Family

Grace:

Grace wanted Serena to be a Rhyhorn racer like her, but when she sees Serena's passion for performing, Grace begins to realize Serena wants differently and respects her daughter's decision to compete in showcases. Serena finds the clothes her mother picks for her unfashionable. Despite this, Serena cares a lot for her mother, who admits that she saw a change in Serena on her journey and was proud of the person she became.

Friends

Ash Ketchum:

Although they are close friends, Serena has strong feelings for Ash, which started when they first met when they were little. Serena tripped and hurt herself when a Poliwag startled her as she was scared until Ash arrived as he used a handkerchief to dress her wound. Ever since traveling with Ash as he asked her to join the group as she instantly accepted, Serena would blush whenever she was amazed by him, talked to him or when people talk about her crush. Serena even helps Ash out and is always worried about him whenever they get separated, when he gets hurt or when he takes risks even if it is just to help out Pokémon. Also, Serena sometimes would warn Ash about taking risks, or ask him to be very careful in an "I'm very worried about you" manner.

Serena and Ash had only one fight but it was not entirely an argument as she was only trying to help him snap out of his depression, after he lost his first attempt to get his last badge. After their fight and during the search for him in a snowstorm, Serena temporally had doubts about Ash but she felt guilty even more as she believed that she made the scene worse by yelling back at him and that he was out in the blizzard was because of their argument. When the snowstorm was over and her friend returned, Serena attempted to apologize to Ash for lashing back at him but he stopped her as he not only gave her an apology for being so hard on her but also thanked her for helping him. Seeing how really sorry Ash was about their fight and hearing his thanks, Serena was able shake her doubts for her friend off and forgives him. However, Serena did not shake all her doubts for Ash off as she had some left in her but she still believed in him no matter what, shown throughout her friends rematch for his last badge. Serena put an end to her doubts for her friend once and for all, after Ash won his last badge.

Serena supports Ash all the way and looks up to him, which shows that she been influenced by him. Before leaving for her next adventure, Serena thanked and told Ash how glad she was that she came along with him as she tells him that he was the kind of person she wants to be. Also, Serena declares to Ash that she will be an even more amazing lady for him when they meet again. However, Serena gave Ash a kiss, which admitted her crush on him and thanked him for his efforts for her, before departing on her new journey to Hoenn. Despite being apart, Serena knows that she will see Ash again and their friendship will remain close till the end.

At one point, during the Judas Contract conflict right before Terra's betrayal, Ash gave Serena sage advice on how to handle drastic situations without violence. He told her to stay true to who she is, not fight fire with fire, remain calm and brave, and find her inner peace. And with that, she took Ash's advice and used it to successfully pacify the angry Teen Titans who were ready to attack her corrupted friend, Terra, once more and peacefully freed her from Slade's grasp all by herself through the magic of friendship and the power of forgiveness. After Terra's death, Ash expressed how proud he was of her for using his sage advice as the key to stopping Slade's crime spree, freeing Terra from his wicked grasp, saving the Teen Titans, and saving the day all at the same time.

Bonnie:

Serena views Bonnie like a little sister due to both being girls. They are best friends and act like girls together. Serena sometimes stops Bonnie from asking girls to take care of Clemont when he is not around showing she can get annoyed with that habit. Serena would always try to protect her from danger and would comfort her when needed. Bonnie knows that Serena has a crush on their friend Ash. They part ways when she decided to continue traveling while the latter stay in Kalos. However, Serena will always consider Bonnie the little sister she never had and best friend.

Clemont:

Serena does view Clemont as a good friend to be around and respects his knowledge about Pokémon, due to being a Gym Leader. She can get annoyed whenever his invention fails and when they blow up but is sometimes happy when his inventions work. She would help him set up the table when they are having breaks or having a meal. She would help him cook sometimes as well. They both have a common admiration for Ash. Serena and Clemont part ways when she left to continue make her dream a reality while he stays to continue running his Gym. Although they are apart, Serena and Clemont know their friendship will remain.

Mairin:

Serena and Mairin were able to hit it off right away when they first meet as they formed a close friendship. Like she is for Bonnie, Serena would always try to keep Mairin safe from danger. Also, Serena would help Mairin out as she instantly decided to go help her get her partner Pokémon, Chespie, back from Lysandre Labs. Serena and Mairin even wished each other good luck before they left for their new adventures.

