This is the episode transcript of The Ugly Duckling.
Intro[]
{The intro starts with Whyatt and Pooh by a red book with a picture of a blue book surrounded in green}
- Pooh: {To the audience} Hi again! It's us.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: {To the audience} Whyatt.
- Pooh: {To the audience} And me, Winnie the Pooh, but Pooh for short. Last time, we learned all about how teamwork makes the dream work.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: Luckily, that helped out with Pea.
- Pooh: {To the audience} You ready to see what storybook adventure number 9 will be like?
- Whyatt Beanstalk: {To the audience} Super!
- Pooh: Now let's see what the story is this time.
{Pooh opens the book and shows the ninth fairytale and what will happen in the book}
- Whyatt Beanstalk: Look, it's the Ugly Duckling.
- Pooh: Yeah, the one where a little yellow duck wants to learn how to swim like the other ducks.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: In this story, we'll learn the alphabet.
- Pooh: By making the word ''duck''.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: Practice the magic of spelling.
- Pooh: By spelling out the word ''kick''.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: And use the power to read to change the story.
- Pooh: By changing the sentence "The duck floats, kicks, and quits".
- Whyatt Beanstalk and Pooh: Let's go!
The Ugly Duckling[]
{The scene zooms into the library as Christopher Robin, the Cutie Mark Crusaders (Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle) and Starlight Glimmer come by}
- Christopher Robin: Hmm, Pooh must be around here somewhere. Right guys?
- Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, and Starlight Glimmer: (in unison) Yes.
{As they look around, Whyatt, Applejack, Big McIntosh, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Winnie the Pooh pop out from behind a book in front of the two giant books}
- Whyatt Beanstalk: (to the audience) Hi! So glad you're here! It's us, Whyatt.
- Rarity: {To the audience} Me, Rarity.
- Pinkie Pie: {To the audience} Pinkie!
- Applejack: {To the audience} Applejack! And my brother, Big McIntosh!
- Big McIntosh: Eeyup!
- Pooh: {To the audience} And Pooh, Winnie the Pooh.
- Christopher Robin: {Gasp} I recognize those voices.
{The team saw Christopher Robin, Scootaloo, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Starlight Glimmer}
- Pooh: Christopher Robin!
- Apple Bloom: Sister! Brother!
- Scootaloo: Pinkie!
- Starlight Glimmer: Pooh Bear!
- Sweetie Belle: Big sister!
- Whyatt Beanstalk: Um, Pooh. Who are they?
- Pooh: Oh, this is my friend, Christopher Robin.
- Applejack: That's Apple Bloom, the sister of me and Big Mac!
- Big McIntosh: Eeyup!
- Rarity: My sister Sweetie Belle.
- Pinkie Pie: That's Scootaloo! And that's Starlight Glimmer.
- Big McIntosh: Eeyup!
- Pooh: But why are you guys here?
- Christopher Robin: We wanted to know about those storybook gems.
- Scootaloo: And what you do in this magic place.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: Well, come on.
{Whyatt snaps his fingers and the new members were the same size as them}
- Applejack: Come with me, sis. You are going to love this place.
{Pooh presses the door and out they went to the place known as Storybook Village}
- Cutie Mark Crusaders: Wow!
- Sweetie Belle: Cool place!
- Christopher Robin: I really do love it.
- Starlight Glimmer: But, what is this place?
- Pinkie Pie: We welcome you to Storybook Village.
- Pooh: All of your favorite fairytale characters live here.
{Soon, they heard a beeping sound}
- Scootaloo: Um, what's that sound?
- Applejack: Oh, that's the sound of Whyatt's computer like phone.
- Sweetie Belle: Really? What does it do?
- Rarity: Well, this contraption helps out what is happening today.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: {In worry} Oh look.
- Pooh: Oh my.
- Christopher Robin: What is it?
{They showed the old members and new members Princess Pea on the floor}
- Scootaloo: Oooh, it's a princess!
- Pooh: That's our new friend Princess Pea.
- Sweetie Belle: Like, the one about the girl that slept on a lot of mattresses?
