This is the episode transcript of The Princess and the Pea.
Intro[]
{We now see Whyatt and Pooh by a big red book with a picture of a blue book in a green rectangle}
- Whyatt Beanstalk: {To the audience} Hi, it's us.
- Pooh: Winnie the Pooh.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: And me, Whyatt.
- Pooh: Last time, we all found out that it is important to take turns when you have different games.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: Good thing it solved Pea’s problem.
- Pooh: {To the audience} Ready to see what our sixteenth reading adventure will be like?
- Whyatt Beanstalk: {To the audience} Super!
- Pooh: Now let's see what book is it this time.
{Pooh opens the books and they see what the sixteenth fairytale is}
- Whyatt Beanstalk: Oh, wow! Look, it's The Princess and the Pea.
- Pooh: Yeah, the one about a princess sleeping on lots of mattresses and a pokey pea. Hey, wait a sec. Why does that story sound familiar?
- Whyatt Beanstalk: Yeah.
- Pooh: Unless, this must be Princess Pea's story.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: It is. In this story, we'll build the alphabet.
- Pooh: By fixing the alphabet ladder.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: Rhyme with “ink” words.
- Pooh: Like “sink” and “drink”.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: And use the power to read to change the story.
- Pooh: By changing the sentence “The Princess sleeps on the pea”.
- Whyatt Beanstalk and Pooh: Let's go!
The Princess and the Pea[]
{We now see Deedee, Rooney, and Moe by the real life library}
- Moe: Wow! Check out these books!
- Rooney: Seems like these books have been made for people.
- Deedee: Especially fairytales. I love fairytales!
{As they were looking at books, Moe noticed something, which was Whyatt, Big Bird, and Piglet in the bookshelf}
- Moe: Uh, guys?
- Rooney: Not now, Moe. Get a load of this Boy Who Cried Wolf story.
- Deedee: Yeah, and this Frog Prince Story.
- Rooney: Hansel and Gretel story, Humpty Dumpty story, and Jack and the Beanstalk story.
- Deedee: Hmm, I wonder why they all say "Helped by Super Readers".
- Moe: Guys! Look!
{They soon see Whyatt, Big Bird, and Piglet}
- Deedee: Whoa!
- Rooney: Piglet and Big Bird?
- Moe: How do you two became the same size as that boy?
- Whyatt Beanstalk: With a little bit of magic.
{Whyatt does the same snap, and the Doodlebops were the same size as the three}
- Moe: Wow! This is amazing!
- Rooney: Now, we are the same size as you three.
- Big Bird: Oh, Doodlebops, this is a new friend we met.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: {To the audience and Doodlebops} Hi, so glad you're here.
- Deedee: Um, who are you?
- Whyatt Beanstalk: My name's Whyatt. What are your names?
- Deedee: I'm Deedee Doodle.
- Rooney: I'm Rooney Doodle.
- Moe: And I'm Moe Doodle.
- Deedee, Rooney, and Moe: And we're the Doodlebops!
- Piglet: Well, if you like Whyatt, you will love this place. Follow us.
{They let the Doodlebops follow them to Storybook Village}
- Moe: Whoa!
- Rooney: What a strange place.
- Deedee: Hmm, what is this place?
- Big Bird: Whyatt told us that this is Storybook Village.
- Piglet: This is where all our fairytale friends live.
{Computer ringing}
- Rooney: Hey, what's that sound?
- Piglet: It's just Whyatt's computer phone.
- Big Bird: He uses it to figure out what's happening.
- Moe: Really? When I want someone to call, I just {Shouts and echoes} SHOUT REALLY LOUD!
- Deedee: And he still does.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: Oh no!
- Piglet: What's the matter, Whyatt?
{Whyatt shows Big Bird, Piglet, and the Doodlebops a picture of Princess Pea feeling worried}
- Moe: Hey, is that a princess?
- Big Bird: Oh, that's a friend of Whyatt.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: Yeah. Looks like Princess Pea needs help.