Shauna:

They first met at Professor Sycamore's Summer Camp. Serena and Shauna are close friends as they would always try to help one another out. Shauna was one of Serena's main inspiration to become a Pokémon Performer, after hearing about them through her. Shauna is aware of Serena's crush on Ash, shown when she accused her of liking him.

Nini:

Serena and Nini are not only rivals because they are Pokémon Performers but they are also good friends. Instantly when they first meet, Serena helped Nini see what she needed to fix in her performances and she has also has done the same for her. Nini knows that Serena has a crush on Ash.

Aria:

Serena admires Aria and wants to become a fantastic Pokémon Performer just like her one day. However, Serena did not know it was Aria when they first meet as she was using an alias name to get away from her fans and they even spent the day together which formed their friendship. Serena did realize that it was Aria that she met and became friends with, after seeing her do a familiar pose on TV that she saw when they were having a double battle. Serena took Aria's words of using her smile to give others strengths and happiness to the heart. Despite already being friends, Serena and Aria formed a friendly rivalry after Aria has defended her title as Kalos Queen.

Chloe first meets Serena in Lilycove City when Eevee sensed Sylveon. Serena was able to relate to Chloe when she was telling her Sylveon's past as they became very good friends with one another. Also, Serena gave Chloe some wise advice and encouraged her to try in the Pokémon Contest Spectacular. In addition, Serena was surprised that Chloe was one of Ash's friends.

Teen Titans:

Serena formed a friendship with the Teen Titans. During their conflict with Terra, Serena showed them how to handle drastic situations in a much more peaceful approach rather than through merciless violence. She told them to just talk Terra down without attacking her rather than attempting to kill her. For she knew that killing Terra would only make the situation worse. She even showed them that it's better to forgive than bare an unhealthy resentment. For she knew that even though while they were fighting her in a blind rage and anger for her attempted murder and betrayal, she knew deep down they have the heart to forgive Terra. Before the Titans were going to attack Terra again after tracking her down to Slade's hideout, Serena decides to prove her point once and for all and takes the opportunity to talk to Terra herself. And while making her way towards her corrupted friend, she surprises them one-by-one with her pacifism skills by gently and calmly lowering their weapons and dissipating their powers. They were also amazed at how more relaxed Serena was in spite of the danger, for she was behaving more like an angel than a desperate hero. Impressed with her skills, they decide to trust Serena's judgment and allow her to speak with Terra alone without interfering. After Ash comforted Serena and cheered her up when she mourned for Terra's death, the Teen Titans felt very proud of Serena for her wisdom and courage. For it's what helped them save Terra, stop Slade's crime spree, and save the city all at the same time in a more peaceful way and they are truly grateful for it. And because of that, they now see in her that she has the heart and soul of a Teen Titan like Ash does. As they head out, Serena expressed her full appreciation to them looking out for her despite the danger she was getting into. In deep gratitude, they requested Ash to give Serena a Titans communicator as a thank you gift for what she did, which he humbly accepted. Since then, the Teen Titans remembered Serena as an Honorary Titan for her wisdom, courage, pacifism, mercifulness, and pure heartedness. At the end of the film, the Titans felt remorseful for the violent, merciless behavior they demonstrated in front of Serena and believed that they were as much to blame for her depression over Terra's death as Slade is. To atone for their behavior and to show Serena how much they still care and value Terra as a Teen Titan and a true friend, they decide to renovate Terra's former bedroom and built it into a beautiful memorial site so they can all remember and miss her together.

Robin (Dick Grayson):

