on the door) What on earth?!
Amos Slade: WIDOW! GET OUT HERE!
Widow Tweed: Why, Amos! What are--
Amos Slade: Where is he?! Where is he?! I know he's in there!
Widow Tweed: Now, just a minute! You can't come barging onto my property, Amos Slade!
Ash Ketchum: Yeah, you stay out, or I'll have my Pikachu shock you with his electric attacks! (slams the door in his face)
Amos Slade: That fox of yours almost killed Chief and I'm gonna get him! (Mrs. Tweed locks the door, but is suddenly horrified upon hearing that threat) You can't keep him locked up forever!
(Our heroes look at Tod, who is hiding under Mrs. Tweed's stove, in worry. They all become sad. It has become clear that their fox friend is no longer safe.)
Littlefoot: Now, what do we do?
Petrie: Oh, me so scared.
Ducky: Mr. Slade is really mad.
Bugs Bunny: Yeah, he'll never leave Tod alone.
Bagheera: I'm afraid he's no longer safe here, everyone. He can't stay here anymore. The more he stays, the more he'll be in danger with that grumpy hunter around.
Brock: Guess there's only one best option, guys. Mrs. Tweed, I think it's best you go and.... take Tod somewhere away from here.
Widow Tweed: (sighs) You know something, Brock? You're right, I think it is best that I let Tod go into the preserve.
(The next day a very sad Widow puts her hat on and she wakes up Tod then he gets up the heroes look on with sadness. The heroes hug Tod then Widow carrries him to her truck.)
Littlefoot and Ash: (seeing Mrs. Tweed driving off with Tod) Goodbye, Tod...
(Ash sighs sadly and goes to rejoin his friends with tears running down his face. As the sobbing Littlefoot was about to do the same, he sees Amos looking at Mrs. Tweed driving away with Tod. He begins to suspect that he might be up to something. As the old hunter goes back into the house, he sees the perfect time to call Petrie for assistance now that the coast is clear.)
Littlefoot: (whispers) Psst! Petrie! Petrie, come here!
Petrie: (whispers) Yes, Littlefoot?
Littlefoot: (whispers) Petrie, I want you to keep a close watch on Mr. Slade. I'm beginning to suspect he's up to something. Whatever it is, I don't like it. Once you find out what he's up to, fly back and warn us. But do it without him knowing that you're there.
Petrie: (whispers) Okay, Littlefoot. Me be very careful.
(Ash looks out the window crying as his friends comfort him. Delia also comforts her son.)
Ash Ketchum: Mom, I'm going to miss Tod so much. (hugging his mom)
Delia Ketchum: (gently) I know, honey. But, you and your friends did the right thing to let him go where he'll be safe from Amos.
Bagheera: Yes, everything will be all right for Tod, son. The forest is where Tod belongs now.
Ash Ketchum: This is all my fault, guys. I never should've let Tod go onto Mr. Slade's property.
Bugs Bunny: Ash, don't blame yourself, pal. Tod should've listened to us in the first place.
Daffy Duck: Yeah, he just didn't know what would happen.
Ash Ketchum: I'd figure Copper is never gonna forgive Tod for Chief's injury last night ever since he's an official hunting dog.
Bagheera: I understand what happened last night, Ash. Tod was unaware that he and Copper were supposed to be natural enemies since he's a fox. Foxes are preys to all hunting dogs.
(Ash continues crying and Bagheera hugs him in comfort.)
(Widow drives into the forest with Tod she began thinking about those memories with him among with the heroes.)
Widow Tweed: (thinking) We met, it seems, such a short time ago You looked at me Needing me so Yet from our sadnesss, our happiness grew And I found out,, I needed you too I remember how we used to play I recall those rainy days The fire's glow, that kept us warm And now I found We're both alone Goodbye may seem forever Farewell is like the end But in my heart's a memory And there, you'll always be.
(Hours later, Widow carried Tod to the entrance of the game preserve. Tod affectionately licked her cheek, she removed his collar, and gave him one last hug. Tod attempts to follow her and she silenty shook her head as if telling him that it's his new home now. Widow looks at Tod one last time while shedding a tear before driving away. Then the thunder is heard and it began to rain as Tod goes under the tree to keep himself dry. All of the animals go into their homes and one of the squirrels climb onto the tree the water splashed onto Tod which annoys him then he decides to go somewhere else. The porcupine looks at Tod with sympathy upon watching him looking for shelter. Tod attempts to look for a dry spot but finds that was taken by a family of raccoons. Tod then walks away, and as the thunderclap frightens him, he yelps and runs into a den. But unfortunately it belonged to a grumpy, rude badger named Mr. Digger. A scared Tod backed away as an angry Mr. Digger comes out.)
Mr. Digger: Hold it, sonny! Back off! Consarn it! Where do you think you're going?!
Tod: Oh, excuse me. I-I was just trying to--
(The porcupine comes down to witness Tod getting yelled at by Mr. Digger and looks on with deep sympathy.)
Mr. Digger: You barge into somebody's house like you own it! Tarryhootin' around them woods and waking up folks in the middle of the night!
Tod: I honestly didn't know anybody lived here. And I'm-
Mr. Digger: Well, you know it now. Now get off my property. Go on! Beat it!
Porcupine: (to Tod as he backed away from Mr. Digger) I've been watching you, sir. You can stay with me if you want to.
Tod: That's very nice of you.
Porcupine: Come with me.
Amos' plan to kill Tod[]
(Meanwhile, Mrs. Tweed makes her sad drive back to her house after dropping Tod off at the game preserve where she thought he'd be safe from her grouchy neighbor. Amos is outside untying Copper and is about to bring him inside from the rain. Petrie is above him in a tree, spying on him just as he was ordered to by Littlefoot. Amos, upon seeing Mrs. Tweed parking her car at her house, gives a nasty smirk on his face, scaring Petrie to the bone.)
Amos Slade: She dropped that fox off at the game preserve. We'll get 'em. We'll get 'em!
(Petrie becomes horrified at this sudden revelation. It turns out that the old hunter already knew what Mrs. Tweed and our heroes had been doing the whole time.)
Petrie: (gasps; whispers) He knows! Me gotta tell Littlefoot and Ash about this right away! (quickly flies back to Mrs. Tweed's barn)
(As thunder roars, Chief is inside with a cast on his hindleg, laying on some pillows and in front of a stove where he is nice and warm.)
Chief: Well, now, if you're gonna have a busted leg, (groans) this is the way to do it. (chuckles) Good food. Soft pillow. Warm stove. (chuckles) Sure beats sleeping in that barrel. (hears Amos and Copper coming in) Well now. Here comes visitors to see the invalid. (pretends to be in pain, but gapes as Amos and Copper just walk by; annoyed) How do you like that? They didn't even ask how I'm feelin'.
(Amos puts his coat on the chair next to the fireplace. Chief pushes against the door and pretends to whine in pain to get Amos and Copper's attention. But Amos isn't falling for it.)
Amos Slade: Chief, get back in there before I break your other leg.
(Chief whimpers and walks back in.)
Amos Slade: Copper. Copper. Lookie here. (holds up a very deadly device: a steel jaw trap; sets it down and opens it for a demonstration) Now when that fox comes traipsin' along, suspectin' nothin'. . .
(He picks up a stick and slowly taps it along the floor toward the horrible trap. Finally, he touches the trap with the stick. The terrible trap snaps shut with a loud SNAP!, and ends up breaking the stick apart, as the thunderclaps, which means Tod will be put in for a rude awakening if he steps into the wrong direction and getting caught by one of Amos' nasty traps. Meanwhile, next door at Mrs. Tweed's barn, Petrie explained the grim news about Amos already knowing about their intention of letting Tod live free in the game preserve.)
Ash Ketchum: WHAT?!?! He already knows about Mrs. Tweed taking Tod to the game preserve?!
Brock: But how?!
Jack Skellington: How could he already know that?!
Littlefoot: I knew there was something wrong about that man! I knew it! I just knew it!
Grandpa Longneck: How could you know that Littlefoot?
Littlefoot: Because I first took notice of strange behavior when Mrs. Tweed began driving Tod away. So, I told Petrie to go spy on him and keep a close eye on him without making a sound. Just to see if he does anything suspicious.
Grandma Longneck: Oh, I see.
SpongeBob: (groans in frustration) I don't get it, guys! Mr. Slade knows everything about what we've been doing behind his back! What are we going to do?!
Sandy Cheeks: First, that grouchy old timer made numerous threats against us and Mrs. Tweed about killing Tod if we keep him locked in her house forever, and now this! Dang gum!
Daffy Duck: That old grump just doesn't know when to quit! Does he?!
Bugs Bunny: I'll say! He just won't stop!
Misty: And I think I know what he's planning on doing: he and Copper might be thinking about.... killing Tod!
(The sound thunder claps when Misty mentioned that horrible reveal to the group.)
Ash Ketchum: (gravely sighs) That does it, you guys. Mr. Slade has crossed the line for the last time. He isn't gonna stop leaving Tod alone until he is gone for good.
Kenai: I was afraid something like this was gonna happen. Guys, we've got to stop him and Copper from killing Tod. If we don't hurry, they'll become like me. They'll end up angering the Great Spirits. They'll anger my brother, Sitka and Koda's mother. Once they found out that they killed an innocent fox without any decency or mercy, who knows what they'll do to them. They'll most likely turn Mr. Slade into an animal of some sort. But who knows what they'll do to Copper? Like how I was transformed into a bear after I mercilessly killed Koda's mother.
Littlefoot: He's got a point, you guys. Mr. Slade's gonna end up making the same mistake Kenai made two years ago. We can't afford to let an incident like that happen again.
Ash Ketchum: So, here's what we're gonna do. On the day of his hunt, we must go to the game preserve early in the morning before he and Copper get there. And when he does arrive, we're gonna stop him and protect Tod with all our lives. No matter what it takes. It's do or die. Who's with me and Littlefoot in saving Tod from that crazed mad man and his angry hunting dog?
Our heroes: We are!
Littlefoot, Ash and Genie: Shh!!
Littlefoot: It's best if we keep it quiet.
Our heroes: Oh. (quietly) We are.
Squidward Tentacles: (quietly) Well, I'm not.
Mr. Krabs: (quietly) Oh, yes, you are! Think about poor, old Mrs. Tweed, Squidward! Now, come with us and help us defend Tod from that crazy old hunter, OR YOU'RE FIRED!!!!
Squidward Tentacles: (grumbles quietly)
Littlefoot: (quietly) Then it's settled. We all leave for the game preserve early when the time is right.
Ash Ketchum: (quietly) So, when Amos and Copper make preparations for their hunt against Tod, let's set our alarm clocks for 5:00 a.m. and go to the preserve before them. We need to beat that old man at his own game and talk some sense into those two once and for all. And like we said it's do or die.
(Thunderclaps and the screen go black.)
Tod freaks out/Tod meets Vixey[]
(The scene changes to the next morning where Big Mama flew to the tree.)
Big Mama: Tod? Tod? (lands on the tree) Whew! Oh, boy. These old wings aint's what they used to be. Big Mama, you'd better lose a few pounds. (sees something) (excited) Uh, oh! Uh, oh! There he is! There he is! Tod! Tod!
(A fox looks behind turns out to be a vixen named Vixey.)
Vixey: Oh, hi, Big Mama.
Big Mama: Oh, it's you, Vixey!
Vixey: Hey, what brings you way out here?
Big Mama: I'm looking for a fox named Tod. He's new here in the forest.
Vixey: Oh, new? Um. Well, what does he look like?
Big Mama: Oh, he's young. About your age. And handsome.
Vixey: Handsome? Oh! Say... Gee, he sure sounds nice. Uh, um. I'm not doing anything. I... I'll help you find him.
Big Mama: Ha, ha! Come on. He's gotta be around here somewhere.
(Big Mama and Vixey went to find Tod. The scene changes where Tod is sleeping in the tree with the porcupine, who wakes up, then yawns while stretching and accidentally pricked Tod waking him up.)
Tod: (freaking out) What?! What happened?! Where am I?!
(Tod falls out as the porcupine looks on with worry and Tod landed on Mr. Digger's den, he then felt rough pushing on his back, it was a furious Mr. Digger.)
Mr. Digger: So, it's you again! You barged in on me last night! And, now, you--
Tod: I didn't mean to.
Mr. DIgger: Just look at the mess you made.
(Tod looks at Mr. Digger's damaged entrance.)
Mr. Digger: (furiously, pushing Tod) Dagnabbit! You clumsy bonhead!
Tod: (apologetic) I'm sorry! It was an accident!
Mr. Digger: (bitterly) Excuses! Excuses!
Porcupine: Mr. Digger, sir. It was so too an accident.
Mr. Digger: (to the porcupine) You keep out of this, you walking, pin cushion.
Porcupine: (severely) You shouldn't be so grumpy to someone who's new in the neighborhood.
Mr. Digger: A stranger, eh? (rudely, to Tod) Why don't you go back where you came from?!
Tod: (hurt) Wha..
(Tod starts to leave and looks back for a moment.)
Mr. Digger: Well, go on! Git going! Git!
(Tod sadly continues his way and the porcupine sighs sadly, shaking his head feeling deeply sorry for Tod. Tod is still walking sadly along the forest Big Mama and Vixey arrive watch him from the distance.)
Vixey: Aw. Gosh. he seems so... I don't know... so downhearted, Big Mama.
Big Mama: Well. You can't blame him, honey. He was dropped out here and left all alone without a friend in the world..
Vixey: You know maybe there's something I can do. You know cheer him up.
Big Mama: (smiles) Honey! You just said the magic words!
(Big Mama pulls Vixey out into the opening, she then whispers into Vixey's ear.)
Vixey: What...? Oh, but, Big Mama. I don't know.
Big Mama: Darling, don't move. You look beautiful!
Vixey: Thank you.
(Big Mama walks over to Tod.)
Big Mama: Morning, Tod.
Tod: (sadly) Oh, hello, Big Mama.
Big Mama: Last night was pretty miserable for you. Wasn't it, honey?
Tod: Just terrible.
Big Mama: Cheer up! And look around. The forest is beautiful this morning.
Tod: After last night, nothing looks beautiful. (Big Mama shows Tod to Vixey who is standing in the sunlight.) Wow! Who... who is...is that?
Big Mama: Oh. Just another fox. A lady fox.
Tod: (lovestruck) Golly! Is she beautiful! I wonder what her name is.
Big Mama: Well, don't you go ask her?
Tod: Yeah. Yeah, I guess... Guess I will. (walking up to Vixey) I'll... I'll go up to her and I'll say "You're the most gorgeous... The most beautiful... (stammering) Never seen anyone, anywhere... I'll say... Hi.
Vixey: Hello. Big Mama told me, you know...
Tod: I just happened to be... May I call you by your first name?
Vixey: Oh, sure. Why not?
Tod: (chuckles) Thanks, but what...? What is your first name?
Vixey: Vixey.
Tod: Vixey.
Vixey: Uh-huh.
Tod: My name is...is...uh, Tod.
Vixey: Tod? That's a... That's a nice name, Tod.
(Big Mama, Dinky and Boomer watch Tod and Vixey meeting each other.)
Boomer: it looks like that farm boy is makin' it big with her. (Big Mama silenced him)
Big Mama: (firmly) Shh! Now just keep it down.
Vixey: Well, Tod, you know something? This stream is just full of trout. Do you think you can catch one?
Tod: One what?
Vixey: One what? Fish, silly! (giggles)
Tod: Oh, oh, yeah! Oh, yeah. My dear young lady.... (jumps on the log)...You happen to be looking at an expert...fisher fox.
Big Mama: Oh, Tod, Tod. Don't overdo it.
