The boy is a child who appears in Season 2 of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir.
In "Sandboy", after having a nightmare due to watching a scary movie alone by himself, he is akumatized by Hawk Moth into Sandboy, a nightmare-themed supervillain.
Appearance[]
Physical appearance[]
The boy has black hair with blue reflections and dark blue eyes. He has fairly light skin, and his height is average for a child.
Civilian attire[]
He wears teal-and-white one-piece pajamas with Knightowl's logo in the center of it. He also wears socks with orange and white stripes.
As Sandboy[]
Sandboy is short with smaller proportions and has pale blue skin with white spots that resemble stars, purple eyes, and yellow eyebrows. He has purple hair with curled tips and an upward position with a glowing dotted line on each part, making the hair look like octopus tentacles. Over each eye, there is a yellow line. He wears a dark purple bodysuit with a large collar, the inner lining of which being yellow, and a nearly white glowing symbol on the chest. The villain also has lower arms which are thick with glowing dotted lines going down them. He also appears to be riding a dark purple item with cream-colored pointed tips that has resemblance to a pillow.
Personality[]
The boy is a happy boy. He is very energetic. He can be easily scared when something scares him, like in Sandboy when he watched a scary movie on TV and had a nightmare (which caused him to get akumatized). He was also very excitable when Ladybug offered to take him home.
As Sandboy, he is more confident and demanding but at the same time as he was focused on Ladybug he left himself wide open.
Abilities[]
As Sandboy[]
As Sandboy, he can cause the nightmares/bad dreams of others to be brought to reality by using multicolored sand that comes from his pillow cloud, which he uses as transportation. The sand is capable of going right through buildings to reach victims. He can also shoot the sand at his opponents from the cloud, and it will still have the same effects.
Trivia[]
- He will appear in Pooh's Adventures of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir.
- He will appear in Tino's Adventures of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir.
- Sandboy appears another time in "Gamer 2.0" for Gamer's powers.
- So far in the series, he is the first villain to see a kwami while akumatized and know what it is.
- His supervillain name is based off the Sandman, a mythical character in Western and Northern European folklore who puts people to sleep and brings good dreams by sprinkling magical sand onto people as they sleep.
- However, his powers operate parallel to the Sandman's, as he brings nightmares to life as opposed to creating dreams.
