Through her love, faith and unwavering belief in ohana, the Hawaiian concept of loving your family, Lilo and the gang help unlock Stitch's heart and gives him the ability to care for someone else which is true love.
Opening Countertop[]
Bob and Larry greet the kids once again on the Countertop, where Bob explains that this week they got a letter from a kid named Percy Miles from Houston, Texas. After Larry greets Pete, Bob explains that Percy wrote to them saying that he has as new baby sister and that he's a big brother now with Larry congratulating Percy However, Bob also explains that he gets angry sometimes no one pays attention to him, as well as the fact that she can't play as much as she used to because her mother is always having her help out with the baby, before saying that her mom wants her to show love to her brother and family, but he's not sure how or why and wants Bob and Larry's help. After that, Bob then quips that that's a good question, which Larry agrees with. Bob then tells Percy that he knows of a Bible story that can help a lot, but Larry quickly stops him, telling him that he thought that they were going to do a Hawaiian story. Bob is confused, before Larry tells him that Hawaiian stories are set in Hawaii and have have Hawaiian Luaus, Hawaiian Foods, and Hawaiian Hula dances, before telling Bob that he promised that they'd do one, right before Larry went on vacation to Hawaii. Bob then tells Larry that what Percy really needs is a Bible story, but Larry tells Bob that he promised, which Bob says "Did I really say 'promise'?, to which Larry says that he did. Because of that, an argument ensues between Bob and Larry about whether to tell a Bible Story or a Hawaiian story. Before the argument can continue, Bob asks the viewers if they can have a few seconds, before a "We are Experiencing Technical Difficulties" sign appears, while Bob and Larry continue their discussion from behind the screen. After a few seconds, the screen lifts up, before Bob then explains that after a bit of discussion, they've compromised and decided that what Percy really needs is a Hawaiian Bible story, which Larry is happy to hear. Bob then says that without further ado, Larry then announces the story entitled "Lilo & Stitch".
Lilo & Stitch[]
The Galactic Federation arrests Dr. Jumba Jookiba for illegal genetic experimentation, having created Experiment 626. Before the experiment's sentencing and punishment, Experiment 626 escapes and crash lands on Kauaʻi, Hawaii. To capture him, the Federation assigns Agent Wendy Pleakley, the council's Earth expert, to capture the experiment, with Jumba helping in exchange for his release from prison.
On the island, Nani Pelekai struggles to take care of her rambunctious but lonely younger sister Lilo, after their parents died in a car crash. Social worker Cobra Bubbles expresses concern about whether or not Nani can take adequate care of Lilo. Since Lilo's hula classmates have ostracized her, (well, at least their leader Mertle made them do it) Nani decides to let her adopt a dog. At the animal shelter, Lilo takes interest in 626, impersonating a dog to avoid Jumba and Pleakley, who have already landed on Earth. Despite Nani's doubts, Lilo adopts and renames 626 "Stitch". That evening, at the restaurant where Nani works, Jumba and Pleakley unsuccessfully attempt to capture Stitch while in disguise. The owner blames the ensuing destructive chaos on Stitch and fires Nani. The next day, Cobra Bubbles warns Nani that he will have to place Lilo with a foster family if she doesn't find another job. However, Stitch's antics while evading his two pursuers persistently ruin Nani's chances of finding work.
Nani's friend David Kawena invites her, Lilo, and Stitch to enjoy a day of surfing and beach fun. While Nani, Lilo, and Stitch ride a huge wave, Jumba and Pleakley try to capture Stitch, causing Stitch to unintentionally pull Lilo underwater. They survive, but Cobra witnesses this event and tells Nani that, although she means well, it means that Lilo will have to be taken away if Nani doesn't find another job. Feeling guilty over how much trouble he has caused, Stitch runs off into the night. The next morning, the Grand Councilwoman fires Jumba and Pleakley and gives the assignment to Captain Gantu, incidentally freeing them both to pursue Stitch using less covert methods. Meanwhile, David informs Nani of a job opportunity, which she rushes off to pursue. Stitch, hiding in the nearby woods, encounters Jumba and Pleakly, who chase him back to Nani's house. A fight ensues, throwing the house into chaos and causing an explosion that damages it. Nani sees the chaos and rushes back home to see Cobra arrive to collect Lilo and take her away.
As Nani and Cobra get into a falling out, Lilo runs away into the woods and finds Stitch, who, in shame, reveals his alien identity before they are captured by Gantu. Stitch manages to escape from Gantu's ship but fails to rescue Lilo. Nani confronts him, having witnessed Lilo's kidnapping. Before he can explain, Jumba and Pleakley capture Stitch themselves. Nani demands that they help her rescue Lilo, but Jumba and Pleakley insist they only came for Stitch. When Nani breaks down, Stitch reminds her about ʻohana, a term for "family" he learned from her. Stitch convinces Jumba to help rescue Lilo. Jumba, Pleakley, Stitch, and Nani board Jumba's personal spaceship and chase after Gantu, rescuing Lilo.
Back on the shore, the Grand Councilwoman arrives on Earth preparing to take Stitch into custody, along with Cobra, who catches up to take Lilo away. She fires Gantu for his failure to capture Stitch, and for putting Lilo in danger, and blames Jumba for the mess. Before Stitch goes into the spaceship, he asks the Councilwoman to say goodbye to his new family. Lilo then insists that, because she paid for Stitch at the shelter and has a stamped receipt to show for it, Stitch is her pet under local law, and if the Councilwoman took him away, it would be tantamount to stealing. Impressed with Stitch's newfound civility and empathy, the Councilwoman decrees that Stitch will live in exile on Earth, entrusted to Lilo and Nani's care, and that the family will be under the care of the Galactic Federation & Cobra, who was a former CIA agent who knew the Councilwoman during the Roswell incident. Lilo, Nani, and their newfound friends rebuild their house, and Jumba and Pleakley become members of Nani, Lilo, and Stitch's family.
Closing Countertop[]
Back on the countertop, Larry says "That was great, Bob. That was the best Hawaiian Bible Story I ever heard." Bob then thanks Larry for the compliment, before saying that they're over by Qwerty to talk about what they've learned today, before a Hawaiian version of the "What Have We Learned" song starts playing, which Larry dances the hula to, while Bob is frustrated about it. After the song ends, Larry states that it's a little something he whipped up at Hawaii. When Bob asks what they learned today, Larry answers "That mosquito are an Endangered species", but Bob answers correctly that God wants us to love our Families. Bob explains that Lilo, Stitch, Nani, and David all looked out for each other because each wanted the others to be happy. And they also learned that Ohana means Family and Family means no one gets left behind. Bob and Larry then look up to see what verse Qwerty has, to which QWERTY pulls up the verse, which is:
"Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law." — Romans 13:8
Bob agrees and he explains to Percy that God gave us families to help each other and that the very best way for him to show love to his new little sister is to think about her first, like how his mom looks out for his, and that will help her grow up to be a great sister and that he will feel great because she helped Larry then says that it's time to go and that he has to get ready for the next show, before he hops off, with Bob asking him where he's going now. Larry then answers "Danish Immersion Camp!", before he comes out dressed in Danish clothes and says, "Flav, Gherk, Flav!" Bob and Larry then sign off after that, as the episode ends.
