Mylène

Mylène Haprèle (aka Polymouse) is a student in Miss Bustier's class at Collège Françoise Dupont. In "Horrificator", after feeling humiliated for getting scared easily while filming Nino Lahiffe's movie, she gets akumatized by Hawk Moth and becomes Horrificator, a monster supervillain.

In "Gang of Secrets", after Marinette keeps hiding secrets from them, Mylène is re-akumatized by Shadow Moth into Horrificator along with Reflekta, Princess Fragrance, Timebreaker and Lady Wifi, the five supervillains all form the Gang of Secrets, a group of supervillains who want to reveal Marinette's secrets.

In "Mega Leech", in order to defeat Malediktator and his titular sentimonster, Mylène receives the Mouse Miraculous from Ladybug. When the Miraculous is inhabited by Mullo, Mylène becomes Polymouse, a mouse-themed superhero who helps Ladybug and Cat Noir during particularly different missions’ in the fourth season and beyond.

  • She will appears in Tino's Adventures of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir.

  • Mylène's first name may be a French variation of the name "Milena", which translates into "dearly". Alternately, it may be a combination of "Marie" (perhaps "sea" or "bitter" or "beloved, or reference to any of a number of literary Marys) and "Hélène" (likely "torch" or the electrical-discharge light show now commonly known as "St. Elmo's fire", or reference to any of a number of literary Helens).
    • In the Serbian dub, her name is changed to Milena.
  • Her akumatization appears to be heavily influenced by the movie the class makes in "Horrificator", as well as reshaping the movie.
    • Her akumatized form looks similar to the mask Ivan is wearing for the film.
    • Since her akumatized form is named after the movie's monster, this makes Mylène one of the villains that Hawk Moth technically doesn't name.
  • In her webisode, "Mylène", it is revealed that she is interested in politics and would like to make Paris a better place for its inhabitants.
  • Along with the Mime, Horrificator is one of the two akumatized supervillains without a speaking role in Season 1.
    • Coincidentally, they are biologically related as father and daughter.
