Plucky, Kathy's Blaziken

Nicknamed "Plucky", this Blaziken (as a Torchic) is one of Kathy's Pokemon she owns.

Story

As Torchic

Plucky is Kathy's very first Pokémon she received on her tenth birthday. They have been together for a year prior to meeting Miki and her friends.

In ZigZag Zangoose!, she was used to battle Team Rocket, she defeated Cacnea with Ember, but after doing so, she evolved into Combusken, and learning Sky Uppercut in the process.

As Combusken

After she evolved, she demonstrated her new move, Sky Uppercut to send Meowth flying.

In Solid as a Solrock, She was used in Kathy's Gym Battle against Tate and Liza, when she was teamed up with Liam's Marshtomp. During the fight, Plucky evolved into Blaziken.

As Blaziken

After taking major damage from Solrock and Lunatone, Plucky evolved and learned Blaze Kick in the process. She took Solrock out with Sky Uppercut, allowing Liam's Marshtomp who had evolved into Swampert at the same time as Plucky did, to defeat Lunatone with Hydro Pump.

Personality and characteristics

Plucky will follow her trainer Kathy with unsteady steps. She dislikes darkness, as she cannot see her surroundings.

After she evolved into a Combusken, she became more braver, and is more stoic. She is also no longer afraid of the dark, and shares some traits of Kathy. Combusken tends to be more of a leader since she was Kathy's first Pokemon she owned. She has also developed an interest of battling due to Liam's Breloom helping her get stronger.

After she became a Blaziken, she had developed more into protecting Kathy and more adept at battling for her friends, and is rather passive and more focused at battling.

Plucky saved Kathy's life.

Liam's Breloom

She would sometimes have a spar with Liam's Breloom for training. She was present when Liam's Shroomish evolved into Breloom when she was a Torchic. Thanks to Breloom, Plucky loves to battle, and continued this even after evolving into Blaziken, she sees Liam's Breloom as a friendly rivalry.

• Plucky was named after the giant chicken monster from the Nintendo Wii game, "Rampage: Total Destruction."
• She has an Adamant nature, her characteristic is "Pround of its power", and her Ability is Speed Boost.
• As Torchic, Plucky's known attacks are Peck, Ember, Sand Attack and Quick Attack. As Combusken, her known moves are Fire Spin, Quick Attack, Sky Uppercut and Aerial Ace. As Blaziken, her known moves are Overheat, Blaze Kick, Sky Uppercut and Aerial Ace.
• She is voiced by Michele Knotz as Torchic, Bill Rogers as Combusken, and James Carter Cathcart as Blaziken.
• With Kathy's Key Stone and the Blazikenite that Plucky owns, she can Mega Evolve into Mega Blaziken.
