Mr. Freeze

Mr. Freeze (aka Victor Fries) is a cold-hearted criminal who once partnered himself with Bowser and his family in Pooh's Adventures of Batman and Mr. Freeze: SubZero.

History[]

Early History[]

Before becoming a super-criminal, Mr. Freeze was Dr. Victor Fries, an employee at GothCorp working on cryogenics as means of advancing medical treatment. The first notable test subject for his experiment was his beloved wife Nora Fries, whom had received a terminal diagnosis. He had her placed into cryostasis until he could find a cure for her condition so they could go on with their lives together.

These hopes were dashed, however, when GothCorp's CEO Ferris Boyle ordered Fries to shut down his experiment, claiming that Fries was wasting his money on keeping Nora's cryo-chamber functioning. During their argument, Boyle kicked Fries into several containers of cryochemicals, which then altered his metabolism. As a result of the chemical cocktail, Fries could no longer survive outside of sub-zero temperatures. This then led him to design an armored suit to keep his core temperatures below zero. Fries also invented a "freezing gun" that later became his weapon of choice as he completed his transformation into Mr. Freeze.

Batman: The Animated Series[]

Freeze first encountered Batman during a robbery of one of GothCorp's main facilities. From this and several others around the city, he stole equipment to build a larger version of his freezing gun with which he would use to trap Boyle in ice as revenge for him presumably killing Nora by having her machine shut down.

While Freeze was initially able to overpower Batman with his freezing gun, it only gave the Dark Knight a cold that he was able to power through.

Ultimately, Freeze was defeated when Batman threw a thermos of chicken soup onto his helmet, causing it to shatter from the temperature difference, but not before justice was served for Ferris Boyle.

Equipment & Abilities[]

Freeze's main equipment include his powered cryosuit, which has a self-contained sub-zero environment in which Freeze can survive. His weapon of choice is his "freezing gun", which could fire a blast of ice that could freeze anything it landed on, including people.

Trivia[]

Mr. Freeze will get revenge on Pooh and his friends in future adventures until he reformed.
Mr. Freeze will become Tino Tonitini, Ash Ketchum, Littlefoot, Scooby-Doo, and their friends' enemy in Tino's Adventures of Batman The Animated Series and Tino Tonitini and The New Batman Adventures.