Tod: I know all the tricks. In fact, I...I never miss.
Big Mama: Please let him catch a fish.
Tod: (gasps) Here comes a whopper! (sees a fish) Now, watch closely.
(Tod struggles to catch a fish and gets in the log.)
Vixey: Tod, do you need help?
Tod: No, no, I...I do it this way all... all the... all the time!
(Tod failed to catch the fish and has a stick in his mouth instead.)
Tod: I got him.
(Vixey, Boomer, Dinky and the friendly porcupine watch him holding a stick.)
Boomer: (laughing) Oh, that farm boy, he don't know nothing about f-f-fishing He ain't gonna hook her that way.
(Vixey and the porcupine are also laughing in amusement.)
Vixey: (laughing) Oh, gosh! Tod, you're the funniest thing I've ever saw!
Tod: (suddenly becomes angry) Go ahead! Go ahead and laugh! (swims) You're like everyone else around here.
Vixey: (still laughing) I'm sorry. I can't help it. You are so funny.
Tod: (comes out of the water) So I can't fish! You're a silly, empty-headed...female!
Vixey: (hurt and angry) Now just a minute. I mean you've got a nerve. Why don't you grow up?
Appreciate the lady[]
Vixey: Tod, I just know you're gonna love the forest. Listen, come on. Let me show you around.
Tod: Sure.
Vixey: Come on! (giggles as she crosses a small stream)
(Tod follows her and she giggles. Meanwhile, Littlefoot and Ash are spying on Amos and Copper as they make preparations for their hunt against Tod the next day. They quietly sneak away and head back to Mrs. Tweed's barn to tell the others, who are getting ready for bed.)
Littlefoot: Okay, guys. Mr. Slade is preparing to gather his traps for his hunt for Tod tomorrow. So, let's get ourselves to bed early tonight.
Ash Ketchum: And set our alarms for 5:00 a.m. so we can get up before Mr. Slade and Copper.
(Everyone grabs their alarm clocks and sets them to 5:00 a.m.)
Squidward Tentacles: Well, so much for sleeping in tomorrow morning.
Cera: Go along with the plan, Squidward.
Mr. Krabs: Or you're fired!
Squidward Tentacles: (grumbles as he sets his alarm to 5:00 a.m.)
Misty: Okay, we're all set.
Cera: Petrie, before we go to bed, you go and tell Big Mama, Dinky, and Boomer about what Amos and Copper is planning and let them know about our plan as well. Tell them to wish us good luck on our mission.
Petrie: You got it. (flies out to tell Big Mama, Dinky, and Boomer their plan)
Grandma Longneck: Children, we had just told Mrs. Tweed everything about what's going on. And it has come to a decision that while you're away, we've decided that we'll stay here to take care of her.
Grandpa Longneck: We'll let her know that everything will be alright with Tod.
Mr. Thicknose: And we'll keep her company while you're all away.
Littlefoot: Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa. And thank you too, Mr. Thicknose. (nuzzles with his grandparents)
(Outside, Petrie finished his story about Amos and Copper's revenge plan on Tod and the story of Littlefoot and Ash's plan to stop them.)
Big Mama: Alright, darling. We understand. We'll be praying for you that things will go smoothly with Tod, Copper and the hunter. And don't forget, Tod has a mate as well. So, don't let anything happen to her too. Okay, hon?
Petrie: Sure. Thank you. (hugs her) We won't let you down, Big Mama. 'Night! (flies back to the barn) Okay, fellas, I told Big Mama and her friends, Dinky and Boomer everything about what we're doing. She understands the whole situation and wishes that things will go well for us.
Grandpa Longneck: Ah, well done, Petrie, my boy. Well done. Alright, everyone, it's time for bed.
Grandma Longneck: Good night, everyone. See you bright and early.
Everyone: Good night.
(The group fall fast asleep, ready to spring their mission into action the next day, unaware that Amos and Copper are spying on them)
Amos Slade: So those kids knows about our plans eh, Copper?
(Copper, with deep anger in his eyes, starts to go get them, but Amos stops him)
Amos Slade: Hold on, boy. I’ve decided that we’re not gonna kill them meddling kids.
(Copper gets a shocked expression on his face)
Amos Slade: Don’t worry, boy. I got another idea for those kids. I always have a “Plan B.”
(Meanwhile, back at Amos' place, Amos has arranged a private meeting with familiar foes our heroes seem to know.)
Jafar: So, old man, would you mind telling us why you summoned us here tonight?
Ursula: Is it something that important? Because if it is, then this'll be fun.
Jessie: I hope it inquires stealing the twerp's Pokémon.
James and Meowth: We hope so too. (snickers)
Sheldon J. Plankton: And I hope it inquires stealing the secret recipe from Mr. Krabs. (snickers)
(The villains laugh)
Amos Slade: I brought you all here because I want to unleash payback on a no-good, trouble-making fox.
Villains (stops laughing and are dumbfounded at Amos' revenge plans on Tod)
Sheldon J. Plankton: What? A fox?! That's why you brought us here?! Just to get payback on a stupid, rabid fox?!
Joker: You've got to be kidding me!
Maleficent: Is this some kind of a joke, old man?!
Jafar: Yeah, what do you think you're trying to pull here?!
Amos Slade: I'm not fooling anyone here, guys! I'm only doing this because that fox almost killed one of my dogs!
The Grand Duke of Owls: Bah! So what?! It's not really any of our business! What do you want us to do about it?! Huh?!
Amos Slade: I'd like you guys to help track down that fox so I can avenge my dog and have it out of my life forever. He's already caused enough trouble on my property as it already is. For I want him skinned.
Jessie: Well, you might as well forget it, you crazy old coot! We're not wasting our time going with you on some stupid hunting trip for a lousy, flea-ridden fox!
Negaduck: You got that right! Let's beat this crummy popsicle stand!
(The villains are about to head out the door.)
Amos Slade: Hey, no, wait! Wait! W-W-What if I told you that I know a certain group of annoying children who keeps defeating you?! Huh?!
(The villains stop after hearing that.)
Maleficent: What did you just say?
Amos Slade: Those meddling kids who played with my hunting dog Copper last spring. They're here in this area.
Jafar: So, you know them? Do you?
Amos Slade: Yes. I fear of them getting in my plans of killing the fox so I need you to get them out of my way. Will you guys do that, please?
Villains: Hmm... (smirk secretly and cross their fingers behind their backs)
Maleficent: Oh, yes. We'll help you, you poor unfortunate man. But in return you'll be rewarded with a better life.
Amos Slade: Really? Thank you very much! I'll prepare you all a nice, hot dinner for you right away! (chuckles gleefully)
Jessie: (whispers) Oh, no! You guys can't be serious!
James: (whispers) He's seriously lost his marbles.
Meowth: (whispers) No kidding.
(Back in the preserve, Tod and Vixey are having a fun time exploring the forest together. They come across a family of quails.)
Vixey: Look, (counts the baby quail chicks) one, two, three, four, five, six, seven. (one falls in the little puddle; she giggles) Oh, I think six would be just right.
Tod: Six? Six what?
(Vixey just giggles, and they both continue their romantic stroll together through the night. They stop at the sight of a beautiful lake with a flowing waterfall under the shimmering moonlit sky.)
Amos breaks into the game preserve/Attack[]
(The scene changes back at Mrs. Tweed's barn. Everyone is still asleep until their alarm clocks going off at 5:00 a.m. They all wake up.)
Ash Ketchum: Alright, you guys. It's time.
(Our heroes, now dressed and ready to go, sneak out of Mrs. Tweed's barn and they quietly tiptoe away from the area. Though, Squidward, being the lazy bum he is, wanted to sleep in until he is grabbed by the neck by an annoyed Mr. Krabs and Sandy. They all head off into the forest. Some of which hop into the Mystery Machine and drove off while others, who were either too big or too heavy, travelled on foot. Mrs. Tweed, who were told of their plans to defend Tod from Amos and Copper, peaked out the window.)
Mrs. Tweed: Please keep Tod safe, everyone. Don't let Amos and his dog kill him.
Grandma Longneck: He'll be fine, Mrs. Tweed. We know he will.
Eema: Well, I hope Mr. Slade's in a listening mood.
Mr. Thicknose: So do I, Eema.
Baylene: I hope so too.
Yar: Me too.
Zini: Yeah, me too.
Pilo: Of, course, we all do. But we should also hope that Copper would be in a listening mood as well.
Neera: Yes. Remember, he's just as blinded with rage as Mr. Slade is. Because he wants revenge on Tod more than the old hunter. (sighs sadly) It's a sad shame that those two started out as best friends since they were very small. But now it all comes down to this.
Yar: Yep. Two friends who start out as close besties now end up becoming the bitterest of enemies in the end.
Fflewddur Fflam: You said it, Yar, old boy. I just hope things will turn out okay.
Pilo: We all hope so, Fflewddur.
Suri: Mom, I don't like this. I'm scared.
Pilo: There, there, Suri. Tod's gonna be alright. We promise he will.
(Boomer, Dinky, and Big Mama look on from their tree as our heroes head off to the game preserve. Boomer and Dinky are immensely worried while Big Mama remained calm.)
Big Mama: Good luck to you all.
(Our heroes continue traveling down the road until they are far away from Amos' house and Mrs. Tweed's barn. They continue traveling until they finally reach the gate to the game preserve.)
Fred Jones: Okay, gang. We're here.
(They hop out of the Mystery Machine. The preserve really is dark, foggy and dreary looking.)
Shaggy Rogers: Zoinks.... This is so spooky....
Scooby-Doo: Yeah, spooky....
Littlefoot: Alright, guys. Listen up. We're gonna have to hide here and wait until Mr. Slade and Copper get here.
Ash Ketchum: And when they do, we're gonna find them and calmly talk them out of hunting Tod. So, whatever you do, do not pick a fight with either of them. That means you, Mr. Krabs.
Mr. Krabs: Aww....
Daphne Blake: But first, we need to hide our van so they won't know that we're here.
Misty: Great idea, Daphne.
Ash Ketchum: Okay Mom, you know what to do?
Delia Ketchum: Yes dear, call Mewtwo and the 100 Acre Wood Rebel Alliance so we can spring the trap for Amos. Then it’s off to jail for him and his dogs.
Ash Ketchum: Great. Good luck. (walks into the reserve with the others)
Delia Ketchum: (worried) Be careful, son.
(scene fades to Amos, Copper and the villains arrive at a wired fence where the sign said, "No hunting.")
Amos Slade: (reading sign) "No hunting." Well, now. We ain't gonna do none of that are we, Copper? We're just gonna get ourselves a no-good fox. (cackles and cuts the wired fence)
Jessie: (whispers) Oh, brother. All this revenge planning for a stupid fox? What's the point? This is a total waste of our valuable time.
James: (whispers) You can say that again. This old man is deluded and has anger issues. He needs some serious help.
Meowth: (whispers) Tell me about it. Who cares about a worthless little fox? Grow up that's what I say?
Jafar: (whispers) Shh! Just play along. When the time comes, we'll ditch that old man when we get the chance.
Ursula: (whispers) And besides, he's not worth the trouble.
(The villains smirk secretly as they plan to ditch Amos when the time comes.)
Amos Slade: (upon finishing cutting the wired fence) Alright, boy, get tracking. Smell 'em out.
(Copper, with deep anger in his eyes, begins the hunt and starts sniffing around for Tod. The villains, with Amos, who carries his deadly animal traps, reluctantly follow the disgruntled hunter and his dog behind them. Petrie, who was spying on Amos and Copper on a tree, become nervous and they quietly fly off. Several minutes later, he arrives back at our heroes.)
Petrie: They're here, you guys. They've brought traps that are far dangerous than before. And also, we have an even bigger problem. He's brought reinforcements with him: our own enemies.
Ash Ketchum: Oh, no! The villains are with Copper and Mr. Slade!
Pikachu: Pika!
Guildo: What are they doing here with them?!
Misty: Who cares?! We still gotta stop them!
Brock: And we will, Misty!
Cera: Then this means we'll have to go on a hunt of our own! But a manhunt for Mr. Slade, Copper and our enemies!
Littlefoot: Exactly, Cera! Alright, guys, let's hurry and go find them! And fast!
Delia Ketchum: Children! Children, I had just informed Mewtwo and the 100 Acre Wood Rebel Alliance about what's happening, and they said they're on their way.
Ash Ketchum: That's great, Mom!
(Our heroes exclaim with excitement)
Delia Ketchum: They should be here any minute now.
Littlefoot: I hope they don't bring suspicions to Mr. Slade and Copper once they get here.
Squidward: Mrs. Ketchum, are you sure you've brought reinforcements and that they're coming to help us? Because we've been waiting for them for nearly two hours.
Delia Ketchum: Just be patient, Squidward. It takes time for them to travel from long distant places.
Squidward Tentacles: (groans impatiently)
Misty: (seeing something in the sky and suddenly gasps in excitement) Wait a minute, guys! I think I see them! Look! Here they come! They're here! They're here!
-
-
Ash Ketchum: Let's split up and look for them in different directions. Half of you look for them this way. Half of you look for them that way. The rest of us will look for them in a different way. Now, come on! Let's hurry and get this done! We don't have much time to waste!
(The heroes spread out and begin to go on a manhunt for Amos, Copper and the villains. Meanwhile, the villains, Amos, and Copper continue to track Tod down. But our heroes are on a hunt of their own: for Amos, Copper, and the villains so they could stop them. The porcupine, who had just met Tod earlier, hid inside his tree and spies on Amos and Copper on their hunt. Back to our heroes, they continue their manhunt for Amos, Copper and the villains.)
Scooby-Doo: (sniffs around) Mm-mmm. (continues sniffing to track down Amos, Copper, and the villains)
(Our heroes and villains continue each other's hunt separately for a while.)
Littlefoot: Any luck, guys?
Shaggy Rogers: Like, we don't think so.
Scooby-Doo: Uh-uh.
Ash Ketchum: They could be anywhere around the game preserve.
Pikachu: Pikachu.
(Just then, Ash feels a gentle tap on his ankle it was a friendly porcupine.)
Porcupine: Uh, pardon me, everyone. Are you all looking for someone?
Littlefoot: Huh?
Ash Ketchum: (surprised) Hmm?
(The heroes turned to see the porcupine,)
Petrie: (gasps) Who's that?
Bugs Bunny: (whispers) It's a porcupine.
(Petrie hides behind Littlefoot's leg shaking with fear.)
Porcupine: (kindly) Don't be frightened, little fella. I mean you and your friends no harm. (Petrie sighs in relief) May I ask, who you all are?
(Ash kneels down to talk to the porcupine.)
Ash Ketchum: We're friends of a fox named Tod.
Pikachu: (agreeing) Pikachu.
Porcupine: I see. May I also ask, who are you all looking for?
Ash Ketchum: We're looking for a grumpy old hunter and his hunting dog who had just entered the game preserve.
Porcupine: A grumpy old hunter and his hunting dog, you say?
Littlefoot and Ash: Mmm-hmm.
Porcupine: So, tell me, children, what brings this grumpy old hunter and his hunting dog here?
Cera: They're planning to seek revenge on Tod whom they think did something unforgivable on purpose. But in reality, it was really an accident.
Porcupine: (shocked) Is that so?
Ducky: Yep, yep, yep.
Porcupine: What also brings you children here exactly?
Taran: We're here to stop them from killing our friend for that meaningless reason. Have you, by any chance, seen them wandering around here?
Princess Eilonwy: In this game preserve, little fella?
Porcupine: Why, yes, miss, I certainly did and they both went that way. Be very careful. They could be dangerous. And watch out for my neighbor, Mr. Digger.
Daffy Duck: Who's he?
