Ren Amamiya is the Protagonist of Persona 5. He's a transfer student at Shujin Academy in Shibuya. In the beginning of the game, he has little to no power or influence in the world, and is restrained by the rules of the system he was born into.
However, beneath his quiet demeanor is a strong-willed juvenile delinquent known throughout the world as The Phantom, to the residents of the Velvet Room he is known as the Trickster, and to his teammates his code name is Joker. The protagonist is the leader of the rebellious Phantom Thieves of Hearts which aims to change society by touching the hearts of people and performing illegal heists. At the beginning of Persona 5, he was falsely accused of rape by a corrupt politician named Masayoshi Shido. However, it was later revealed at the end of Persona 5 that the whole thing with Shido was a "game", set up by a being known as Yaldabaoth, the "God Of Control", and the true form of the Holy Grail of Mementos. Yaldabaoth wanted to prove that mankind, if they still had freedom, would face ruin. He forced Ren into his rigged game, and after changing the cognition of everyone in Tokyo so the Phantom Thieves no longer existed, merged the Cognitive World of Mementos, the Metaverse, with the Real World, creating the Qlipoth World. Because Cognition becomes Reality in the cognitive world, and the real world had become one with the Metaverse, this resulted in the erasure of the Phantom Thieves from reality. However, they were merely imprisoned in the Velvet Room, which Yaldabaoth had taken control of after besting Igor, who manages the Velvet Room. Yaldabaoth (who took Igor's form throughout the whole game) offered Ren a deal, saying that he would return the world to normal, and the Phantom Thieves would be heroes, but mankind would be unable to choose for themselves. Ren refused, and Yaldabaoth left, which resulted in the real Igor being freed. Igor helped the Phantom Thieves return to reality, where they would finish the final battle against the God Of Control. After a long and hard battle, Yaldabaoth tried to erase the Phantom Thieves from reality, but they refused to vanish. Ren gathered the rebellious hearts of all of Tokyo, and created his Ultimate Persona, Satanael, who proceeded to finish off Yaldabaoth with one shot to the head. (check his bio for more)

- Akira Kurusu named was only on Manga, yet the name shall be mainly and officially used for Pooh's Adventures, Lilo's Adventures and others.
