Rubble: Hi, I'm Rubble.
Zuma: And I'm Zuma.
Rubble: Join us after the feature for one of our spooky adventures.
Zuma: Pups Save a Ghost.
Percy: And now our Feature Program.
Gator: Tale of the Brave.
[The film begins with a frog at a pond then Duck puffing out of Tidmouth Tunnel on his branch line]
Narrator: It was a bright, sunny day, and the island of Sodor was bustling with activity. The engines were carrying passengers and goods up and down every line on Sir Topham Hatt's railway, except Thomas' branch line, which was closed for repairs to a damaged bridge.
[The scene changes to Thomas and the PAW Patrol heading towards The China Clay Pits on Edward's Branch Line]
Thomas: (whistles)
Narrator: Instead of working on his branch line, Thomas and the PAW Patrol had been sent to the Sodor China Clay Pits to work with Bill and Ben and the Ruff-Ruff Pack.
[Thomas and the PAW Patrol puff into the clay pits and look around for the twins but they are nowhere to be seen]
Thomas: Hello! Is anybody here?
Chase: Where can those two cheeky tank engine twins and those troublesome three be?
Rocky (pup): Knowing those five together, it's probably another one of their pranks.
Marshall: Or another one of their naughty plans.
Zuma: (scoffs) You think?
Rubble: Bill? Ben?
Skye: Hubcap? Gasket? Dwayne?
Bill: (laughing)
PAW Patrol: Huh?
[Just then, Bill suddenly appears, biffing some cars before puffing off]
Rocky (pup): There he goes!
Skye: Quickly, after him!
[Thomas puffs after Bill]
Thomas: Hey, wait for us!
[They followed Bill into a tunnel]
Marshall: Ben!
Bill: (giggles)
Rubble: Bill!
[They chased after Bill out of the tunnel. As they puff through a gorge, they hear another whistle and they look up to see Ben puffing past them up above on a bridge. As Ben crosses the bridge, he dislodges some dust which falls onto them, making them shut their eyes. Then as they open them again, they puff out onto a ledge and look at the view of the Clay Pits with awe and wonder]
PAW Patrol: Wow.
[They saw Bill and Ben down below and went down to greet them]
Thomas: Hello, Ben.
Ben: You all took your time, Thomas. Your cars are over there.
[A line of cars is standing nearby]
Bill: Don't be silly, Ben. Thomas isn't strong enough to pull those cars.
Thomas: Of course, I am!
[Thomas whistles and puffs off to the cars]
Bill and Ben: (snickers)
[Thomas backs up to the cars and gets coupled up. He puffs off, not realizing that the cars are already coupled up to an oil-burning steam engine named Timothy. He was sizzling nicely when he felt being pulled back by Thomas and the cars]
Timothy: Oh! Hey! Stop! (slamming on his brakes, making Thomas strain) What's got into you cars?
Thomas: Oh.
PAW Patrol: Huh?
The Ruff-Ruff Pack, Bill and Ben: (laughing)
Hubcap: What's the matter, Timothy?
Gasket: Tug-of-war with Thomas and the Loser Patrol?
Thomas: Timothy?
PAW Patrol: Timothy?
Timothy: Thomas? PAW Patrol?
Narrator: Timothy was the little oil-burning engine that worked at the Clay Pits too. The Ruff-Ruff Pack, Bill and Ben had played a trick on both him and Thomas.
Zuma: Oh, those jerks!
Timothy: Oh, don't mind them, Zuma. Bill and Ben are always playing tricks on other engines. Even when they made friends with the Ruff-Ruff Pack.
Thomas: I know, all about Bill and Ben and their tricks, Timothy.
Chase: And we know all about the Ruff-Ruff Pack and their schemes.
Timothy: You have to admit, though, that was a funny one. Cars can be troublesome, but they don't usually have that much pull! [laughs with Thomas and the pups. Then they hear thunders as they look up to see storm clouds appearing in the sky] You'd best be careful, fellas. If a storm comes, the heavy rains can make the clay walls unstable.
Skye: Okay, Timothy.
Rubble: It was nice to meet you, anyways.
[They head off. As the rain poured down, Thomas and the pups puff along the clay walls. Lightning strikes, making the walls crack and crumble]
Thomas: Timothy was right! I do need to be careful. Whoa! [Some rocks fall down to the ground in front of Thomas, making him stop just in time] Huh? [Thomas and the pups look down to see a giant footprint in one of the rocks] Footprints?
Rocky (pup): What're footprints doing embedded in rocks?
Rubble: Beats me.
Skye: Guys, there's some more up there!
[They look up as lightning flashes, revealing more footprints alongside the cliff wall]
Thomas: What could have made footprints as big as.....
[Then more rocks starts to fall down towards Thomas and the pups]
Thomas and the pups: (gasp)
Bill and Ben: Look out.
[They tried to pushed by to no avail]
Hubcap: Now!
The Ruff-Ruff Pack: Ruff-Ruff Pack, Ruff-Ruff-- [Then they saw the rocks falling towards them] (screams)
[They bashed into Ben and they pushed everyone to safety]
Everyone Whoa!
[The landslide falls down behind them. The intro starts and ends with the title "Tale of the Brave". The scene changes to the shunting yard where all the engines and the PAW Patrol are gathered around Sir Topham Hatt]
Narrator: Tale of the Brave. The morning after the big storm on the Island of Sodor, Sir Topham Hatt gathered some of his engines together to make an announcement.
Sir Topham Hatt: Ahem. We are here to pay tribute to the bravery of Hubcap, Gasket, Dwayne, Bill and Ben.
Bill: Hello, everyone.
Ben: Glad you could make it.
[The engines blew their whistles]
Sir Topham Hatt: While they may be better known for playing tricks on their fellow engines....
Gordon: You can say that again.
Sir Topham Hatt: ...that by rescuing Thomas and the pups from the landslide at the China Clay Pits, they have proved once again that they are Really Useful and brave heroes!
[All the engines whistled, except for Gordon, James and Zuma who frown at them with disapproval]
Gordon: Really silly villains, more like!
Zuma: I know. I never trust them! In fact, I'm braver than they'll ever be!
[then I Wanna Scare Myself starts playing]
Gordon: What's that music?
James: I think he's going to sing.
Gordon: Oh, great.
Zuma: (singing) Oh, I love surprises and wearing disguises a horribly hideous costume'll do
Better be weary, and spooky, and scary I'll bounce from the shadows and Boo!
I wanna scare myself and everyone else
Those thrilly and chilly old willys will rise
Cover your eyes everybody, beware I'm twitchin' and itchin' to scare myself!
Unspeakable spookables awful unlookables Galloping ghosties and goblins galore
What if they find you?
Oh, Look out behind you!
A terrible Pup-Type roar!
That would be me. Hoo-Hoo!
I Wanna Scare Myself And Everyone Else
Those Thrilly And Chilly Old Willys Will Rise
Cover Your Eyes Everybody Beware I'm Twitchin' And Itchin' To Scare Myself
Now, monsters like me, I figure, Make scares even bigger They dress up and scream; "Who am I? Can you guess?" And tricks always happen when ghosts are a-flappin' And tricks are what I like best!
I Wanna Scare Myself And Everyone Else
Those Thrilly And Chilly Old Willys Will Rise
Cover Your Eyes Everybody Beware I'm Twitchin' And Itchin' To Scare Myself
Hoo-Hoo-Hoo-Hoo! And who better?