Porcupine: Shh. (whispers) He's a badger. He's also grumpy and rude like the hunter you've mentioned. So, I wouldn't interact with him if were you. He hates visitors. (points to Mr. Digger who is sleeping)
Ash Ketchum: (whispers) Oh, okay. (shakes his paw) Thank you, Mr. Porcupine.
Porcupine: My pleasure.
Littlefoot: Come on, guys. Let's get going.
Bagheera: Yes, now, there's no time to lose. So, remember, everyone, keep your distance away from the badger.
(The other heroes quietly agree.)
Porcupine: (waving) Good luck, everyone.
(The heroes quietly continue without waking up Mr. Digger.)
Daffy Duck: (quietly whispers to Bugs Bunny) Sheesh! Is everybody in this county always having anger issues about something?
Bugs Bunny: (quietly whispers; shrugs) I don't know.
(Our heroes continue their manhunt. Meanwhile, Amos and the villains are still on the hunt until Copper sniffs something, then realizes, and growls at something.)
Amos Slade: Whatcha got there, Copper? (puts down his foothold traps) Good work, boy. He'll be coming right through here heading for water. But he won't be drinking any.
Sheldon J. Plankton: (groans quietly; whispers) That deluded old coot! How long must we put up with this?
Jafar: (whispers) Shh! Patience, my friends. Patience.
Maleficent: (whispers) Yes, we will have our chance. So, just wait a little longer. That old man will seal his doom soon enough.
(Our heroes peak through a cliff, spot Amos and Copper, and gasp.)
Cera: (whispers) There they are! Just like what the porcupine said.
Brock: (whispers) And they brought reinforcements. Just like you said Iago.
Iago: (whispers) Yes.
Ash Ketchum: (whispers) Okay, here's the plan. When they go to attack Tod, we'll spring into action, pin Mr. Slade and his dog down, and talk them out of their revenge hunt. Okay? (The group agrees.) Now, let's all wait until our foxy friend comes by here.
(Meanwhile, Tod comes out of a burrow and stretches himself after a long sleep.)
Tod: What a beautiful morning, Vixey. You know, I've never been happier.
Vixey: Oh, Tod, me too. (nuzzles Tod's nose, runs around the flower field and giggles)
(Tod follows her and laughs. The two happy foxes laugh and wander off into the other part of the forest. Back at Amos and Copper, Amos set up a series of foothold traps all over the ground for him to capture Tod.)
Amos Slade: That does it. (finishes the last one) Amos, you crafty old coot. (cackles) The devil himself couldn't have done no better! Right, guys? (cackles)
Villains: (groans in disgust at the deluded old hunter)
(The sight of those deadly traps terrified our heroes so much that it made them become even more scared of Amos, seeing that he's completely lost it.)
Taran: (whispers) He's completely lost his mind!
Bugs Bunny: (whispers) You can say that again! He's got those deadly traps everywhere for Tod to step on! This looks like madness!
Misty: (whispers) Hey, Brock, w-w-what exactly are those things anyway? They look savage and dangerous from the way they look.
Brock: (whispers) I've seen these before. Those things are jaw traps. If anything or anyone steps into the trap, it could break their foot, leg or ankle.
(Our heroes gasp quietly in horror.)
Princess Eilonwy: (whispers) That's barbaric!
Littlefoot: (whispers) Alright, guys. This is it. When Tod comes around and Mr. Slade begin their hunt, we will begin ours. But peacefully and painlessly.
(Back at Tod and Vixey, they stop at a dark and spooky area of the forest.)
Vixey: Tod? Tod, wait a minute.
Tod: What is it, Vixey?
Vixey: I don't want to go in there. It's too quiet.
Tod: Ah, Vixey.
(Amos covers the traps with leaves so they can blend into the ground. Copper growls as he senses something.)
Amos Slade: What?
(Our heroes see something as well and gasp at what they saw. It was their friend, Tod! The fox they hadn't seen since Mrs. Tweed dropped him off two days prior to Amos and Copper's monstrous hunt.)
Ducky: There's Tod!
Littlefoot and Ash: (whispers) Shh!
SpongeBob: (whispers) Ducky, quiet!
(Tod wanders into the area alone.)
Vixey: Tod, be careful.
(Tod cautiously looks around as he walks closer and closer. Slowly, he grows more and more afraid.)
Ash Ketchum: (whispers) Shh.... Here he comes....
(Tod rounds a bend. Amos is hiding behind a rock, his gun ready. As Tod walks along, he just barely misses stepping in a jaw trap. He stops and looks around. Our heroes look on with fear.)
SpongeBob & Patrick: (gulp nervously)
Pikachu: (fearful) Pika....
Ducky and Petrie: (whimper in fear)
Littlefoot and Ash: (a bit anxious) Hmm...
(Amos cocks his gun. Tod grows alert. Quickly looking around, he steps backward and sets off the cast iron steel trap, which suddenly snap shut behind him. He jumps up scared, making our heroes gasps in horror. Tod breaks into a run, setting off more of deadly traps that all snap shut. Amos aims and fires his gun. He misses. He fires and misses again as Copper chases after Tod, who sets off the final trap.)
Amos Slade: Dagblast it! He's gettin' away!
Littlefoot: Oh, no! Tod!
Ash Ketchum: Alright, this is it, guys! They're on the move! Come on! Let's go!
(Our heroes begin following Amos and Copper as they prepare to stop them from hunting Tod.)
Tod: Quick, Vixey!
(Tod and Vixey make haste and run off. Cut back to our heroes.)
Littlefoot: Team 1 will handle the villains!
Ash Ketchum: Team 2 will handle Mr. Slade! The rest of us will handle Copper!
Littlefoot and Ash: Get to your positions, people! Let's go, go, go!!!
Ash Ketchum: We want to settle this violent hunt as painlessly as possible, guys!
Littlefoot: So, let's hurry and get this done quick!
(Our heroes split up into three separate groups to complete their assignments. Meanwhile, Officer Jenny is having breakfast in her cabin and hears the sound of Amos' gunshot from his rifle.)
Officer Jenny: (hears gunshot) Huh? What was that? (opens the window and looks outside; takes out a pair of binoculars, looks through them and sees Amos and Copper down there chasing Tod and Vixey; gasps) A hunter?! Trespassing in the game preserve?! (growls, runs out of her cabin and jumps onto her motor bike) This is why I didn't join the force for nothing! Because when it comes to hooligans breaking the law like him, this is personal! (puts on her shades) You ready, Growlithe?
Growlithe: Growlithe!
Officer Jenny: Let's ride! (rides off to go confront the mad hunter and his dog)
-
Tod: Go on! Head for the burrow!
-
Officer Jenny: (finds the foothold traps on the ground) Growlithe, track our offender down.
(Growlithe sniffs the foothold trap and catches Amos and Copper's scent.)
Officer Jenny: They're close.
-
(Fred, Daphne and Velma drive their van in front of Amos to stop him.)
Fred Jones: (furiously) Mr. Slade, stop this!
Velma Dinkley: Stop it right now!
Daphne Blake: This is madness, and you know it!
Amos Slade: (annoyed) Shut up! I don't care what you say to stop me! All I want is that fox! And I want him dead! (hears sirens and sees Officer Jenny approaching in her motor bike) What the?! Oh, great! It's the police!
Officer Jenny: (over speaker) Hands in the air, old man!
Amos Slade: (growls angrily and pushes Fred, Daphne and Velma aside) Out of my way!
(He runs faster to get away from Officer Jenny.)
Daphne Blake: Mr. Slade, no! Wait!
Velma Dinkley: Stop!
Fred Jones: Come back!
(But the old hunter ignores them and continues running after Tod.)
Officer Jenny: Ooh! I got me a runner! Hold on tight, Growlithe! (revs up her motor bike and continues her drive)
Daphne Blake: He's not gonna listen to us! He's blinded by his temper!
Velma Dinkley: We have to keep trying, Daphne.
Fred Jones: Exactly. After him, gang!
(They hop into their Mystery Machine and drive after the angry old hunter. Meanwhile, Tod is on a higher rock, ready to fight his former best friend. He jumps down. Tod and Copper growl viciously at each other in a horrible standoff. Copper attacks with a bite, but misses as Tod dodges. Tod manages to attack Copper by biting his neck, causing him to yelp in pain. After recovering, Copper continues to chase Tod, but is halted by Ash and Pikachu. Copper growls at them angrily. They both got really scared, knowing he's not the dog they knew.)
Pikachu: (uneasily) Pika....
Ash Ketchum: (in his thoughts) Copper.... What has Mr. Slade done to you?! He's turned you into something you're not!
(Copper continues to growl at him.)
Ash Ketchum: (groans) I'm sorry, Copper! As much as it pains me to do this to you, you and Mr. Slade lead me no choice! Pikachu, Thunderbolt him!
Pikachu: Pika?!
Ash Ketchum: Just do it!
Pikachu: Pika...
(Pikachu jumps onto Copper's back and, after a brief struggle when Copper tried to shake him off, reluctantly prepares to shock the angry dog.)
Pikachu: (charges his electricity) PIKACHU!!!!! (zaps Copper with all his might)
(Copper yelps in pain. Ash groans, turns away, and starts shedding tears, unable to bear it, but fails to cry. Copper now collapses and is now dazed.)
Pikachu: (worried) Pika.
Ash Ketchum: (wipes away his tears and pulls himself together) I hope you can forgive me for doing that to you, Copper, but it was the only way to get it through your senses! We're doing this for your own good! Whether you and Mr. Slade like it or not!
(Ash turns away and runs back to his friends.)
Pikachu: (sympathetically towards Copper) Pikachu.... (runs with Ash)
(Copper suddenly wakes up and recuperates from Pikachu's Thunderbolt. Ash and Pikachu catch up with his friends.)
Littlefoot: Ash, what happened?
Cera: Yeah, what's going on?
Ash Ketchum: Copper is behaving like a vengeful monster!
Pikachu: Pikachu!
-
(Copper begins to violently dig through the burrow, but is too big to try and get in.)
Tod: Quick, Vixey. Out the back!
(Tod and Vixey go out the backway. They make out the back until suddenly...)
Vixey: Tod!
(Amos shoots at them with all his might. They head back into the burrow and dodge the incoming bullets.)
Brock: GET HIM!!!
(Brock, Taran, and Shaggy tackle Amos to the ground and try to pin him down. Shaggy kicks away the gun.)
Taran: Leave him alone, Mr. Slade! Don't make us hurt you and your dog!
Brock: You don't have to do this! It doesn't have to be this way!
Shaggy Rogers: This isn't right, Mr. Slade! You can still settle this, but in another way!
Amos Slade: Talk all you want! I don't care! All I want is that fox to be dead!
(Copper continues to viciously dig through the burrow.)
Vixey: (scared) Oh! Oh, no, Tod!
(Tod growls at Copper and bites at him in the leg, causing him to yelp in pain. But mad as he is, he goes back in to dig some more. Suddenly, Copper is pulled back out and thrown backwards by someone. It was Scooby-Doo and Kenai! They prepare to fight him, but are no match for Copper, who doesn't care about them. He was more focused on killing Tod. Copper is about to make his way back to the burrow. However, Bugs and Daffy appeared, pounced onto Copper, and pinned him down.)
Bugs Bunny: Copper, stop it! You've gotta listen to us!
Daffy Duck: It doesn't have to be this way! You can't kill Tod for a meaningless reason! This isn't who you are!
(But angry as an alligator, Copper just ignores them and breaks free.)
Amos Slade: Get off of me! (shakes Brock, Taran, and Shaggy off and grabs his gun)
SpongeBob: It's no use! Copper and Mr. Slade won't listen to us!
Squidward Tentacles: I'll say! They're really thick-headed!
Littlefoot: Don't give up, guys! We just have to keep holding them back! Even if it kills us!
Mr. Krabs: Yah!!! (tackles Copper to the ground) I got him! I got him!
Ash Ketchum: Hold him down, Mr. Krabs! SpongeBob and Patrick, grab onto his hindlegs!
SpongeBob and Patrick: Okay! (they grab Copper's hindlegs)
SpongeBob SquarePants: Copper, it's us! Your friends, SpongeBob and Patrick!
Patrick Star: Please, Copper! I can't afford dry cleaning!
(Tod and Vixey peak out through the burrow.)
Vixey: (gasps upon seeing Littlefoot, Ash and the gang fighting off Copper and Amos in an attempt to calm them down) Tod, who are those guys?
Tod: Now's not the time to explain, Vixey! We'll talk about it later! Right now, get back down! (they duck back down into the burrow)
(Mr. Krabs, SpongeBob, and Patrick struggle to hold Copper down as best as they could.)
Mr. Krabs: Copper, easy, boy-o! Stop! Come on, SpongeBob and Patrick! If you can't hold down the hindlegs, then give me a hand with his head!
Cera: I'll pin down his back! (body slams Copper to the ground) Hold still, you stubborn canine!
Littlefoot: Squidward, give me your mirror.
Squidward Tentacles: What?!
Littlefoot: JUST GIVE IT TO ME!!!
Squidward: Alright, alright! (gives Littlefoot the mirror) Sheesh!
(Littlefoot holds up the mirror for Copper to look at his reflection.)
Littlefoot: Look at your reflection, Copper! Look at what you're becoming! Is this really what you want to be?!
(Copper stops squirming and stares at his reflection. But Copper still refuses to reconsider and shakes SpongeBob, Cera, and his friends off. He then proceeds to dig through to burrow to get to Tod.)
Misty: He's so stubborn! He just won't stop until he wants Tod dead!
Cera: He's becoming like Mr. Slade!
Sandy Cheeks: Looks like it's up to me now! I'll see if I can knock some sense into that stubborn old hound dog with a little old-fashion Texas rodeo!
(Sandy runs up to Copper, who is still angrily digging through the burrow to reach Tod.)
Sandy Cheeks: (twirls her rope and lassoes the angry dog out of the burrow) Yee-haw!! I got him, fellers! (Copper tries to break free, but Sandy pulls him back) Oh, no, you don't! (grunts) Come here, you ill-tempered varmint! (ties the rope to a root to a nearby tree) You stay right there!
-
(Copper uses his teeth to cut himself loose and goes back to the burrow to dig himself into it to get to Tod.)
Ducky: He's still going for Tod!
Sebastian: We'll get him to stop! Let's go, Gurgi! (crawls up to Copper's back and pinches his tail while Gurgi bites one of his hindlegs, causing him to yelp in pain)
-
(Back to Amos, he tries to shoot Tod and Vixey again, but is tackled by Baloo. The old man picks up his gun and goes for the den. But red in the face as Baloo grabs him and tries to hold him down, Amos then kicks Baloo in the face and goes back to the burrow.)
Baloo: (rubs his nose) Ouch! Now, that hurt!
Bagheera: I say! That gentleman is not fighting fair!
(Copper continues to dig through the burrow, but is pulled out by Jack Skellington. The angry dog barks viciously as the Pumpkin King holds him tightly.)
Ash Ketchum: Copper!
Littlefoot: Copper!
Littlefoot and Ash: Copper, stop!!
Brock: Cut it out, Copper!
Misty: Copper, please! We know you and Mr. Slade are upset about Chief's condition, but you've got to calm down!
Abu: (screeches in agreement)
Princess Jasmine: Please calm yourself, Copper!
Iago: GET THE DOG'S MOUTH CLOSED!! DON'T LET HIM BITE ANYONE!! (screams as he nearly gets bitten by the enraged Copper)
Aladdin: Genie, put a muzzle on him! Quick!
Genie: I'm on it, Al! I'm sorry, Copper, old boy! But this is for your own good!
(Genie uses his powers to place a muzzle on Copper in order to shut his mouth and stop his barking. But despite his powers being unable to work, Genie gasps as the angry dog continues to arrogantly squirm himself free from Jack's boney grip.)