- Rooney: Wait. You mean, the girl that sleeps on a pea on a lot of mattresses?
- Deedee: Can we go see her?
- Big Bird: Why, sure.
- Piglet: Our other friends are here too.
- Deedee: Well then, come on!
{They all went down the path}
- Whyatt Beanstalk: {To the audience} Come on!
{They soon past Tigger, Cookie Monster, and Red playing a virtual reality video game}
- Deedee: Whoa! Are they playing a video game?
- Moe: Wow!
- Tigger: Oh, hey there Doodlebops!
- Cookie Monster: Me, Tigger, and Red are playing Virtual Fairytale Rescue.
- Red: Yeah, and it makes us feel so smart.
- Rooney: Yeah, kinda like how reading a book can help you learn some facts.
- Big Bird: This way, Rooney!
- Rooney: Sorry. Enjoy the video game!
{They soon went to a little fair where most of the heroes and fairytale friends are doing activities}
- Moe: Wow! Look at all those fairytale friends.
- Rooney: Wow, Whyatt's right.
- Deedee: Yeah, I mean, they are good friends.
{They soon see Princess Pea by her mom/queen}
- Big Bird: Look, there she is!
- Deedee: {Gasps} It's the queen!
- Moe: Deedee, you know something?
- Deedee: What?
- Moe: I think that queen is Pea's mom.
- Queen Pea: Oh, Princess Pea. My little girl is going to be a junior princess.
- Princess Pea: Not yet, Mom. First I have to pass my test.
- Moe: A test?
- Rooney: Shh!
- Queen Pea: I did very well on my test. And I you will too.
- Piglet: I wish her the best of luck.
{Queen Pea leaves}
- Princess Pea: {Sighs}
- Whyatt Beanstalk: Hi, Princess Pea.
- Big Bird: Hi, friend.
- Moe: Is something the matter?
- Princess Pea: Oh, guys. I need to solve this very big puzzle, then I will pass my test and I will pass my test and become a junior princess. And I'll get my very own golden crown.
{They see the crown}
- Whyatt Beanstalk: Wow! Awesome looking crown!
- Rooney: Wow, very shiny!
- Princess Pea: I know. It's beautiful. But what will I do? I'm afraid I won't solve the puzzle and pass my test.
- Moe: Guys, this is awful!
- Deedee: Pea, why don't you, um, hmm. Whyatt, how does a person solve a very hard problem, like a puzzle?
- Whyatt Beanstalk: This sounds like a super big problem.
- Piglet: And super big problems like that, call for us.
- Big Bird: The Super Readers!
- Rooney: Hmm. Super Readers?
- Moe: Hey, that was written on some of those books we saw.
- Piglet: Yeah, they are kinda like superheroes.
- Deedee: Hey, can we be Super Readers too?
- Big Bird: Sure you can, but first.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: We need to call the rest of the Super Readers. {To the audience} Call them with me. Say "Calling all Super Readers!"
- Young Kids and Pooh's team: Calling all Super Readers!
- Whyatt Beanstalk: To the Book Club! {Echoes}
- Young Kids and Pooh's team: To the Book Club!
- Whyatt Beanstalk: Come on!
- Deedee: Hmm, let's see what this Book Club is like.
- Moe: I bet it will have lots of books!
{Soon, they came down the path to the Book Club}
- Whyatt Beanstalk: Whyatt here.
- Pooh: Pooh and team present.
{Pig rides on a trike}
- Pig: P is for Pig.
{Red comes rolling by}
- Red: Red Riding Hood, rolling in.
{Princess Pea comes out from a carriage}
- Princess Pea: Princess Pea, at your service.
{Soon, all the members came}
- Big Bird: {To the audience} And your name, please? {They listen to the audience's names}
- Piglet: Good.
- Pooh: Now then, newbies. State your names.
- Deedee: I'm Deedee Doodle.
- Rooney: I'm Rooney Doodle.
- Moe: I'm Moe Doodle.
- Deedee, Rooney, and Moe: And we're the Doodlebops!
- Piglet: Great, now we are all here.