Oh, By the way, Boo!
Gordon and James: AAH!
[The song ends]
Zuma: (laugh as he left)
Gordon: (grumbling) The only one he scares is himself.
James: I know, right? He's such a scaredy-pup sometimes. (whistles and puffs off)
[Thomas who is deep in thought as Sir Topham Hatt walk over to him]
Sir Topham Hatt: Ah, Thomas. I'd like you to work at the docks this morning... (notices Thomas deep in thought) Thomas?
Thomas: (snapping out of his thoughts) Oh. Yes, sir. Work at the docks.
Sir Topham Hatt: Mmm-hmm.
[He walks off, leaving Thomas alone with Percy]
Percy: What's wrong, Thomas? You seem a bit quiet.
Thomas: Sorry, Percy. I, well, I saw something strange up at the Clay Pits yesterday.
Percy: Really? What did you see?
Thomas: I'm not sure. I think I saw footprints. But, I need to take another look.
[He whistles and puffs off, leaving Percy puzzled]
Percy: Footprints?
[The scene changes to a frog on a lily pad in a pond. As it jumps into the pond, a strange alligator like shape moves past it. Thomas arrived back taking Chase and Skye to the Clay Pits to look for the footprints]
Narrator: Before starting work at the docks, Thomas, Chase and Skye went back to the Clay Pits again. Thomas wanted to go back to where he had seen what they thought were big footprints. [He came to the area which is closed off by danger signs] But the area was closed off and there were danger signs.
[Then a shovel appears in front of him, making Thomas stop]
Thomas: Agh! What's that?
Marion: Only me! (laughs) Sorry. Oh, dear. This is embarrassing. Haven't you ever seen a steam shovel before?
Thomas: Yes, I...We just didn't hear you coming, and, well...we were thinking about something else.
Marion: Me too. I was thinking about digging. I love digging. I love thinking about digging. Not as much as I love digging, of course. Digging is what I'm all about really, but... oh. Oh, dear. This is embarrassing. I forgot to ask you your name.
Thomas: Uh...
Marion: You should always introduce yourself. It's only polite. That's what I've always been told anyway.
Thomas: Uh..
Marion: Shall I go first? Let me introduce myself. I'm Marion. And you are...
Thomas: Thomas.
Marion: Nice to meet you.
Thomas: Do you always talk this much?
Marion: Not particularly. No, I wouldn't say that. I'm more of a digger, to be honest. Or should I say steam shovel? That is my proper title, you know, seeing as I have a shovel, and I'm powered by steam. I'm here to clear the tracks, actually. (whistles and puffs off to the clay walls) Always a lot of digging to do after a landslide! That's right. Oh, a lot of digging. [Thomas attempts to sneak past the danger sign] Ah-ah-ah. Don't you go past the danger sign, Thomas. That would be dangerous. Unless, of course, you want me to dig you out. (laughs then saw something) Oooh! What's that rocky bit? The rocky bits are always the hardest to dig.
[Thomas watch Marion with amusement just as Timothy puff past, pushing some cars towards the clay walls and Marion]
Timothy: I see you've met Marion, then.
Thomas: I certainly have.
Marion: Steam shovels are made for digging, and I am particularly good at it. Either way, ooh, good, Marion. Well done.
[Timothy reverses back to Thomas]
Thomas: Timothy, have you seen any big animals in the clay pits?
Timothy: Big animals? Like what? A cow or a deer?
Thomas: No, bigger than that. Much bigger.
Timothy: There aren't animals bigger than that on Sodor, Thomas. Oh, except giraffes and elephants in the animal park. (laughs)
Marion: And chickens.
Thomas and Timothy: Chickens?
Marion: Oh, sorry. Did I say "chickens"? I meant dinosaurs. Oh, dinosaurs were very big animals. But dinosaurs aren't around anymore. No, they lived a very long time ago, A very, very, very long time ago. Oh, dear. There I go talking out of my shovel.
Timothy: Why are you asking about big animals, Thomas?
Thomas: Oh, I was just wondering. That's all.
Marion: (singing) Do you dig digging like I dig digging?~ I do, I do, I do~ Do you dig digging like I dig digging?~ I diggy, diggy, diggy, diggy, diggy do!~
[As Marion loaded the cars with rocks, she's unaware that alongside them is the rock with the footprint in it that Thomas has found the other day. It got buried as Marion drop some more rocks on it. The scene changes to Thomas arriving at Brendam Docks]
Narrator: It was a busy morning at Brendam Docks. Ships were being loaded and unloaded and cargo was waiting to be taken away.
[Thomas back down to a train of conflats and bump them by accident]
Cranky: And where have you been all morning? I thought you were meant to be pulling goods trains today!
Thomas: I am. I just had another job to do first, that's all.
Zuma: Hmm.
[and he left in thoughts. Percy arrives whistling]
Percy: Thomas! Did you go back to the Clay Pits? Did you find out what made those footprints?
Thomas: I've tried, Percy, but the area was closed off after the landslide.
Cranky: (putting a crate down hard on one of the conflats) Maybe you should stick to your railway jobs, Thomas, instead of going around chasing footprints and causing landslides.
Percy: Why are you so worried about some footprints, anyway?
Thomas: Because I don't know what could have made them, Percy. They were very big footprints. Bigger than any animal on Sodor.
Percy: (gasps) You mean they were footprints from... (starting to feel scared) a monster?!
Cranky: A monster? Honestly! The things you engines come up with.
Thomas: Don't be silly, Percy. There's no such thing as monsters.
Percy: OK, Thomas. I hope you're right.
[He whistles and puffs off leaving Thomas worried]
Thomas: So do I.
[Later, Percy is puffing through the countryside as a fog starts to roll in]
Narrator: As an eerie fog rolled across Sodor, Percy couldn't stop thinking about what Thomas had said.
Percy: There's no such thing as monsters. (chuckles nervously) There's no such thing as monsters. There's no such thing as monsters. There's no such thing as monsters. Oh..... Oh.... Oh! Whoa! (slams on his brakes) What's that? [he saw the same alligator-like shape coming towards him] I...hope...it's....not...a....monster! Ohh! Run away! Run away! (puffs off backwards) Oh, run away, run away!
[The scene changes to back at Brendam Docks where Cranky loaded the last crate onto Thomas' conflat. He whistles and was just about puff off when he heard Porter's whistle in the distance]
Porter: Look out! Look out! Runaway cars!
[He sped past Thomas just as Percy puff backwards into view]
Percy: A monster! A monster! It's coming this way!
Rubble: A monster?!
[Pecry bumped into a brakevan as he backed into the green warehouse]
Percy: It's the monster from the Clay Pits!
Thomas: Huh?
Marshall: What?!
Cranky: The monster? Aaah!
[He turn around, dropping sandbags to the ground as Salty arrives, looking concerned. The shape puffs closer to the engines. Percy shut his eyes in horror and wait for the worst. Then as the shape stop and the dust cleared away, it reveals to be an engine with an unusual shaped tank]
Unusual shaped engine: Oh, hello.
Salty: Ha-har! That be no monster, Percy! That be an engine! Ahoy there, matey! (chuckles) I think they all thought you were a sea monster.
Cranky: I didn't think you were a monster.
Marshall and Rubble: Cranky?!
