Everything is empty, thanks to the Puzzler – 3 helps 5, Sploshy, and Terence to fill things up again, but not without 3 and Sploshy getting caught by the Puzzler.
Script:[]
[Scene: Cosy Room. 5 is looking around when 6 comes in via the elevator]
5: Have you seen my Buddy Blocks, 6? I can't find them anywhere!
6: That's funny; I've lost mine as well!
[the Rubbadubbers enter]
Tubb: What's going on?
3: I can't find my Buddy Blocks!
5 & 6: [together] Neither can we!
6: Where can they be?
[3 hops down.]
5: Maybe they've been grabbed by the Shape Japer.
3: Oh no!
5: Only joking.
6: But they might've gone off somewhere on their own.
3: Oh no! I want my Buddy Blocks!
Sploshy: Don't worry, 3. I'm sure we'll find them.
[4 enters the Cosy Room]
4: Don't worry! I know where they are.
5: Where?
4: Well, Buddy Blocks can make a bit of a mess, so I've tidied them away. [pushes a lid off of a nearby box, showing his, 3's, 5's and 6's Buddy Blocks in it] Here they are. Mine as well. See how tidy they are? And they've filled this box right up to the top.
Terence: Now that's really neat and organized, 4.
Sploshy: I think it looks very colourful.
Tubb: You're right, Sploshy. I think it's very nice, isn't it, Numberjacks?
[But 3, 5, & 6 however, are far from pleased]
6: You took our Buddy Blocks?
5: And tidied them away?
3: Without asking?
4: I.... I thought you'd be pleased. They look very cosy.
3: They might not want to be cosy!
6: Come on, my Buddy Blocks.
4: Oh!
5: And mine.
3: And mine. Come on.
[all of 3's, 5's and 6's Buddy Blocks get out the box]
4: They're all getting out. Oh...
6: You shouldn't have done that, 4.
4: I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to upset them. My Buddy Blocks love being in their box, look.
[only 4's Buddy Blocks are left in the box]
4: What a shame. This box was full before, and now it's nearly empty.
6: Never mind. your Buddy Blocks should have plenty of room now.
5: And we've got our Buddy Blocks back, so everything's fine.
[THE ALARM SOUNDS]
6: Or maybe not!
3: Someone needs us!
Tubb: To the Control Room!
[The Numberjacks and heroes head off to the Control Room, and Meet Numberjack 2.]
2: Agent.
6: Thanks 2. We'll take over.
[2 moans and hops off sadly. Agent 25 calls in]
5: It's Agent 25!
Agent 25: Something's going wrong!
3: But not for long!
6: We'd better take a look!
4: Hold on, I'm putting it on screen.
[AGENT 61 CALLS IN]
Agent 61: Agent 61 here. I just saw the Puzzler!
Tubb: [gasps] The Puzzler!
4: Oh no!
6: So that's why strange things are happening today!
4: The Puzzler's playing tricks! Data On screen now!
[Puzzler's Song]
Let me tell you what I'm talking about....
The Puzzler, The Puzzler, he's got a twisted mind
His bubbles mean trouble if you get trapped inside
You'd better start thinking if the Puzzler has got you
Cause if you can't sort the Puzzler out, the Puzzler will sort you
Oh yeah
6: 5, 3, Sploshy, Terence, can you hear us?
5: Loud & Clear.
6: The Puzzler's out and about!
3: Hah! He doesn't scare me!
6: You must be careful, 3.
4: Yeah, otherwise you might get trapped in a Puzzle Bubble!
5: Don't worry, I'll take care of 3.
3: I can take care of myself!
[AGENT 96 CALLS IN]
Agent 96: It's Agent 96 here. You've got to hurry; things are wrong in the cafe!
5: OK, on our way now.
[She and Terence notice 3 and Sploshy aren't there.]
5: 3? Sploshy? Where are you?
6: Where are they?
5: I don't know!
4: 3's gone off on her own, hasn't she?
Reg: And Sploshy's gone off in pursu-pursu-pursu- to follow her!
5: Oh, no!
Terence: What are we gonna do, 5?
5: We must catch up with them, before the Puzzler does!
[5 & Terence head off. At the cafe, a woman is served soup. As she turns to get her bread, the soup bowl mysteriously empties.]
6: The Puzzler's up to his tricks alright!
4: Why's he making all of those things empty?
6: I don't know. I bet it's one of his mean puzzles.
4: Any sign of 3 and Sploshy yet, 5?
5: No. I hope 3 doesn't do anything silly.
Terence: I hope we find Sploshy soon, as well.
Thomas: Yes, and we need to stop the Puzzler!
5: You're right, Thomas. If he carries on emptying things, anything could happen!
[2D Animation of a boy with a juice carton]
5: [voiceover] Drink cartons won't be much fun - there'll be no drink inside.