- Big Bird: And together, we will solve Princess Pea's problem.
- Alphablock G: Let's go inside!
{They all went inside the Book Club}
- Deedee: Wow!
- Rooney: This place has lots of books!
- Moe: Even bigger ones than my drums!
{Grover puts the computer by the big computer where the picture of the problem is shown}
- Rarity: Now, this is the part where the person tells us their problem.
- Grover: Okay then, Princess Pea. State out your problem.
- Princess Pea: I have to solve a very pig puzzle so i can pass my princess test, but i'm worried i won't be able to do.
- Elmo: Oh no.
- Ernie and Bert: Oh dear.
- Deedee: Definitely not cool.
- Princess Pea: What should i do to pass my test?
- Whyatt Beanstalk: Good question.
- Alphablock A: And in order to have a question, we all have to look...
- The heroes (Except Deedee, Rooney, and Moe), the Alphablocks, Whyatt Beanstalk, Princess Pea, Red, and Pig: In a book!
- Rooney: Oh yeah, like the books we saw from the real library.
- Pig: Right. But, which book should we look in?
- Shining Armor: Perhaps it has to have someone trying to pass a test.
- Princess Pea: Peas and carrots, carrots and peas. Book come out, please please please.
{A yellow and green book came down floating}
- Deedee: Whoa! That was so cool!
- Moe: Yeah, it floated down all by itself.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: Let's read the title of this book. {Reads} The Princess and the Pea.
- Tigger: Say, doesn't that name sound familar?
- Princess Pea: {Gasps} I know this book!
- Rooney: Oh, yeah. It sounds like your name.
- Deedee: Is the princess you?
- Princess Pea: No, but better. It has my mom and dad in it. My mother is the princess in the story.
- Moe: That is awesome!
- Applejack: And here is the catch. We all have to jump into the book.
- Rarity: And then, we can find the answer to Princess Pea's question.
- Sunburst: But first, we look for the super letters.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: And then put them in...our Super Duper...computer!
- Rooney: Interesting device on what it does, apart from using as a phone.
- Babs Seed: Well, Super Duper Computer.
- Diamond Tiara: Can you tell us how many super letters should we find in this one?
{The computer shows 5 blanks}
- Pinkie Pie: Hmm, this story says that we should find 5 super letters.
- Moe: So then, what happens when we get all the letters?
- Silver Spoon: Well, once we do that, we will get...our Super Story Answer!
{The logo is shown}
- Pooh: Okay, time for us to transform.
- Trixie Lulamoon: But first, we have to figure which captain each Doodlebop member wants to go in?
- Rooney: Well, i do love looking up things in books, and that is like reading, so i will go with Whyatt.
- Deedee: Well, rhyming is perfect when i sing, so i will go with Red.
- Moe: Gee, um, i do love spelling my name. M, O, E. So i will go with Princess Pea.
- Grover: Okay then. Is everyone ready?
- The heroes, the Alphablocks, Whyatt Beanstalk, Princess Pea, Red, and Pig: Ready!

- Princess Presto: We're in the Princess and the Pea book.
- Tigger: We're so glad we're in your book, Princess Presto.
- Diamond Tiara: I think I see the castle.
{As some of the members saw a castle, Super Why goes to the first sentence}
- Super Why: Let's read.
- Twilight Sparkle: And I will read with you.
- Super Why: Why-writer, highlight.
- Twilight Sparkle: {To the audience} Read with me. {Reads} A prince wanted to marry a princess.
- Prince: Marry me, Princess.
- Princess: {Giggles}
{Super Why came to the next sentence}
- Shining Armor: That’s just like how I married Cadence.
- Twilight Sparkle: {Reads} First, the princess had to pass a test.
- Queen: We must give her a test.
- Princess: Oh, alright.
{The queen was in the second sentence while Super Why went to the third sentence}
- Rooney: When did I hear that test word familiar?
- Twilight Sparkle: {Reads} The princess was worried that she would not pass her test?
- Princess: What if I don't pass my test?
