Old Oscar is an old gray, later green biplane and one of the main characters in Jay Jay the Jet Plane. He's voiced by Chuck Morgan in the first two seasons and Michael Donovan in the third season. He acts as a grandfather figure.

Old Oscar is a spry, crusty old biplane from a bygone era, the earliest years of aviation. In his younger age, he was a brainstorming biplane who performed stunt tricks with air circus pilots that used to tour the countryside. He had a brief stint in silent movies and air shows as a stunt plane, before he ended up in Tarrytown as one of the first planes in the EZ Airlines fleet. Like a well known grandfather, he is a great storyteller who breaks in important lessons to the kids as they find their way in the skies. He is Lina's uncle.

In the CGI live action series, Old Oscar is repainted green with blue wheels with stars. His back has a red and white stripe with yellow and blue on it. His propeller is made of wood, with a red nose and has mustache a on it.