[The boy sucks his juice carton but there's no drink inside. A boy in a wheelchair comes in, with 3 balloons.]
5: [voiceover] And balloons won't be much fun, if there's no air inside them.
[The balloons go down, making the boy in his wheelchair sad. 3 children swim about in a swimming pool]
5: [voiceover] And going to the swimming pool will be no fun at all, cause there'll be no water to play in.
[The kids stand in the empty pool, looking sad. Fade back to reality, where 5 and Terence are heading along by the river]
5: Got to stop that Puzzler.
[They come up to a bench]
5: 3, where are you?
Terence: Sploshy! Where are you?
[They hop up onto the bench]
Terence: I'm sure we can find her from the top of this bench.
[Suddenly, THE PUZZLER APPEARS]
5: Puzzler!
Puzzler:
I've found them, 5. You should've known
Not to let 3 go off alone.
5: She and Sploshy can look after themselves.
Puzzler:
Well, let's keep them out of trouble.
Let's keep them safe, inside my bubble.
[an orange bubble floats into view]
3: [inside bubble] Let us out, you meanie!
Sploshy: [inside bubble] We don't like it in here!
Terence: [gasps] Oh, no!
5: Don't worry, 3 and Sploshy; we'll soon have you two out of there.
4: Oh no! That Puzzler!
Puzzler:
There were 4 things that once were full;
Bottle, tub, sandpit, bowl,
Some held more and some held less,
Put them in order, that's your test.
Terence: Did you hear that, everyone back at base? We need to put the 4 things the Puzzler has emptied in order.
6: Wow! That's tricky!
6: Everything filled up so quickly, we couldn't tell which holds the most.
4: Or which holds the least.
5: So we can't put them in order and solve the puzzle.
[the Puzzler floats in with his bubble]
Puzzler:
While my problem gives you trouble,
3 & Sploshy stay trapped inside my bubble!
3: [inside bubble] Help!
Sploshy: [inside bubble] Help!
Puzzler:
But I feel kind today, and so,
I'll give you all just one more go.
[he empties everything from the 4 containers]
6: We've only got one more chance to rescue Sploshy and 3!
4: How can we work it out?
[AGENT 100 CALLS IN]
Agent 100: Fill them up bit by bit. See how many bits you need.
6: Right. The more jumps of Brain Gain I have to do, the more the thing holds.
4: I'll keep count of the jumps.
6: OK, 5 and Terence, start with the bottle.
5: Fire away!
[6 jumps]
4: 1.
[5 fired the Brain Gain into the bottle, filling it halfway, and then a second burst fills it completely]
4: 2; that's full. The bottle took 2 jumps of Brain Gain to fill.
5: The ice cream tub next.
[the tub is filled up, 1 quarter at a time]
4: 1, 2, 3, 4. Full! Took 4.
6: Ready for the bowl.
[The woman's soup bowl is full up in 1 jump]
4: 1; that's full.
Thomas: Now, for the sandpit.
[the sand is put in, one pile at a time]
4: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...
Terence: [panting] This is... a really... big... thing... to fill!
5: You're right, Terence. It's going to take loads.
[Montage: 4 counting the jumps, 6 jumping in the Brain Gain machine, and the girl watches as more and more sand fills up the sandpit]
4: ...19, 20, 21...39, 40...55, 56...75, 76, 77, 78, 79...99, 100! Full!
5; Well done!
[6 groans as he dizzily hops outta the Brain Gain Machine. The 4 things are on the main screen, each with their corresponding numbers of jumps it took to fill]
Tubb: Now, let's put these things in order.
4: Well, the sandpit definitely took the most jumps - 100! So that's the biggest.
5: The ice cream tub took 4 jumps. So that's next.
Thomas: Yes. The bottle took 2 jumps.
6: [Panting] And the bowl took just 1 jump, so that's the smallest.
Thomas: So the order from smallest to biggest is: first, the bowl, that's the smallest, then the bottle, then the ice cream tub, and finally, the sandpit.
6: Definitely the biggest!
Puzzler:
Puzzle's solved, you win and so,
Sploshy and 3 are free, and off I go!
But I'll be back!
[The Puzzler and his bubble both burst, releasing 3 and Sploshy]
[3 & 5 Dematerialize, and Sploshy & Terence jump through the portal]
Numberjacks & Heroes: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5!
[3 & 5 Reenter the sofa. and meet the others]
3: It's good to be back.
6: You and Sploshy should've stayed close to 5.
5: Never mind. We sorted that Puzzler, didn't we?
4:
[RECAP]
4: The bottle was full, then empty.
[recap ends. cut to Cosy Room]
Tubb: Yes, I agree. It's much better than the other one.
4: Yes, and, they fill it right to the top. [To the viewers] What's the smallest thing that gets filled up in your home? And what's the biggest? Find out, and call the Numberjacks.