- Christopher Robin: I think she looks upset.
- Rarity: You're right.
- Pinkie Pie: We better go see what's wrong.
- Applejack: Follow us, members.
{The new members followed them as they went down the path}
- Whyatt Beanstalk: {To the audience} Come on.
{On their way, they saw Jack, Twilight Sparkle, and Rabbit}
- Rabbit: Christopher Robin?!
- Twilight Sparkle: Cutie Mark Crusaders?! And Starlight?! What a surprise!
- Pooh: You see? That really surprises you.
- Christopher Robin: Guys, who is that person with them?
- Rarity: That's Jack, Whyatt's brother, from the story Jack and the Beanstalk.
- Rabbit: We were going to do some book carrying.
- Twilight Sparkle: And we kept on trying.
- Scootaloo: We were off to see Princess Pea.
- Rabbit: She's in that dance studio.
{They came to her, where Rainbow Dash was with her}
- Scootaloo: Look, Rainbow Dash is with her.
- Rarity: But why could she be with Princess Pea?
{Everyone and Whyatt shrugged}
- Princess Pea: So, what is this about Whyatt?
- Rainbow Dash: Well, I am thinking about the way how he changed that beanstalk story.
- Princess Pea: So you admit that you let Whyatt help that giant while that happened?
- Rainbow Dash: No, we were working together, but he did ignore me!
- Princess Pea: Why would he do that?
- Rainbow Dash: Maybe because he doesn't know.
- Princess Pea: So you're saying that he created a wedge between you to make that giant angry?
- Rainbow Dash: Yes.
- Princess Pea: A wedge of what? Cheese?
- Rainbow Dash: Well, put it this way, I was about to tell my idea of making the giant tired to Whyatt about the sentence, but somehow, he just thought of his own ideas instead of listening to me.
{This made Pea stood up}
- Princess Pea: Now that, I understood. Don't worry, your secret is safe with me.
- Rainbow Dash: Good.
{Princess Pea gets up and sighs}
- Pooh: Um, Princess Pea.
- Scootaloo: Hi there.
- Christopher Robin: Um, my name's Christopher Robin.
- Starlight Glimmer: Save the introductions for later, you two.
- Apple Bloom: Right now, she has a problem.
- Rainbow Dash: Yes, she does.
- Pinkie Pie: So, what's wrong?
- Princess Pea: Oh guys, I'm upset.
- Rainbow Dash: She is trying to do a twirl, but it didn't seem like a princess twirl.
- Princess Pea: Yeah, just watch.
- Fluttershy: Okay, girls. Now step, kick, spin.
{The two girls spun perfect, but Princess Pea fell}
- Pooh: Ooh. I can see why.
- Sweetie Belle: You just keep falling. Not cool.
- Applejack: Try again.
- Fluttershy: Okay, girls. One more try.
{Princess Pea gets back up}
- Fluttershy: Step, kick, spin.
- Princess Pea: Whoa! Oof!
{Princesss Pea fell again}
- Rarity: Oh my stars.
- Princess Pea: I really really want to twirl for my princess dance show.
- Pinkie Pie: Yeah, that is not good.
- Princess Pea: How i am going to learn to twirl?
- Christopher Robin: Um, perhaps you need to, hmm, what should you do if you really want to do something, but you can't?
- Pooh: Hmm, beats me.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: This sounds like a super big problem.
- Pinkie Pie: And super big problems need us. The Super Readers!
- Whyatt Beanstalk: Right, Pinkie.
- Christopher Robin: The Super Readers?
- Scootaloo: Um, what are super readers?
- Starlight Glimmer: Are they like heroes?
- Rarity: Well, yes. They are superheroes that go into books.
- Apple Bloom: Can we be Super Readers too?
- Applejack: Sure you can, sis.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: But first, we need to call the rest of the Super Readers.
- Pooh: Let's do the thing with You.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: {To the audience} Say, ''Calling all Super Readers!''
- Young Kids and Pooh's team: Calling all Super Readers!
