Narrator: "Engine of the Future" One day, [Something zoomed by and over the bridge] something very strange came hurrying over the Vicarstown bridge and onto the Island of Sodor.

[Then it came zooming through Crovan's Gate. Passed a very surprised Duncan, Sir Handel and Norman]

Duncan: Was that an engine?

Sir Handel: I don't know. Maybe some kind of plane without wings.

[The scene changes to Gordon travelling in the countryside where he was passed by Caitlin]

Gordon: Uh?

Caitlin: (Whistles) [Then the very strange thing zooms passed her] Oh!

[Then it speeds by Maron station]

Sir Topham Hatt: (Stammers) Oh! What was that?! Ah! Where's my hat?

[The scene shows a cow wearing Sir Topham Hatt's hat]

Cow: Moo.

[Then, the scene shows the strange thing arrived at Ulfstead Castle where the Earl, Ryder, Marshall, Rubble, Chase, Rocky, Zuma, Skye, Stephen and Millie were there]

Sir Robert Norramby: Oh.

PAW Patrol: Whoa!

[And the strange thing turns to be an airplane look-alike engine]

Sir Robert Norramby: Great Scott! Hello, there. And who may I ask are you?

Rail-Zepplin: Hello, sir. My name is Hugo. I'm a Rail-Zepplin.

Ryder: Hello, Hugo. I'm Ryder.

Marshall: I'm Marshall.

Rubble: I'm Rubble.

Chase: I'm Chase.

Rocky: I'm Rocky.

Zuma: I'm Zuma.

Skye: And I'm Skye.

Hugo: I've heard about you. You're all the PAW Patrol, aren't you?

Marshall: Yup.

Chase: That's us!

Skye: So, what brings you to Sodor, Hugo?

Hugo: Well, Skye, my driver has been thinking you would all like to see me.

[And Hugo's door opened and out came...]

Sir Robert Norramby: Franz! Oh, hello! What a surprise!

Franz: Hello, Sir Robert. I thought you would enjoy meeting Hugo. I know how much you like interesting engines.

Rubble: So, Hugo what's so interesting about you?

Hugo: I'm powered by diesel. But my engine drives the propeller at the back.

Sir Robert Norramby: Well, he certainly is impressive to look at Franz. But I can't really form a proper opinion until Hugo takes me and my friends out for a spin.

Franz: Not a problem, Sir Robert. Climb aboard, pups! [and so, they did. Followed by Ryder, the earl and Franz] Welcome aboard!

[Once the door closed Hugo took them for a ride. The scene changes to Knapford Station]

Narrator: Word of the new arrival travelled quickly across the island.

The Copycat: I heard he's powered by diesel, but he doesn't look like an engine at all.

Diesel 10: I know. He even has a propeller.

Diesel: Is he still up at the castle?

Paxton: A castle?

[Then Thomas whistles as he arrived]

Sir Topham Hatt: Ah, Thomas. Will you please take me up to Ulfstead Castle? There's still plenty of time before you're next schedule service.

Thomas: Yes, sir. Of course.

[Sir Topham Hatt climbs aboard]

Sir Topham Hatt: Apparently, there's an extraordinary new engine up there. Ho-ho. You never know when a new will come along that could improve the railway.

[And Thomas whistles as he sets off leaving the villains astonished]

The Copycat: Improve the railway?! I wanted to improve the railway! [then he flew into Pinchy] Come on, boys. I want to see this for myself.

Diesel 10: (snickers as he follows Thomas)

Diesel: (chuckles as he follows Diesel 10)

Paxton: (sighs) I don't know about this.

[but he manages to follow his leaders. The scene changes back to Ulfstead Castle]

Sir Topham Hatt: Oh! My word.

Sir Robert Norramby: You're going to love this Sir Topham! Hugo is incredible!

[He, Sir Topham Hatt and Franz climbed aboard and Hugo honks and activates his propeller again]

Thomas: Wow! (Stephen chuckles) He's amazing!

Stephen: Oh, Thomas. That Hugo is the Engine of the Future!

[and Hugo leaves the castle as James, Percy and Philip arrived]

James: Wow! What a splendid engine!

Percy: (gasps) Was that him?

Philip: Huh? Was who him? I- I think I've missed it. No! I've missed it!

[Meanwhile, the Copycat, Diesel 10, Diesel and Paxton were also climbing to the top when Hugo sped pass them]

The Copycat: Wow! So wonderful!

Diesel 10: So magnificent!

Diesel: So revolutionary!

Paxton: So- So... Yeah, I got nothing.

[Hugo speeds across the Sodor Suspention Bridge as a leaf changes the scene back to the castle]

Thomas: Do you think he's come to improve the railway, Stephen?

Stephen: Ho-ho-ho-ho-ho. Yes. Engines like Hugo will be taking over everything! I've seen it before. Horses used to pull cars and coaches. And then along came steam engines and steam was king. Until the diesels arrived.

Diesel 10: Oh, look. Mr. Wood Boy's finally put attention on us.

Diesel: Mr. Wood Boy?

The Copycat, Diesel 10 and Diesel: (laugh except everyone else)

Paxton: (sighs) I'm sorry about them, you guys.

Skye: It's okay, Paxton.

Chase: At least, we can take their words.

Stephen: Indeed. [Just then, Hugo arrived] But now here's Hugo and everything is about to change, all over again.

Ryder: Seriously, guys. I think you're just being a little worried.

[Sir Topham Hatt, Sir Robert Norramby and Franz then stepped out of Hugo]

Sir Topoham Hatt: Oh my! Such a smooth ride. And so incredibly fast.

The Copycat: Hmm, come on, boys. I think Mr. Future maybe a perfect idea for my next invention.

[And so, they did. The scene changes to Tidmouth Sheds at night]

Narrator: That night at Tidmouth Sheds, everyone discussed the situation.

Marshall: And Hugo said he maybe powered by diesel. But his proper does the rest.

Thomas: And Stephen saids we'll all be replaced with engines like Hugo.

Chase: Guys, I believe he was trying to...

Emily: But I don't want be replaced. I love working on the railway.

Edward: So do, I. It's the only thing I know how to run on.

Gordon: Well, he won't be replacing me.

Skye: Will you all stop it? Hugo's not like that.

Gordon: Then how do you explain all the things Thomas said?
