The Ultimen are a group of superheroes created to be loyal to the United States Government. But after they discovered to be part of an experiment to create superpowered clones with implanted memories the Ultimen (minus Long Shadow) attacked the Justice League but they defeated Long Shadow left to join the Justice League while the rest were taken in by Cadmus. It's covered that they're unstable and died from cellular degradation. When Galatea prepared to invade the Watchtower Cadmus created more than twenty-six groups of Ultimen clones but they're mindless and have no sense of free will, the rest of the League were outnumbed but together they defeated all the clones.
