Serena

Serena is a Pokémon trainer and Ash's long-lost childhood friend. She remembers Ash from their childhood when the two of them attended the Oak summer camp in Pallet Town. During this time, Serena had fallen and injured her leg; Ash then helped her with her injury, causing Serena to fall in love with him. After seeing Ash on TV, and still having feelings for him, she decided to leave home to reacquaint herself with Ash, and upon doing so, comes along with him on his journey despite having no specified goal (this being the first time ever since Ash himself asked a female friend to join him on his journey). But after experiencing numerous events like the Sycamore summer camp, she learns about Pokémon Showcases from Shauna and decides to become a Pokémon Performer.

Personality[]

Serena is a very nice, kind, flirty, gentle and polite girl, although she was rebellious and disobeyed her mother at the start of her journey. In addition to her kindness, she is very helpful, always concerned about what her friends are doing, especially Ash, and tries her best to keep their spirits up. She also has a passion for fashion and clothes, always searching for the prettiest and most stylish outfits to wear. As a result, she hates getting dirty and being soaked in mud. Much like May, Serena also adores trying out the various popular food spots in cities and towns, especially desserts. However, unlike May, Serena is very modest and demure--at one point in the anime, she almost got injured when she chose to hold her skirt down while falling rather than making a safe landing. She also gets incredibly flustered and embarrassed very easily, especially when someone teases her about her not‐so‐secret crush on Ash. She also easily gets jealous if someone, like Miette, attempts to take Ash away from her.

Serena is mainly one of Ash's girlfriends in Ash's Adventures alongside Misty, May, Dawn and Lillie.
Serena will be mentioned by Ash during a conversation with Max Goof in Ash's Adventures of A Goofy Movie and will fully introduce her to him and his father in Pooh and Ash's Adventures of An Extremely Goofy Movie.
Serena is set to appear in Pooh's Adventures Chronicles Movie - Battle for the Sorcerer's Hat. where she reunites with Ash Ketchum and becomes a rival of Misty, but helps Pooh and his friends to steal back The Sorcerer's Hat from The New United Alliance of Evil. It is unknown rather she be in her original look or her new look.
Serena will first guest star in Tino's Adventures of Scooby-Doo! Abracadabra-Doo and Pooh's Adventures of Freddie as F.R.O.7.
Serena will meet Team Robot in Team Robot In Pokemon XY The Series.
In Noby Ran Away from Home: The Musical, she and May became rivals over Ash and who will be his girlfriend.
In Lady Kalos (RFFAoMToLaCN), Serena becomes the next target for Hawk Moth after losing the Theme challenge in her first Pokémon Performance debut and akumatized into Lady Kalos

In the series, Power Rangers Data Squad, Serena will have a love interest for Robbie in his brave courage and a strong heart.

In Tino's Adventures of Teen Titans: Aftershock, Serena's brave action of bringing peace between Terra and the Teen Titans is remarkably similar to how Pocahontas brought peace between the English settlers and her people and how Kiara and Kovu brought peace between Simba and Zira's prides.