Jack Skellington: Thank you, Genie. (to Copper as he struggles to break himself free) Shh! Copper! Take it easy! We do not want to hurt you! And you know deep down you do not want to hurt Tod! But please listen to us when we tell you this! Killing Tod out of meaningless bloodshed won't make you and Mr. Slade who you are! He's your best friend! He'd never do anything to hurt anyone, and you know it's true!
-
Cera: Uh, guys? Problem....
(Amos grabs some dried plants, lights them with a match and sets the burrow on fire to trap Tod and Vixey.)
-
-
Officer Jenny: (gasps upon seeing Amos setting the burrow on fire in an attempt to trap and hunt Tod and Vixey; growls angrily) That makes him a dual offender! That old man is so going down!
Amos Slade: (cackles) Copper! Copper! We got 'em now for sure! This is their only way out! Steady, boy. (Copper growls) Steady. Get ready.
Littlefoot and Ash: NOW!!!
(Everyone pounces on Amos and Copper, fully restraining them both. Amos tries to grab his gun, but misses when Scooby takes it from him.)
Bagheera: This has gone far enough, Copper and Mr. Slade! The madness must stop!
-
-
Vixey: Tod, (coughs) we're trapped!
(Some embers nearly fell on top of them.)
Vixey: Tod, I'm scared! (coughs)
Tod: Quick, Vixey! This is our only chance! (he and Vixey jump through the fire in the back hole, but are unharmed)
Littlefoot and Ash: (react in surprise) Huh?!
Heroes: (exclaim in surprise)
Amos Slade: (shocked) No! No, I don't believe it! (stomps on Brock's foot)
Brock: Ouch!
Mr. Krabs: (gets poked in the eyes by Amos) Ahh! Me eyes!
-
Squidward Tentacles: Enough's enough! Best friends or not, I don't care if Tod and Copper are supposed to be enemies!
=
-
Jack Skellington: (reads sign) "Warning: Bear in area. Avoid being caught, dodge pulled over, and miss getting eaten, and don't provoke him."
(Our heroes gasp in horror at this revelation.)
Shaggy Rogers: Like, there's a bear here?!
Fred Jones: Oh, no. This is gonna go from bad to worse, gang! He doesn't know what he and Copper are getting themselves into!
Bagheera: And they don't know what they're gonna be up against once they run into that bear! We gotta warn them!
-
(Our heroes see Amos and Copper climb up the ridge while chasing Tod)
Jack Skellngton: There they are! Mr. Slade, Copper, stop!
Princess Jasmine: Don't you dare go up there, mister!
Aladdin: Mr. Slade, no, it's too dangerous!
Ash Ketchum: You can't go into that area! There's a big grizzly bear sleeping in there!
Aladar: If you go there and fire your gun, you'll end up provoking it and you'll end up getting yourself and Copper killed!
Princess Eilonwy: So, come down, this instant!
Daffy Duck: Yeah! Get down from there, you big, stubborn, thick-headed, old lummox!
(But Amos just arrogantly ignored them, and despite their warnings, he and Copper continue to hunt for Tod and Vixey up the ridge near the waterfall.)
Princess Eilonwy: How stubborn can he get?!
Taran: He just won't stop until he and Copper make sure that Tod is dead.
Littlefoot: Come on! We have to stop him!
(Tod and Vixey frantically search for a safe place to hide, but cross to the other side over some logs. Copper runs up the ridge, barking. Copper smelled around, hoping to catch their scent, but, to his horror and surprise, it turns out to be something else.)
Amos Slade: Copper, we've trapped him now. (gasps in horror as a large shadow looms over him)
(Suddenly, as what our heroes try to warn them about earlier, a giant black grizzly bear appears before Amos and Copper and lets out a loud, mighty roar. The heroes gasp in horror upon seeing the angry bear. Especially with his ginormous size.)
Daffy Duck: Whoa! That bear is huge!
Bug Bunny: Yeah, and really looks pretty angry.
Bagheera: Everyone stay back. That creature is to enormous and far too powerful to defeat.
(Amos fires his gun at the bear, but the shot only leaves him a scratch by nicking his shoulder. The bear is even more furious, growls, and goes to attack Amos and Copper, and lumbers forward toward the alarmed hunter, who backs away and drops some ammo. Our heroes could do nothing but watch everything in pure horror. Amos manages to reload his gun, and attempts to shoot again, but fails when the bear whacks the gun out of the hunter's hands and makes him tumble down the ridge and causes him to lose his hat in the process. His gun lands on a little bush and is caught on a tree sapling. As the angry grizzly bear draws closer, Amos looks up to see the bear approaching, gets up, and backs away fearfully, but yelps in pain, and has got his foot caught in his own foothold trap, that is one of his own leghold traps.)
The Villains ditch Amos/ Tod's Final Battle with the bear[]
Amos Slade: Hey, guys! Quick! Get me out of here! Please! (the villains look at each other and smirk, seeing the perfect opportunity to abandon him) What are you waiting for?! Help me!
Maleficent: Oh, we're dreadfully sorry, Amos Slade. We'd love to help you out, but unfortunately there's been a change of plans. For you see, we have a mission of our own: to destroy our own enemies and total world domination.
Amos Slade: Huh?! You mean you're.... you're leaving me?! After everything I've done for you?! This isn't fair! We had a deal! I trusted all of you! You said we were in this together! You promised me you'd give me a better life with luxury!
Jafar: Maybe you should've thought about it before you became a poor, mountain man!
Ursula: Bah! Forget about him, guys. He's not worth it. Come on! Let's get outta here!
Sheldon J. Plankton: You got that right! He's bear chow now!
Team Rocket: So long, old man! (Meowth: (quietly) You're gonna need it.)
(The villains cackle evilly, abandon Amos, and leave him and Copper to die at the mercy of the agitated grizzly bear.)
Amos Slade: (scared) No, don't leave me! Please, guys, come back!! Save me!!!
(Amos' leg is caught, and when he struggles to free it, the bear comes toward him, still furious of the intruders, who aren't leaving his territory, only to fail to kill him when Copper comes to Amos' defense.)
Amos Slade: Copper! Help me!! I'm badly injured!!!
(Copper ends up fighting the bear, only to get overpowered while only the beast's back, snarling at the beast, and biting into his neck, hoping bravely to protect his injured master, and raking his teeth across the bear's muzzle to create a deep wound. Tod hears Copper's yelp.)
Vixey: Tod!
(The heroes are deeply horrified as the bear closes in on Copper, but just then, in the moment in which he will kill Copper, Tod comes to Copper's defense and fights with the giant by jumping on his back and biting into him, successfully saving Copper.)
Princess Eilonwy: (notices Tod) Guys, look!
Taran: Hey, is that-?
Littlefoot: (gasps upon seeing Tod) It is! It's Tod!
Ash Ketchum: (gasps) Tod?! Where, where?!
Littlefoot: Up there!
Petrie: Oh, me, can't watch!
(The heroes look on as Tod fights the much larger bear and ends up luring him onto the log. The bear raises his paw to swipe him, but fails when the log then breaks and causes Tod and the bear to fall over the waterfall.)
Copper apologizes to Littlefoot, Ash and friends/Standing up to Amos[]
(An exhausted and weakened Tod comes out of lake and collapses onto the banks. Our heroes rush over to aid him.)
Littlefoot: Tod!
Princess Eilonwy: Oh, Tod! Oh, you poor darling! Oh....
Misty: He's badly hurt.
Brock: Here, I'll see what I can do to help him.
(Brock takes a first-aid kit out and uses it to help tend Tod's wounds.)
Ash Ketchum: Aww.... (sighs as he sympathizes and gently strokes the injured fox) That humongous bear nearly beat the life out of you and Copper.
Bagheera: You've fought a brave fight to the end, son. We're proud of you.
(Just then Copper arrived.)
Copper: (worried) Tod?
Heroes: Copper?
(Our heroes prepare themselves to defend Tod from Copper.)
Copper: (sighs remorsefully) No need to be alarmed, everyone. I'm not here to hurt him and I don't care about that anymore.
Heroes: (gasps and they look at each other in confusion at Copper's new behavior)
Copper: In fact, guys, I owe you a huge apology for my behavior.
(Our heroes then walk over to Copper to question him about the reason behind his monstrous behavior.)
Littlefoot: Why were you doing this, Copper?
Copper: Because I was trained to be a hunting dog.
(Ash felt shaken upon learning Copper's accusation against Tod and kneels down to him.)
Ash Ketchum: (on the verge of tears) Copper, please listen to us. Tod didn't have anything to do with Chief getting injured in the first place. He wasn't trying to hurt him in any other way. None of that was his fault. It was just an accident.
Pikachu: Pika.
Copper: Yes, I realize that now, Ash. But I didn't want Chief and my master to get angry.
Misty: How could you have been so foolish to blame Tod for something he would never do, Copper? He's your best friend.
Brock: And as a best friend, you don't blame others for something they've never done wrong.
Cera: And hatred and revenge doesn't solve anything, Copper. Those kinds of things are pointless.
Littlefoot: As Tod's best friend, you should've at least forgiven him and considered the events from the other night as an accident instead. Also, being great at something like being a hunter or a hunting dog doesn't give you or your master the right to do bad things. And no matter how you look at it, hatred and revenge can lead to disastrous results.
(Copper thinks back as the flashback occurs from the other night of Chief's injury with Copper shouting furiously at Tod, swearing revenge then the flashback ends he gasps as he felt ashamed for blaming his own best friend. Copper bows his head in shame regretting all of his actions.)
Copper: (in his thoughts) What am I doing? I've been turned into something I'm not. (sighs) You're right, guys, I am foolish. I-I never thought of it that way. I'm so sorry.
(A remorseful Ash began to cry since Copper's monstrous behavior hurts him so much he and Pikachu didn't want to hurt him. Copper looks at them with deep sympathy upon seeing him cry he placed his paw onto Ash's shoulder gently while comforting him.)
Copper: (soothingly) Come here, little buddy. Why are you crying?
Ash Ketchum: (crying) Because you weren't your old happy-go-lucky self, Copper. The Copper we all grew to love was always happy, lovable and very playful. But from with we've seen with that new attitude of yours, it just wasn't you at all. It was like you became a totally different dog. Like you became a horrible, wild beast who would not show mercy to anybody. Or even worse: a heartless, bloodthirsty monster who only cares about vengeance and nothing else. (the team lower their heads in sadness; sniffs) I'm sorry I had Pikachu shock you. And we're all sorry we attacked you.
Pikachu: (nestling Copper's leg) Pika.
Copper: Aww, that's okay, Ash. I know you and everyone else never meant to hurt me. And Pikachu. (licks Pikachu on the head) Ash, will you, Littlefoot, and your friends forgive me for the way I acted?
Ash Ketchum: (voice cracking while shedding tears) Yeah, we forgive you.
(Ash hugs Copper as he continues crying then hugs back as he placed his chin onto Ash's shoulder.)
Copper: (gently) Hey, shhh, it's okay. Pull yourself together, Ash. I'll never attack you and your friends anymore. Everything's gonna be okay, little buddy. (licking Ash's tears on his face)
Ash Ketchum: (stops crying) You promise?
Copper: Yes, Ash, I promise.
(The other heroes look on smiling upon seeing Copper back to his old self again. They huddle together and hug him as well. But suddenly, their happy moment was cut short when they hear a cocking sound. It was none other than Amos Slade! He positioned his gun at the wounded fox, ready to shoot him one final time. Our heroes are deeply horrified that Amos is still betting on killing Tod, even after all that he and Copper had been through. Copper jumps out of Ash's arms, stands over Tod in front of the gun and pleadingly stares at his owner.)
Amos Slade: Come on, Copper! Get out of the way!
(Ash and Littlefoot stare at each other in shock and surprise. Amos is not even the least grateful that Tod saved him and Copper from the bear. They both grow angry and decide once and for all to take a stand for the injured fox. They march over to the pond and stand between to aid Copper in protecting Tod from the angry old man.)
Ash Ketchum: Amos Slade, you are a cranky, old fool! Tod just saved you and Copper's lives, and this is how you repay him?! Are you that desperate to kill him after his brave actions?!
Littlefoot: Talk about adding insult to injury for an ungrateful, grumpy old man like you! Can't you at least show a little decency or at least some mercy?! I mean just look at him! He's already injured and hurt from falling down the waterfall! Sure, you may say he is just a fox but he's more than that! What you don't understand is that Tod's been Copper's best friend since they were puppies! But all you tried to do was keep them apart by hunting down Tod and making Copper into a hunting dog so they can be mortal enemies!
Ash Ketchum: Look, we get that you're mad about what happened to Chief the other night, but none of that was Tod's fault at all! He had no intention of hurting him in the first place! He didn't do it on purpose! It was an accident! There is no such thing as a bad fox and Tod is nothing like that! Because if you kill Tod now, none of this won't matter any other way! This would instead lead to pointless bloodshed! Mr. Slade, Mrs. Tweed warned that your temper would lead you into serious trouble one day, but you never listened. And we warned you there was a dangerous bear living in a cave up on the ridge next to that waterfall, but you and Copper never listened. Do you not realize how hurtful it was to us when you severed their friendship, tore it to pieces, and pitted them against each other for your own selfish interests?
Littlefoot: And did it ever occurred to you that your obsession with revenge while pitting Copper and Tod against each other ultimately led to putting yourself in danger that almost caused you both to getting yourself killed? I mean haven't you ever had a really special friend in your life once? A friend who always had your back, looked up to you, understood you, relied on you, and asked for your help when needed? Do you understand what it's like to have a close friendship with someone?
Aladar: (steps up to help them) Mr. Slade, for once in your life, you have got to listen to us. We didn't come here just to protect Tod. We came here because we wanted to help Copper and to help you see through the error of your ways. (Amos groans in frustration and tries to ignore this by turning his eyes away) Mr. Slade. Mr. Slade, look at us. Look at us! (he reluctantly turns his eyes back at them) You're just a grumpy old man who got pushed to the edge. We can understand that.
Amos Slade: (snaps) No! You don't understand! That fox almost killed my hunting dog! He's ruined my life long enough as it is! Somebody has to stop that little creature or else he'll just keep causing pain in my life! And shooting him is the only way to put an end to this!!
Aladar: (firmly) Mr. Slade, STOP IT! (calmly) Just stop it. (sighs) Look, we know it feels like the only way to make things right is to cause the same exactly pain and suffering as he unintentionally caused you. But there is a way better option than this, Mr. Slade. Killing Tod for a senseless reason won't make you and Copper who you are. You're better than that. This is not the way to settle things here. If Chief was here right now, he would not have wanted this. It won't change anything for the three of you. Look at Tod, Mr. Slade. Look at him. Come on, look at him. He's wounded from his battle against the bear. He's bleeding. Okay? He's just as hurt as you, Copper and Chief are. Just because your hunting dog got hurt from an accident doesn't give you the right to hurt Tod back. Because hurting Tod will only make it worse. (brief silence) And not only that, but he's also terrified. He didn't deserve any of this. What you and Copper did to him was monstrous. Your lust for vengeance had turned the two of you into something you're both not. Was that pointless violence really all worth it for just revenge itself? Even if you shoot him now at his most vulnerable state, especially after he risked his very life for you and Copper, then what point does that prove anyway? What would you gain if you kill Tod? The fox who had just saved your life and Copper's life? Would you really earn happiness, peace, and justice? Through violence? Through hate, rage, and anger? Through merciless bloodshed? (Amos' face begins to soften as his anger slowly starts to dissipate. In the process, he nervously grips his gun very tight, now conflicted than ever.) Look, you want peace, right? You want happiness, right? You want to settle things as quickly as possible, right? Right? (Amos nods his head in response, but with deep sadness and fear in his eyes.) There is an easier way to end this, Mr. Slade. So, if you really want to finish this, the only thing for to do is to let him go. Okay? Do you understand that? And if you let him go, then you'll be happy. And Chief will be happy. Copper will be happy. Mrs. Tweed back at home will be happy. All of us will be happy. And most of all, Tod will be happy as well. Because, that other fox that was with him, he had just found a mate and fell in love with her. She needs him so they can have a family together and live happily in this forest. Right, Tod? (Tod happily nods his head) There now. You see?