[Cranky look down at Marshall, Rubble and Thomas who got sand all over them and glare at him]
Cranky: (blushes in embarrassment) Oops.
Unusual shaped engine: (laughs) A monster? Oh, I don't usually get mistaken for a monster. Mind you, they do call me Gator.
Rubble: Why Gator?
Gator: It seems they think my long sloping water tank makes me look like an alligator!
Salty: Gator? Huh? That's a great name!
Gator: (chuckles) Well, my real name is Gerald, but I quite like being called Gator.
Thomas: And I like being called Thomas.
Salty: Or should we call you "Sandy" now? (laughs)
Marshall: Or what about "Sandra"? (laughs)
Thomas: And the little green tank engine in my friend, Percy.
Percy: Hello.
Gator: Hello, Percy. I'm sorry if I gave you and the others a fright. I was in a hurry to catch a ship....
[A whistle blew and everyone look to see the Dock Manager walking towards them]
Narrator: Then, the Dock Manger arrived. He was not very happy to see his docks in such a mess.
The Dock Manager: What is going on here? Those cars should be in Vicarstown by now, Percy.
Percy: Sorry, sir. I was just leaving. (whistles and puffs off) Goodbye, Gator.
Gator: Goodbye, Percy.
[Percy went through the countryside towards Vicarstown]
Narrator: Percy felt very silly for thinking the new engine was a monster, but he was still a little worried. [The scene changes to nighttime as Percy puff along the line with the mail train] And that night, as he set out to take the mail train, he seemed to see monsters everywhere.
[The song Monsters Everywhere starts playing as Percy saw various things that look like monsters like rabbits for monster eyes, a haystack for a spooky face, a washing line, a water tower leaning over, leaves on his lamp making a scary face, a old barn's cracks and window making that face and the signalbox for a monster with a open mouth]
What's that just around the corner?~
Something in the rocks and trees~
Slowly, slowly getting closer~
Makes you want to puff and wheeze~
Monsters everywhere, hiding in the trees~
Monsters everywhere, blowing in the breeze~
Monsters everywhere, doing as they please~
They try to scare you!~
Is your boiler getting colder~
As you slowly puff around?~
Must be brave, you must be bolder~
It's no more than silly sounds~
Monsters everywhere, hiding in the trees~
Just behind the rocks, blowing in the breeze~
Monsters everywhere, doing as they please~
They try to scare you!~
[Percy saw eyes peeking out every tree and as they puff into a tunnel, footprints and spooky eyes appear all around him, scaring him even more]
Look out! Look out!~
They're all about!~
Where?~
Look out! Look out!~
They're all about!~
Where?~
Look out! Look out!~
They're all about!~
Where?~
[Percy whooshed out of the tunnel. A frog hops out of the tunnel and onto the track]
Oh, that's not so scary.
Frog: (croaks)
[The scene changes to early the next morning when Thomas puff back to the Clay Pits]
Narrator: The next morning, Thomas woke up early and headed straight to the Clay Pits. His branch lines were still under construction.
[As Thomas puff down to the lower level, Ben puff under a track where two men are pushing a mine cart above him]
Two men: Got it. Yep. One, two, three... (they tip the mine cart, pouring clay to Ben's cars)
Marion: (singing) I like to dig up, I like to dig down~ I like to dig up treasure that's never been found~ Do you dig digging like I dig digging?~ I do!~ I do!~ I diggy, diggy do!~
[Timothy puff past Thomas with cars filled up with rocks]
Thomas: Hello, Timothy.
Timothy: Hello, Thomas.
Thomas: Have you find anything unusual in there?
Timothy: Like what?
Thomas: I don't know. Footprints from a monster or something?
[Thomas puff towards the danger zone and look around for the footprints he saw two nights ago, unaware that he's been followed by Hubcap, Gasket and Dwayne unnoticed]
The Ruff-Ruff Pack: Boo!
Thomas: Aah!
Bill and Ben: (laughs)
Gasket: Well, look who it is.
Hubcap: The Big Blue Chicken!
Thomas: You and your tricks! You nearly made me burst a safety valve!
Ben: We were only saying hello.
Bill: Poor thing.
Dwayne: You'd think he'd seen a steam shovel before?
[The five troublesome friends puff off laughing. The scene changes to Brendam Docks where Percy is reversing to a train of Troublesome Trucks sleepily]
Narrator: Meanwhile, poor nervous Percy had gone to Brendam Docks to collect some cars. Percy was very sleepy after staying awake all night keeping a lookout for monsters.
Car: (giggling)
[Percy puffs back slowly to the cars as he struggle to stay awake]
Dock Worker: Percy....
Car: (laughing)
[Percy shut his eyes and accidentally back into the cars bumping them which also causes him to wake up, startled]
Percy: (screaming) Oh, no!
Worker: Oh! Percy!
Percy: Help! What's that? (he drags a shunter's pole along behind him, out of the worker's hands)
[The shunter's pole falls off Percy's back coupling as he puff past Rubble and Gator]
Rubble: Percy, stop!
[Percy screeched to a halt]
Gator: You've left your cars behind!
[The Troublesome Trucks laughed while the worker look at Percy with an unamused look on his face]
Percy: Oh! What?
Car: (laughing) Silly Percy! Only us! (laughing)
Rubble: Never mind, Percy. It was just an accident.
Gator: Are you always such a nervous engine? You're acting like there's something chasing you down the tracks!
Percy: Sorry. It's just Thomas said....
Narrator: Percy did feel a little silly.
Percy: (sighs) Never mind.
[the three friends didn't notice that Zuma saw the whole thing]
Zuma: Heh. What a chicken! I know a freight car when I see one.
[The scene changes back to the Clay Pits where Marion is loading Thomas' cars with rocks]
Narrator: Back at the Clay Pits, Thomas was shunting cars for Marion. And trying to see if he could spot any footprints.
Marion: OK, Thomas. That's your lot. But hurry back, OK? [Thomas whistles and puffs off] I'II stay here and dig until I fill up some more cars. There's plenty of digging still to do. Plenty of digging. I dig all day.....
Thomas: Maybe I didn't see anything that night. Heh. Maybe the lightning is playing tricks on me.
Gasket: Out of my way! I saw it first!
Hubcap: You?! I saw the washdown first!
Thomas: Hmm, playing tricks on me.....
Narrator: And then an idea flew into Thomas' funnel.
Gasket: If you wanted a shower, then get you're own!
Hubcap: This is the only one that's in the Clay Pits!
Thomas: Hey, guys. Can I ask you a question?
Dwayne: You just did, Thomas.
Hubcap and Gasket: (laugh)
Thomas: Wha-? Oh-ho yes. I was just wondering, the other day before you rescued me from the landslide, were you playing a trick on me?
Hubcap: A trick?
Gasket: That landslide was not a trick!
Dwayne: We thought we were gonna get that clay from the walls and on you.
Hubcap: Dwayne!
Dwayne: Sorry.
Thomas: Oh, I don't mean the landslide. I saw something else at the clay walls and....
Gasket: Lots of things get hidden inside clay walls, Blue Boy.
Hubcap: Yeah... exactly what I meant.
Gasket: (sighs)
Hubcap: So, unless you've got an apology for offending us. Don't say anything at all!
Gasket: Ever.
[and they walked off so mad]
Dwayne: Sorry, Thomas. Meet you again, soon!