- Whyatt Beanstalk: To the Book Club! {Echoes}
- Young Kids and Pooh's team: To the Book Club!
- Scootaloo: So, is the Book Club a place or a club?
- Pooh: It's both.
- Applejack: Come with us, to the Book Club!
- Christopher Robin: This will be fun!
{They ran up to the Book Club}
- Whyatt Beanstalk: Whyatt here.
- Pooh: Pooh and team present.
{Pig rides on a tricycle}
- Pig: P is for Pig.
{Red comes rolling by}
- Red: Red Riding Hood, rolling in.
{Princess Pea comes down from a carriage}
- Princess Pea: Princess Pea, at your service.
{Soon, the gang came in}
- Piglet: {To the audience} And don't forget about you. You say your name to the team. {They all listen to the audience's names}
- Pooh: Now, newbies, say your names.
- Christopher Robin: My name's Christopher Robin.
- Starlight Glimmer: My name’s Starlight Glimmer!
- Scootaloo: Name's Scootaloo.
- Sweetie Belle: And I'm Sweetie Belle.
- Apple Bloom: Apple Bloom.
- Cutie Mark Crusaders: And we are the Cutie Mark Crusaders!
- Rarity: Good. We are all here.
- Applejack: Together, we will solve Princess Pea's problem.
- Alphablock F: Follow us as we go inside the book club.
{They went inside the club as Twilight puts the computer by a big computer and a picture comes on screen}
- Twilight Sparkle: Now then, Princess Pea. Please state your problem.
- Princess Pea: I want to twirl. but i can't. I keep falling down.
- Rabbit: Whoa!
- Alphablock U: Uh oh.
- Alphablock Y: Yikes!
- Shining Armor: That is so not cool.
- Pig: Not good. Not good at all.
- Fluttershy: Never knew that could be bad.
- Princess Pea: How can i learn to twirl for my big dance show?
- Twilight Sparkle: What a very nice question, Princess Pea.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: When we have a question, we look...
- The heroes (Except Christopher Robin and the Cutie Mark Crusaders), the Alphablocks, Whyatt Beanstalk, Princess Pea, Red, and Pig: In a book!
- Scootaloo: Like, a special book involving the problem?
- Pig: Yes. Mostly fairytales. But, which book should we look in?
- Rabbit: Well, i think it should be about someone trying to do something, but can't.
- Princess Pea: Peas and carrots, carrots and peas, book come out, please, please, please.
{A light blue book comes floating down to the bottom}
- Scootaloo: Whoa! That is some cool floating effect.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: Let's read the title of this book. {Reads} The Ugly Duckling.
- Rabbit: And newbies, this is what we do. All we have to do is to jump into the book, and found the answer to Princess Pea's question.
- Eeyore: First, we look for the super letters.
- Cutie Mark Crusaders: Sounds super to me!
- Alphablock C: And then we can put them in our Super Duper Computer.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: Super Duper Computer, how many super letters do we need?
- Scootaloo: Yeah, how many?
{The computer shows 10 blanks}
- Rainbow Dash: Interesting. We need to find 10 blanks in this story.
- Whyatt Beanstalk: And then, we'll get...our Super Story Answer!
{The logo is shown}
- Christopher Robin: So what do we do now?
- Tigger: Well then, time for us to transform into Super Readers.
- Pooh: Cutie Mark Crusaders, Starlight Glimmer and Christopher Robin, since you guys are new, you can take your pick. Alphabet power with Pig, rhyming power with Red, spelling power with Princess Pea, or reading power with Whyatt?
- Christopher Robin: I will go with Whyatt.

- Tigger: Well, if you like that, you will love this.
- Pooh: Why-flyers, let us fly into the book!
{They flew into the book as the musical narrator started singing}
- Musical Narrator: {Singing} Super Readers, to the rescue! It's time to fly! We're the Super Readers, 'cause we got a problem to solve. Super Readers, to the rescue! Super Readers, working together with powers to read! {They go into Ugly Duckling land} Into books we fly, to find the Super Story Answer with Super Why! Super Readers, to the rescue!