Amos Slade: (tries to brush off his inner feelings) Yeah, well, even if that fox is innocent and does have actual feelings, what makes you people so sure? Huh? Why do you care about it so much anyway? What makes you think you can sympathize with the fox instead of me?
Kenai: Because it's what they are, Mr. Slade. I may be a bear to you in both size and appearance, but I was also a human being who had the same motive just like you. But unlike you who hates foxes, I've hated bears.
Amos Slade: Huh?
Kenai: You see, I wasn't so different from you and Copper until (points to Littlefoot, Ash, and the group) these guys showed up and came into my life. Before I met them, I too had the thirst for vengeance, but towards a bear whom I believed killed my brother, Sitka. After mercilessly killing the bear, the great spirits of the north punished me and magically turned me into the bear I am right now. So, during my journey, I ran into these guys and along the way, they taught me the values of life as well as the values of friendship and the meaning of brotherhood. And thanks to them, I've realized what I did to that bear was wrong and I humbly accepted the consequences of my actions. Because that bear, I've unknowingly killed out of revenge instead of love was Koda's mother. To atone for what I've done, I did a selfless act of nearly sacrificing my life for Koda and I was turned back into a human. But I decided to stay with Koda, because he needs someone to take care of him. It was all thanks to the life lessons of my new friends had taught me during my journey. I've learned about the values of friendship, life, and love from them. And since then, I made a vow to never make a horrible mistake like that ever again. So, you see, Mr. Slade, if there's anyone that can help show you those things, it's them.
Amos Slade: Hmm....
Ash Ketchum: Aladar and Kenai know what they're talking about, Mr. Slade. And it's not just Tod we sympathize. We also pity you and Copper for the train incident that happened with Chief. However, we're nothing like the two of you because we didn't pin the incident on Tod whatsoever. For, we all knew that was an accident to begin with. So, if you want to want to move on and live peacefully, you gotta let Tod go. He needs to be free so he can live his life fully and be happy. We think it's time you learn to put the past behind you. Because staying stuck in the past won't bring you happiness. The more you do that, the more miserable you'll become. So, please, Mr. Slade, just lower your gun and let Tod go free. For our sake. For Mrs. Tweed's sake. And for Copper's sake.
Pikachu: (runs up and angrily charges electricity in his cheeks) Pika....!
Scooby-Doo: (runs up to help as well; growls angrily)
(Soon, the entire group came and stood by Littlefoot and Ash to join Copper in protecting Tod from Amos.)
Princess Jasmine: This is your last chance as well as your final warning, Mr. Slade. If you want to kill Tod so badly, then you'll have to kill all of us first to do it.
Misty: Because with all of us together, you can't hurt him. For no matter what you do or say that'll make us scared, we're no longer afraid of you anymore.
Brock: It's all of us and only one of you. You're pretty much outnumbered.
Bugs Bunny: And this'll be the last thing you'll ever do. You got that?
Taran: It's never too late to atone for what you and Copper had done today. You cannot hold an angry grudge against Tod forever. Especially, after he saved you and Copper from that giant grizzly bear. You know deep in your heart that you still have a sense of honor and morality. We can forgive you if you prove yourself what an honorable man you are by lowering your gun and letting Tod go.
Princess Eilonwy: It's your life, Mr. Slade. Your choice. It's not too late to redeem yourself if you let Tod go. Trust us. Everything's gonna be alright.
Amos Slade: But-But how do you all know? How do you know something bad isn't gonna happen if I let that fox go?
Taran: We just do, Mr. Slade. But it's the only way for us to move on and it's much better than killing him. So, that everyone can be happy. Especially you.
Aladdin: So, what's it gonna be, old man?
Daffy Duck: Yeah, you old grump, what'll it be?
(Copper whimpers pleadingly at Amos.)
Kenai: Mr. Slade, you need to show Chief that there is still good in all animals in the world. And even though what you see in them is bad, he'll know that what you did is that right thing to do. For him. For Copper. For Mrs. Tweed. And for all of us. Please don't kill Tod. Let him go free.
Amos Slade: (his face turns to sadness, sighs in regret and, lowers his gun) You're right, everyone. I am an old fool.
Fred Jones: Yeah, but it's gonna be alright now.
Mewtwo: (uses his psychic abilities to lift Amos up) Now, come with me. I have something to show you. (takes him to the highest atmosphere where he can see the planet earth from outer space in a psychic shield)
Amos Slade: Wha-Where? Where am I? (gasps) Is-Is that the-?
Mewtwo: Yes. This is Earth. This is the planet we all come from. The planet on which humans like you, animals like your dog, Copper and the fox, Tod, all species of Pokémon, and every other living creature are born on. And it's also the planet in which I was created on. Born and created because there is a reason for us to exist in the first place. The inhabitants of this planet: people, animals, and Pokémon alike. Live happily together as friends, not enemies. Here, we can all be friends. Especially, you. These children are dear friends to your hunting dog and they're also friends to Tod as well. No matter how different they are.
Amos Slade: (amazed by the lovely view of the Earth from above) It's so beautiful...
Mewtwo: It is. But the life on it itself is also beautiful too. You just have to believe in it. You see, this is why those children had been playing with your dog, Copper and why they had been friends with the fox, Tod. Because they are the kind of humans who value all living creatures on the planet despite being different from one another. Whether born or created, they all have a purpose to live in peace. I had to learn that myself through a similar experience when that boy sacrificed himself to save all those Pokémon and my clone Pokémon from their demise during my clash with Mew. (had a flashback of Ash's sacrifice during the events of the first Pokémon movie) And just like you and Kenai, I used to be distrustful towards anyone. But thanks to the boy's sacrifice, my heart was opened as well as my eyes. I realize now that all life has a purpose to live. Not in anger and war, but in peace. So, we-we could not let your story end like Kenai's and like mine.
Amos Slade: (finally begins to understand Mewtwo's story and Kenai's story and feels remorseful for what he nearly became) Dag gum.... I didn't think of it that way. I nearly became a monster. (sighs sadly) I'm s- I'm so-
Mewtwo: It's alright. I understand. But things are going to get better. As long as you leave Tod alone and happy with his mate and the other animals in the preserve, things will be beautiful. And as long as you do that, then he will be your friend too. So, from now on, you must always value all life and understand that every living creature can live happily, peacefully, and freely as friends.
Amos Slade: As friends...
Mewtwo: (nods his head and takes Amos' hand) Now, my friend, let's return. To our home! (transports himself and Amos safely back down to Earth)
Fred Jones: (holds out his hand) Now, Mr. Slade, hand over the gun. It's time you put it away now.
Shaggy Rogers: Like yeah! There's plenty of other animals for you, Copper, and Chief to hunt the next time you go out. Not just other foxes. But raccoons, deer, rabbits, wild ducks, you name it. But as long as you leave Tod alone and happy with his mate in the forest, everything will be alright.
Scooby-Doo: Yeah. Everything will be alright.
Velma Dinkley: Now, come on, old timer. Give us the gun. It's alright. Trust us. It'll all be okay.
Fred Jones: Give us the gun. It's okay. Let it go.
(Amos hands the gun to Fred.)
Daphne Blake: There, see? That wasn't so hard now. Was it?
(Suddenly, the group hears sirens, and a motor bike appears. Growlithe jumps out and uses Flamethrower to corner Amos and Copper. Growlithe then growls and barks at them. Then Officer Jenny, the rider of the motor bike, comes out and removes her shades, ready to confront the old hunter.)
Brock: Officer Jenny?!
Officer Jenny: Stand down, Growlithe. (to Amos Slade) You there, sir! Who do you think you are trespassing and illegally hunting animals (holds up on of his foothold traps as evidence) with your booby traps in this game preserve alongside your dog like that?! And what's the big idea of scaring those children in such a barbaric way by setting a burrow on fire like that?! You were almost responsible for causing a major wildfire! Not to mention nearly putting the lives of other people living outside of the preserve in mortal danger!
(Copper whimpers in remorse)
Amos Slade: But I was only hunting down a fox, officer. I was trying to get revenge on it for causing trouble on my property and for injuring one of my hunting dogs back home.
Officer Jenny: Yeah, well that's no excuse for all of the trouble you and your dog caused around here today. And as a hunter, you're supposed to be obeying the law. I'm afraid I'm gonna have to write you up. (takes out her notebook) Now, give me your name and address, sir.
(Minutes later, Amos was shocked.)
Amos Slade: Huh?! You're sending me to jail?
Officer Jenny: Oh, I'm gonna do something that's far more punishing than that. I'm giving you a $450 fine so you can pay for your crimes. You're charged for trespassing, poaching, arson, reckless life endangerment, malicious destruction to property, violence threats, oh, I can go on.
Amos Slade: A fine?! B-B-But I-I-I don't have enough money to pay for it!
Officer Jenny: Sir, if you cannot pay your fine, then you will end up locked away in federal jail for life! And I literally mean it!
Amos Slade: (cries) Please, officer! I didn't mean to cause so much trouble and hurt everybody today! It's just that I'm a very poor, lonely, old mountain man! I lived in this forest for a very long time! I hunt for a living! It's what I do! I don't have a real house and real job like I used to back in the day! And even worse, I have a family that's twice as big as these kids' as well as my neighbors'! They live so far away, and I've never seen nor spoken to them in years! And the worst part is I don't even know if I have any grandchildren or not! Before all of this happened, my wife and four little kids used to live with me! But when they all reached their middle school years, my wife got really sick, and she died in the hospital! I had to raise the kids all by myself until they all became adults! One by one, I had to watch them leave and let them live their own lives! And since then, I've been all by myself with no one to talk to! Every day, I miss them and wondered what they've been doing all this time! Do you understand now? All I ever wanted was for my family to be together again! Is there something so wrong with that?! Huh?! Huh?! (this sudden revelation causes our heroes to gasp in surprise) So, if you send me to jail for the rest of my life, my dogs won't have someone to take care of them! And I'll lose my chances of seeing my children again! They're all I've got! Please, have mercy! (cries)
(Littlefoot, Ash, Scooby, and most of our heroes look at each other with sad, sympathetic faces. They start shedding tears and feel sorry for the old hunter's story. Ash takes out the old photo he's kept since last winter and came to realize that those other people standing with him is indeed his family.)
Ash Ketchum: Excuse me, Mr. Slade.
Amos Slade: (sniffs) Hmm?
Ash Ketchum: I found this photo last winter while you were gone. (shows him the picture) Is that your family?
(Ash gives Amos his old family photo.)
Amos Slade: (gasps in surprise) Why, yes. Yes, it is. Where did you find it?
Ash Ketchum: It was the cold wind that carried from your window.
Amos Slade: Why, thank you, son. I've been wondering what happened to this since I came back from my trip.
Daphne Blake: Maybe this is why he's so miserable to us and to Mrs. Tweed all the time. He has a big family too. But they live far away from him.
Velma Dinkley: And living out here with very little money, he doesn't get to see them very much. That's terrible.
Misty: Perhaps seeing us together while also seeing Mrs. Tweed being with her own family and friends together must've made him miss them even more.
Shaggy Rogers: And the more he missed them, the more bitter he grew with being apart from them...
Brock: And his hunting dogs are the only friends he's got.
Cera: How did we not notice this until now?
Taran: I wish we knew, Cera.
(Ash and Littlefoot think this over on how to solve this, and after a few minutes while also not wanting to let Amos suffer anymore, they both make up their mind and step up to Officer Jenny.)
Ash Ketchum: Officer Jenny, would it be alright if you would allow us to pay the fine for this poor, penniless old man? He's been through enough already and we think he deserves a break. Each of us will provide community service to earn the proper amount of money for the fine while Mr. Slade, on the other hand, should spend at least one night in the stony lonesome.
Littlefoot: And let Copper accompany him too. I think he too needs to learn his lesson in jail as well. Even if he is just a dog. What do you say? Will you let us do it? Will this work out?
Officer Jenny: Hmm...... (thinks things over for a little bit) Well, it is a little unorthodox I'll admit, but seeing that he is a poor peasant, I think that's punishment enough for him. Very well, then. You children can help pay off the fine for him. And you'll do that by helping to clean up the damage he's made during his hunt.
(The heroes all agree.)
Amos Slade: (to Copper) Well, come on, boy. Let's go.
Officer Jenny: Now, sir, I need you to kindly put your hands behind your back. (puts handcuffs on him and places him on her bike; whistles) Come here, boy!
(Copper, somberly ready to face the consequences of his behavior, prepares to leave. Copper looks up and sees all of his friends staring at him with sad faces. But he knows it's just one night. He stops for a moment to look back at Tod. Tod, though still weak, slowly stands up and smiles at him as a way of saying thanks. Copper grins back and continues to walk up to the motor bike, but not before looking at Tod one final time.)
Officer Jenny: Come on, you!
Copper: (sighs) Good-bye, Tod. We'll always be best friends forever. (hops onto her motor bike) I'll never forget you, Tod.
(Tod waves good-bye to Copper for the last time. Officer Jenny then drive Amos and Copper away. Our heroes finally express their relief now that Amos and Copper are finally calm down.)
Princess Eilonwy: (sighs) My goodness gracious. I'm sure glad that's over.
Daphne Blake: Oh, thank goodness. They finally calm down. And my heart is still pounding.
Velma Dinkley: You're not alone, Daphne. Everyone's hearts are pounding after everything that's happened today.
Fred Jones: Now, with one problem taken care of, let's go take Tod somewhere where he can be nursed back to health.
Brock: And I know someone who can help him. (picks him up) Come on.
(We go to a Pokémon Center where Nurse Joy is tending Tod's wounds. It was something she'd never done before, but she did her best. After 3 to 4 hours of caring for the wounded fox, the medical signal goes off. Nurse Joy comes out with Tod, now all bandaged up.)
Daphne Blake: How is he, Nurse Joy?
Nurse Joy: He only had minor bruises and several cuts. But all and all, nothing is broken. He'll be back on his feet and ready to be released back into the forest after some rest.
Littlefoot: That's great!
Ash Ketchum: Thanks, Nurse Joy! Well, guys, what do you say that while Tod sleeps, let's clean up the mess Amos made during his monstrous hunt so we can help pay off his fine while he and Copper are in jail?
(Everyone agrees.)
Bagheera: Alright, let's get to work.
(First, they put out what's left of the fire Amos started by throwing handfuls of soil in the back opening Tod and Vixey's burrow. Soon after, they go to find the shackles from the bullets he left on the ground and placed them in garbage bags. Next, they went to find the foothold traps that Amos used against Tod. Some of which were not activated. So, they used sticks and twigs to set off the remaining traps. Afterwards, they pick up the deadly traps and placed them all in garbage bags. The animals of the game preserve look on smiling who are watching the heroes.)
Ash Ketchum: (picks up the used deadly foothold trap; sighs) Good grief. (placed it in the garbage bag) Where did he get such a crazy idea to use such terrible devices like these?
(The porcupine jumps onto Ash's leg without pricking him while Ash was too busy to notice. And finally, they repair the wired fence that Amos clipped with the wire clippers in order to break into the game preserve.)
