Pegasolta Eclair (ペガソルタ・エクレール) is one of the Einherjar Eight Warriors in Mega Man Zero 4, a Mutos Reploid based on the flying horse Pegasus from Greek mythology. He occupies the Hanging Gardens, a flying fortress equipped with weather control machines to create acid rain and lighting storms over Area Zero.
History[]
Pegasolta Eclair was previously in charge of the Hanging Gardens for peaceful purposes, but always dreamed of being assigned to combat. Once Dr. Weil came into rule of Neo Arcadia, he saw this ambition, and redesigned Pegasolta for battle and transferred him to a combat squad.
Pegasolta is first shown alongside the other Einherjar, berating Popla Cocapetri for not being back on time. He is disappointed when Craft orders them to stand down and let Zero live for now.
He then returns to the Hanging Gardens, threatening to harm Area Zero's natural environments with acid rain and thunderstorms. Upon facing Zero, Pegasolta calls Operation Ragnarok beautiful and expresses disgust for the humans for not appreciating Dr. Weil's rule. He is destroyed, despite believing he was too beautiful to die.
Pegasolta is revived in Ragnarok to prevent Zero from reaching Weil. He compares the fall of Ragnarok to the fall of Eurasia centuries prior, upon his defeat showing shock and horror that Zero is still trying to save the world.