{They soon got off the flyers}
- Princess Presto: Presto!
- Scootaloo: Now that was amazing!
- Applejack: Well, that was some good book transportation.
- Princess Presto: We're in the Ugly Duckling book.
- Pinkie Pie: Hmm, i wonder just how that duckling is ugly. I don't think he sounds ugly.
{Super Why goes to the first sentence of the story}
- Super Why: Let's read.
- Shining Armor: And i will do it with you.
- Super Why: Why writer, highlight.
- Shining Armor: {To the audience} And now, you read with me. {Reads} Once there was a duck.
- Duckling: Quack, quack, quack.
{The duckling quacks three times while Super Why goes to the next sentence}
- Rarity: Oh my stars, he isn't ugly.
- Fluttershy: No, he is adorable.
- Shining Armor: {Reads} The duck really wanted to swim.
- Duckling: I really want to swim.
{The duck was by the pond while Super Why goes to the last sentence}
- Twilight Sparkle: Hmm, first time. Interesting.
- Tigger: Yeah, it is a first.
- Shining Armor: {Reads} The duck could not swim.
- Duckling: {Sadly} I can't swim.
- Applejack: Poor duckling.
- Tigger: That duckling cannot swim.
- Pooh: That is like how Princess Pea can't twirl.
- Shining Armor: And that Super Readers is why we are in this book. Both Princess Pea and the duckling both want to do something, but they can't.
- Alphablock G: We gotta find that duckling.
- Wonder Red: Yeah, and find out how he wants to swim.
{Soon, they search round the pondweeds and bushes}
- Super Why: I wonder where that little duck went.
- Pooh: Well, we did saw him on the story.
- Tigger: And maybe he is in the pond.
{Tigger dunks his head in the water and searches}
- Tigger: Nope.
- Alphablock D: Ducky?
- Scootaloo: Where are you, Duckling?
- Fluttershy: Any ducks around?
- Rarity: Duckling?
- Cutie Mark Crusaders: Here, ducky, ducky, ducky!
- Pinkie Pie: Hmm, i will use this.
{Pinkie blows a duck whistle}
- Twilight Sparkle: Pinkie?
- Pinkie Pie: What is it?
- Alpha Pig: What is that on your hand?
- Pinkie Pie: Oh, it is just a whistle blow-y thingy.
- Pooh: No, Pinkie. That's a duck whistle.
- Rarity: And you gave us an idea.
- Pinkie Pie: What?
- Shining Armor: If we quack like the duck whistle, maybe it will make the duckling come.
- Pinkie Pie: Well, who would've thought that a good item that helps you think can really think of something so good?
- Alphablock Q: {To the audience} We could use your help. When we say ''quack'', you and all of us will quack and maybe it will work.
- Super Why: {To the audience} Ready, Super You?
- Alphablock Q and U: Qu.
- Alphablock A: Aaah.
- Alphablock C and K: Ck.
- Alphablock Q, U, A, C, and K: Quack!
- The heroes, the Alphablocks, Young Kids, Super Why, Princess Presto, Wonder Red, and Alpha Pig: {Imitates duck quacking}
{They tried, but the duckling was still nowhere to be found}
- Alphablock D: Disappointed.
- Pooh: {To the audience} Well, thanks for trying.
- Eeyore: Well, we can hear the duckling, but we don't see her.
- Applejack: Great Duck Uglies!
- Princess Presto: How are we ever going to find that little duck?
- Alpha Pig: Alpha Pig to the rescue!
- Scootaloo: Oh boy! My first time!
- Tigger: Yep!
- Rabbit: With our amazing alphabet tools, we can build the word ''duck''.
- Scootaloo: And that way, we can find the duckling.
- Tigger: Now, Scootaloo. Try to follow our lead.
- Alpha Pig: {To the audience} I need you to help me sing the alphabet.
- Tigger: {To the audience} A, B, C, sing with us, that's we.
- Scootaloo: And a 1, 2, 3.
