Nana, Mio's Leavanny

This Leavanny nicknamed "Nana" is one of Mio Akiyama's Pokemon.

As Sewaddle

Nana first appeared as a Sewaddle in Island of the Giant Pokémon as part of the separation due to Gyarados' Dragon Rage cyclone. Upon her debut, she was Level 15.

She was Level 16 by the episode Tentacool & Tentacruel, where she battled the giant Tentacruel as she was mounted on Liam's Fearow, but was quickly defeated by its tentacles.

She was present in The Ghost of Maiden's Peak where she was seen with Mio, much like her Trainer, she was terrified of the illusion ghosts made by Gastly. She was Level 17 when she battled it, but was easily defeated by the look of Venustoise.

She was seen in Bye Bye Butterfree when she saw Ash's Butterfree get rejected, she was still Level 17 by this point.

She later appeared again with Mio in Abra and the Psychic Showdown as later revealed that Misty was afraid of it due to her fear of bugs, she was later terrified along with Mio due to both curled up in a corner, thinking alike. By this point, she was Level 19.

In The Tower of Terror, Nana was revealed to be Level 20 and remained out of its Poke Ball for the entire episode as she along with Mio, Ben, and a Cubone named Orphan helped Ash find a Ghost type Pokemon. She along with Mio, Ben and Orphan were traumatized due to the poltergeist.

They went back in to try again, when Haunter surprises them and Ben almost falls to his death when he slipped and falls into a hole but clinging on, Mio didn't know how to save Ben, while Nana willingly wanted to help him no matter what, and this caused her to evolve into Swadloon.

As Swadloon

After evolving, she managed to rescue Ben from the hole and bring him to safety. She later warns them about Ash, Ben and Pikachu being crushed by a chandelier. She was later seen waiting for them to wake up.

In Haunter vs. Kadabra, Nana was still Level 20 due to her recent evolution from Sewaddle to Swadloon, she wasn't convinced about Haunter and needed to get used to it. She was later seen running from Sabrina, to avoid being turned to dolls until she was saved by Sabrina's father using his teleportation to escape.

In Primeape Goes Bananas, Mio used Nana to fight a rampaging Primeape alongside Ritsu and Rapture as well as Ash and Charmander. Mio realized that there was no more running away and fight, Nana did just that. With Mio's heartfelt call, Nana grew to Level 21 and evolved into Leavanny.

As Leavanny

She was sent out to play with the kids in A Bout With Sprout, and she even made some leaf clothes for them. By this point, she was Level 41.

She was later used in The Grass Route! where she battled an unknown trainer's Budew, she managed to land a hit, but was poisoned by Poison Point, and was defeated by it, she was Level 43.

In All Things Bright and Beautifly, Ben asked Mio if he can temporarily use Nana to create a dress for Mugi as part of his show as a Special Guest, which Mio accepted, Ben asked Nana to use her threads to sew them together. By Hoenn, she was Level 57.

In TBA, Mio was given a Buginium Z prior to the episode, where she and Mio performed the Z-Move, Savage Spin-Out for the first time, against Team Skull, which she easily defeated them with relative ease.

In Showdown at the Gates of Warp!, Nana was sent out to battle Alternative World Team Rocket alongside Rapture the Staraptor, but before the Nurturing Pokémon could do anything, she devolved back into Swadloon while Staraptor devolved back into Staravia and was forced to be recalled back to it's Poké Ball. Nana as a Swadloon, was then sent out alongside Rapture as a Staravia, but she instantly devolved into Sewaddle, while Staravia devolved into Starly, and they instantly turned into an egg due to Dialga and Palkia's fighting, and every other Pokémon turned into eggs as well while the Trainers including the Miraculous French team, Negi's Classmtes, Dora, Liam, Ben, Ashley, Sydney, the entire Light Music Club including Sawako and Nodoka Manabe, as well as Stitch deaged into little kids and a baby alien, the effect of deaging couldn't affect Lilo due to already being young, Tabby Darklight for being humanoid, and Sayo who was a ghost. Moments after the Alternate World Team Rocket was defeated and Ash and his friends prayed for Dialga and Palkia to stop fighting, a silhouette of Arceus appeared, calmed the temporal and spacial Pokémon down and destroyed the Red Chain. Dialga and Palkia fixed the damage their fighting caused and returned everyone back to their respective dimensions, while also granting their wish to reverse the devolution effects on all of their Pokémon, returning Sewaddle and Starly's eggs all the way back to Leavanny and Staraptor, respectively.

Personality and characteristics

When Nana was a Sewaddle, she was quite shy, but this was later revealed that she began to act like her Trainer, she is shown to be quite cowardly and would often act the same way as Mio would do, Nana can't stand anything that involves gory stuff.

After she evolved into Swadloon, she matured slightly, and began to warm up to the others, although she was a little nervous around Ghost Pokémon, she was later shown to be quite brave when she decided to fight Primeape.

After evolving into Leavanny, her personality had been revamped. Like most Leavanny, she adopted a more caring nature and acts like a parent to the other Pokémon. She has also became very independent, prancing off on her own to find leaves to use for clothes, taking a lot of pride in her work, which was shown in A Bout With Sprout.

Nana revealed her gentle and kind side where she helped Miki out by making designs, although in Make Room for Gloom, she was scared about the insecticide sprayer thinking it was flamethrower that Potter had, which was one of her weaknesses being Fire-types.

As of The Wacky Watcher, Nana is shown to have had enough of Ritsu's smart alec and wise-guy attitude, and used Razor Leaf as payback.

She meets Ryan in the Unova Region as a Sewaddle, once she grew and evolved into a Swadloon and later Leavanny.