[and he followed his friends]
Narrator: Thomas hadn't meant to upset Hubcap and Gasket. He just wanted to find out where the big footprints had come from and whether they were footprints at all. [The scene changes to night as Thomas arrived back at Tidmouth Sheds] It was already dark when Thomas finally returned to Tidmouth Sheds. He was very surprised to find Percy still in his berth.
Thomas: Percy? Aren't you supposed to be taking the mail train? You should have left by now.
Percy: I know, Thomas, but last night I kept seeing things that looked like monsters!
Thomas: Monsters?
James: (chuckles) A monster?
Zuma: It's only scary when you believe in monsters.
Percy: They weren't really monsters. They were only silly things like a haystack or a shirt on the line. But there could be still a monster out there! Please, Thomas, would you take the mail train for me? Just tonight.
Thomas: Um, all right, Percy, I suppose I could. (puffs out of his berth)
Percy: Thank you, Thomas! Thank you! You're a good friend!
Zuma: To be honest, Percy. I don't know why anyone can scared of the night. Unlike me, you sure do know how to get spookables inside of you.
Rubble: Zuma, there's no cause to be rude!
Zuma: Well, excuse me for telling the truth.
[and he went to sleep. The scene changes to later as Percy waited for Thomas to return]
Narrator: Percy couldn't sleep. He kept thinking about Thomas and wondering if he was OK. [He heard Thomas' whistle and look as he puff back into his berth next to him] But Thomas finally finished the mail train and came back safe and sound.
Percy: No monsters?
Thomas: No monsters.
Rubble: See, Percy? It's just all in your head.
Percy: But what about the footprints?
Thomas: It was dark and stormy that night at the clay pits. I don't even know for sure that I saw any footprints. You should try to get some sleep, Percy. There's nothing to worry about.
[The scene changes to the railway works the next morning where Annie and Clarabel are sleeping]
Narrator: At last, Thomas' branch line was opened again.
[Annie hears Thomas' whistle and look up to see him reversing down towards her and Clarabel, much to her delight]
Annie: Wake up, Clarabel! We're back in business.
[Thomas couples up to Annie]
Clarabel: Oh, is that Thomas? How delightful.
Annie and Clarabel: (laughs)
[James puffs up to them with an angry expression on his face]
James: It's not fair! You get to pull coaches and I get send for scrap!
Thomas: (stop suddenly in shock) Sent for scrap?!
Clarabel: Oh, James! That's terrible!
Annie: You still look Really Useful to me!
James: No. I mean sent to the scrap yard to collect cars filled with scrap.
Annie: (chuckling) Oh, I see. Silly us.
Clarabel: Yes. Silly us.
Thomas: Cheer up, James. Pulling cars isn't so bad.
Clarabel: You can't always do the jobs you like best.
Zuma: Well, well, aren't we funny ones. I'm heading off to the harbor to patrol the sea. But guess who's the joke: all of you! (laughs) Especially Percy.
[and he continues laughing as he went away]
Rubble: I don't understand why he's being like this.
James: Well, you won't believe how annoying he was about being the bravest. Just let him wait. I'm braver than he'll be.
[The scene changes to James puffing along Edward's branch line with a cross look on his face]
Narrator: James was not a happy engine as he puffed to the scrapyard.
[James saw Percy up ahead and puff over to them]
James: Hello, scaredy engine! Seen any monsters lately? (laughs)
Percy: You can tease if you want to, James, but there really might be a monster on Sodor, you know.
James: Ha! Puff and nonsense! There's no such thing as monsters!
Percy: Well, Thomas and the pups saw giant footprints up at the Clay Pits and nobody knows what made them.
[He puffs on, leaving James rather puzzled]
James: Giant footprints? Huh.... I wonder what.... (got swerved onto another track) Whoa! (screaming) [James swerved onto a track in the scrap yard, applied his brakes and bumped into a flatbed with a bunch of scrap on it] Oh! [A claw grabs some scrap off a car and piles it on top of the scrap on the flatbed which has a tractor, a harrow, rusty wheels, a steam shovel, a lorry, an old water wheel, an old lamp post, rusty pipes and siderods, and a conveyor belt which looks like a monster] Oh!
Reg: Hello, mate!
[James looks to see a face behind a car full of scrap]
James: Ah!
Reg: You came in fast! (the face moves, revealing to be a yellow crane named Reg) Scrap give you a bit of a fright, did it?
James: Ah, no! (chuckles) I'm not scared of pieces of metal and rusty old machines!
Reg: Is that right? Well, aren't you the big engine? Reg is the name. I'm the scrapyard crane.
James: Well, I'm James. And I usually pull coaches.
[He couples up to the flatbed, whistles and puffs off, leaving Reg with an amused grin]
Reg: Well, there's a surprise.
[The scene changes to Brendam Docks where Percy have arrived]
Narrator: Meanwhile, Percy had arrived at the docks, but he didn't expect to find Gator still there.
[Gator puff around the bend towards Percy]
Percy: Gator! Hello! Are you working on Sodor now?
Gator: No, Percy. I missed my ship. I'm just helping the dock manager while I wait for another one. He needs me to collect some cars from Duck's branch line tonight.
Percy: Tonight?! Aren't you afraid of monsters?
Gator: Monsters? What monsters? (laughs) Monsters would probably be afraid of me!
Percy: Wow! You're brave, Gator. I wish I was as brave as you are.
Gator: You might be braver than you think, Percy. I wasn't always as brave as I am now. [As Gator told his story, an illustration flashback starts playing, showing Gator on a mountain railway] I'm designed to work in the high mountains, Percy. That's why my water tanks are this special shape. But just because you're designed for something, doesn't mean you can't be afraid of it. And it was a shock for me to find out that I was afraid of heights! One day, I was faced with having to cross a high bridge, higher than any bridge I'd ever seen before. But I was pulling cars loaded with important supplies. The villagers needed my help. I decided I must be brave! I took everything in me to cross that bridge, but I did it, even though I was scared. [The flashback ends as Gator puff into the village on the other side of the bridge] So, you see, being brave isn't the same as not feeling scared. Being brave is about what you do even when you do feel scared. [Percy smiles, whistles and starts to puff off] Percy? Where are you going?
Percy: There's something I have to do. [Percy set off, leaving Gator with a smile. Later that evening at Tidmouth Sheds, Thomas is getting his wheels oiled by his driver, when Percy puff up at the side of the sheds] Hello, Thomas! Guess what?
Thomas: Um, let me see. Have you been asked to deliver a giant balloon on a flatbed?
Percy: (laughs) No! I've decided to be brave and (puffs forward, revealing his mail cars) take the mail train tonight!
Thomas: Oh! So you're not feeling scared about monsters anymore?
Percy: Being brave isn't about not being scared, Thomas. Being brave is about what you do even when you do feel scared. Gator told me that.
Thomas: Good luck, Percy!
Percy: Thank you, Thomas!
Zuma: Well, looks like someone has finally taken my advice.
Rubble: Maybe he did, Maybe he didn't, Zuma. He must've learned it all by himself.
Percy: Don't you worry about me!
[Rocky has started to notice something funny about Zuma]
Rocky (pup): Why the happy face, Zuma?
Zuma: I'm happy because Young Percy must finally realize that without my courage he would still be the scardiest engine the world has ever known. Ha-ha!