- Alpha Pig: A, B, C, D.
- Tigger: E, F, G.
- Rabbit: H, I, J, K.
- Scootaloo: L, M, N, O, P.
- Alpha Pig and Tigger: Q, R, S.
- Rabbit and Scootaloo: Don't forget the T, U, V.
- Alpha Pig, Tigger, Rabbit, and Scootaloo: W, X, Y, and Z. Sing with me.
- Alpha Pig: {To the audience} Amazing alphabet singing.
- Tigger: Good job, Scoot.
- Scootaloo: Thanks.
- Rabbit: Now then, we need to find the letters for the word ''duck''.
- Alpha Pig: {To the audience} First we need the letter D. Where is the letter D?
- Young Kids: There!
- Scootaloo: There's the D!
- Alphablock D: Delightful!
{When the D was by the pondweed, they heard the duckling quack}
- Tigger: What's that?
- Alphablock D: That duck is definitely here.
- Rabbit: {To the audience} Next, we need a U. Where is the U?
- Young Kids: Right there!
- Alpha Pig: There's the U.
{The U made the duckling quack again}
- Alphablock U: Unbelievable!
- Scootaloo: It is still working!
- Tigger: {To the audience} Third off, we need a C. Can you show us where the C is?
- Young Kids: Over there!
- Rabbit: Yes, you found the C!
{The C made the duckling quack as well}
- Alphablock C: Cool!
- Alphablock U: Only one letter left to make this unique word.
- Scootaloo: Right, U. {To the audience} It is the letter K we have to find. Do you know where the K is?
- Young Kids: There!
- Tigger: Good job! You got the K!
{It made the duckling pop out and back in the bush}
- Alphablock K: I kindly heard that.
- Tigger: And now we have...
- Alpha Pig: D, U, C, K.
- Alphablock D: Ddduh.
- Alphablock U: Uhhh.
- Alphablock C and K: Ck.
- Alphablock D, U, C, and K: Duck!
- Duckling: Quack!
{The duckling came out of the bush}
- Scootaloo: Alright! We made the duckling appear!
- Alpha Pig: Lickety letters!
- Rabbit: We made the word ''duck''.
- Tigger: And now, we can talk to him now.
- Alpha Pig: {To the audience} Let's give ourselves a big thumbs up.
{The three and even Scootaloo gave a thumbs up to the audience}
- Duckling: {Sighs}
- Pooh: Hello, Duckling.
- Super Why: We're the Super Readers.
- Duckling: Oh, nice to meet you Super Readers.
- Rarity: Duckling, we want to know. Why were you hiding in the bushes?
- Rainbow Dash: Yeah, duckling. You really scared us.
- Duckling: I'm sad because i can't swim.
- Alphablock H: On one hand, i do know that. But, on the other hand, i don't get it.
{The duckling sees some other birds at a big pond}
- Duckling: Aw, quackers. And i really want to learn so i can go to the swim party.
{At the party, the bigger ducks had party hats and one was in charge}
- Apple Bloom: Don't feel bad, Duckling.
- Scootaloo: Us Cutie Mark Crusaders feel the same way.
- Sweetie Belle: Yeah, we felt sad when we didn't have our cutie marks, but we did not gave up.
- Duckling: Well, what did you do?
- Sweetie Belle: If we tell you, it might blow off a secret answer.
- Duckling: Oh.
- Rabbit: Well, why don't we try a practice pond?
- Wonder Red: To the pond!
- Duckling: Quack, quack, quack!
{As the heroes, Super Readers, and Alphablocks went with the duckling, a K, T, and E appear from a pond bush}
- Tigger: I suppose some people have to do this. Super letters!
- Pooh: {To the audience and Tigger} Huh? You see super letters?
- Tigger: Uh huh. Right there on the pondweed.
- Super Why: {To the audience} Which letters did you find?
- Young Kids: K! E! T!
- Alphablock K: That is so kind for that.
- Alphablock E: Exactly!
- Alphablock T: Terrific!
- Pooh: Let's put the K, E, and T in our Super Duper...
