Slash Beast, known in Japan as Slash Beastleo (スラッシュ・ビストレオ), is a lion-based Reploid and one of the Maverick bosses in Mega Man X4.
History[]
Slash Beast joined the Repliforce military solely to satisfy his desires to carve enemies to pieces, and he garnered a reputation on the battlefield for never showing fear and challenging enemies that were even twice his size. Beast rose to become the captain of Repliforce's Reploid Army. When the Repliforce began their coup d'etat, he supported it by running guard duty on military supply trains carrying weapons and ammunition to Repliforce units.
The Hunters engaged his Military Train and destroyed numerous carriages within it, before engaging Beast in battle. The fearless soldier gave the Hunters an epic battle but not even he was able to overcome their power and he was thus destroyed, dying an honorable death on the battlefield.
Characteristics[]
Slash Beast is a tall Reploid with the head and claws of a lion. His armor is a sandy brown, and he has the Repliforce insignia on his shoulder.
Slash Beast shows dauntless courage in battle, fearing no one and loving the tension of a good fight. He appears to care little for status, loyalty, or morality, having joined Repliforce just so he could fight. In the manga, he is especially ruthless and his brave facade fails when he begs for his life in front of X.
