Omega (オメガ Omega), also known as the "God of Destruction", the "Devil Reploid", or the "Ultimate Reploid", is a central antagonist and the final boss of Mega Man Zero 3. He is a Reploid created by Dr. Weil as the "perfect ruler" for his Project Elpizo, meant to dominate all Reploids with the power of the Dark Elf.
Omega also appears as a secret boss in Mega Man ZX, granting the player access to Biometal Model O.
Appearance[]
In his massive frame, Omega is a giant Reploid with knight-like armor and a long coat. His armor is white and black with red highlights, and his arms are sharp claws detached from his shoulders, which can float freely around his body. His helmet features a black visor that covers his entire face, with a scowling mouth carved below. He has long pink hair rising from the top of the helmet that reaches his feet. He wears a gigantic beam saber on his back that is normally coated in metal. Upon absorbing the Dark Elf, his color scheme changes to gold and black with blue highlights.
Hidden within Omega's frame is his true form: the original body of Zero. It looks exactly the same as Zero's replacement body in the Mega Man Zero series, but with a slightly darker red color, pale hair, and a purple saber. Interestingly, Omega's ponytail does not emerge from his helmet until he summons it before his boss battle.
Personality[]
At first, Omega is depicted as Dr. Weil's mindless servant. He is totally obedient to Weil, reverently addressing him as Lord Weil, and exhibits no desires of his own. He rarely speaks in anything but growls and roars, as if a beast. Weil claims he had developed a grudge against Zero and X for defeating him in the first place. Before fighting Zero in Weil's lab, he laughs and calls Zero by name.
Once his true form is revealed, Omega lets loose and shows his true colors as a megalomaniacal monster with a god complex. He doubtlessly believes in Weil's insane purpose for him, and when he speaks his first full sentence, he declares himself a Messiah and laughs maniacally. He values the Dark Elf for her power, showing concern when she is reverting back to the Mother Elf.
In Mega Man X DiVE, Omega's personality is expanded on. Not only does he see himself as a Messiah, but he strangely believes himself to be the real Zero. Despite being merely a new personality inhabiting Zero's original body, he is unable to comprehend how other characters speak of Zero as a separate person.