- Big Bird: Hey, the real Princess Pea has the same problem as her.
- Twilight Sparkle: And that, Super Readers, is why we are in this book. Both princesses are worried about passing a test.
- Princess Presto: Let's find out what she does about passing her test.
- The Cutie Mark Crusaders: To the castle we go!
{They went inside the castle}
- Rooney: Look, there's the princess!
- Moe: And the prince!
- Deedee: And their mom, the queen.
{They hid by a pillar to hear them}
- Queen: Now, listen carefully. For your test, you must sleep on these 26 mattresses all night long.
- Elmo: {Whistles} Wow.
- Princess: Sleep on these 26 mattresses? Alright, i'll go put on my pajamas.
{As the princess left to go get her pajamas, the Super Readers and heroes came to them}
- Babs Seed: Good evening, your majesty.
- Diamond Tiara: We are the Super Readers.
- Silver Spoon: And we have to tell you something.
- Grover: What kind of test are you making the princess do
{The queen takes something from under the mattresses}
- Queen: Well, i will place this teeny tiny pea under these 26 mattresses.
{The queen puts the pea under the mattresses}
- Rabbit: Seriously?
- Queen: Yes. The princess should feel very uncomfortable. And if she does, she'll pass the test.
- Cookie Monster: And then, she'll get married.
- Queen: Right. With the prince.
- Moe: {In thought} Wouldn't that be like, cheating?
{The princess came back in her pajamas}
- Princess: Oh, hello there.
- Eeyore: Hello, Princess.
- Twilight Sparkle: You better need some shuteye, Princess.

- Princess: Oh dear.
- Fluttershy: Whatever is the matter, Princess?
- Princess: I can't seem to get on top of the mattresses.
- Applejack: As Princess Pea always says, oh my peas!
- Sunburst: Then that means, she cannot pass her test.
- Bert: What will we do?
- Alpha Pig: Alpha Pig to the rescue!
- Big Bird: Let's do this!
- Scootaloo: With our amazing alphabet tools, we can build something to get you to the top, Princess.

{Alpha Pig bangs some wood and makes a Q appear}
- Big Bird: We are getting close to the top.
- Scootaloo: Q, R, S, T, U.
- Rabbit: {To the audience} Can you guess what the letter comes after U is?
- Young Kids: V!
- Alphablock V: Victory for you!
- Diamond Tiara: Now, let's make the V.
{Alpha Pig bangs some wood and makes a V appear}
- Tigger: And now, to the top!
- Big Bird: V, W, X, Y, and Z.
{Soon, they were at the top}
- Scootaloo: Well, lickety letters!
- Big Bird: We fixed the ladder and now the princess can go up the top.
- Alpha Pig: Let's give ourselves...a big thumbs up!
{They gave a thumbs up to the audience}
- Scootaloo: Let's go down now.
- Tigger: And one at a time.
{One by one, Alpha Pig's team came down}
- Alphablock H: Here you go, Princess.
{As the princess went up to the top, an M and T came out of the mattresses}
- Ernie: Look! I see super letters!
- Pooh: {To the audience and Ernie} You see our first super letters?
- Ernie: Yeah, and it seemed like they loved the mattresses as much as she does. {Laughs}
- Super Why: {To the audience} Which letters did you find?
- Young Kids: M! T!
- Alphablock M: Magnificent finding!
- Alphablock T: What tremendous tracking.
- Pooh: Let's put the two into the Super Duper...
- Super Why, Pooh, Ernie, the Alphablocks, and Young Kids: Computer!
{The M and T go into the message}
- Pooh: There were 5 blanks and two had letters.
- Super Why: Three more super letters.
- Ernie: And soon, we will get our Super Story Answer.
- Rainbow Dash: Now, Princess. If you get plenty of rest, you will be snoozing in Dreamland before you know it.
- Princess: Uh oh.
- Moe: Something's wrong already?
- Rooney: Did you feel something in the bed?
- Princess: No. I just become very thirsty.
- Alphablock G: Gosh.