- Super Why, Pooh, Tigger, the Alphablocks, and Young Kids: Computer!
{The K, E, and T go into the message}
- Pooh: There were 10 blanks and three had letters.
- Tigger: Only seven more super letters.
- Super Why: And then we'll get, our Super Story Answer.
- Pooh: Now, let's help ourselves a duck.
{They were now at the duck pond}
- Wonder Red: Time to get in the water, little duck.
- Pooh: And just do it.
- Scootaloo: Yeah, you can do this!
- Duckling: {Worried} Quackers, okay, here I go.
{The duckling jumps and goes in the water}
- Pooh: Well, good job on the first part.
- Duckling: Yeah, I'm floating.
- Super Why: That's the first step to swimming.
- Rabbit: Next you have to-
{The duckling splashes too hard}
- Alphablock U: Um, is that part of swimming?
- Alphablock I: I, I, don't know.
- Duckling: Oh, I'm splashing everywhere.
- Pooh: Yeah, that is not part of swimming.
- Twilight Sparkle: No, it's more like, well, it's not swimming.
- Duckling: Aw, quackers.
- Starlight Glimmer: Okay, what is this "quackers" thing of yours? Is that your catchphrase?
- Duckling: No, that's how I say "Aw, man".
- Christopher Robin: Guys, how are we going to let the duckling learn how to kick?
- Alpha Pig: But what?
- Princess Presto: Cue the sparkles!
- Sweetie Belle: Let's cue the music!
- Twilight Sparkle: Team Princess Presto...
- Shining Armor: To the rescue!
- Princess Presto: With our magic spelling wands, we can spell the word "kick".
- Shining Armor: And that way, he will learn the next step of swimming.
- Twilight Sparkle: Follow our lead, Belle.
- Sweetie Belle: I'll try.
- Shining Armor: {To the audience} You will help us out, right? Good!
- Twilight Sparkle: Wands up. Now spell.
- Princess Presto: {To the audience} What letter makes the sound "kkk"?
- Young Kids: K!
- Princess Presto: K! Let's write the letter K.
{When they wrote the K with their wands, it made the duckling's left leg move}
- Alphablock K: You really know how to make me, the letter K.
- Sweetie Belle: Okay we got a K. {To the audience} Can you guess what letter makes the "iii" sound?
- Young Kids: I!
- Sweetie Belle: Iy-iy-iy! {To the audience} Right! Let's write the I!
{When they wrote the I with the wands, it made the other leg move}
- Alphablock I: I, I, I think it's working.
- Twilight Sparkle: Now, we got the first two. {To the audience} What letter makes the cuh sound?
- Young Kids: C!
- Twilight Sparkle: {To the audience} Now that's correct. Write the C with us!
{They wrote the C}
- Alphablock C: That's not the only cool letter in this word.
- Shining Armor: Right! Now write another K!
{They wrote the last K as the Alphablock C and K formed together}
- Sweetie Belle: And now, we've spelled...
- Princess Presto: K, I, C, K.
- Alphablock K: Kkkk.
- Alphablock I: Iiii.
- Alphablock C and K: Ckkk!
- Alphablock K, I, and C: Kick!
- Shining Armor: Why don't you do honors, Sweetie?
- Sweetie Belle: Okay. Presto!
{The word "kick" made the duckling kicked perfectly}
- Twilight Sparkle: Way to go, Belle!
- Shining Armor: You did it!
- Princess Presto: Spectacular spelling!
- Sweetie Belle: We spell the word "kick" and now the duckling can float and kick.
- Princess Presto: Let's take a bow.
{The four took a bow with the audience}
- Shining Armor: Let's help the duck keep on kicking!
- Sweetie Belle: Watch this.
{As Sweetie kept spelling the word "kick", the duckling's kicking got better}
- Rabbit: See? You're doing it!
- Duckling: Quack, quack, quack!
- Eeyore: That's one happy duckling.
{Out in the water, an E, Y, N, and G appeared}
- Apple Bloom: Look! Super letters!