Sir Topham Hatt: (walking up) Oh, there you are, Zuma! Don't settle down. I need you to pull the Flying Kipper tonight and deliver fresh fish for the morning.
Zuma: The Flying Kipper, sir? I suppose so, sir. But, what's happened to Henry?
Sir Topham Hatt: Nothing's happened. Henry has taken a heavy goods train to the Mainland. He won't be back before tomorrow.
Zuma: Very well, sir.
[and he left]
Emily: Be careful out there, Zuma. Monsters can be very hard to see in the dark.
[Zuma went on feeling cross about Emily mimicking his teasing. The scene changes to Percy is puffing through the dark countryside with a happy look on his face]
Narrator: Percy was very happy to be pulling the mail train again.
Percy: Thomas is right. There's no such thing as monsters. And Gator is right too. I can be brave! [Percy look to see the same haystack with the pitchforks sticking out] That's not a monster! That's just a haystack! (laughs) [He puffs under some trees where a snowy owl hoots] Those aren't monsters either, they're just trees! (laughs) Not scary at all.
Narrator: Percy didn't feel scared about monsters any more. He felt brave! While Zuma, on the other hand, felt upset.
Zuma: Silly Percy. Silly Emily. Silly everyone! They're just too nervous of things that don't look like the real thing. [A worker put a crate of fish on top of a stack of fish crates, much to Zuma's disgust] Yuck!
Porter: (laughs) You look like you're in a sunny mood again, Zuma.
Zuma: Huh. Well, it's not sunny. It's nighttime.
[He went away, leaving Porter rather confused. Zuma continue on crossly towards the junction. He then looks up at the signal in confusion]
Gator: Hello.
[Zuma look to see Gator's silhouette in front of him and because his lamp is off, he can't see him properly. Then there was trouble Zuma accidentally drove hovercraft too fast]
Zuma: Whoa! Whoa!!!!
[And he was out of sight. Gator's driver taps his lamp twice to turn it back on]
Gator: Not again. (sighs)
[Percy is puffing along the line when he saw Zuma racing past him, screaming, much to his confusion]
Zuma: (screaming)
Narrator: Zuma was having a hard time to slow down that he missed the red signal, hit the points, came off the rails and ended up in a pond!
[Zuma crashes into the pond at the Fenland Track]
Zuma: Ulgh! Yuck! Bleck!
[a frog croaks on his head as Gator puffs up onto the Fenland]
Gator: Are you alright? I didn't mean to give you a fright.
Percy: (puffing up alongside Gator) Oh, Zuma! Ha-ha. I've see you've met Gator.
Zuma: (sneering) How worse can this night possibly get? [then the fish spilled out of the cars] (sighs) I should've known.
[The scene changes to Percy puffing through the countryside with his happy face as the sun grows higher in the blue sky]
Narrator: The next day, Percy was very happy! Not just because he had taken the mail train again, and not because of what had happened to Zuma, but because their new friend, Gator, was now working on Sir Topham Hatt's railway! [Percy and Gator puff side by side, whistling to each other. At Knapford] Later that day, Zuma arrived at Knapford station.
Emily: Ssh. Here he comes!
Narrator: The other engines and pups thought what had happened to him was very funny indeed. Even though some of them felt sorry for him.
Skye: I'm sorry you were in accident, Zuma. It must've been horrible.
Marshall: Oh, it's uh, not so bad, Skye. A biff and a bash that's all.
Emily: (laughs) Gator may have a sloping water tank, Zuma, but that's nothing to be frightened of.
Zuma: I was not scared! My hovercraft got out of control.
Henry: (whistles as he pulled up next to Zuma) Thank you for taking the Flying Kipper for me, Zuma. Only, you're meant to deliver the fish, not throw them back in the water!
Henry, Gordon, Thomas and Emily: (laughing)
Narrator: Zuma was upset by this. Then, Zuma felt something quite different. Zuma felt cross.
Zuma: I CAN'T TAKE THIS!
[this made everyone stop laughing as Zuma ran off]
Thomas: Zuma!
Emily: Wait!
Henry: We didn't mean it!
Narrator: But Zuma wasn't listening. He had something else in mind.
Zuma: I'll show them who the scaredy one is! Everyone will learn a thing or two from me. (laughs evilly) I Wanna Scare Myself And Everyone Else~
Those Thrilly And Chilly Old Willys Will Rise~
Cover Your Eyes Everybody Beware~
I'm Twitchin' And Itchin' To Scare Myself~
Hoo-Hoo-Hoo-Hoo! Look out, Percy! Guess who's coming to... Boo!
[The scene changes to night as Percy coupled up to his mail cars and puffs off]
Narrator: That night, when Percy set out to take the mail train.... [Zuma wake up and look from his left to right to see if everyone is asleep then hops aboard James as he woke up and puffs off into the night with a sneaky grin on Zuma's face] Zuma and James set out into the night too. [Thomas open his eyes a little and saw Zuma and James puffing off but brush it off and went back to sleep] Percy was back into his routine. Everything was going fine. He stopped in the stations and waited while the mail sacks were loaded and unloaded. And he didn't see anything that worried him at all. [Percy whistles and puffs off to deliver the mail. the scene changes to the woods where the scrap monster flatbed appears out of the fog] Then, there was trouble.
[James pushes the scrap monster along the line]
Zuma: (chuckles) [Percy is puff along on the same line in the other direction, unaware of Zuma's trick. James stop and left the flatbed on the line just as Percy is approaching] Ah ha!
Narrator: There was something unusual on the track up ahead. Something big!
Percy: Oh!
Narrator: It wasn't a haystack or a clothesline. It could only be one thing....
[Percy apply his brakes and bump into the scrap monster flatbed. It's shovel arm swings around above his funnel]
Percy: There's no such thing as monsters! There's no such thing as monsters! (the scrap monster looms over him) Ahhh! The monster! (starts to reverse)
[Later, James and Zuma returned to Tidmouth Sheds. James backed into his berth and seeing that no one's awake, Zuma smiles that his plan worked]
Zuma: In 5, 4, 3, 2,...
[Then Percy's whistle is heard echoing around the sheds, waking the engines and the pups]
Percy: Oh! It's coming to get me! It's right behind me, I know it is!
Edward: What?
Chase: Huh?
Skye: Percy?
Marshall: I'm awake! I'm awake!
[Everyone look to see Percy racing through the turntable and into his berth with his mail cars sticking out]
Percy: The monster! The monster!
Thomas: Percy!
Rocky (pup): What is it, Percy?
Percy: I saw it! I really saw it!
Rubble: Saw what?
Zuma: (chuckles) Silly Percy! There's no such thing as monsters. You probably saw another haystack.
Gordon: (chuckles) Oh, yes, a haystack. Or a shirt on a line.
Emily: Maybe you were just dreaming.
Percy: You're all wrong! It was a monster! It had spikes and teeth and claws and spikes and teeth.
Marshall: You said spikes and teeth twice.
Engines: (laughing)
Emily: Stop it! That's enough!
Percy: Tell them, Thomas! Tell them! There are monsters on Sodor! You saw those enormous footprints! Tell them.
Thomas: Um, well.... (He look at the other engines) I, I don't know what I saw, Percy, or what you saw either, but I don't think it could have really been a monster.
Edward: There's no such thing as monsters.
Henry: Edward is right, no such thing. Never was and never will be.
Rubble: I believe in you, Percy. They're just too unsure to think about it.