- Kanga: Yeah, and you are way up high.
{The princess was way up high}
- Rarity: Oh my stars!
- Elmo: What can we do to help her not get thirsty?
- Wonder Red: Wonder Red to the rescue!
- Grover: Alright then.
- Apple Bloom: Just follow our lead, Deedee.
- Applejack: With Red's wonder word basket, we can give the princess something for her drink.
- Big McIntosh: Eeyup!
{They came up to a word that ends with an ''ink'' ending}
- Fluttershy: Let's try this word.
- Deedee: {To the audience} Do you know what this letter is?
- Young Kids: S!
- Alphablock S: Super!
- Applejack: {To the audience} Do you know what this letter sounds like?
- Young Kids: Ssss.
- Deedee: Yeah, like a snake.
- Wonder Red: And this says ''ink''.
- Alphablock S: Sss.
- Alphablock I: Iiii.
- Alphablock N: Nnnn.
- Alphablock K: Kkkuh.
- Alphablock S, I, N, and K: Sink!
- Wonder Red: What word is this?
- Young Kids: Sink!
- Kanga: Hmm, i am not sure a sink is the answer.
- Apple Bloom: I agree. It will be too hard for her to get a drink from the sink.
- Wonder Red: Well, we all do know that sink is an ''ink'' word.
- Grover: Let us guess, you love words that end in ''ink''?
- Wonder Red: I do.
- Kanga: Seems like it is time to rhyme.
- Deedee: Oh yeah!
{They started singing the song}
- Apple Bloom: Ink, sink, drink.
- Wonder Red: Wonder-riffic, you're terrific!
- Kanga: Pink, wink, blink.
- Wonder Red: Wonder-riffic, you're terrific!
- Deedee: Ink!
{The song ends}
- Fluttershy: Hmm, let's try this word.
{Soon, another "ink" word is shown}
- Deedee: {To the audience} Can you guess what the two letters are?
- Young Kids: D! R!
- Apple Bloom: Right-o!
- Kanga: Firstly, {To the audience} What does the D sound like?
- Young Kids: Duh!
- Wonder Red: {To the audience} Yes. Duh.
- Alphablock D: Definitely.
- Babs Seed: {To the audience} Now what does the R sound like?

- Alphablock R: Right again, shipmates!
- Fluttershy: {To the audience} But, what sound do D and R make together?
- Young Kids: Dr!
- Wonder Red: Dr.
- Grover: And we know this must be the "ink".
- Wonder Red: Dr, ink.
- Kanga: Dr-ink.
- Deedee: {To the audience} Do you know what word this could be?
- Young Kids: Drink!
- Babs Seed: Right, this is the word "drink".
- Grover: Now let's see what would happen if we change this sink to a drink.
- Alphablock D: Ddduh.
- Alphablock R: Rrrr.
- Alphablock I: Iii.
- Alphablock N: Nnnn.
- Alphablock K: Kkkuh.
- Alphablock D, R, I, N, and K: Drink!
{The word "drink" turned the sink into a little cup of drinking water}
- Deedee: Good job!
- Wonder Red: Wonder-riffic, you were terrific!
- Kanga: Now that we changed the sink to a drink, it can help the princess not get thirsty anymore.
- Elmo: Don't worry, Elmo and Rainbow Dash got this.
{Elmo carries the drink while Rainbow Dash carries Elmo on her back as they flew up to the princess}
- Princess: Thank you.
- Rainbow Dash: No problem.
{The princess drinks up the drink}
- Elmo: Now you won't get thirsty anymore.
- Princess: And now {Yawns} I can go to sleep.
{As they get off the bed, an S and R appeared from on top of the bed}
- Rainbow Dash: Hey, I see some super letters.
- Pooh: {To the audience and Rainbow Dash} You see more super letters?
- Rainbow Dash: Yeah, they just came on top of the bed.
- Super Why: {To the audience} Which letters did you find?
- Young Kids: S! R!
- Alphablock S: Sweet!
- Alphablock R: Remarkable!
