Oliver Cromwell, also known as Lord Protector, is the main antagonist of the British/American animated film, Wolfwalkers.

- Though he is never referred by his real name, the Lord Protector is based on Oliver Cromwell, a real English General who lived during the English Civil War. The real Oliver Cromwell was extremely controversial and was responsible for genocidal or near-genocidal attacks on Catholics. He was considered by many Irish people to be a regicidal dictator.
- Unlike in the Wolfwalkers film, the real Oliver Cromwell died of natural causes.
- Oliver Cromwell is similar to Judge Claude Frollo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame since they're both delusional by believing that their evil actions against gypsies and wolves are in accordance to the Lord.
- He will be Ryan Freestar's, Meg Griffin's and their friends' enemy in Ryan's Adventures of Wolfwalkers