Zuma: (laughs) Oh, yes, Percy. Admit it. You're just a scaredy-engine!
James and Zuma: (laugh)
Percy: None of you believe us. And you're right, I was scared, but I know what I saw.
[The scrap monster stand on the line during the night before it changes to morning which reveals that it's not so scary after all. Sir Topham Hatt's car pulls up to the sheds]
Narrator: Later that morning, Sir Topham Hatt came to the sheds. And he didn't look very happy.
Sir Topham Hatt: James! What's this I hear about scrap being left on the line?
James: Sorry, sir. I'II see to it right away. (he whistles and puffs off)
Sir Topham Hatt: And where is Percy? I've also had reports of mail not being delivered!
[The scene changes to Percy and Rubble puffing through the countryside, feeling rather sad about his friends not believing him about the monster]
Narrator: Rubble was helping Percy who was more worried than ever. He felt upset that his friends didn't believe them. He'd seen the monster, and he didn't want to see it again, especially by himself.
Percy: Gator!
[He and Rubble puff up next to Gator]
Gator: Hello, Percy. Hello, Rubble. Where are you off to this morning?
Percy: I'm just delivering the mail from last night.
Rubble: He had a bit of a jump last night.
Percy: But maybe I should travel with you. I bet you'd know what to do if we see any monsters.
Gator: Any monsters? (laughs) Oh, you are a funny little engine.
[The song Tale of the Brave starts playing as Percy, Gator and Rubble puff through the countryside happily, side by side]

[Gator puffs ahead of Percy and Rubble until he approaches the Sodor Suspension Bridge up ahead. He look down in fear, still afraid of heights until Percy and Rubble puff past him over the suspension bridge. Seeing that Percy and the others crossing the bridge, Gator decides to be brave and cross the bridge after them]
When I'm with you~
We rock and we roll~
You make me happy,~
You make me bold~
Nothing is hard,~
'Cause I'm feeling safe~
This is our song~
Our Tale of the Brave~
Thomas: Percy!
[Percy look away, still cross at Thomas for not believing him about the monster and puff past him. Thomas felt sad by Percy giving him the cold shoulder]
Annie: Don't worry, Thomas.
Clarabel: Give him time. Give him time.
[Percy and Rubble catch up with Gator on a hill]
Rubble: It's good to have a new friend on the island, Gator.
Percy: I'm really glad that you're not going away.
Gator: But, Percy, I am going away. I've just been useful while I was waiting for my ship. And my ship is coming in tonight!
[Percy and Rubble stop on the top of the hill and watch Gator puff on ahead, feeling sad that he will leaving soon]
Rubble: Cheer up, Percy. At least you still have him as a friend.
[Thomas is still puffing sadly when he saw James pushing the scrap monster flatbed slowly]
Thomas: James? (He puff up next to James) What is that?
James: Nothing. It's just the car of scrap that was left on the line.
[Thomas look up at the scrap monster and realizes what had happened last night]
Thomas: (gasps) James! You played a trick on Percy! You made a monster out of scrap to give him a fright!
James: I did not! I was forced to join in.
Thomas: But, who would-- [then he realizes who would think such a thing] Oh no. Zuma!
James: What about him?
Thomas: He must've done this! And you helped him?!
James: What if I did? Zuma's the one who said; It was only a- a little joke.
Thomas: Not to Percy, it wasn't. He's Zuma's friend. We need to find him and tell him to apologize.
[The scene changes with Thomas, Rubble and Zuma]
Zuma: Apologize?! After what that little green engine did to me?!
Rubble: What did Gator ever do to you?
Zuma: He made me move my hovercraft into the Fenlands.
Rubble: That was accident!
Zuma: Hmph! Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't.
[and he left away grumbling to himself, leaving Rubble and Thomas looking at each other. At Knapford, Sir Topham Hatt look at the clock just as Percy arrived]
PA Female Announcer: Now arriving on Platform 5 is the Great Waterton Special.
Male PA Announcer: Attention please, this is a station announcement....
Narrator: Percy was finally delivering the last of the mail when he met Sir Topham Hatt.
Sir Topham Hatt: Percy! You have caused confusion and delay! The mail train is meant to travel at night so that people get their letters in the morning!
Percy: Yes, sir. I know, sir. But I had a bit of a fright last night...
Stationmaster: Excuse me, sir. You're wanted on the telephone.
Sir Topham Hatt: Oh, bother that telephone! I'II be right back, Percy. You stay where you are.
Percy: (sighs)
Narrator: Percy wanted to tell Sir Topham Hatt about the monster he had seen, but he never got the chance.
Thomas: (whistles) Percy! I'm sorry about last night, Percy. I really am.
Percy: Are you, Thomas? (scoffs) I thought at least you were my friend!
Thomas: But I am your friend, Percy!
Percy: No, you're not! Friends believe each other. When you told me about the footprints, I believed you. And when I told you about the monster, you should've believed me!
Thomas: But, Percy--
Percy: Maybe I should go to a faraway land and make new friends like Gator. You can stay here on Sodor with the monsters. (whistles and puffs on)
Thomas: Percy! Listen!
Sir Topham Hatt: Percy? I thought I told you.....to wait.
[Percy puffs crossly past a signalbox where Zuma saw him and catches up]
Zuma: Hello again, Spooked-Wheels.
Percy: What do you want?
Zuma: I just wanted to say something about last night.
Percy: I know you think a Scaredy Engine, Zuma, but I'm not! And I'm going to do something to prove it.
Zuma: Where are you, going?
Percy: To do something brave that will surprise you all!
[He puffs off onto another track. The scene changes to night as Zuma arriving at Tidmouth Sheds]
Narrator: That night in Tidmouth Sheds, Thomas and Rubble were waiting for Zuma.
Thomas: Well, did you talk to him?
Zuma: Talk to whom?
Rubble: To Percy, Zuma.
Thomas: Did you apologize.
Zuma: Maybe I did, maybe I didn't. He wouldn't even listen. He started talking about doing something brave.
Thomas: Where is he? He hasn't come back!
Henry: He's probably taking the mail train, Thomas.
Zuma: Yes, and he probably thinks taking the mail train is very brave! (laugh)
[Edward, Henry, James and Emily glare at him just as Sir Topham Hatt walks up]
Sir Topham Hatt: Has anyone seen Percy? I don't know what's got into that engine! Running backwards through the docks, delivering mail late, driving away when I'm talking to him. Now he hasn't collected his mail!
Thomas: Perhaps we should go and look for him, sir.
Sir Topham Hatt: Perhaps, Thomas, you should take the mail train for your friend. And if you do see Percy, tell him I would like a word!
Thomas: Yes, sir. I will, sir!
Zuma: (to Rubble) Burned.
[Thomas whistles and puffs off. Soon, he puffs through the countryside with the mail train, looking for Percy]
Narrator: So Thomas took the mail train again, but he couldn't help worrying about his friend and wondering where he could be.
[As Thomas puff out of a tunnel, he saw the back of a green engine and thought it was Percy]
Thomas: Percy! [But as he puff closer, he saw that it's only Gator] Oh, Gator. Hello.
Gator: Hello, Thomas.
Thomas: Have you seen Percy anywhere?
Gator: Oh, not since this morning, Thomas. And I was hoping to say goodbye.
Thomas: Goodbye?
