As Cyndaquil

In Don't Touch That 'dile (RFFAoPTJJ), Ryan met Typhon as a Cyndaquil, when he was lost in the woods with Ryan, Meg, Miki and their friends.

As Quilava

Ryan then noticed Quilava and he recognized him as Liam's Cyndaquil and even stated that it had evolved. Thanks to Ryan's advice, Liam revealed that he had nicknamed it Typhon, after a monstrous serpentine giant and one of the deadliest creatures in Greek mythology.

As Typhlosion

Since their last encounter, in TBA, Typhlosion saw Ryan and was happy to see him, when Ryan saw Typhlosion for the first time, he asked Miki who that Pokémon was and scans her Pokédex which stats it is the evolved form of Quilava, Ryan asked if he had evolved from Quilava, to which Typhon nodded yes.

Typhon also seems to be aware about Ryan's harem, and thinks that Miki is one of his girlfriends, and laughs at the thought of it, to which Ryan asks him what is he laughing at.

Personality and characteristics

When Typhlosion was a Cyndaquil, he was initially shy and timid due to its nature and according to the Pokedex. But after being protected by Liam, he managed to open its shell and got along with its fellow teammates. Cyndaquil is shown to love the interest of battling and Ryan states it was a perfect fit for Liam from the start.

After he evolved into Quilava, he became more determined and stoic, overcoming his shyness and becoming more braver, he continued this personality even after evolving into Typhlosion. Typhlosion is shown to be fierce and powerful, and is shown to hate losing, this was shown when it lost against Clair's Kingdra.

• His Ability is Flash Fire.
• Typhlosion is the first Pokemon out of Liam's team to have its Hidden Ability.
• As Quilava, he is voiced by Bill Rogers.