When Robin first met Serena they hit it off as Ash introduced her to him and his friends. Serena was horrified when she learned that Slade tried to force Robin into turning against his teammates and make him become his apprentice but was relieved he came back to them. Before talking to Terra, Robin was the first to be pacified by her. He felt deeply amazed with her pacifism skills when she gently grabbed his arm while he was holding his ammunition discs up and ready to fire. She then calmly told him to back down and that everything will be fine between her and Terra. During Serena's confrontation with Terra, Robin and the rest of the team felt touched when she revealed to have sensed their feeling to forgive her, even while they mercilessly attacked her out of rage and anger. But while seeing her cry her heart out for Terra while talking to her, Robin and the rest of the team felt sympathetic towards her alone, realizing that Terra wasn't truly evil, but a poor, lost soul lured into the evil hands of Slade. After Ash comforted Serena and cheered her up when she mourned for Terra's death, Robin felt very proud of Serena for her wisdom and courage. For it's what helped him, and the team save Terra, stop Slade's crime spree, and save the city all together in a more peaceful way. For now, he sees in her that she has the heart and soul of a Teen Titan like Ash does. For it had become clear to Serena that Val-Yor hates Tameranians including Starfire. So, in an act of friendship, she, along with everyone else, stood up for Starfire and told Val-Yor to back off.

Beast Boy:

Serena felt amused by Beast Boy's sense of humor. Beast Boy is deeply amazed by Serena's beauty and appreciates her kindness. Before talking to Terra, Beast Boy was deeply amazed of Serena's pacifism skills when she gently lowered and dissipated his teammates' weapons/powers and calmly tells them not to attack. During Serena's confrontation with Terra, Beast Boy and the rest of the team felt touched when she revealed to have sensed their feeling to forgive her, even while they mercilessly attacked her out of rage and anger. But while seeing her cry her heart out for Terra while talking to her alone, Beast Boy and the rest of the team felt sympathetic towards her, realizing that Terra wasn't truly evil, but a poor, lost soul lured into the evil hands of Slade. After Ash comforted Serena and cheered her up when she mourned for Terra's death, Beast Boy cries tears of happiness and silently thanks her for not giving up on Terra. For now he sees in her that she has the heart and soul of a Teen Titan like Ash does. Near the end of the film, Beast Boy and his teammates felt remorseful for their violent, merciless behavior they demonstrated in front of Serena and were as much to blame for her depression over Terra's death as Slade is. Soon, Serena, along with Ash, becomes worried about Beast Boy when he was struggling to get Terra, who is revived from her petrification, to return to the team, but has no memory of everything she's gone through: her powers, having friends, and her experience with Slade. After the girl left Beast Boy one last time, both Ash and Serena went up to him, comforted him, and talked to him themselves like the good older brother and sister figure they are. They tell him that while they understand that growing up, letting go of the past, and change is hard and it will hurt, embracing the future and living a happy life with the people they love is something that'll never change.

Raven:

Despite Raven's sarcastic attitude, she really cares about Serena. Before talking to Terra, Raven was the fourth and last to be pacified by her. However, she felt uncertain at how she was going to respond with her if she attempted to interfere. It was most likely due to the fact that she never fully trusted Terra to begin with nor wanted to get to know her friend. But as she did with the other Titans, she stayed firmly calm and remained brave. Raven felt deeply amazed with her pacifism skills when she gently grabbed her one hand and lowered it down to dissipate her powers. She then calmly told her to back down and that everything will be fine between her and Terra. After a brief moment in looking at each other, Raven saw how calm Serena's being and had no intention of wanting to make an argument with her in helping Terra. With that, she backed down, much to everyone's relief. During Serena's confrontation with Terra, Raven and the rest of the team felt touched when she revealed to have sensed their feeling to forgive her, even while they mercilessly attacked her out of rage and anger. But while seeing her cry her heart out for Terra while talking to her alone, Raven and the rest of the team felt sympathetic towards her, realizing that Terra wasn't truly evil, but a poor, lost soul lured into the evil hands of Slade. This causes her to become remorseful for calling Terra a liar and an evil spy trained by Slade and sent to destroy them and hoped she would do anything to make it up to Serena for thinking badly of her friend as well as misjudging her. Raven even apologized to Serena for doubting her friendship with Terra and admitted she was wrong about her being evil, which she humbly accepted her apology and understood that she was only looking out for her. After Ash comforted Serena and cheered her up when she mourned for Terra's death, Raven felt very proud of Serena for not just her wisdom and courage, but for showing her that Terra can still be a wonderful, trustworthy friend to the team and to her. For now, she sees in her that she has the heart and soul of a Teen Titan like Ash does. Near the end of the film, Raven and her teammates felt remorseful for their violent, merciless behavior they demonstrated in front of Serena and were as much to blame for her depression over Terra's death as Slade is. Of course, she never wanted to admit it at first due to her lack of trust towards Terra. But she was reminded by Ash about the moment Serena was in tears and how sad she felt during her final confrontation with her. Seeing that he does have a point, Raven finally admitted that her violent, merciless behavior did in fact hurt Serena to the core. To atone for their behavior and to show Serena how much they still care and value Terra as a Teen Titan and a true friend, they decide to renovate Terra's former bedroom and built it into a beautiful memorial site so they can all remember and miss her together.