- Pooh: {To the audience and Apple Bloom} You see more super letters?
- Apple Bloom: Right on the pond!
- Super Why: {To the audience} What letters did you find?
- Young Kids: E! Y! N! G!
- Alphablock E: Exciting!
- Alphablock Y: Yahoo!
- Alphablock N: Not bad.
- Alphablock G: Goodness gracious!
- Pooh: Let's put the four letters in our Super Duper...
- Super Why, Pooh, Apple Bloom, the Alphablocks, and Young Kids: Computer!
{The E, Y, N, and G went inside the message}
- Pooh: There were 10 blanks and 7 had letters.
- Super Why: 3 more super letters.
- Apple Bloom: And then, we will all get our Super Story Answer!
- Wonder Red: On with the story!
- Alphablock F: Followed the feathered friend!
{They came to the duckling again}
- Duckling: Now that I can float and kick, I should be able to swim. Right?
- Fluttershy: Well, I don't know.
- Shining Armor: Well, you were floating and kicking, but in order to do that, you need one more step.
- Super Why: Yeah, you have to learn how to glide.
- Tigger: Yeah, picture you like gilding is like flying, but in water.
- Scootaloo: Float, kick, then glide.
- Rabbit: Now, try to do it slowly first.
- Duckling: Float, kick, then glide.
{The duckling tries, but goes too rough}
- Duckling: Aw quackers.
- Starlight Glimmer: Is this part when something usually bad happens?
- Pooh: Yes, Starlight.
- Duckling: I still can't swim.
- Eeyore: Yeah. What could get worse than this?
{The duckling gets out of the pond}
- Alphablock D: Don't despair, duck.
- Christopher Robin: Yeah, you can do this.
- Duckling: No, it's not.
- Rainbow Dash: Um, yes you can.
- Duckling: I don't want to float or kick or glide.
- Pooh: Duckling, you need-
- Duckling: I quit!
- The Super Readers: {Gasps}
- Tigger: What?!
- Piglet: What?
- Pooh: What?
- Rabbit: What?!
- Eeyore: Huh?!
- Twilight Sparkle: What?
- Pinkie Pie: WHAT?!
- Applejack: Say what now?!
- Cutie Mark Crusaders: What?!
- Fluttershy: Oh my goodness!
- Rainbow Dash: Please, Duckling. You may not be ugly, but you cannot give up!
- Duckling: Oh yes I can!
- Pooh: You don't understand, Duckling.
- Duckling: How can I be sure that I don't understand?
- Pooh: Well, if you want to do the gliding, you need to keep trying.
- Duckling: I can't.
- Rarity: Can you prove it us?
- Duckling: Sure. Look, it says so right here in my story. See?
{The sentence was by the pond}
- Pooh: {Reads} The duck floats, kicks, and quits.
- Rarity: Oh, that's the prove.
- Alpha Pig: But if he quits...
- Tigger: The little duck will never learn to swim!
- Cutie Mark Crusaders: Or go to the party!
- Pinkie Pie: Guys, this is getting real sticky here.
- Alpha Pig: What can we do?
- Super Why: Super Why, to the rescue! With the power to read, I can change the story and save the day!
- Christopher Robin: And I will help.
- Super Why: Let's change the word "quits" in this sentence.
- Christopher Robin: Okay, so we just get the writers and say "zap".
- Super Why: Right, Christopher.
- Christopher Robin: Let me try. Ready, set, zap!
{The word "quits" is zapped}
- Super Why: Why writer, write.
- Christopher Robin: Give us three choices.
{The choices are "snores", "juggles", and "glides"}
- Christopher Robin: {To the audience} We need your help, Super Readers. What word can help out the duckling to learn how to swim?
- Super Why: "Snores", "juggles", or "glides"?
- Christopher Robin: Well, we do know that it has to be something you do with your body.
- Super Why: Right?
- Christopher Robin: So, I am pretty sure "snores" is incorrect. It isn't really a good hobby for moving.
- Super Why: Okay.
