Major Nixel (sometimes called Colonel Nixel or General Nix) is the leader of the Nixels swarm and the secondary antagonist of the Mixels franchise.
History[]
Another Nixel[]
One of the first attempts to disturb the peace ends in disaster. Major Nixel instructs three Nixels to bring back a Cubit from each tribe, which two fail in doing. When the successful one come backs, it brings a Cubit, along with Zaptor & Seismo Mix. The Mix attacks Major Nixel, and the Nixels laugh at him.
Nixel "Mix Over[]
Fed up that his last plan was ruined, Major Nixel then paints two Nixels different colors to confuse Mixels, and so he sends them to get a Cubit. When the Nixels come back with it, Major Nixel confuses them for Mixels and sends the whole swarm after them. He then runs away with the Cubit, but the Lunk & Balk Mix takes it away from him.
Mixed Up Special[]
Many say that Major Nixel's worst moment was in the Mixed Up Special. In the Epic Comedy Adventure Minisode, he arguably crosses the Moral Event Horizon when he attacks the Mixels during their annual Mix Festival. In the Special it was revealed that Major Nixel has an aircraft shaped like a metal cloud; he flies over the festival in the aircraft and drops a bomb-like weapon called a Mega Nixel Mixel Nixer on the Mixels, turning every Mixel within range to transform into a zombie-like version of themselves and destroying their Cubits in the process.
The MNMN also required many Nixels to be sacrificed. Fortunately, not all the Mixels were Nixed because all the tribe leaders had left the festival to get more hamlogna sandwiches after Zaptor ate them all. Major Nixel at first celebrated his victory, but when they returned, the tribe leaders tried to attack Major Nixel, only to be chased away by a swarm of his minions.
Major Nixel attempted to chase after the Mixels as well, but instead ran out of breath quickly and instead decided to make cupcakes, revealing that he may be out of shape.
Meanwhile, the tribe leaders collected more Cubits from the top of Mixel Mountain by smashing a giant Rainbow Cubit which undid the effects of the Mega Nixel Mixel Nixer and fought their way back to the festival. Then Major Nixel is humiliated in front of all the Mixels when the Flain/Gobba Mix smashes cupcakes in his face. He then swears revenge on the Mixels as he storms away, only to trip and run away crying.
Calling All Mixels[]
Major Nixel also appears in the Calling All Mixels app game as a boss. He carries a military baton which he uses to attack Mixels by whacking them with it. He can also call more Nixels.
On Cartoon Network's Calling All Mixels trailer, Major Nixel breaks the 4th wall multiple times by appearing on the screen and grabbing Cubits from the Mixels in the game.
Mixel Moon Madness[]
Major Nixel does not actually appear at all in this episode until the very end, where he receives word from one of his spies that there are Mixels out in space. Frustrated by the news, Major Nixel claims that "if King Nixel gets word about this, he'll blow his top!". Major Nixel, long thought to have been the leader of the Nixels, approaches his now-known superior to address the news, which results in King Nixel shouting angrily.
Mixel Rush[]
Not long after, the Major unleashes a Nixelstorm to blow away and separate the Mixels from each other; believing their weakness to be loneliness. However, the plan fails multiple times, and King Nixel gets so enraged that he decides to take matters into his own hands.
A Quest for the Lost Mixamajig[]
Meeting with Major in his throne room, King Nixel scolds him on his many failures and threatens to take away his mustache. Major Nixel pleads for him not to, and King Nixel then explains to him his plan to turn the Mixels against each other. Major is then sent to find a Mixel to trick. Settling on Snoof, the Major orders his Nixels to board an egg-shaped capsule, allowing the plan to be set into motion.
Later on, when all of the Mixels were in one place so King Nixel could exterminate them, they Max; destroying the sack that Major Nixel had trapped them in. Major gets scared and flees the scene in his boss' airship.
Nixel, Nixel, Go Away[]
Major Nixel assists King Nixel by getting their Nixels into the city of Mixopolis and starting a colorless invasion. When everybody trades in their old Cubits for the King's I-Cubit invention, they are rounded up by Major at Mixopolis Stadium to be nixed while he observes from the airship.
Back at the I-Cubit Building, a Glorp Corp Mixel named Booger defeatsKing Nixel for good through 'coordinated group dancing'. Major, realizing their defeat, accepts it and flies away from the city; telling the Nixel minion beside him that they have a nice long vacation ahead of them.
Trivia[]
- Major Nixel despises Mixels, and he will do anything he can to please his master. He is quick to anger, very easily. He treats the other Nixels like how a tornado treats cars; throwing and kicking them around and forcing them to steal Cubits. He might not be very smart, as he confused two Nixels for Mixels not long after he himself painted them to look like Mixels. On the other hand, he might just have a terrible memory, or he could possibly be old. Either way, he is disliked by practically every character, including his own minions.
- Despite his hatred for Mixels, Major Nixel can also be a little bit cowardly. When pressured, the Major is known to break down on the ground, almost in tears. He freaks out at the sight of his own leader, and struggles to make things right when the King calls him out as a failure.
- He was voiced by Fred Tatasciore in Season 1, Rodger Bumpass in Mixel Moon Madness and is currently voiced by Peter Jason(who also does Turg, Tuth and Wuzzo).
