Talon and Maggie are the parents of Leo the lion and friends of the Benny, Leo and Johnny's Adventures of team, the Alex's Adventures of team and the Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa's Adventures of team.
Talon, also known as Derek Maza, is a former helicopter pilot and police officer like his father and older sister, Elisa Maza. Derek left the police force and took a job with multimillionaire David Xanatos, with the extra help of Bowser Koopa and scientist Dr. Anton Sevarius, that ultimately cost him his humanity. Now under the name of Talon, he is the leader of the Labyrinth Clan that thrives within an abandoned research facility, which now serves as a home to the homeless under the streets of Manhattan.
Maggie came to New York from Ohio with a dream to be a star and about $2200 in cash. However, she spent all her money sooner than she expected on an apartment that was far from cheap, and wound up on the streets with other homeless people. Desperate for money and work, Maggie accepted a job offer from Dr. Servarius, but she learned of his true intentions too late. Maggie and the other mutates followed Talon to the underground lab to confront Servarius. Unlike Talon and Fang, Maggie was desperate to take Servarius' cure -- which in reality was poison. Talon talked her out of it, and in the process reveals his feels for her.
Some time later, Talon and Maggie found an orphaned lion cub named Leo Lionheart by the Labyrinth entrance. They took him in and raised him as their own. Under the guidance and care of Talon and Maggie, Leo grew into a handsome, intelligent and kind-hearted lion.
Their origin shall be told in Pooh's Adventures of Gargoyles alongside those of Fang and Claw.
