Ui Hirasawa

Ui Hirasawa is one of the main protagonists of the K-ON! series, she plays the guitar like her sister Yui Hirasawa (after she graduated for university) and also knows how to play the organ. As of Imitation Confrontation!, she is 17 years old, just like Azusa.

Bio[]

Yui's younger sister. Ui is basically a more skilled, knowledgeable, mature, dependable, and younger version of Yui Hirasawa. Ui's parents are a dating couple and are rarely home, so she does house tasks in their stead. When the story begins, Ui is a third-year junior middle school student, but later she enters the same school as her older sister in high school the following year. Unlike her older sister, Ui is mature, smart, responsible and handles household chores well, but she has a great deal of love and respect for her older sister and takes particularly good care of Yui, striving to look after her even at the risk of her own health. She has an extreme talent for playing the guitar, and became capable of playing with the rest of the Light Music Club band only after a few days of practice. Ui easily picks up hobbies and is very skilled at most things she does. Ui is actually considered as the ultimate groupie for her sister's band and supports them with all her heart. She occasionally provides a narrative to the story. She is in the same class as Azusa and hangs out with her sometimes.

The differences between sisters is quickly seen in episode 3 when Mugi, Mio, and Ritsu meet Ui for the first time, and are quite surprised at how Ui is compared to Yui. This has been used on occasion to tease Yui, though it is obvious to the three that Ui and Yui love and care for each other. Ritsu at times envies that and more than once she and the others wished they had a sister like Ui. This is seen when Ritsu hears about how Ui took care of Yui at the end of the Christmas episode.

Like Yui, she is a fast learner, as she was once at a baseball center with Jun and Azusa, and after Ui overheard some tips from a stranger, she followed his tips and managed to hit a home run on her first at-bat.

Sometimes, she teaches Yui how to play some parts of the guitar since Yui is not so good at reading sheet music. Despite being a year younger than Yui, she looks nearly identical to her when her hair is down. Once, she pretended to be Yui when her sister was sick but failed because she did not know the nicknames Yui had given to the Light Music Club members. One time Ui pretended to be Yui because she wanted to try to hug Azusa.

She joins the Light Music Club along with Jun at the end of the series, becoming a guitarist like her sister.

Ui was born one year after her older sister Yui Hirasawa and grew up with her together, developing a strong affection to her which was returned equally. One christmas in the past, she wished for a "White Christmas" which was provisorily granted the next day by Yui who stuffed a bush in front of their house with the foam of a pillow which earned Yui heavy scoldings from their father. Since their parents often travel across the world, Ui got used to fill the role of the household's caretaker and constantly looked after her older sister. Eventually, she became friends with Nodoka Manabe who often visited Yui at home and also build a friendly connection to their neighbour Tomi Ichimonji. After graduating from elementary school, she started visiting the same school Yui and Nodoka attended and became friends with her schoolmate, Jun Suzuki.

She is also shown to be very adept at cooking much like Brock does, due to the fact she often cooks for her sister, Yui.

Yui Hirasawa is the older sister of Ui Hirasawa, although Ui acts more like the "older sister" of Yui, as she is more responsible and mature enough to take care of her older sister. Yui is quite happy to have Ui as a sister and loves her very much. This is proven when she decides to make a meal for Ui when she got sick taking care of her despite her lack of cooking skills compared to Ui. Yui even dedicates one of the very first songs that she writes to Ui.

Azusa and Ui also had been good friends since their first year of high school. At that time, Ui introduced Azusa to the Light Music Club, accompanying her to their live performance at the freshman reception and persuading her to join the club.

After that event, they became good friends. When Azusa worried about new club members for the new Light Music Club, Ui and Jun gave her confidence by joining the club and together trying to persuade other students to get involved.

Jun Suzuki[]

Jun and Ui had been friends since primary school. They also went to the same junior high school and spend a lot of time together. In their first year, Ui tried to persuade Jun to join the Light Music Club, but Jun declined and instead joined the Jazz Club. In their third year, after the senior members of the Light Music Club had left for university, Jun and Ui together finally joined Azusa in building the new Light Music Club (Wakaba Girls aka Green Leaf Girls) and recruiting other students from their school to get involved.

She would help Brock with cooking and often learns how to make multiple recipes for her sister, Yui. Because of this, Brock asks Ui anything about what her Pokemon's liking is, as she is learning how to figure out what her Pokemon likes. As a result, she admires Brock for his cooking abilities.

Trivia[]

In Liam's Adventures of Pokemon the Series, Ui will appear in Securing the Future! where she, along with Mio, Azusa, Ritsu, Sawako, Nodoka Manabe, Tsumgui, Yui and Jun is shown to join the rest of Alola in showering Necrozma with light so it could return to its normal form.
She comes in Possession of the Crest of Generosity.
In Ryan's Adventures Series, while Ui is one of Ryan's allies, she was unable to do the biomerging either, so instead her Digimon digivolved instead of biomerging. By the finale of Digimon Tamers, she leaves her Digimon behind who had regenerated back all the way to its In-Training stage, so it can go back to the Digital World, resulting her to quit being a Digidestined in the process, and went back into being a Pokemon trainer alongside Yui and the others who had also quit being Digidestined as well.
She was nearly akumatized once in Ladybug (RFFAoMToLaCN), but due to the illness from Natalie, it was never fully completed. She had never been akumatized until Sister Stricter (RFFAoMToLaCN) where she was akumatized for the first time.
When the Miraculous is inhabited by the OC, Nikki, Ui becomes Sister Bug, a ladybug-themed superhero who helps Master Bug/Ladyan and friends ‘during particularly different missions’ in the first season and beyond.
Since she and Yui never loved Luka and Aidan, they have a liking to Haroldson as a friend.