Brock: Whew! There. That should just about do it. Great job, everybody.
Ash Ketchum: Well, time to go home. All of the animals in the preserve are going to be very happy.
Pikachu: Pika.
Porcupine: Psst. Hello, there, son.
(Ash sees the porcupine on his leg then jumps off his leg.)
Ash Ketchum: Huh? (kneels down) Oh, hi, Mr. Porcupine. I didn't see you.
Porcupine: Is everything all right, children?
Littlefoot: Why, yes, it is now. We managed to calm down the hunter and his hunting dog.
Porcupine: That's wonderful.
Misty: Yeah, but that's not all, Tod got injured from his fight with the angry bear who Mr. Slade had awakened. Our friend Officer Jenny wasn't pleased with Mr. Slade's actions, so he and his dog Copper are spending one night in jail. No one is allowed to hunt in the game preserve because poaching is against the law.
Porcupine: That's true, dear. I don't like the sound of poachers nor angry bears
Ash Ketchum: Neither do we.
Misty: So, do you know our fox friend Tod?
Porcupine: Oh, yes, dear. I've met your fox friend the first night he arrived at the game preserve. I saw him getting yelled by Mr. Digger when he entered his den by accident. Then the next morning he fell out of my hole and he accidentally landed on Mr. Digger's den entrance then he got mad at him. I tried to tell him that it was just an accident and he shouldn't be grumpy to anyone who's new around here, but he wouldn't listen to me. So, he rudely told him to leave and I didn't like what he did.
Bagheera: Well, that was such rude behavior.
Baloo: Yeah, that wasn't very cool.
Porcupine: I certainly agree with you, gentlemen. So, no one explains anything to Mr. Digger.
Daffy Duck: Whatever got the badger so mean since he hated visitors?
Porcupine: Let's just say he likes being alone. I'm really glad you didn't go near him or his den.
Misty: Yeah, we never interacted with him anyway. Because we had kept our distance away from the badger, otherwise if we go near him, he'd wake up and he'll be angry if he sees us.
Porcupine: You're all so smart.
Bugs Bunny: Yeah, like when we didn't go near Chief.
Porcupine: Chief? Who's he?
Daffy Duck: He's Mr. Slade's grumpy eldest hunting dog who doesn't like his nap to be disturbed. Plus, the reason why Mr. Slade and Copper were seeking revenge on Tod it was because Chief broke his leg after falling off the train tracks. Tod had known Copper since they were just little puppies they became best friends they were unaware that we were supposed to be natural enemies.
Porcupine: Oh, my.
Bugs Bunny: Yeah, Mr. Slade and Copper were mad at Tod because they thought he was trying to kill Chief. Tod told us that he had no intention of hurting Chief at all.
Porcupine: Oh, dear, how terrible.
Bugs and Daffy: Uh-huh.
Ash Ketchum: Yeah, and another thing we've finished cleaning up the mess Mr. Slade's made during his hunt and we're helping him pay the fine for his crimes.
Porcupine: I saw everything, children. I'm sure all of the animals are happy now and so am I.
Ash Ketchum: Anyway, it's getting late and we better get home. We don't want keep my mom waiting.
Porcupine: That's a good thought, son. Thank you all for cleaning up everything.
Ash Ketchum: (shaking his paw) Our pleasure, Mr. Porcupine. Well, goodbye.
Porcupine: (waving) Goodbye, children. Take care.
(The heroes wave to the friendly porcupine as they leave to go home. The heroes go into the van as Fred starts to drive leaving the game preserve.)
Littlefoot: Now, we gotta pay the fine.
Ash Ketchum: Yeah, we better call the vet for Chief, then we gotta fix Mr. Slade's cabin.
Pikachu: Pika.
Shaggy Rogers: Like, that's a good idea, Ash.
Fred Jones: No, that's a great idea. I'll tell you guys what, we should call the doctor for Mr. Slade, do some shopping, while you guys take care of Mr. Slade's cabin.
Velma Dinkley: Yeah, you guys leave everything to us.
DaphneBlake: We"ll call the vet for Chief then we'll call the doctor for Mr. Slade after we pay the fine.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Oh, boy. Mr. Slade is gonna be so surprised.
Patrick Star: You bet he will.
Brock: I can mow Mr. Slade's lawn and replace Chief and Copper's leaky old barrels with nice dog houses.
Bugs Bunny: Chief and Copper are going to love it.
Daffy Duck: They sure will.
Littlefoot: That porcupine sure is nice.
Cera: He sure is.
(The scene changes to a montage where the heroes pay the fine to Officer Jenny for Amos' crimes, as Daphne calls the vet for Chief then the doctor for Amos then the Mystery Inc brought food, dog foods and new clothes at Amos' cabin while the vet examines Chief's broken leg as the kids did some cleaning and fixing the windows, replacing the old furniture with nice furniture inside then Brock mowed Amos' lawn then he replaced the old barrels with nicely built dog houses for Chief and Copper while Chief from inside looks on smiling. Taran brings alot of wood for the fire. Big Mama, Dinky and Boomer look on smiling. Then the camera fades to black.)
The heroes become friends with Amos and Chief/Chief and Copper comfort Littlefoot and Ash/Ending[]
(The next morning at the Pokemon center.)
Nurse Joy: (comes out of the Pokémon center alongside her Chansey with the fully healed Tod in a crate; comes to a forested area and opens the crate) Alright, little fella. You can come out now. It's time for you to go back to where you belong. (Tod is a bit nervous and shy) Come on. It's okay. It's okay.
(Tod slowly peaks his head out, making Nurse Joy giggle. He cautiously walks out of the crate and stares at Nurse Joy for a brief moment in confusion.)
Nurse Joy: (giggles) It's alright. You're gonna be okay. We promise.
(Tod, though still a bit shaken from Amos' monstrous hunt, begins the regain full confidence and starts running back into the forest where he joyfully reunites with Vixey.)
Nurse Joy: Good-bye, sweet little angel.
Chansey: (teary-eyed) Chansey....
(Tod and Vixey happily wander off into the forest. Meanwhile, back at jail, Amos and Copper are in their cell, remorseful for what they've done during that horrifying hunt.)
Officer Jenny: (opens the cell holding Amos Slade and Copper) Okay, Mr. Amos Slade, sir, you're free to go. I hope this long night in jail has taught you and your dog not to trespass, commit poaching and arson, nor make violent threats to people ever again.
Amos Slade: It has.
Officer Jenny: And I hope you've both learned your lesson about letting your thirst for vengeance and your temper get the best of you the hard way.
Amos Slade: Yes, we have. And we got what we deserved for our reckless and irrational behavior. Right, Copper, boy? (pets his dog as he responds with a happy bark) Thank you very much for bailing me out and for going easy on me, officer.
Officer Jenny: Well, judging from the condition you're in, I'd figure it's the least I can do. Since I was told by you that you were having money issues and all, those children were generous enough to help pay off your fine by cleaning up your mess in the preserve yesterday. You're lucky to have someone so thoughtful to do something nice for you when you're in a very sad state. And if I were you, Amos, you should consider thanking them for their kindness. Oh, and one more thing, here's a little something for you on the way out. (gives him crutches to show there's no hard feelings) It's for your leg, sir.
Amos Slade: That's really kind of you. Thanks.
Officer Jenny: (to Copper) And this is for you, little guy. (gives Copper a bone-shaped chew toy, which he joyfully begins to chew on) The kids are on their way with your truck to pick you up and drive you back to your cabin. Have a safe trip home.
(Minutes later, the heroes arrive to pick up Amos and Copper.)
Heroes: Hello, Mr. Slade.
Amos Slade: Hello, everyone.
(Amos and Copper get in the truck. Then, Copper sits next to Ash and affectionately licks his face which caused him to laugh. Ash pets Copper as he placed his arm around him. Then Copper placed his chin onto Ash's shoulder.)
Amos Slade: I want to thank you all for straightening me out.
Misty: It was our pleasure, Mr. Slade.
Ash Ketchum: (with Copper nestling onto him) We all got off on the wrong foot.
Pikachu: Pika.
(Pikachu climbs onto Amos' lap.)
Amos Slade: Yes, son, we have. Now, I know why Copper likes you.
Ash Ketchum: That he does. Right, Copper? (Copper barks and pants happily)
Velma Dinkley: Now, Mr. Slade, hunting is one thing, but poaching is not a good idea. Surely you understand that.
Amos Slade: Yes, young lady. (sighs)
Brock: Now, no more using dangerous animal traps. And from the condition your leg is in, I can tell you've learned your lesson the hard way.
Amos Slade: Yes, son, the next time I hunt, I'll think before using my traps. (to Ash) And you, young man, I take back everything I said to your Pikachu. (he pets Pikachu gently which pleased him; then looks at the group with a sad face) Children, for the past year since meeting you, I'm terribly sorry for the way I behaved and for everything I've done. I guess I am just a crotchy old grump who should've known better. Will you ever forgive me? (smiles warmly)
Littlefoot: Yeah.
Ash Ketchum: (smiling) Sure, Mr. Slade. (shakes hands with him)
(Fred starts the truck and begins the drive back to Amos' cabin.)
Daphne Blake: While you were in jail overnight, we called in a professional veterinarian to take care of Chief. She said it wasn't severe. It was just a minor fracture, but he's still gonna need his hind leg wrapped up for the next several weeks. But not to worry. He'll be as good as new in no time.
(Copper barks happily upon hearing the good news.)
Copper: (happily, in his thoughts) Now, I know Chief is gonna be okay.
Amos Slade: That's great to hear. And that was very nice of her to take care of Chief for me.
Littlefoot: It's not a big deal. Really.
Velma Dinkley: And we'd just set up an appointment to have an orthopedic come and take a look at your leg. She's waiting for you at your cabin right now and is expecting upon your arrival.
Shaggy: Like, we hope you feel better, Mr. Slade, sir.
Amos Slade: How very kind of you to say that, Shaggy. Ash?
Ash Ketchum: Hmm?
Amos Slade: Why did you and your friends keep calling the fox Tod?
Ash Ketchum: Because that's his name, Mr. Slade. When Tod was a little baby, Mrs. Tweed took him in, raised him, and named him Tod. And he would've died if she hadn't taken care of him.
Amos Slade: Hmm, it figures.
Pikachu: (nodding) Pika.
Fred Jones: Well, Mr. Slade, here we are. Back to your home.
Ash Ketchum: Let me give you a hand there, Mr. Slade.
Amos Slade: Ah, thank you, Ash.
Ash Ketchum: You're welcome. Let's get you inside the doctor's waiting for you.
(As they help him inside, Cera thought about something.)
Cera: By the way, Mr. Slade, whatever happened to those other guys who were with you while hunting down Tod?
Misty: The last time we saw that was they were alongside you while you were hunting in the preserve. Do you know where your friends are or what happened to them?
Amos Slade: Huh? Friends? (suddenly becomes angry) Friends?! Doggonit, at least, they were my friends, until they.... they betrayed me! Left me and Copper to die!
Littlefoot and Ash: What?!
(Their friends gasp in horror at the revelation.)
Bugs Bunny: (quietly whispers to Daffy) Uh-oh...here he goes again.
Daffy Duck: You said it, pal.
Amos Slade: Oooh, if I ever see those back-stabbing traitors again, I'm gonna give 'em what for and blast each of 'em with my rifle!
Littlefoot: Whoa! Hold on there, old timer! We think you've been through enough drama for a while.
Misty: For you need to save your strength and get some rest.
Brock: And besides, you don't have to think about them anymore. They're not worth it.
Ash Ketchum: Yeah, leave them to us. We'll make sure they'll regret for ditching you and Copper.
Fred Jones: And for leaving you at the mercy of that angry bear.
Jack Skellington: So, no more thinking about revenge, okay? Because, if you do recall, it led both you and Copper into getting yourselves in big trouble.
(Amos calms down upon realizing that the heroes have a point.)
Amos Slade: (sighs, calmly) You're right. Yes sirree. From now on, no more hunting in game preserves and no more hunting Pokémon. Especially Pokémon who belong to trainers. Right, Copper?
Copper: (barking in agreement)
Amos Slade: Ha ha! Isn't he somethin', kid?
Ash Ketchum: He sure is.
(Amos and Ash both laugh as Copper howls happily.)
Ash Ketchum: Come on, everyone. Let's get Mr. Slade inside and let the doctor care for him.
(They help him walk over to the front door where he can enter and see the doctor. Chief barks happily upon seeing Amos and Copper arrive home. Eventually, they meet up with Bagheera and Baloo who were keeping watch of the cabin. Amos felt surprised to see the fixed windows.)
Amos Slade: You kids fixed up my cabin and you've put dog houses for Chief and Copper. You've also fixed up my yard.
Fred Jones: Yep, just yesterday, Mr. Slade.
Brock: I just mowed your lawn.
Taran: We've also gave you lots of firewood for next winter.
Princess Eilonwy: Think it's enough firewood for you, Mr. Slade?
Amos Slade: Yes, it is. How did you children get my cabin clean?
Ash Ketchum: We swept, dusted the cob webs and dust bunnies, and mopped.
Misty: Yeah, and we've also put the screens on your windows in order to keep the mosquitos out.
Shaggy: Like, we've bought you some nice clothes for you, Mr. Slade. It's from the shopping mall.
Amos Slade: You also brought groceries.
Velma Dinkley: Uh-huh, Daphne and I went food shopping yesterday.
Amos Slade: (smiling warmly) Why, thank you so much, children.
Bagheera: Oh, welcome home, Mr. Slade. We have been waiting for you. Littlefoot and his friends told us everything about what happened yesterday and we're very sorry. But no need to worry. We'll take very good care of you. The doctor's waiting inside and she's expecting to see you. So, do come in, rest yourself and she'll make sure you're well taken care of. You must be very hungry and tired after such doings.
(They open the door and bring Amos inside. Misty gives Copper a big bowl of some dog food, figured he had been hungry after spending a night in jail.)
Bagheera: Oh, madam! Your patient is here!
Doctor: Oh, well, hello, Mr. Slade. It's such a pleasure to meet you. Come on in and take a seat. I'm gonna take a look at your leg.
Ash Ketchum: Okay, there we go, Mr. Slade. (placed him onto the couch) Now, let's leave the doctor to Mr. Slade. Come on, Copper.
(The heroes and Copper leave the room so the doctor can examine Amos' injured foot. Chief leans his head and sees Littlefoot and Ash.)
Chief: (whispers) Hey! Psst! Hey, you, boys!
Littlefoot and Ash Ketchum: Hmm? Who, us?
Chief: Yes, you, come here.
Littlefoot: You want to talk to us?
Ash Ketchum: Why?
Chief: Come here.
(Ash felt hesitant as he gulped and backed away.)
Ash Ketchum: (nervously, in his thoughts) What if Chief might maul me if I get too close to him?
Chief: (assuringly) Don't worry, sonny, I won't bite.
(Littlefoot and Ash nervously stare at Copper.)
Copper: (assuringly) It's okay, guys. Chief's not gonna hurt you.
Littlefoot and Ash: Okay, Copper.
(He and Littlefoot walk up to Chief and sat down to talk to him)
Chief: So, you're Littlefoot and you're Ash Ketchum?
Ash Ketchum: Yeah, we are.
Littlefoot: But how did you know?
Chief: Your animal friends told me about you, and it was nice of you kids among with your friends to look after me and call up the vet.
Littlefoot: Aww, it was nothing.
Ash Ketchum: It sure was. (placed his arm around Copper) Don't worry, Copper, Daphne already talked to Mr. Slade that it was just a minor fracture.
Copper: Oh, I'm not worried too much this time, Ash. I'm now glad that Chief's broken leg wasn't severe. (playfully pins down Ash which made him laugh) (jokingly) You think I'd feel worried all the time?