Gator: Yes, my ship has come in. I'm leaving Sodor tonight. (whistles and puffs onto the track to Brendam Docks) Bye, Thomas! Nice to meet you.
Thomas: Goodbye, Gator.
[The scene changes to Brendam Docks where Cranky is lifting Percy]
Cranky: Are you sure Sir Topham Hatt wanted you on this ship? That doesn't sound right to me.
Percy: It is right, Cranky. I'm going to work far away like Gator. I can't stay on Sodor forever. I can be brave and really useful on other railways too.
Cranky: If you say so.
[Cranky turns to load Percy onto the ship. Thomas returned to Tidmouth Sheds to find that Percy is still not back]
Thomas: Where is he, Rubble? Hasn't he come back yet?
Rubble: I don't know.
[then they notice a familiar brown pup sleeping]
Thomas: Zuma!
Zuma: (snores then yawns as he woke up)
Thomas: Where is he, Zuma?
[Meanwhile, Gator is being lifted into the air by Cranky onto his ship]
Gator: (exhales) Pretty high up now but not as high as the high mountains. Not at all. (saw Percy) Oh, Percy! What are you doing here?
Percy: I'm going to work in a faraway land! And show everyone how brave I can be, just like you!
Gator: Hmm. Yes. Well, running away from your problems is not very brave, Percy.
[Percy started to think that they might be right after all. Back with Zuma]
Zuma: (yawns) I already told you, I don't know. He's probably doing something brave.
Rubble: Something brave?
Thomas: Like what?
Zuma: Oh, how should I know?
James: Maybe he's gone up to the Clay Pits to catch a monster.
Thomas: (suddenly brightening up) Yes, James! The Clay Pits! Why didn't I think of that?! Come on! We'd better find him before he gets into trouble!
Zuma: We?! Who said "we"? You said to apologize, I don't want to, end of story! Good night.
[and he went back to sleep]
Thomas: What? You have to come! You need apologize and...
Rubble: Are you scared of the dark?
[Zuma opens his eyes upon hearing that. Later, he, Thomas and Rubble are heading towards the Clay Pits]
Zuma: I'm not scared of anything! I'm the bravest on Sodor! Come on, guys! Keep up!
[Then Gator's ship's horn sounds in the distance]
Thomas: (gasps) The ship....
Narrator: Then Thomas remembered what Percy said about being as brave as Gator and going to a faraway land.
[Thomas slams on his brakes and he stop]
Thomas: No. He wouldn't.
Rubble: You don't think-
Thomas and Rubble: Zuma! Wait!
[But Zuma was gone. The scene changes to the ship about to leave the docks]
Narrator: The big ship was already starting to leave by the time Thomas came racing into the docks.
Thomas: (whistles) No! Stop! There's been a mistake! You can't leave! Come back!
Rubble: Cranky, you've gotta stop that ship!
Cranky: Stop the ship?!
Thomas: Don't let it go! This is an emergency!
Cranky: (grunts) [Cranky swings his hook towards the ship and manages to grab onto the end of it] Got it! [But the ship is pulling on Cranky's cable is unraveling it until there is no more] Uh-oh!
Thomas: (gasps)
Rubble: Cranky!
Cranky: (grunts)
[Salty and Porter arrived and look up in shock to see Cranky being pulled by the ship]
Salty: You'll never hold her! She'll pull you overboard!
[Cranky's arm starts to crack a little bit and Cranky got red in the face, trying to pull the ship back and keep himself from falling over]
Porter: Careful, Cranky!
[Cranky gets stretched by the ship pulling him]
Thomas: No, stop!
[All the crew members ran onto the dock. One crew member shone a spotlight at Cranky's hook at the end of the ship]
Salty: Loosen up your chain, Cranky! Let go of your hook!
Cranky: Oh! I can't! I can't!
[The bolts pop out of Cranky by his bodywork creak more]
Rubble: I can't look!
[Then the ship's rudder stops moving and Cranky stops stretching just in time]
Narrator: Luckily, the captain was able to stop his ship before Cranky was pulled off the docks!
[Cranky pulls the ship back and stand upright]
Cranky: (sighs) I told you I had it.
Salty: Phew.
Rubble: Good job, Cranky!
Thomas: Percy! You can't leave!
Cranky: Percy? Is that what all this is about?
Gator: Percy's not on the ship, Thomas.
Rubble: What?
Cranky: I unloaded Percy half an hour ago!
Thomas: You unloaded Percy? Then where is he now?
[Meanwhile, Percy is puffing into the Clay Pits. He puff past Bill, Ben, Marion and Timothy sleeping in their sheds. Percy's puffing wakes Bill who looks at Ben]
Bill: Ben!
Ben: What?
Bill: You're making puffing noises in your sleep again!
Ben: Am not.
Bill: Are too. So, don't.
[The twins fall back to sleep. With Percy]
Percy: If I can find the footprints Thomas saw, it will prove that the monster is real and then everyone will believe me and realize how brave I really am! But I do hope I only find footprints and not the monster again.
[Percy soon approached the danger signs at the clay walls]
Narrator: Percy stopped at the danger signs. He had had trouble with going past danger signs before. And this was the area where the landslide had been.
Zuma: I knew it! I knew you'd be here. Now to find Thomas and tell him that--
Percy: I'm braver than you'll be, Zuma!
Zuma: Oh, really? If you're so brave, why don't you keep going and look for the monster?
Percy: But it's not safe to go past danger signs.
Zuma: Only if you are scaredy engine. Let's see who is really the bravest, shall we?
[He continues on into the area. Thomas and Rubble arrived into the Clay Pits to look for Percy]
Rubble: Okay, you go that way. And I'll go this way.
[and they split up. Thomas puff past Bill, Ben, Timothy and Marion in their sheds and into a tunnel]
Thomas: Percy! Percy? Are you here?
Bill: Uhh.... Now I can even hear what you're dreaming, Ben.
Ben: That wasn't my dream, Bill.
Bill: Must have been Timothy's dream, then.
Timothy: (snores)
Bill and Ben: Oh, that Timothy.
[As dawn breaks across the Clay Pits, Zuma drives further into the danger area with Percy right behind him]
Zuma: Monster! Oh, monster! Come out, come out, wherever you are! Ha-ha.
Percy: Zuma, wait! This is not a good idea! It isn't brave not to be careful. It's silly.
Zuma: That's just what I'd expect a scaredy engine to say! (honks his hovercraft)
[His hovercraft's horn echoes around the clay walls, making it crumble]
Percy: Zuma, wait! Come back! It isn't safe! [Some rocks fall down to the ground next to Percy, revealing another footprint like the ones Thomas saw before] (gasps) Thomas was right.
Rubble: Zuma?
Thomas: Percy? Percy!
Zuma: No one can say I'm the scaredy one now. I mean, I don't see anyone else up here. Nothing to be frightened of. At. Huh?
Narrator: There was something poking out of the rocks up ahead and it looked like...
Zuma: A muh-muh-muh, A-muh-muh-muh-muh, The monster! (screaming) [He reverses his hovercraft backwards in fright] (screaming)
Rubble: Zuma?
[he drives his digger to investigate. Thomas sped up to the danger zone]
Zuma: The monster! The monster!
Percy: The...The monster?
Zuma: I saw it! (screams)
Narrator: The cliffs were still unstable. Percy had to move back to get away from the danger. Then, there was trouble!