One year later, Serena, along with Ash, Tino, Sunset, and the Titans attempt to throw Raven a party on her birthday. But when she refused to celebrate, she unintentionally hurts Ash while lashing out at everyone and destroying the party. Later, that same night, Serena tends Ash's wound. Though she was shaken at what she did, she knew Raven didn't mean to hurt her friend and that it was only an accident, indicating that she'd already forgiven her. Weeks after the party, Serena learned about Raven's dark destiny of becoming the portal that would allow her evil, demon father, Trigon, to enter Earth and destroy it. She then becomes worried about her safety and wants to protect her at any cost. When the dreadful day of the horrifying prophecy arrived, Serena becomes more frightened when she witnessed Raven fainting from the burnt markings Slade engraved on her skin from the night of her birthday. In a desperate attempt to help her friend and out of extreme loyalty since the conflict with Terra, Serena took out a fan and helps her friends revive her. Once Raven is safely brought into a saferoom where she is being watched by everyone, Serena becomes even more scared with the predicament Raven is in. Fearing the worst for her friend, she asks Ash what will happen to Raven if she becomes the portal. Ash answers her that he doesn't know what will happen to her. Serena then starts crying and says that she already dealt with losing Terra at the hands of Slade, but she doesn't want to lose Raven too. Not to a devastating prophecy that would lead to human extinction and world destruction. But Ash comforts her and remind her that they're not gonna let Trigon take Raven away from them. For he, Tino, Sunset, their team, and the Titans will do all that they can to defend her from the inter-dimensional demon and Slade at any cost. However, their efforts were no avail as Raven surrendered herself to the prophecy and became the portal, which allowed her wicked demon of a father to enter Earth and destroy it. Luckily, Serena and her friends barely managed to survive Trigon's assault on the planet, thanks to Raven's powers shielding them from the blast. But Serena becomes broken up inside once again, believing that she had lost another close friend at the hands of a black-hearted villain. But when Slade reveals that Raven isn't truly gone, her broken heart was mended, though she was reluctant to trust Slade due to what he did to Terra. Serena was then entrusted by Ash to stall Trigon for the time being so he along with Robin, Tino, Shido and Sunset can go down, rescue Raven and bring her back. To which she honorably succeeded in with everyone else's help. Once everyone returned with Raven, Serena was shocked and surprised to see that she was regressed into a small five-year old child. But none the less, Serena still fought for Raven with everything she got. During the final battle against Trigon, Raven was deeply touched that Serena and everyone she cared about were willing to sacrifice themselves for her. When Trigon gloated at his daughter, Serena was one of the few people to encourage Raven that Trigon was never a loving, caring father nor a loving husband to her mother to begin with. She, along with everyone else, give her the courage to fight back and show Trigon who's weak and who's strong. With that, Raven was able to regain her powers and defeat her so-called father once and for all, restoring everything to normal.

Terra:

Serena first met Terra when she was being chased by a giant scorpion monster. When she and the Titans tried to rescue her, she was surprised to discover that she has the ability to use earth-bending powers. Serena later befriends Terra and then they soon became friends. She felt sympathetic towards her because of her insecurities in lacking control of her powers and wished to help her out like the good friend that she is. When Terra became one of the Teen Titans, Serena was overjoyed, along with Beast Boy. However, when Terra betrayed the Titans and joined Slade to become his apprentice, Serena was deeply saddened with her betrayal. After helping Ash, Tino and the gang save the Teen Titans from their deaths by Terra through Slade's command, Serena still didn't believe that Terra was evil and there was still good in her. She soon watched in horror as her friends brutally attacked her dearest friend in cold blood without any signs of decency and mercy. When Tino, Ash, and the gang started to think about killing her while following the Titans, Serena snapped them out of their rage and convinced them to handle Terra on a more peaceful approach instead of mercilessly killing her. She even told them that it is better to forgive her than resent her. For she knew that deep down inside, they have the heart to forgive Terra for her betrayal and attempted murder on the Titans, especially when they were blinded by rage and anger. Though reluctant at first, they decide to go with her suggestion and follow the Teen Titans to Slade's lair where they're about to attack her once more. But before they do so, Serena took it upon herself to prove her point to everyone by taking Ash's previous advice of staying true to who she is. With that, she calmly and bravely found her inner peace and successfully pacifies four of the angry Titans with no difficulty (though she was unsure of how Raven was going to react due to her distrust towards Terra from the start). She then took it upon herself to speak with Terra alone without using her Pokémon nor wielding any gadget, weapon or superpower. She successfully managed to peacefully patch things through with her and convinced her to rejoin the side of good by fighting Slade. During the battle, she sees Terra was about to get killed by Slade. In a desperate attempt to help her friend, she quickly grabbed one of Robin's ammunition discs from his belt and threw it at Slade, giving her the chance to finish him once and for all. After she sent the one-eyed psychopath to his fiery doom in the lava pit, Serena wanted Terra to come with them because she appreciated Terra for preventing Serena from splashing to her fiery death inside the magma chamber. But she chose to stay behind so she can stop the volcano from destroying the city. Before doing so, Terra bid Beast Boy and Serena a tearful farewell and thanking them for being the only real friends she's ever had in her life. With full control of her powers and in a final act of friendship, Terra bravely sacrificed her life to stop the volcanic eruption from happening, turning herself to stone in the process. After Terra's death, Serena broke down in tears and cried for the loss of her dearest friend. But she is comforted by Ash, who reminded her that it was her courage and wisdom that helped stop Slade's crime spree, save Terra, and save the city. He even told her that she may be a performer on the outside, she has the heart and soul of a Teen Titan on the inside, and it has made him, the Titans, Tino and everyone else very proud of her.

Goofy Goof:

Serena had a nice start with Goofy upon meeting him. When Serena gets kidnapped, Goofy becomes worried about the girl's safety and goes to alert Max and his friends. After a failed attempt to warn Max, he was almost about to give up. Before he left, he gives Ash and Pooh Bear the footage of Serena's abduction, asking them to show it to Max when they have the chance, which they did. When Pooh, Ash, and the gang manage to show the footage to Max, he convinces Goofy to join the team to help them rescue Serena and win the race, which he happily accepts. Goofy and the gang succeeds in rescuing Serena and joins Max in winning the race. In the aftermath, Serena thanks Goofy and Max for saving both her life and Ash's life.

Max Goof:

When Max first met Serena, they both hit it off with a really nice start. However, things turned for the worst when Max was manipulated into letting her and his father, Goofy, astray to the Gammas by villainous monster, Bowser. Things got more worse when she was tricked by Bradley into severing Max's relationship with his father, Goofy, by sabotaging the qualifying rounds of the X-Games as part of Bowser's plans. A couple of weeks later, Serena ends up getting herself kidnapped by the despicable fraternity leader and the team when she attempted to leave and return to Ash. During her kidnapping, she learned about Bradley's deception and warns the fraternity that Max, along with most of her friends, will do whatever it takes to save her. Luckily, Goofy took a camera and films the abduction. However, Goofy was unaware that Bowser is the ringleader of her kidnapping and the severing of his father-son relationship with Max. Goofy attempted to tell Max about the Gammas' cheating and Serena's plight, but due to his outburst weeks ago, he refused to believe his father. Goofy somberly gave Pooh Bear, Ash and the gang the videotape to show Serena's plight so they can have a chance to show Max as well. Once Bradley's true nature was revealed, Pooh Bear, Ash and the gang seized the opportunity to expose his wicked plan to Max. But when they tried to show the footage to him, they were suddenly confronted by Bowser. He revealed to his enemies what he did behind their backs and taunted Max for his delusions about college life while cruelly laughing in his face. He even revealed to Max that everything he did was all Bowser's idea, not his, for he turned his father away for absolutely nothing. Max, though outraged with Bradley's dirty tactics, becomes devasted with the blunders he inadvertently caused, and it made him fall to his knees in despair. With that, he slams his fist on the ramp in frustration and anger as the gang watch in sympathy that their friend had been used by Bowser for his evil plans. Before departing, Bowser gave the gang a choice: surrender themselves to him so he can conquer the world or Serena will die. After Bowser disappeared, our heroes refused to surrender to Bowser. So, they decided that the best option is to go to the fraternity house and get Serena out. They successfully managed to snap Max out of his despair, revealed the footage his father took of Serena's abduction, and convince him to fight back so he can atone for his misdeeds. But the first thing he needs to do is to find his dad and apologize for the way he treated him lately. Max quickly uses jumbotron to convince his dad to help rescue Serena, defeat Bowser, and win the race, which he happily accepts. After Daffy quickly repaired the damages to the X-Games, Max orders Ttrak, Bugs, and Daffy stall the broadcasters, referee, and the audience as long as they could so that he and the group could retrieve Serena. They quickly hop into Bobby's van and drive over to the Gamma fraternity house to search for her. After 15 minutes of searching, Max and the gang were able to find Serena and rescue her before heading back to the race. Upon arriving there, Serena apologizes to Max for what Bradley made her do. But he assured her that none of it was her fault and that she was trying to strengthen his relationship with his dad. He hugs her and thanks her for being a great friend while the latter thanks him for saving her. She then watches Max and Goofy compete in the X-Games. But later on in the race, Max prevents Serena from going back to save Ash from a deadly accident just so he could keep her safe. During the battle between our heroes and Bowser, Serena attempts to help him defeat the evil monster, but is knocked off. Thankfully, this helped Max give him the opportunity to defeat Bowser and send him packing. Later after the battle, Max comforts Serena upon seeing an injured Ash who is in critical condition at the hospital. Since then, Max became an older brother figure to Serena and has grown quite protective towards her whenever he helps Ash defend her from mean bullies or evil villains.

Sylvia Marpole:

Serena met Sylvia at the X-Games when Bugs and Daffy told her about Bradley and the Gammas kidnapping her and nearly threatening to hurt her prior to the main event. She even expressed concern for her if she was okay, which the latter responded that she's safe thanks to Goofy, his son, Max, and her friends' daring rescue of her.

P.J.

P.J. and Serena made it off really well when they met. During the climax, P.J., along with Bobby, Max, and Goofy, helped Pooh Bear, Ash and the gang rescue her from Bradley when he abducted her, despite having been knocked out of the race.

After seeing Goofy run off to get help from Max and the group when Serena got abducted by Bradley and his boss, Bowser, she grows worried about her. With that, she joins forces with our heroes and helps in the daring rescue of their friend.

Serena met Pluto when he acted out as a K9-unit search and rescue dog to Goofy, Max, and friends who came to save her from Bowser's clutches.

Delphox:

Delphox is one of Serena's Pokémon partners and her ace battler who she is very close with as she was her first Pokémon and she had her since she was a Fennekin. Serena would always try to protect Delphox and she would do the same for her. They share the same interest as they enjoy shopping, looking good, dressing up, making sweets and like eating them. After realizing that she should continue traveling, Serena had Delphox resume with her till the end.

Pancham:

Serena first meet Pancham when he interrupted a Pokémon Showcase they were watching and did not understand his reasons. However, Serena realized that Pancham crashed the show because he likes to perform and she decided to let him join her team of partner Pokémon. Serena cares a lot about Pancham and even described him as sweet despite his playful nature. Decided to continue traveling and grow on her own, Serena decided to have Pancham stay by her side.

Sylveon:

Serena has known Sylveon ever since she was an Eevee and she is also one of her partners. When Serena first met Sylveon while she was an Eevee, she was impressed with her dance skills but Sylveon, as an Eevee, was very shy around her and others. Serena was able to gain Sylveon's trust and offer her a spot on her team in hopes of showing off her amazing dance skills which she accepted. Through their time together, Serena and Sylveon became very close with each other. Serena had Sylveon accompany her in her goal to become a Pokémon Performer by resuming to traveling at other places.

Serena and Miette didn't get off to a great start when they first met as they instantly became rivals. However, they were able to become good friends, after they lost the Poké Puff contest they entered together. Although, Serena and Miette still have their rivalry because they are both Pokémon Performers and they both compete for Ash's affection, due to Miette also having a crush on Ash. Also, Serena would sometimes freak out and blush a little bit whenever Miette appears or when she brings up her crush on Ash or when she interacts with him. Sometimes, she can drag Miette away from Ash or shout Miette's name in a high‐pitched voice.