Ash Ketchum: (laughing) No.
Copper: (jokingly) You think I'd stay mad forever?
Ash Ketchum: (laughing) No, you wouldn't. Do you remember when we first met you when you were a puppy? (Copper tugs Ash's shirt playfully making him laugh)
Littlefoot: (laughing) He actually did remember.
SpongeBob Squarepants: (laughing) We'll take that as a "yes."
Copper: Are you kidding? Of course I remember, Ash. (jokingly) You think I forgot all about that?
Ash Ketchum: (laughing) No, I guess you didn't.
Copper: (playfully taking off Ash's hat) Huh? Huh? (growls in a playful manner and shakes the hat back and forth before throwing it to the ground) (laughs, while tickling his stomach) I gotcha right here, little buddy!
Ash Ketchum: (laughing) Copper, you're tickling me!
(Ash laughed as Copper licks his face as Chief and the other heroes laugh with amusement.)
Bugs Bunny: Well, Copper is playful again.
Daffy Duck: You said it, pal.
Chief (amused): Oh, lay off him, Copper. You overgrown pup, you. (chuckles)
Copper: (chuckles) Okay, okay. (Ash giggles as he sits up and wipes his face)
(Copper and Ash instantly settle down.)
Chief: Ash, come over and sit next to me, sonny.
(Ash crawls, picks up his hat, and sat next to Chief. He started to show sympathy towards him.)
Ash Ketchum: (sadly) We're really sorry about your leg, Chief.
Chief: (gently) Aww, don't worry so much, sonny. I'll live. It seems to me that you kids are the first to talk to our master ever since he doesn't have any friends and neither do I. (placing his paw onto Ash's shoulder, smiling warmly) So, you're also the first to talk to me.
Ash Ketchum: (smiling warmly) That we are, Chief. It's real nice for you and Mr. Slade to have us as new friends for a change.
(Ash hugs Chief and he hugs back.)
Chief: (touched) Aww, shucks.
(Copper felt admired, having not seen his grumpy mentor happy before.)
Heroes: (with Copper) Awww.
Ash Ketchum: (petting him gently) How's that feel, Chief?
Chief: (sighs) That feels good. Thank you. So, you kids grown attached to Copper, huh?
Littlefoot: Uh-huh.
Brock: We sure did.
Ash Ketchum: Since Copper was a little puppy. You know what they say.
Copper and Ash: A dog is a man's best friend.
Chief: Hmm, I never knew dogs can play with kids and that there is more to being a dog than hunting. I guess I forgot all about that.
Ash Ketchum: You are Mr. Slade's first and only companion.
Chief: Uh-huh, since I was a little pup just before Copper and you kids came along. So, when our master's four kids used to live with us. My master first got me when his two older kids were in high school while his two younger kids were in middle school just before his wife passed away years ago. As the years pass his four kids move out to live on their own, our master and I were all alone with nobody to talk to. Our master and I spent our lonely days hunting for food and fur. Last spring, I first met Copper when he was a small pup, I wasn't fond of him at first, but then I began to like him slowly. So, I became a father figure to Copper.
Copper: Ash, I'm really glad you and your friends met me first, little buddy.
Ash Ketchum: Me, too, Copper.
(Ash and Copper hug each other then Misty comes in and she placed his dog food and water onto the floor.)
Misty: Here's your food and water if you're hungry and thirsty.
Chief: (placing his paw onto her knee) Why, thank you, missie.
Misty: (giggles and pets him) You're welcome, Chief.
Copper: Thanks for the dog food, Misty. (affectionately licking Misty's face which caused her to giggle)
Misty: (pets him) You're welcome, Copper.
Copper: It really taste good too and all we ever eat was dog bones.
Chief: Yeah, I'm also really glad you kids bought our master other food because all he ever eats was grits and fatback since he couldn't afford anything else.
Misty: So, do you guys like your dog houses we've put up for you?
Copper: Like them? We love them!
Ash Ketchum: Chief, your leg will be better in no time, and I do hope you feel better.
Chief: Well, now. (chuckles) I'm feeling better, son, since I got visitors. Maybe you kids aren't so bad after all. (sighs sadly) I gotta admit i wasn't being a good dog to you and your friends I was such a grump just like our master.
Littlefoot: Yeah. We had a really bad start last year.
Chief: We sure did, sonny.
Princess Eilonwy: Say, Copper?
Copper: Yeah, Eilonwy?
Princess Eilonwy: How long have you been trained as a hunting dog?
Copper: Let's just say I've been trained for 6 months, Eilonwy.
Littlefoot: So, a hunting dog is always supposed to act nasty, huh?
Copper: Yep. But, not towards you guys mostly wild animals besides foxes y'all mentioned.
Chief: I suppose our master and I pressured Copper too much. (sighs) I hope you kids can forgive me for scaring you.
Littlefoot: Sure, Chief.
Ash Ketchum: (smiling) Absolutely.
Taran: Of course we will.
Chief: You kids are welcome to come over and visit me whenever you like. You kids don't have to be afraid of me anymore.
Littlefoot; Gosh, Chief. That's very kind of you.
Misty: (hugs Chief) Yeah, thanks so much, Chief.
Chief: (chuckles warmly) My pleasure, kids.
Shaggy: Like, all right!
Scooby-Doo: (giggles)
Ash Ketchum: I'd figured if Tod would've listened to us none of this would've happened. I never should've let Tod onto Mr. Slade's property.
Copper: Don't fret on it, little buddy, you didn't do anything wrong, I'm sure he didn't know. And like y'all said yesterday, none of this was Tod's fault that Chief got hurt.
Chief: That was actually my fault that I didn't move fast enough. I'm not as young as I used to be. Ash, Misty, and Littlefoot, I really appreciate you kids taking care of our master and taking care of me.
Misty: Our pleasure, Chief.
Chief: I'll watch out for trains next time.
Ash Ketchum: So, Chief, next time Copper goes hunting with Mr. Slade he'd better watch out for porcupines, skunks, badgers and raccoons. Right, Copper?
Copper: Oh, I definitely will.
Misty: Not to mention bears, mountain lions and rattlesnakes.
Copper: That too.
Ash Ketchum: I think we'd better leave Chief to rest.
Copper: (nods) Mmm-hmm.
Littlefoot: Rest easy, Chief.
Chief: Thanks, sonny.
(Ash, Misty, Littlefoot, the other heroes and Copper leave the room. Chief smiled warmly knowing that Littlefoot, Ash and their friends are the first to be friends with him and Amos so, he went to sleep. Dinky and Boomer, who were listening to their conversation, fly over to Big Mama's tree in a rush.)
Dinky: (joyfully excited) Big Mama! Big Mama! Guess what?! We have exciting news! They did it! Our friends did it! They calmed Copper and the hunter down and stopped them from killing Tod and Vixey! They're safe!
Big Mama: They are?!
Boomer: (joyfully excited) Uh, yeah! They sure are! They sure are! Our two foxy friends had been saved, thanks to Littlefoot, Ash, and everyone else!
Big Mama: (relieved) Oh, thank goodness...
Littlefoot: Copper, will you please excuse us?
Ash Ketchum: Yeah, we'll be right back.
Copper: Sure thing, guys.
(The heroes come outside and went to Mrs Tweed's house.)
Littlefoot and Ash: Hi, guys.
Dinky: Hey, we heard you kids took care of the hunter.
Boomer: Yeah, we saw you kids talk to Chief.
Ash Ketchum: Chief is not just feeling better because of the vet's visit.
Big Mama: It's because you kids took care of Chief and he's very happy about it.
Dinky: We've never seen Chief and the hunter so happy before.
Ash Ketchum: Yeah, Mr. Slade was just a lonely old man with nobody to talk to since he missed his family so much. Mr. Slade's wife passed away years ago and his four grown up kids moved out to be on their own.
Littlefoot: Chief was lonely too.
Misty: Yeah, we couldn't help feel sorry for Mr. Slade yesterday.
Big Mama: Hmm, now we know why they're always grumpy all the time.
Dinky: Yeah, it all makes sense.
Misty: It sure does and Copper is back to his old happy-go-lucky self again.
Boomer: Well I'll be.
Littlefoot: Yep, Mr. Slade promised not to hunt in game preserves anymore.
Big Mama: We heard that.
Littlefoot: Although, last spring we had a bad start with Mr. Slade and Chief at first.
Ash Ketchum: But, on the other hand we've met Copper first when he was a little puppy. Copper was really glad we met him first.
Big Mama: That's right, boys. Now, you're starting to get to know the hunter and Chief ever since they both don't have any friends. We're very proud of you kids.
Littlefoot and Ash: Thanks, Big Mama.
Copper: (whistles) Hey, guys, come back over here!
Heroes: Coming, Copper!
(The heroes come back over to Amos' yard.)
Littlefoot: What's wrong?
Copper: Nothing's wrong, I like to let you guys know that the doctor just finished examaning my master's injured leg.
(The doctor comes outside.)
Ash Ketchum: How's Mr. Slade's leg, Doctor?
Doctor; Well, young man, Mr. Slade has a minor fracture and he need's his leg wrapped up. Rest assured, boys, he's going to be fine.
(Littlefoot, Ash smile warmly and Copper barks happily.)
Littlefoot and Ash: Thanks, Doctor.
Doctor: My pleasure, boys. Goodbye, boys. (leaves)
Littlefoot and Ash: Bye, Doctor.
(The other heroes talk to Widow Tweed.)
Daphne Blake: You see, Mrs. Tweed, the reason why Mr. Slade is always grumpy all the time is because he missed his four kids so much since they're grown up and they live far away.
Shaggy: Yeah, like poor Mr. Slade doesn't have enough money to visit them.
Widow Tweed: (gasps) Is that so?
Fred Jones: Yeah, that's why Ash found Mr. Slade's old family photo last winter. (gives her the photo)
Widow Tweed: (gasps in surprise) My word! It is Amos! Who's that woman with him?
Misty: That's his late wife.
Widow Tweed: It all makes sense and who are those children anyway?
Velma Dinkley: Those are Mr. Slade's four children when they were younger.
Spongebob: Poor Mr. Slade missed his kids.
Patrick: Yeah, we know how he feels.
Cera: Mr. Slade and Copper had learned their lesson after spending one night in jail.
Ducky: Yep, yep, yep, Mr. Slade had become a kind man.
(Later that day, Tod is resting with Vixey near his burrow. Suddenly, they hear something in the bushes. They assume it would be Amos coming back to shoot them again. However, it turns out to be Tod's friends, Littlefoot and Ash.)
Littlefoot: Hello, Tod.
Ash Ketchum: Thought we'd came by to check on you and see how you're doing.
Tod: Oh, hello, guys. I'm feeling alright. How's Copper and the hunter?
Littlefoot: They're alright. Thanks to you.
Ash Ketchum: Without you, they would've been dead by now. But one thing that questions us though: what made you reconsider going back to help them even after they tried to kill you? How did you find it in your heart to forgive them after all of that?
Tod: It wasn't easy at first. I did remember Big Mama telling me that Copper will one day become my enemy. Though I didn't believe her all that time. But you know what?
Littlefoot and Ash: What?
Tod: I think she was somewhat right. He did become my enemy, but it was only for a short time. When I heard Copper being attacked by that angry bear, I knew I had to help him despite everything he and the hunter did. Because deep down, he was still my best friend and I've never given up on that. (sighs) I wish he'd realized that sooner.
Ash Ketchum: I think he already has, Tod. Maybe he was too blinded by his own anger to see it.
Tod: Maybe. Maybe so. By the way, I want to thank you for protecting me and talking Copper and the hunter out of killing me. I didn't know what would've happened if you guys hadn't shown up.
Ash Ketchum: It's not a big deal, Tod.
Littlefoot: We'd never let anything happen to you. (notices Vixey in the burrow) Made a new friend, Tod?
Tod: Oh, yeah, this is Vixey. Vixey, these are my friends, Littlefoot and Ash.
Littlefoot: Hi.
Ash Ketchum: Hello there.
Vixey: Oh, uh, hello. Nice to meet you. We hardly met during the hunt yesterday.
Littlefoot: We know. We're sorry for dragging you into all of that trouble.
Ash Ketchum: We never wanted Mr. Slade and Copper to hurt you and Tod in any other way. It's just that Copper had been Tod's best friend since they were puppies, but they were unaware of the fact that they were supposed to be sworn enemies. But because Amos trained Copper to become a hunting dog during the winter, their friendship was nearly broken apart. But one night, Copper blindly accused Tod of hurting Amos' eldest hunting dog, Chief, on purpose when it was just an accident. His owner, Mrs. Tweed, thought he'd be safe if he lived here in the game preserve. But when that crafty old man spied on her and saw what she was doing behind his back, he and Copper orchestrated that monstrous hunt. However, Petrie told us about Amos' plans, we thought we'd formulate a hunt of our own by going to the preserve before them. But in a nonviolent way. We thought we could talk them out of the slaughter, but they proved themselves to be much difficult to handle. Especially when they're both in a fit of uncontrollable anger. (sighs) We-We just wanted to make them stop. We were only trying to be peacemakers and calm their rage before things were going to get worse. We wanted to stop the violence and keep them from killing you and Tod for a pointless reason. Because the grumpy old hunter and his angry dog, who was originally his best friend, foolishly believed he did something unforgivable that drove them over the edge when he was innocent the whole time.
(Vixey, though stunned and shaken from the monstrous hunt as Tod was, felt sympathetic from the story she heard. She goes up to Ash and Littlefoot and gently puts her paw on his arm.)
Vixey: I understand. Tod told me everything about his troubled relationship with his best friend. And from what I've heard in that story of yours, I'm deeply grateful that you've managed to rekindle their friendship for the greater good. There was nothing any of us could've done to prevent it. There will always be people who will let their rage and anger get the best of them, and sometimes their minds cannot be changed due to being caught up in the past. But there are also people like you and your team who don't always use violence as an answer to their problems. And would find a better way to solve them in a peaceful direction. Those are the kind of people that really matter. And from what you've done yesterday, you've stayed true to yourselves and didn't add more light to the fire. I'm very proud of you for calming down the hunter and his dog. And with that, I'll forgive them for attacking me and Tod out of pure anger yesterday.
Littlefoot and Ash: (stare at each with surprised looks but smile happily)
Littlefoot: Thanks.
Vixey: (giggles) No, thank you for everything you did to save us. And thank you for mending his friendship with Copper.
(Littlefoot, Ash, Tod and Vixey hug each other in warm embrace.)
Ash Ketchum: We'll miss you, Tod.
Littlefoot: Yeah, so very much.
Tod: I know. I'll miss you, guys, too. But as long as I'm here with Vixey, I'll be okay.
Littlefoot: Will we ever see you again?
Tod: Of course you will.
(They continue to hug each other in an embrace as the scene goes black. Later that evening a sad Littlefoot and Ash look out the window they both sigh sadly as the flashbacks of them playing with Tod as a young fox appear then it ends as Ash sheds some tears and a sympathetic Chief and Copper come to sit by them.)
Littlefoot: (sadly) Hi, Chief. Hi, Copper
Copper: (concerned) Hey, guys, you okay?
Littlefoot: Uh-huh.
Ash Ketchum: (voice cracking) Yeah.
Chief: (concerned) What's the matter, boys?
Littlefoot: We're starting to miss Tod.
Ash Ketchum: (trying to hold back tears) Sorry. Do you know how heart-breaking it is when best friends part ways and never see each other again afterwards?
Copper: We know how y'all feel.
Chief: Yeah, things can change sometimes.
Littlefoot:: The game preserve is now Tod's home and he is now living with another fox named Vixey.