- Pooh: Let's put the next two into the Super Duper...
- Super Why, Pooh, Rainbow Dash, the Alphablocks, and Young Kids: Computer!
{The S and R go into the computer}
- Pooh: There were 5 blanks and only four had letters.
- Super Why: One more super letter.
- Rainbow Dash: And then, we can get the Super Story Answer.
{They then see her on the bed again}
- Cookie Monster: Well, you better get some shuteye, princess.
- Grover: And soon, you will be marrying the prince.
- Princess: Well, Super Readers, goodnight.
- Apple Bloom: {Whispers} Goodnight, Princess.
{When she tried to sleep, the princess felt something poking her}
- Princess: Ow!
- Alphablock H: Huh?
- Bert: Princess, whatever is the matter?
- Princess: There's something poking me.
- Moe: Huh, beds don't poke.
- Deedee: Try sleeping on your side.
{Princess tries to do it, but no luck}
- Princess: Ouch!
- Rooney: Or not.
- Pinkie Pie: Try sleeping with your feet standing up.
{Princess tries to do that}
- Grover: I think maybe...
- Princess: Ouch!
- Elmo: Um, maybe not.
- Tigger: Say, didn't we heard the queen saying about putting something under the bed?
- Rabbit: Let's just see what that queen did to your bed.
- Princess: I'm going to come down and find out what's poking me.
{Everyone agreed as the princess came down}
- Rabbit: So let's see what it is.
{The princess manage to find something under the bed}
- Princess: Aha! I found out what was poking me.
- Deedee: A pea?
- Shining Armor: Whoa!
- The heroes and the Super Readers: A pea?
- Rarity: {Gasps} I knew that the queen would make it very hard for her!
- Princess: Just look.
- Alphablock I: I, can't believe my i.
- Alphablock U: That is so unpleasant for the queen to do that.
- Pooh: Talk about cleverness.
- Princess: Uh-huh.
- Applejack: Well, what can you do with it, Princess?
- Princess: I simply do not wish to sleep on this pokey pea.
- Pooh: Well, Princess. You need to be smart to do that.
- Princess: Why do I have to be smart?
- Pooh: Because you should think of a way of getting rid of the pea, instead of sleeping on it.
- Princess: Well, that is good advice, but I can’t get rid of the pea. See my story?
{They see a sentence}
- Pooh: {Reads} The Princess sleeps on the pea.
- Princess: This is terrible.
- Pinkie Pie: Totally!
- Moe: Guys, what shall we do?!
- Super Why: Super Why to the rescue! With the power to read, we can change this story and save the day!
- Pooh: Come with me, Rooney!
- Rooney: Okay then, Pooh!
- Super Why: Let's change the words "sleeps on" in the sentence.
- Pooh: Ready, set.
- Rooney: And zap!
{The words "sleeps on" are zapped}
- Pooh: Now, Why Writer. Give us three choices.
{The choices were "waters", "smells", and "eats"}
- Rooney: Cool way of making choices come.
- Pooh: {To the audience} Super Readers, we need your help.
- Rooney: {To the audience} What should Princess do with the pea instead of sleeping on it?
- Super Why: "Waters", "smells", or "eats"?
- Rooney: Well, obviously smelling the pea won't work.
- Super Why: I agree.
- Pooh: Well, what about eating it?
- Rooney: Oh yeah. Once you eat the bite, it will be gone.
- Super Why: Let's try "eats".
- Pooh: {To the audience} Which is the word "eats"?
- Rooney: It has the EA "ea" sound.
- Young Kids: There!
- Super Why: There it is.
{They drag the word "eats" to the sentence}
- Pooh: Now let's zap "eats" to the sentence.
- Rooney: Here we go. Ready, set, zap!
{The word "eats" is in the sentence}
- Rooney: Now let's read and see what happens.
- Super Why, Pooh, and Rooney: {Reads} The princess eats the pea.
- Alphablock E and A: Ea.
- Alphablock T: Ttuh.
- Alphablock S: Ssss.