Upon meeting the Titans for the first time, Ash told Serena about their wicked enemy, Slade, and to always stay away from him at all costs. After Ash told Serena how Slade nearly corrupted Robin into betraying his teammates and forced him into becoming his apprentice, she was horrified. But when she learned about how Robin was successfully convinced to return, she was relieved but also very sad. For she didn't understand why Slade's so obsessed in destroying the Teen Titans and why he would corrupt a brave hero like Robin into committing crimes in his name. Ash admitted that he doesn't get it either, but then again, Slade is something that can't be changed: another dangerous criminal betting on chaos and devastation. Because of that, Serena feared that Slade might have targeted Terra into becoming his apprentice. Her worst fear came to realize when Slade successfully corrupts the young blonde and nearly kills the Teen Titans through her. However, much to his chagrin, Serena and her friends saved them from their deaths. When Terra fled into his hideout after the Teen Titans mercilessly attacked her out of rage and anger, Slade brutally begins beating her up and starts to take control of her through the suit that's linked to her skin. In the end, it was Serena's powerful, sisterly friendship towards Terra that freed her from Slade's grasp. During Terra's battle against Slade, he was going to finish her in an act of revenge for betraying him. But Serena interfered when she snatched one of Robin's ammunition discs from his belt and threw it at the one-eyed psycho, giving her friend the chance to send him tumbling to his fiery doom in the lava pit below. Since then, Serena assumed that Slade was gone for good, and that Terra is at peace. However, despite him being presumed dead, Slade's evil influence on Terra haunted Serena so much that it gave her horrible nightmares. When Trigon revived him, her intense grudge towards him resurfaced because it reminded her of what he did to her deceased friend. And since he was targeting Raven, she swore not to let him cause any harm to her like he did to Terra. It has become clear that Serena became very distrustful towards Slade due to his inhumane actions towards those close to her. Especially when he offered his help after Trigon destroyed the Earth following the demon's betrayal on him. During her latest confrontation, she revealed to him that she can only trust people who have good hearts, but for Slade, his heart is blackened from the innocent people he's hurt. After he helped Ash rescue Raven from Trigon's prison and participated in the final battle against the impure-hearted monster, Serena still hadn't forgiven Slade for the pain he's caused for her friends after he resumes trying to kill them.

Blackfire:

Although she never met Blackfire personally, Serena heard stories about the evil things Blackfire did to Tamaran and to Starfire. After hearing of her banishment, Serena assumed that she might have been spoiled too much while on her home planet. She even assumed that Blackfire could learn a few things about manners during her banishment, which made the other Titans laugh in agreement.

At first, Serena thought Bradley was a really nice guy when he invited her to dinner. However, during her conversation with him, she was unaware of his deceitfulness when he bribed her and tricked her into installing a rocket boaster in Goofy's skateboard before the quarter finals of the X-Games. Soon, when Bradley reaches the breaking point, Serena gets kidnapped by him and is taken hostage in an attempt to bribe Max into forfeiting the games or else she'll get hurt. During her kidnapping, Serena becomes angry at him when she discovered his deception. Serena is also angered when Bradley insulted her childhood friend Ash. Thankfully, Pooh Bear, Ash and the gang managed to expose Bradley's true nature to Max and convince him to reconsider his disownment towards his father, which he remorsefully does since it was his fault for being selfish and for putting Serena's life on the line. With Goofy back on the heroes' side, Max and the whole gang refused to forfeit and managed to rescue her before Bradley could do any harm to her after the race. After being rescued, Serena explained to the gang that Bradley used her and apologized for hurting everyone. But they told her not to worry about it and they knew it wasn't her fault for being exploited by a cowardly cheater. They promised her that they'll make Bradley pay for his misdeeds once the race is finished. In the end, before driving Ash to the hospital, Serena gave Bradley a sweet taste of revenge for the trouble he caused as she ordered Tank to hold him down and delivered a devastating punch to the face. In the aftermath, Bradley was expelled for cheating and arrested for committing crimes of kidnapping, child abuse, vandalism, sabotage, and attempted murder.