Copper: Tod made a new friend, huh?
Littlefoot: Uh-huh.
Ash Ketchum: Goodbye may seem forever for Tod. (crying)
(Copper hugs Ash while comforting him. Then Chief hugs Littlefoot while he's also crying.)
Chief: (soothingly) Aww, there, there, sonny.
Copper: (gently) It's okay, Ash. Please don't cry, little buddy. I miss Tod too, he isn't just my best friend. You're also my best friend. Here, let me wipe off those tears. (licking Ash's tears)
(Chief rubs his head gently onto Ash's shoulder.)
Chief: (gently) Buck up, boys. Look on the bright side. You're not the only ones who missed a best friend. Just because best friends part ways that doesn't mean you can forget about them. Right?
Littlefoot and Ash Ketchum: (sadly) Right.
Littlefoot: (sadly) And I hope we meet again.
Chief: Take comfort, boys. We're sure ya will.
(Littlefoot and Ash pull themselves together.)
Littlefoot: When Tod used to live with Mrs. Tweed next door, my friends and I used to play with him. We only had two short days when we first met you as a puppy. Last winter while you guys were out on a hunting trip with Mr. Slade. Tod didn't feel like playing with us because he was too sad.
Ash Ketchum: Copper, we know you're an official hunting dog now and we know your days with Tod are officially over for you.
(Copper smiles warmly upon knowing that Ash understood as he remembered what he said to Tod. Chief also smiled warmly ever since Littlefoot among with his friends are thoughtful towards him ever since he and his friends didn't go near him disturbing his nap like Tod used to. Although Copper went through all the training, he and Chief can't just hunt all the time ever since their day with Littlefoot and his friends was just getting started.)
Copper: Yeah, but on the other hand my days with you and your friends are not over. You know, little buddy, you and your friends can still play with me. (playfully pinning him down) Can you? (tickles Ash's stomach while cheering him up) Huh?
Ash Ketchum: (giggles) Yeah, I can, especially if you're not busy hunting, you, Chief and Mr. Slade can visit my hometown?
Copper: (lightly tickles him) You bet we will, little buddy.
Chief: (smiling warmly) We'd love that, Ash.
Littlefoot: Or maybe you guys can visit my home the great valley.
Shaggy: Maybe you guys among with Mr. Slade can give you a ride in our van.
Scooby-Doo: Yeah, how does that sound?
Copper: Hmm, well, I don't know, guys.
Aladdin: Maybe you can visit Agrabah.
Jack Skellington: Or maybe come to Halloweentown.
Spongebob: Why not come and visit Bikini Bottom under the ocean where Patrick and I live?
Ash Ketchum: Pikachu had been my very first best friend since the beginning of my journey. Being the only child never stopped me from making several friends.
Copper: Yeah, you're now friends with my master and Chief too ever since you and your friends made them happy for the first time ever. I've never seen my grumpy mentor happy before. I'll tell you what, Ash. How about you sleep with me tonight, huh?
Ash Ketchum; Mr. Slade and Chief won't mind will they?
Copper: No, of course they won't, Ash.
Chief: Not at all.
Littlefoot: I guess you'll feel better in the morning.
Ash Ketchum: My mom told me I take a bath before I go to bed.
Copper: Yep, it's bathtime and bedtime, little buddy.
Bagheera: You're right, Copper, Ash's mother says so.
Ash Ketchum: I'm ready.
Bagheera: That's a good boy, Ash.
(Ash is in the bathtub washing himself as Copper sits on the bathroom floor.)
Copper: I'd figured you've been out in the game preserve for 2 days.
Ash Ketchum: Yeah, my mom didn't like to see me get dirty whenever I go into the forest. Sometimes my mom embarrassed me by reminding me to change my underwear every day.
Copper: Oh, boy, this is embarrassing.
Ash Ketchum: Yeah, she really loves me very much.
(Minutes later, Ash is in bed with his pajamas on while Copper lies next to him. They shared a heart felt conversation.)
Ash Ketchum: I'd figured you haven't talked to me and my friends ever since you were away last winter. Our first short days with you as a puppy don't really count.
Copper: I'd figured you're right, Ash. So, this is my first long day with you and your friends. We are just getting started.
Ash Ketchum: You see, Copper, my friends and I met this friendly porcupine at the game preserve yesterday.
Copper: A friendly porcupine?
Ash Ketchum: Uh-huh, the porcupine told me and my friends that he met Tod the first night Mrs Tweed dropped him off at the forest. Plus, he also told us he had a grumpy neighbor named Mr. Digger who is a badger.
Copper: Hmm, now badgers are not friendly critters, Ash, they're very cranky.
Ash Ketchum: Yeah, the porcupine said that Tod's got a grumpy badger mad at him twice. So, my friends and I were told to watch out for the badger and we didn't interact with it anyway. Like, when my and friends were told that Chief didn't like his nap to be disturbed.
Copper: Ash, you and your friends were so smart and thoughtful too.
Ash Ketchum: Yeah, so maybe if you come over to visit, we can scuffle, play frisbee catch, swim in the lake and take long walks.
Copper: I'd love that, Ash.
Ash Ketchum: Great. (yawns)
Copper: Tired, little buddy?
Ash Ketchum: Uh-huh. (about to sleep) Good night, Copper
Copper: (licks Ash's face) Good night, little buddy.
(Copper goes to sleep, snuggling next to Ash. The other heroes smiled warmly upon seeing this heartwarming moment. The next morning as the sun shines and the birds sing, we then cut to inside the barn where Ash is asleep with Copper while the other heroes are asleep, Copper wakes up and stretched then licked Ash's face waking him up.)
Copper: Ash, rise and shine, little buddy.
Ash Ketchum: (yawns and stretches) Good morning, Copper
Copper: Morning, Ash. How'd you sleep, little buddy?
Ash Ketchum: Real good.
(Minutes later the heroes have breakfast in the kitchen.)
Littlefoot: (yawns) Good morning, Grandma and Grandpa.
(Later, Big Mama is sleeping in her tree. She is abruptly awoken by Boomer's wood pecking. Dinky and Boomer are making another attempt to eat Squeaks.)
Dinky: Shh, shh, shh! This is it. We got him for sure now.
(They peak inside the tree, but to their surprise, they see something glowing in there.)
Boomer: Oh my g-g-g-g-gosh!
Dinky and Boomer: (scream in surprise)
Dinky: What happened?
(Suddenly, Squeaks comes out of the tree, revealing that he has gone through metamorphosis and became a butterfly.)
Boomer: Hey, there's something very familiar about those eyes, Dinky.
(Squeaks flies around.)
Dinky: No, it couldn't be. Could it?
(Squeaks flies over to Big Mama, who affectionately giggles when she observes him. Then he proceeds to fly away.)
Big Mama: Bye, Squeaks! Bye! Good luck, honey! (goes back to sleep for a bit, but hears Amos' complaining about his injured leg since he tumbled into his own bear trap)
Amos Slade: Ouch, hey, you're killing me! Ouch! (groans)
Widow Tweed: (tending his leg, that was hurt) Amos Slade, will you hold still? (Amos Slade: Ow!)
Delia Ketchum: Yes, Amos, you're behaving like a child.
Amos Slade: Well, for Gosh sakes! You're hurting my foot, ladies!
Widow Tweed: Nonsense! Your foot is mending fine. You'll soon be yourself. Oh, land sakes! I don't know if we'll like that.
(Mrs. Tweed and Delia share a good laugh before resuming tending Amos' leg)
Amos Slade: Oh, be careful!
Delia Ketchum: Okay. (laughs) Just hold still, silly.
Amos Slade: Ouch! Oh! Ah! Oh! Oh! (groans)
(Littlefoot and the gang, while having a picnic, witness this and giggle, seeing it as a harmless yet friendly argument now that Amos is a humbler, kinder man now.)
Chief: (scoffs) He's sure makin' a big fuss over a little old hurt leg. (goes back to sleep)
Littlefoot: (giggles) Sure glad the doctor said that Amos' injury was a minor fracture.
(Ash chuckles softly and Copper shakes his head smiling.)
Fred Jones: Mr. Slade, sir, the gang thought we'd go out of our way and give you this. (gives him a bus ticket) We think it's time you go and....pay your family a visit. We believe they miss you as much as you miss them.
Daphne Blake: If you want, you can bring your dogs with them. I bet Copper would love to see the little kids in your family for the first time.
Velma Dinkley: And maybe play with them.
(Amos gasped happily while Copper barks happily.)
Amos Slade: (sheds tears) Why-Why thank you, children. Thank you, everybody.
Widow Tweed: (gasps)
(Our heroes smile warmly. Mrs. Tweed, having not seen her grumpy neighbor that happy before, was deeply touched at this kind gesture and begins crying tears of happiness.)
Widow Tweed: (overly emotional) Oh! (blows her nose) This is so beautiful! I had no idea he has a big family too! Oh, you kids made him so happy! (cries emotionally)
Amos Slade: Now, I've also got something to say too. As you all know, I haven't always been the friendliest man in the world nor the friendliest neighbor ever. And I would like to apologize for that. But after all that has happened, you've helped me open myself up to the world again. Now, I want to give something to all of you in return. For starters, you're no longer forbidden to play with my hunting dogs. You can play with them anytime and any day as often as you want! And you're also welcome to visit me as often as you want!
(our heroes gasps with excitement)
Heroes: (cheer happily)
SpongeBob and Patrick: Yay!!
Misty: That's so sweet of you!
Amos Slade: You've all showed me that hunting dogs are more than just what they're bred to do. They're just like every other dogs. And like most dogs, they're also bred for other things. And one of those is connecting with humans. Including children. (our heroes are emotionally touched by this) I wish I'd realized it sooner.
Ash Ketchum: Thank you so much, Mr. Slade. (hugs Amos and he hugs back)
Amos Slade: (chuckles warmly) My pleasure, son.
Eilonwy: Thank you very, very much!
Taran: (shakes his hand) Yes, sir, thank you!
(Our heroes walk up and all say "thank you" to him. It was something Amos had not gotten before since his own children moved out and lived on their own. The old man chuckled warmly and hugged them tightly like they were his grandchildren. Copper walks up to the heroes and hugs Ash.)
Copper: I love you, Ash. And I love you, guys. (licking Ash's face)
Littlefoot: We love you too, Copper.
Cera: Hey, Copper, let's have some fun!
Copper: Okay, let's go!
Ducky: How about some hide and seek?
Patrick: Oh, goody, hide and seek!
Daffy Duck: This time no interruptions.
(Littlefoot, Ash, the other heroes and Copper play with each other. Ash giggles as he looks for Copper.)
Copper: (jumps out from the bush) Boo! (laughs) Gotcha!
Ash Ketchum: (laughs) You sure did, Copper!
Amos Slade: (to Delia) Hey, Delia?
Delia Ketchum: Yes, Amos?
Amos Slade: I, uh.... Listen, I-I-I know what I did was- You see.... The way I've behaved towards you, your husband, and Professor Oak back then... w-was inexcusable and unforgivable. And I know it's too late for me to reearn my visitation rights to the Pokémon world. But if it makes things better for everybody and for your son, do you think that it's too late for us to maybe, you know....start over?
(Brief silence)
Delia Ketchum: Hmm.... (thinks things over for a little while) You know what, Amos? I would say.... it's never too late!
(Everyone gasps in surprise.)
Heroes: YAY!!!! (cheers happily and dances with joy)
(Copper playfully tackles Ash and laughs as he affectionately licks his face.)
Ash Ketchum: Hey, Copper?
Copper: Hmm?
Ash Ketchum: After all that you and Mr. Slade put Tod and his mate, Vixey, through, do you think that they still forgave you? Especially after Tod defended you from that bear?
Copper: (feels sad when he mentioned it but thinks it over) I've been asking that question for the past two days. And I always wondered whether or not Tod and that other fox had forgiven me and my master for all we did. But you know what?
Ash Ketchum: What?
Copper: I believed they already have. Tod has been my best friend since we were puppies. And no matter how far apart we are, we'll always remain best friends forever.
(Littlefoot, Ash, Scooby, Bugs, and the gang are touched by this heart-warming gesture. Copper then goes to sleep, but not before recalling the moment where he and Tod first met as little pups.)
Young Tod: (voiceover) Copper..., you're my very best friend.
Young Copper: (voiceover) And you're mine too, Tod.
Young Tod: (voiceover) And we'll always be friends forever. Won't we?
Young Copper: (voiceover) Yeah, forever.
(Littlefoot gasps and sees something in amazement. He gets everyone else's attention, and, to their amazement, they see Tod and Vixey looking down at them on the hilltop. They all smile warmly, but knowing that even if they'll never see each other again, Tod and Copper will always remain friends forever. For no matter how apart or how different they are, nothing will stand in between them and sever their bonding friendship ever again.)
THE END
Bonus Ending: Bowser's new prisoner[]
(Night at Amos's yard)
Amos Slade: Chief! Copper! Dinner! (hears nothing) Boys? Oh, where are they? (heads outside) Boys? (whistles) Boys, come here! I have food out for ya! (gasps; shocked to see the villains and his dogs tied up) YOU.... (prepares to fire his gun, but his mouth gets sealed, and ropes are tied around him, and his gun falls slightly out of his reach)
Jafar: (OS, Hook VO) Alright men, take him away.
(scene transcends to Bowser's Castle, Team Rocket hauls Amos to their master)
Jessie: This is the mad man who hired us.
Meowth: And tried to kill the twerp and his friends.
(Bowser looks suspiciously at their prisoner, Amos gasps)
Bowser: Leave him to me.
(As Bowser walks down as Kamek brings Amos closer with his magic)
Bowser: What is your name?
Amos Slade: Uh, Amos Slade.
Bowser: Not sure you know who I am. But I’m about to capture an Eltarian Sorcerer, and rule the world.
Amos Slade: Wow. Hehehe. Yay.
Bowser: But there’s one problem, Mr. Slade. There’s a group of heroes who will stop me, one of them is a human with a friend just like you. Do you know him?
Amos Slade: No. No!
Bowser: Ah. A tough one, I see. (grabs Amos's moustache) Maybe this will get you to talk.
Amos Slade: Do you think I know every human being with an animal friend wearing an great outfit with a hat with the logo of his great accomplishment? Because I don't.
Bowser: (pluck a hair, grabs Amos, starts pulling the whole moustache) Do you know him?!
Amos Slade: Yes! Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop! I know him. Yes, I know him. Yeah. He's Ash Ketchum. And yes, I tried to kill him along with his dinosaur friend, Littlefoot and everyone else, but I didn't!
Bowser: Why would you do that?!
Amos Slade: Because they were helping a fox named Tod. But I didn't kill him because he and his friends saved me, and his mother will kill me if I do. Now, please, let me and my dogs go or I'll....
Bowser: (rips more hairs)
Amos Slade: (screams in pain)
Bowser: Get him out of my sight! We'll see how tough this mad man is when his dogs watch me KILL THEIR MASTER!
Team Rocket: Sir!
(Amos is taken to a dungeon in a hanging cage)
Amos Slade: Where am I?
Lumalee: (giggles) Home.
Iron Masked Marauder: Pay him no heed. He is cute, but he is... (whistles)
Lumalee: In an insane world, it is the sane who is called crazy. (blow on pinwheel)
Amos Slade: How long you guys been in here?
Lumalee: Time, like hope, is an illusion.
Iron Masked Marauder: Please, we are depressed enough.
Amos Slade: There's gotta be a way out of here.
Lumalee: There is no escape. The only hope is the sweet relief of death.
Prisoners: No!
Iron Masked Marauder: Oh, you've got to be kidding me!
Amos Slade: (King Triton VO, remorseful) Oh, what have I done? What have I done?