[A large rock rolls down onto the tracks behind Zuma, blocking his hovercraft from going any further]
Zuma: (frightened) Help! My hovercraft's stuck!
Percy: No, Zuma! Go forward! It's a landslide!
Rubble: Percy! What are you doing?!
Thomas: You have to get out of there!
Zuma: (scared) HELP!
Percy: Zuma needs my help. I must be brave!
[He moves forward]
Rubble: What is he doing?!
Thomas: Percy! No!
[Rocks falls down to the track, blocking Thomas and Rubble from going any nearer to Percy as he race forward to rescue Zuma]
Percy: Go forward.
Zuma: The monster!
Percy: Go forward!
Zuma: The monster!
Percy: The landslide!
Zuma: Landslide? Huh? (looks up to see rocks falling down towards and screams) Help! Ooh!
[Percy pushes Zuma's hovercraft forward and they raced down the clay walls with the landslide right behind them]
Percy and Zuma: (screaming)
[They roll along very fast, avoid getting hit by big rocks. The landslide eventually catches up and sweeps Percy off the rails and carries him]
Percy: (screaming)
[Zuma raced past Marion, Hubcap, Gasket, Dwayne, Bill and Ben as they puff up]
Marion: Whoa! Look out!
[Percy sees something above and gasps. A Megalosaurus skeleton head fossil came falling down towards Percy]
Percy: Oh! Oh, no! [Just as the fossil's about to hit Percy, Marion catches it with her shovel, saving him just in time] Huh?
Narrator: Luckily, nobody was hurt.
Percy: That's not a monster! It's a rock!
Marion: No. (laughs) It's a fossil.
Hubcap: A what-sil?
Marion: A fossil. When something is buried for millions of years, it turns into stone and it's called a fossil.
Dwayne: So, it is a rock.
Marion: Ah, yes. A rock formed from the bones of a dinosaur!
The Ruff-Ruff Pack, Bill and Ben: Oh!
Marion: (holding the fossil like Hamlet) Oh, alas, poor dinosaur! Oh, I wonder where the rest of the dinosaur bones are? Oh, my! I've never dug up a dinosaur before.
Percy: Erm, maybe, if you wouldn't mind, you could dig me out first?
Marion: Ooh! Oops. Sorry, Percy. I wasn't thinking. Of course I should dig you out first.
[The scene changes to The Steamworks where Thomas, James and the PAW Patrol are waiting outside]
Narrator: Percy had to be taken to the Steamworks for repair.
Chase: How's Percy, Kevin?
Kevin: Well, they're still getting the earth out of his funnel.
Ryder: But it shouldn't be too long now.
[Everyone felt worried until they hear Percy's whistle. They look as the doors are pulled open and Percy puffs out of the Steamworks, all fixed up]
Percy: Hello.
Thomas and James: Percy!
Rubble: You're alright!
Rocky (pup): We've been so worried about you.
Chase: We've missed you so much.
Marshall: You gave us a good scare.
Skye: We're glad to have you back, Percy.
Narrator: Everyone was happy Percy is back, including Zuma. Although he felt disappointed in himself.
[James notices]
James: Zuma, is everything okay?
Zuma: No, James. It's not? (to Percy) Percy, I want to owe you an apology. The night when I met Gator, I wasn't paying attention with my hovercraft. And everyone teased me about my accident. And instead of telling my feelings... I played a trick on you.
Everyone: Aw!
Zuma: (sad) I'm sorry. I understand, that you guys don't want me around anymore. Because I am the world's scardiest pup.
[but everyone felt sorry for their friend]
Rubble: Zuma, you're not the world's scardiest pup.
Ryder: He's right. You'd made a mistake. But you admit it.
Thomas: And you said you were sorry.
Percy: And that's one thing of being brave.
[that made Zuma happy]
Zuma: Thank you, everyone. From now I promise I will not think about my bravery again. And Percy, I hope we're still friends.
[Percy smiles at his friends]
Percy: (laughs) Of course we are! We all are!
Everyone: Hooray!
[Thomas, Percy and James whistles with joy. Later, Thomas and Percy are puffing towards Tidmouth Town Hall, laughing]
Thomas and Percy: (laughing)
Thomas: Turns out the footprints were made by a dinosaur too. They left their shape in the rock, just like the fossil bones.
Percy: So the monster was really a dinosaur a long, long time ago!
Rubble: I wonder where are the bones, anyway?
Zuma: Why don't you see for yourself?
Percy: Wow!
[Percy look to see a complete skeleton of a Megalosaurus standing in front of the town hall. A crowd of people gathered around Sir Topham Hatt including Sir Robert Norramby, the Earl of Sodor]
Sir Robert Norramby: A perfect specimen of a Megalosaurus. How marvelous.
[James puff up behind Percy and when he saw the skeleton, he grins impressively at it. Everyone listens as Sir Topham Hatt make an announcement]
Sir Topham Hatt: Ladies and gentleman, engines and coaches, it is with great pleasure that I come here today to celebrate a brave little engine.
Emily: (puffing up) Thomas! Percy! Gator is leaving.
Percy: What?
Zuma: I thought he's already gone.
Thomas: Well, no. His ship got delayed again.
Rubble: There was a bit of a hold up, you see.
Sir Topham Hatt: And that is why Percy is not just Really Useful fossil hunters, but the bravest engine on the island of..... (saw that Percy's gone) Uh, er, fizzling fireboxes! Where he's gone now?
[He looks at Thomas who smiles as realizing where Percy is going to. Workman are repairing Cranky's arm at Brendam Docks]
Workman: Won't be long now, Cranky. You all right?
Cranky: I'm fine, I'm fine!
[On the ground, Gator is being lifted up into the air by Big Mickey]
Gator: OK. We're going to go up now. Up in the air.....
[Percy puff into the docks]
Percy: Gator! Gator!
Gator: Oh, Percy! I didn't think you were going to make it!
Percy: Neither did I. But I wanted to say goodbye and to thank you.
Gator: Thank me? For what?
Percy: For being a good friend. And for helping me learn that I can be brave.
Gator: You helped me too, Percy! Having seen how brave you've been, well, I think I'm ready for the highest of high bridges now! But I'II miss you!
Percy: I'll miss you too! Have a safe journey!
Gator: (laughs) I will! Goodbye, Percy! Goodbye, guys!
[He was lower onto the ship. Percy felt sad at once]
Percy: Goodbye, Gator!
[The ship leaves the docks]
Workers: Goodbye, Gator. Safe journey.
[Thomas, James and the pups arrived]
Thomas: Goodbye, Gator.
James: Goodbye.
PAW Patrol: Bye, Gator.
Thomas: Goodbye, Gator.
Rubble: We're gonna miss you.
Percy: (sighs) I guess you have to be brave to say goodbye to someone too.
James: That sounds very wise, Percy.
Rubble: Did Gator tell you that?
Percy: No, I thought of it all by myself.
Thomas: Then I guess you must be wise now too, Percy. As well as brave!
Zuma: Very brave! I was amazed by what you did at the Clay Pits.
Percy: I rushed to the rescue! (laughs)
Thomas: I know!
Narrator: Percy was sad to say goodbye to his new friend, but he was happy that he still had his old friends beside him, even Rubble and Zuma.
[The camera moves up to the ocean where Gator's ship sails as the words The End appears. The song Our Tale of the Brave plays over the credits]
