Malekith the Accursed (Marvel Cinematic Universe)
Malekith the Accursed is the main antagonist of the 2013 Marvel Cinematic Universe film Thor: The Dark World, the second installment in the Thor film series.
He is the ruthless and cruel leader of the Dark Elves and the realm of Svartalfheim, who plots to plunge the universe back into eternal darkness. In ancient times, he was the arch-nemesis of the late King Bor of Asgard.
He was portrayed by Christopher Eccleston, who also portrayed Raymond Calitri in Gone in 60 Seconds, Henry West in 28 Days Later, the 9th Doctor in Doctor Who, Destro in G.I. Joe, and Thomas Howard, Duke of Norfolk in Elizabeth.