- Christopher Robin: How about the word "glides"? I mean, the duckling didn't glide now.
- Super Why: But we can try.
- Christopher Robin: "Glides" it is. {To the audience} Which is the word "glides"?
- Super Why: I think it starts with a G.
- Young Kids: There!
- Christopher Robin: Here is the word "glides".
{They drag the word "glides" into the sentence}
- Super Why: Let's zap "glides" into our sentence. Ready?
- Christopher Robin: Set, and.
- Super Why and Christopher Robin: Zap!
{The word "glides" is in the sentence}
- Christopher Robin: Now let's see what happens when we read it.
- Super Why and Christopher Robin: {Reads} The duck floats, kicks, and glides.
- Alphablock G: Ggguh.
- Alphablock L: Llll.
- Alphablock I and Silent E: I.
- Alphablock D: Ddduh.
- Alphablock S: Ssss.
- Alphablock G, L, I, D, Silent E, and Alphablock S: Glides!
{The sentence made the duckling do the three steps}
- Duckling: Float, kick, glide. I'm almost swimming!
- Christopher Robin: {To the audience} Did the word "glides" helped the duckling learn how to swim?
- Young Kids: Yes!
- Christopher Robin: It sure does!
- Super Why: {To the audience} It sure does.
- Christopher Robin: {To the audience} Good job, Super Readers! We've changed the story and now the duckling won't quit.
- Pooh: And it's because he can float, he can kick, and he can glide.
- Duckling: I'm not gonna quit! I'm gonna float, kick and glide.
- Pooh: That's the spirit, Duckling! You are understanding us now.
- Duckling: Over and over and over again.
- Pooh: Um, yeah, what you said.
- Twilight Sparkle: Soon, you'll be growing up like the other ducks.
- Duckling: Oh! Speaking of others, swim party, here I come!
- Pooh: Hmm. Oh wait! Duckling!
{The yellow duckling accidentally bumps into some of the older ducks}
- Rarity: I do say, be careful, duckling!
- Pinkie Pie: Yeah, um, you are bumping the other, um, ducks.
{The duckling comes back}
- Super Why: Oh no!
- Christopher Robin: Duckling, don't take this serious, but I think you forgot to, well, {To the audience} Well, why don't you tell the duckling what he forgotten to do?
- Young Kids: Float, kick, then glide!
- Pooh: Yeah, and Duckling, I was trying to tell you something.
- Duckling: What is it?
- Pooh: Even if you forgotten the steps, all you have to do is keep trying.
- Duckling: Okay.
{The duckling got better at floating, kicking and gliding at the same time}
- Starlight Glimmer: Duckling, you're swimming!
- Scootaloo: You're doing it!
- Apple Bloom and Applejack: You did it, Duckling!
- Super Why: Keep going!
- Pooh: And trying too.
- Duckling: Look at me, I'm swimming. I'm really swimming!
- Fluttershy: And you're not bumping into the other ducks.
{The duckling avoids the other ducks}
- Duck 1: Wow, Little Duck! You're a great swimmer! How did you learn?
- Pooh: Why, with a little help from us Super Readers.
- Duckling: Yeah! I just kept practicing floating, kicking, and gliding.
- Duck 2: Come on!
- Pinkie Pie: Hey, where are you taking him?
- Duck 2: We're about to jump on the water trampoline!
- Duckling: Oh, fun!
- Tigger: Say, he is like a bouncing Tigger like me!
{As the duckling kept bouncing for fun, a P, R, and I came out of the trampoline and floated by Super Why}
- Rarity: Look! The last super letters!
- Pooh: {To the audience and Rarity} You found our last super letters?

- Piglet: Why, we are glad.
- Duckling: Oh! Wait!
{The duckling dives down in the water and picks up the storybook gem with his beak}
- Twilight Sparkle: Is this what I think it is?
- Pooh: Yes, this must be the Ugly Duckling storybook gem.
- Tigger: Well, Duck. We gotta get back to the Book Club!
- Duckling: Bye!
- Cutie Mark Crusaders: Bye, Duckling!
