Vanessa is an anti-heroic Overlander who is formerly a part of Team Overlander.
Appearance[]
Vanessa has short boyish black hair with both sides a bit shaved, pale white skin, blood red lips, and pastel green eyes. She wears a black tank top, a white ribbon wrapped around her waist several times, elbow-length fingerless gloves, dark gray and dark purple eyeshadow, torn tight black jean pants, and black knee-length boots with low heels. In addition, she wears a gold necklace with a beautiful glowing cyan moonstone that rests on her sternum.
Before Reaper and Team Overlander "betrayed" and abandoned her, Vanessa originally had tailbone-length hair pulled back into a ponytail. She wears a lilac jacket over a white shirt, a purple skirt, white knee-high stockings, and black high-heeled boots that reach to her thighs.
After the events of The Great Chaos Caper, Vanessa now wears a sleeveless emerald green tunic with gold details, a white blouse underneath it, and a black belt around her waist over a forest green shrug, a black cape, grayish-black tights, and dark brown calf-length boots with gold cuffs around the ankles. In addition, she wears a handmade amethyst necklace with blue, purple, and yellow beads to replace the moonstone and her hair grew longer to her back with a gold hair ornament adorned with emeralds.
Personality[]
Vanessa is described as very bitterly hostile as a result of her teammates leaving her. She is very aware that she comes across as unfriendly and prefers to be alone. In general, she dislikes people due to her trust issues and thus she is not very cooperative and can be stubborn. She talks very little, so when she does, she states things clearly and she appears to be very confident about her arguments. She is cynical and negative with a sharp tongue and sometimes talks in a cold sarcastic manner. While not the type to assertively act on her own, she is stated to have guts and willing to take action when it suits her. She has no problem blaming others coldly, harshly, and rudely to others about friends shunning and abandoning their own friends multiple times. She was also shown to be very openly irritated by people who believe in the supernatural.
As a result, Vanessa has become increasingly ruthless and sadistic. However, there are some lines she is still not willing to cross, such as sparing Sonic's life, who has been in the same position as her. However, she tells him they are not as similar as he says, and rejects his pleas for her to stop.
Fueled not only by her resentment by her teammates' "betrayal", Vanessa is very cold, aloof, snarky, vindictive, and cynical. Her ruthlessness proves to be equal or even superior to that of Shadow during his period of hatred and darkness and Sonic's outburst during the task of stopping the Dazzlings, something Vanessa was ironically fortunate to be spared from. She also believed that friendships are pitiful illusions that people believe in, seeing Team Sonic and the Mane Nine as fake friends and was ruthless and vain enough on calling herself "a noble vetern." While she would initially appear courteous around Sonic, she used their moments together to dishearten him after feeling threatened.
